lol, theoretically, yes. But unless she makes some changes to what she said in that PR, I don't see how she can compel people to accept the exchange.
But does the shares I have go up in price by 90%
If she does a reverse split, yes, the price will be automatically adjusted, and that's were the stock will open. In the case of reverse splits, though, usually it drops rather quickly after that.
If she does a tender offer making the exchange optional, the price will not be automatically adjusted, because Mr Market won't know how many shareholders accepted the offer, and how many didn't.
Right here:

It's as zany as it gets...
Nobody told me. The markets work according to rules. There's no mechanism that would make what Pearl wants to do possible.
Basically, she has two choices:
-- She could make a tender offer to shareholders, offering the exchange as outlined. Shareholders could accept or decline.
-- She could do a reverse split, with or without offering the debentures as a kind of "sweetener".
the transfer agent isn't going to stop a shareholder from withdrawing his shares before the conversion date.
I didn't say he would.
as long as your shares are in your brokerage account on the conversion date they will be converted 90% to debentures.
Once again, how? Pearl can't just order brokerages to do that. If she wants to do it by fiat, she has to file with the Nasdaq to do a reverse split.
lol, the price depends entirely on state taxes.
lol, I think you're right. Caught that after reading his other posts.
He'd give a lot. Frizzy would be a very rich man.
Ohhhhh. Well, that's just ridiculous. Why should it vary from state to state??
THIS WAY THE COMPANY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CONVERT THEM TO DEBENTURES OR DO A REVERSE SPLIT WITH THEM
They couldn't convert them to debentures, but they could still do a reverse split. They'd make you return your cert in exchange for a new one.
new came out on paim.
That isn't news. It's just a Canadian tout sheet touting PAIM. I'm too lazy to look to see whether they're being paid.
So how will this trade between June 1 and June 15? If the shareholders of record can get the debenture, but other shareholders will not get the debenture, then what happens to their share price on June 2?
Good questions. Everyone's waiting for Pearl to answer them.
It's also wrong. I don't think there's any kind of ciggie that costs $8.62 per pack here in Pennsylvania.
The prices given for the tobacco states are all wrong, too.
perhaps those that want to stop their paim shares from converting to debentures should ask their broker to hand them over the paim stock certificates.
hmmm... That's an interesting idea. But Pearl could always ask the TA not to honor your request. That probably woudn't be legal, but it might be difficult to get satisfaction, especially given that the TA's Canadian.
and find 90% of your shares converted to Debentures in your brokerage account.
it will be a fait accompli
I'll ask again: how, exactly, will that be accomplished?
Just follow the instructions of the company.
The company hasn't given any "instructions". It hasn't communicated with shareholders in any way in months.
We will see .06 today
Guess not.
I should have clarified; they apparently won't take U.S. penny stock certs for deposit.
LOLOL!! That might do the trick, at least until I got out of the hospital.
Yes...cooler up there, too. You have only the bulletproof goats to deal with.
LOL!! I wonder if hot sauce is also a bacteriacide.
Cigs , on the other hand are around 9.00 / pack or about 8.00 US.. very comparable to most states..
My GOD!! High as the price per pack is, it ain't $8. Well, possibly in California, but not in most states. Here in PA it's about $40 to $5.50, depending on brand. Though oddly, the price varies from store to store and from week to week.
I buy online. Just got some Indian knockoffs of my usual brand for $9.99 a carton.
The Royal Bank is straight as an arrow.
lol, except for that little mutual fund scandal a few years back.
I have heard from 2 good sources that R B C CANNOT get certs to deliver.
You got certs from them, didn't you? Perhaps at this point the operative phrase is "will not". You know that the Canadian brokerages now refuse to deal in certs.
I do not expect all shareholders to be delighted with the information I impart with my updates. Many shareholders, myself included, are frustrated.
Interesting...
Man, Urban sure looks rough for 38. I suppose being the CEO for the world's biggest mining company takes its toll.
lol, in reality, Urbie is only 49, I believe. He looks at least ten years older.
I confess I'm surprised. The current number of shareholders is 36193. Absolutely amazing that so many lacked the wit to sell before revocation.
Of course, what about those unregistered shares that UC hawked in Sask? How much must we add for those?
Good question. Are they the certs for which there's "no record"? Has anyone ever bothered to add 'em up?
He ran a billion dollar conglomerate for Hughes...
And then Hughes fired him.
Rumor has it..Peter is even sharper than his dad!
If so, that could be why he's not involved in the CMKX mess.
Are you on first name basis with Presidents and kings???
lol, I don't think Maheu is either. I'm sure that if he ever actually met any Prezes, he called them "Mr President". Kings aren't on a first-name basis with anyone but personal friends and relatives.
Very similar to the various products touted during the anthrax scare as "able to kill anthrax spoors on surfaces". The same could be said for sulphuric acid.
Or for ordinary bleach.
I've heard of Vachss, but I don't think I've ever read any of his books. The name's so familiar, though... Sounds like an interesting guy.
So how's the weather in Tashkent? Better than usual, I hope. The camels aren't bothering you this time, with any luck.
Sue I haven't looked into what your talking about but there must be information regarding this type of transition on the internet.
We've been talking about this for DAYS now.
It can not be legal for an entity to automatically convert anything that I own, bought and paid for for their own good.
It's legal. But ONLY if Pearl does an r/s through the regular channels.
LOLOLOLISSIMO!!
9 out of every 10 shares owned by each shareholder will automatically be converted
And how, exactly, will that be done?
Whackjob.
You're wrong. How can anyone predict what PAIM shares will be worth five years from now?
orders executed today size and time.
"Time and sales" is the term you're looking for.
