This is very sad!
The all-stars on this board, yourself included, should migrate to another. I need continuing education ;)
Panic or frenzied buying is never as volatile/far more orderly as compared to panic selling. Slower moving price swings on the way up, even if up a lot, equal less volatility.
My guess of why the vix tends to jump on big down vs. up days, although if you told me you totally understood how it worked, I wouldn’t believe you :)
Lol, bingo. Appreciate the quality post!
If quality and pertinent info is your game, see Player1234’s posts. Useful.
Agreed. Could be starting, they spat out some gloom and doom today.
A little worried about my weekend longs, but still think indices have room to run to recent highs. Notable that AAPL news drove the gloomy reaction today, not general virus news (although that was bad).
Betting on the dip, but nervous.
Agree that it’s gonna drop eventually. But will it crash 10-20%, or more 7% pullbacks like last week?
2nd Q numbers will be abysmal, but could some of that be baked in? In any case, I’m with you and won’t hold longs through reporting. But that’s six weeks away. Plenty of time for exuberance.
Btw, I’m speculating medium-term, not day to day here. TVIX is tricky intraday, although you often get nice scalps off the daily bottom or soon after a morning index gap-up.
If I’m right, I’ll start accumulating TVIX around $100 and and hope for a 50-100% move. Disastrous virus news will gum these works up.
Best of luck.
Could be. I’m back into TQQQ on today’s dip.
I’ll admit the virus news is good for some skittishness. Let’s see how EOD plays out.
I wouldn’t get too excited about this in short-term. Stupidly sold my longs mid-week, Friday and Monday was an amazing buying opp. That 7 percent correction gave buyers confidence.
Expect TVIX to keep dropping to 100 range and under before any turbulence, markets will cruise for awhile. Looking for another big intraday dip for TQQQ to ride up for awhile. The force is strongest with the techies.
Neither do I.
Is this stock only worth about $1/share pre-split? Troubling that we’re trading about here for quite awhile.
Powell speaking again today?? Anyone know what time and where?
TIA!
Oy. Thanks man.
Praying some idiot buys us out in the $40-50 range, although that may be a covid-induced delusion.
Great, thank you. All will be appreciative, promise.
Good call, lol.
Give your bird droppings a rest for just a bit.
This stock is just killing me.
Have to say I agree with the first part. SPY pulled back approximately 7.5% from recent high to today’s intraday low. Not an insignificant drop.
We had a legit 100+ point run here. I’ll wait to start a new position in the $100 range. Fed will be hard at work.
We shall see. Good luck all.
If you profited, all is good.
I thought about hanging on with the idea this could push to 3-400.
Could happen, but there are major dip buyers that didn’t exist during March’s crash. And Fed support is epic. So the risk profile has fundamentally changed imho.
And we can always buy back if we think it’s gonna run big.
Best of luck.
Always a good idea to listen a little more and talk a little less.
About doubled my position and averaged down to 150 from 153 this morning. Sold at 184.
A little too soon, but bought a little too soon too :) Rode this down to 106 before bounce of last two days.
Excellent move. Always a pleasure to prove a concept.
Holler to all who banked green today.
Feeling good about the momentum. Wildcard is what BS Powell and co will spew this week.
Unreal.
Medium to long-term certainly true, but not in a straight line.
Agree with Skimboard, great research. Many thanks.
Totally agree. And peeps are drunk as the dickens on this propping at the moment. My sense is the hangover ain't far away.
Here's my play. Betting on a significant market correction in fairly near term. While the big move off the very low bottom made sense, it was too big imho. The idea we're marching right back to ATHs in the face of economic devastation is highly suspect.
Started a small position at 153 earlier in week. If we sell off here, I'll make a reasonable amount of profit and consider buying more on way up depending on circumstantial clarity.
If market keeps driving higher, I'll average down and just wait for what I believe is inevitable.
Oh well, plans are a dime a dozen, so I might as well come up with one! Would love to catch the next 50% or more move here.
Best of luck to all.
Agreed. Scratch my conservative views earlier in week, market's gonna correct in a major way. And that military news article you sent is crazy, but not surprising. The "Warp Speed" news conference was pure propaganda. Now they're sending Fauci out to opine on economic consequences.
Whoops, egg on my face.
Thanks for this info.
Reliva netted 662K in first quarter. So we diluted the shares by about 3% to add an (hopefully) annualized ~2.6M of net income.
Helps close the EBITDA gap, but not by much. Is it really worth it?
My account still smells like horsesheet. But waiting patiently.
I’m trying to think of something stupid that I hate more than ACB. Extremely difficult.
$40M in new shares being issued? Jesus with this company.
Uh oh
Was an excellent buy at those levels, congrats.
In at 153
Seems lately when index ETFs gap up, they pull back a bit around 9:45-10:30, then back up. Opp in there for said window TVIX, then switch back to ETFs.
No brilliant analysis here, Might try this today.
Notwithstanding any more fake news about a vaccine, of course.
You would think so, and it probably will at some point.
But A LOT of deep-pocketed speculators around the world will continue to buy dips in a major way. They got a lot of money and don’t give a damn about these stats, and will provide support.
We did have a 35 percent drop, which is pretty bonkers. Pissed I missed the big run-up.
Let’s hope they actually work hard and with integrity to save this company.
If you’re interested in this company, DO NOT look into the financials.
Nice chart
You mean you have a meeting on another IHub board? How can you meet on two iHub boards at same time?
ROFL
I would be wary of shorting in the middle of a short squeeze.
Best of luck.
Definitely true that dilution has been a major problem here.
