Share structure:
Let's start here: We know the AS used to be 7B, but JT retired 1B officially. So AS is 6B. These other 2 data points are 2 years old and are likely not too accurate, but lets; work on that and see if we can improve our understanding.
OTCmarkets.com reports OS=5.147B and float = 3.036B. (as of 2012)
UNQT's Q2 reports OS at 5.947 B. as of 7/21/14
Other useful data:
No FTDs on shorts, two reverse splits in the past ten years, last one was 2010 and both were done by previous administration. JT has explicitly stated no RS as he feels it would send a bad message to the market and the shareholders.
Shorting has been on the low-ratio side for 2 weeks. Prior changes are random and sporadic.
It would be fair and accurate to say the present incarnation of this company is not yet a year old, yet, a yearlong DTC chill has been lifted, the company has now remained Pink-=current, PRs have made it clear that transparency has a place here and is valued but not abused. Zero sign of any dilution.
That seesm to be about the lay of the land at this moment.
Spock... being the data junkie he was born to be.
Gosh, Rasta...man. We already saw those terrible 2s. We've been moving away from that for some time now. Catch the wave.
Spock, out.
Well, MB16, I would love to tell you that we have concrete confirmation that this is the next APPLE, but those PRs have not been written yet. Don't know if you have a position in this or not, but some of us here see what amounts to a brand new company rising from the ashes of an old one.
The new guy at the helm is a no-nonsense, straight-talker. He Prs when there is reason to, but if that is not good enough for some, he can readily be reached by phone. He is transparent and he is busy laying the groundwork for what will likely turn out to be one hell of a holding company. IT's all about building solid value, step by step. That's the boring part. Nothing really sexy going on, just good, old-fashioned bricklaying, one brick at a time.
Spock.... trying out my new voice recognition software.
Ailment or vaccine? Depends on context. It would be very fair to tell you that once upon a time, not so long ago, I was a serious flag-waver for another security. The CEO bit its investors hands clean off without so much as shedding tear or even wincing. It was cold, brutal and lethal. He is gone now.
I might be accused of being a pom-pom shaker for UNQT all day long but the story here is different. This CEO is a completely different sort of gentleman.... and this has made all the difference.
IF JT ever shuts out the investors/supporters/owners...I'll be gone.
In the meantime..I am completely happy where I am.
Have a great weekend.
Spock, out.
Getting all them ducks in a row. This is precisely how one entices other firms to do bidnez wichoo. It increases JT's already vetted credibility as a CEO and tells each of us investors that once in awhile, a pink offering comes from the hand of established business people with integrity, intelligence and ambition.
We Vulcans admire these traits a great deal.
Oh, what a lovely day it will be when the rest of the world learns what we already know.
UNQT....long and strong!
{I tried once to get Starfleet to do an IPO. They said, "no" but I was sure it was a great idea. Sold the concept to the Ferengi and made a small fortune.)
...and there we have it. He is building a holding company and he is going to hold things worth holding. He is looking for a few more UNQTs ( infant, undiscovered gems)to add to the company's own portfolio and when he sees them he'll make a play for them.
This is going to be a patient player's game. Anyone looking for a quick 2-tick flip is probably going to be long gone by the time we see the numbers we know are now in the early stage of coalescence.
Note: When you check out the otcmarket's data page about those companies that had great, green days, look and see how many of them are triple or even double-zero companies. That'll give you a good perspective of the sort of play this is.
Spock.... trying to find the keys for the shuttle. Damn.
This is pretty much the sort of man I would've expected JT to be. The health thing does not really bother me so much, especially if he has trusted people working with him.
It does make me wonder, though, if the reason we do not actually see the names of the other board member on official documentation very much is that UNQT gas not yet purchased the requisite keyman insurance for them, which is very expensive. Made maybe more expensive, perhaps, because of JT's health history.
Anyway, as for the chill, I recall that the previous incarnation of UNQT had some serious improprieties regarding data on financial reports,handling/mingling of funds, etc. This went on for awhile before the DTC stepped in and appropriately stopped activity. SHow's JT's commitment that he foot the bill to fix everything.
Also, really like that he is taking his time to find components that are a good fit for the holding company rather than entertaining everything that shows up at the door. Very prudent. Very smart. He is not going to be taken for a ride.
Time to buy a liitle more UNQT I'm afraid.
Spock...digging into the little coffers again.
Long range sensors have discovered a shift in the universe. The MWWC tab is, in fact gone, but there is acknowledgement of the MWWC business directly on the SBDG press release page. SBDG simply moved it so that any news related to it would show up there instead.
That seems to me to be ... logical. Inasmuch as this as a subtle but recent change it would seem fair to assume that MWWC is still a work in progress as far as they are concerned. The actual text was updated as well. It was not as if they simply cut and paste from the former page. They authored new text. Unfortunately it does not reveal anything particularly significant, but that is the lay of the land as of this day.
SPock....debugging my replicator. (All the food comes out transparent. Very unappetizing.)
Looks as though a number of buyers have not had any trouble picking up 2s today. 1s are rare, but can be done with patience and timing. Most of my position averages out to under 2.5/share pretty easily.
Happy hunting.
Spock... Did beam Checkov into a horrible holodeck scene while he was asleep. Bones says he'll probably be alright given some time. He he he heee.
I am such a bad little Spock sometimes.
As did I, Al. I just hate seeing that .0001 sitting there. To me, it is like someone sayin' "Hey, dood, you KNOW what this is. Have some more for a song. You KNOW you want it."
I feel very, very comfortable that our sideways run is about to end and that a day is coming that will bring broad smiles to many of our stoic faces.
I will admit, I thought news would break by the holiday, but since it didn't, it only means that the news is just not ready yet. JT has put together the foundation of what could be a serious monster and he knows that our confidence in him ( translated into dollars invested) is only as good as he is.
Do it up right, JT.
GO UNQT.
I feel as good about this as the first day I got in.
Spock....transporting Chekov (while he sleeps) to the nightmare-themed holodeck I created just for him. Gosh, I am a piss.
I have been checking in at the SBDG website very often where they have a dropdown tab specifically dedicated to news about MWWC. Since April, there has only ever been one posted by a Mr. Roy Salisbury stating that they found the company when it was in an awful condition, that much work would have to be done to determine what, if anything, should be done with it. Any Updates would be published there.
As of this morning, the MWWC tab is gone. I make no assumptions yet as to what this might mean. I will wait.
Over the past couple of months I have seen buys come in for this stock. Not large buys, small ones, a hundred bucks here or there. There have been sells as well. But no news at all, anywhere.
Having just emailed SBDG's investor-relations address again, hopefully some information will get shared, which I would disseminate here.
Let's see what's up.
Spock.... scanners scanning deeply.
Doubled its daily average in trades. Ya, yer right. No one's interested. Sharp assessment skills, there, bud!!!
A quatloo for your thoughts. Not.
SPock...feeling like a sparkling coffee right about now would be quite nice.
Sorry, dude, I got a screen FULL of buyers at 5 and 6. Maybe my screen is in metric, though, Let me check.
Geez, Louise!!
Spock,, looking for someone to spock.
It's a pleasure. thv.
Well, almost a year to the day, the very day SP told us of the new contracts in India, the website has finally vanished. We were so excited, so pumped. Our man, SP, was finally busting out and making real headway. Marriott in his back pocket, LNET on the run. Wow. We were pumped. Pumped hard...then summarily dumped ----- on practically the same day as SP silently registered for his new fertilizer business.
Tuition payment made in full from how many of us?
I could've been somewhat forgiving had I been extended some honesty by him, but he treated many of us like a $10 whore. Oh, wait, they get paid.
I think another fact from the past which I find curious, if not meaningful is that around the end of April was the last time this stock had some real volatility. At that time, one would expect to find lots and lots of posts on this forum, yet around the end of April, one discovers there are practically no posts at all.
Either literally everyone had put this out of their heads or many posts got deleted. For the record, I am definitely not trying to allege anything. I am only pointing to a fact of record that defies human nature.
I find this...
yes, FASCINATING.
FOr those here who are longtime holders, can you shed any light on what was going on with the company at that time? Seems there was serious questioning as to whether or not the company was being abandoned.
Spock.... dyeing some of my tribbles to fluorescent colors to see what impact this might have on mating habits.
Ballsy. Putting out something as important to investors as quarterly financial data on a weekend says to me something like this:
If you like these numbers , it doesn't make an ounce of difference if we post on Saturday night or 20 minutes before the opening bell. Good numbers are good numbers any time. Clearly UNGS is not attempting to exploit any excitable or emotional investors out there who might artificially drive the price this way or that. This way, everyone has a couple of days to really assess all the available data before they make further moves.
Outcome: the Board may well get a clearer view of how the market truly feels about the company. THAT is very, very valuable information.
I am no CPA and I cannot tell just from the quarterly just how well the company is functioning as a money-making venture, but seeing them make this move in this way tells me something I like about UNGS. It says their skin is thick enough to set themselves up for bad news if it should turn out that the market does NOT like what it sees in this quarterly. It tells me that they know they can only make good decisions if they have good information.
I like that. I am getting to be pretty mouthy for a Vulcan. I apologize. I will go back to what I was doing. No, please don't ask. Spock, out.
Splish- Splash....... This one's takin' a bath. I think this drop is not "real", though. Been watching the trades here for weeks. Lot more shares being bought than sold. Today's sudden drop walks and talks just like a typical 100 share paint job commonly used to alter the "LAST TRADE" price many often cue in on.
SOmeone is working very hard to "fake" out the market here at least for the short term.
I must find a way to deactivate his or her cloaking device.
Spock,,,, running war scenarios on the holodeck.
OK, deadboy. Make your case. Why is it ridiculous. Convince us. thv
Isn't it fascinating, though, that the very next day after scrumpy discusses the merits of a ticker change that it happens?
Well, Vulcans....like myself...find that....
Fascinating.
Spock, out.
I don't think yer gonna half ta wait that long, somehow.
Spock, sleep drunk.
While I agree with your observation 101%, those who actually do any reasonable DD will have to come away with nothing less than a very good hunch that something is up, that more is going on than meets the eye. This is my takeaway thus far.
I view this as a new venture with an old name. My DD says this is something to watch very closely and to react quickly if need be. Anyone trying to do something on such a grand scale is either a total dreamer or someone who is very competent and knows how to bring it to fruition.
I think the latter is what is going on here. I don't have a ton invested, but enough to make good hay out of any good thing that evolves from it.
It is a curious beast among the pinkies for sure.
Spock.... squinting, stroking goatee.
Does such a rumor exist at all...or..is this just a rumor of a rumor? C'mon....can we possibly keep some level of reality in play here?
As for a scam...nope. No sign of one.
There are a few weeks during the course of the year where I expect to see business all but stop. This is one of them. The week bewtween Christmas and New Year's Day is one of them. The week of Thanksgiving is one of them. My point is that our present lull is probably nothing more that people getting in that last vacay before Autumn kicks in .
I wish deep space had seasons. Meteor showers don't herald the onset of a rainy season.
Spock..way out there.
It probably means BOOM. Would not be at all surprised to see a new website up and probably something good for investors to chew on as well. It could very easily mean BOOM.
Let's see.
Spock, standing closely by.
I'm right there with ya, but I am figuring this being the last weekend of Summer, sort of, that I shouldn't be holding my breath until after the Holiday. I will be thrilled though to get news anytime this week, though.
As I recall, at least one of the recent additions to the UNQT portfolio was producing some good income. I would like to learn more about that as well as the other pursuits recently mentioned.
I am way long on UNQT.
Way Long.
Thinkin' about modifying our civilzation's motto to something like this:
Prosper and live long.
What do you think of it?
Spock, out.
462,000 O/S as of 7/31? This is, like, nothing. Lucky to get any shares at all. Last week, my order sat 2 days at ask without getting filled. This is the strangest issue in my portfolio. Some days , like today (so far) all buys. others, all sells.
There can be no doubt Mr. Edwards has significant connections in China. Also, In terms of human nature, the lack of any news, at least in English anyway, bolsters the possibility he is trying to keep most of this very quiet for the moment, perhaps for the benefit of a large investor. (Total spec on my part.)
This Vulcan is bumfuzzled. (Not a very flattering term if you happen to be a Vulcan, I assure you.)
Having read the 'letter' and accepting it at face value for the most part, I must at least applaud management's attempt to at least be somewhat candid even if it is not at all flattering. This is respectable. It shows some integrity. Though they have paid dearly for a lesson hard-learned, they still have a fine product and as long as they can continue to produce and distribute it while getting much sharper about running their company..this has a real shot. They will not likely make the same mistake twice.
Further, others point out that offerings by other so-called companies have done better without anything but a virtual existence on the net, no real anything. This is very true. I have a long way to go to even break even on this, but regardless, I remain long. One or two heavy-hitting contracts will entirely improve the prospects for these guys.
Spock...w/pop-tarts and kale slushie at hand.
I view this one stock as a particular gem in my portfolio right now. Having a pinkie that reports regularly to shareholders, is current on filings and clearly making headway on a plan is, while not entirely rare, rarely this cheap.
JT is and has been building obvious value. We can see that in the Q2 report. Is there any better position to be in that the ground floor -literally- on this? I have been in the position in the recent past where a long-held undiscovered suddenly issued the sort of news that sent its value through the roof. I will be there again, with UNQT and I know it for certain.
Spock... waving banner! Oh, one future revelation for you 21st century folk. FacBook will have become MindBook before too long. Before that, it'll do a 10,000 RS, though. Ouch.
Can't do that clean.... very unethical, though I understand the creativity and such of your suggestion. Karmically, I am already due to pay a heavy price for some 'indiscretions' I committed as a younger person.
SPock........standing by.
2s, you say? I have been trying to get my order of 2s filled by Etrade for 3 sessions. All I have is partially filled order. Amazingly, the amount by which my order now remains unfilled is almost exactly--to the share- the amount on the bid at 10:46 am this morning.
Huh.
Sorry, I mean "fascinating."
Earth markets are puzzling entities, indeed.
Spock.... learning how to use a 4-dimensional abacus.
Yes, not all brokerages have settled their accounts post-split. I had the same prob. thv
Acknowledged. Also, note buy to sell ratio is about 6:1 right now on decent volume for this stock. Buyers are lining up to be in position for next run. Like it alot.
Spock, to engineering. Black holes suck.
Little vulcan humor, there.
Alot of 2s got sold off by folks who weren't really up for the long game here. I think the Summer hurt the market a fair bit as it does every year. Most people have no clue what it takes to build a company from the ground up. It is a huge personal undertaking. Based on JT's performance thus far this year, it is very safe to say he is very hard at work, he is very likely to continue to remain very transparent and he will release only quality information when it is timely to do so.
I can support a company that is being grown in this manner. I can get behind a guy who treats his shareholders and his obligations to them respectfully. I buy every chance I get because UNQT is the real deal.
SPock.. really dealing.
ANyone seeing on their scanners what I am seeing on mine? Pretty large buys coming in all of a sudden. Oh..... I DO like this very much.
Spock.... chuckling warmly.
Of course JT has virtual offices. Is there some reason why this is somehow detrimental to an upstart company? Does anyone expect the CEO to be in several places on the North American continent at the same time? As long as the phone either gets answered or the call gets returned, then what is the issue here?
Over and over I keep reading posts that offer no substantiation for some rather ridiculous, frivolous or specious claims. Just what should a financial report like like then from a fundamentally new company whose board and core purpose are completely different from its battered past? And if one does not have several mill just lying around to get all this done, then how else does one move forward but in small steps as we see here?
It appears we have a capable, intelligent and an ambitious CEO focused on building a good thing. If a good thing is being done then negativity has no place here.
....in my little green-blooded opinion. Spock..removing navel lint.
Oh, it definitely is not THAT. I see this for what it is. It is not much more than a lottery ticket. But, factoring in human nature, and how money can drive it, I see this as a play that is very interesting and with each passing week lately, I "feel" like there is more positive potential.
I also look closely at the man driving it. I think about what I can learn about him from my DD. Then I apply that knowledge to the stated goal and begin the trepidatious process of extrapolation.
Losing on this will not be hazardous to my health. My vulcan blood pressure is also very responsive to my mental control processes. But I'd still be wildly pissed if if I ended up being completely wrong.
I would sulk.
Vulcans sulk.
SPock, out.
I agree, if that was the move they decided was the best option. IF.
It would have to be explained, it would have to make sense and it would have to have a near immediate positive impact on the pps. Anything less would put a serious strain on a situation that has been trying to heal, even if slowly, much like reopening a wound only partially healed.
I have other thoughts on this matte, but I get wordy sometimes so unless compelled, I'll sit back it spout off occasionally.
When I read the report, I noticed that there were some data points not addressed that I was hoping to learn some more about, but in retrospect, I see this is not actually a 10-Q. This is entitled an "Interim Financial Report", which suggests to me that the provided data will ..for the...moment..satisfy the filing requirement until a formal 10-Q in presented to the public.
Assuming that such a report will be prepared and be as transparent as this interim report is, I am completely satisfied at this point. Again, this is a brand new company in all respects but name. I feel this i the exactly the way a company should be. I am long, very long on UNQT, Carry on, JT.
Spock.... standing by.
Oh, yes. I, too , have seen this. II can think of few worse ways to send a message. There should never be any question but that the AS is dropped proportionately in such a case.
SPock.... reading business ethics books....with my pet.
I will have to say I am less than pleased. I have been attempting to either buy or sell this security all week and Etrade restricts it (yet I purchased my first post-split shares from etrade). I see others buying and selling, presumably from other brokerages, but my opportunity to make a profit will now have to wait indefinitely.
I feel despicably and uncharacteristically confused.
I thought one could only feel this way from illness or alcohol consumption.
Spock.... wobblin'
