OT and just to bring a little humor here ...
Here's part of a post that brings the fine art of hurling insults to a new level (was it posted to anyone regularly posting on here, I wonder):
Clearly, your grasp and command of recent modern history, geopolitics, current events and socio-economic issues is about as adroit and accurate as your unwitting but memorably nonsensical attempts to use the simpler constructs and allegorical concepts inherent in the English Language to convey anything of meaning.
It is obvious, by their very absence, that you mark yourself out to be of an intellect so low that an amoeba would have trouble passing beneath your standard aptitude benchmark.
In short, it is blindingly obvious that the abandonment of any form of education at what one can only adjudge to be during your most productive infantile period (a time when at least your mouth could be used to some productive end) continues to cause you and those forced to live within your cesspit of influences considerable duress and unremitting pain.
I hope you feel better, paige (that's for real ... sounds like no fun what you seem to have).
When you do, I hope you'll come back to my questions.
... you can't wait for the future to unravel???
Maybe a poor choice of words, paige. I'm sure monsoonman will giev you a wikipedia definition.
"But I was assured that those units were gone sold or leased whatever < my words"
Which units, the two Baxa has? Or all the others being stored in the cdex property?
"gone sold or leased whatever" -- hardly precise, is it? Can't believe you think "your words", which may well reflect the vagueness of the "assurance" you got, satisfied you. Big difference between sold and leased and 'whatever' -- like given away for free (as was the case with Hammersmith and Charing Cross hospitals).
ok, I'll jump on it, paige ...
You and your husband helped read through the motions? There wasn't a company secretary there to read and record plus write up minutes? In all the sh'mtgs I've ever been to, I've never attended one where there wasn't one, where a sh'holder was asked to "help." Doesn't that seem odd to you, that your hero didn't have someone from the company or from their auditors to serve in that function?
You asked "some good questions" per malc -- you asked at least three -- but you can't remember what they were? You didn't even write your questions down, much less his answers?
You and others who were there were able to see (or were told) what the hopsitals were ... and which ones were white and which ones red? Wouldn't that be called selective disclosure?
You got to "see the tour" (whatever that means) three times? What besides the map with flags representing hospitals did you see, and why three times?
What questions did your husband ask? What were the answers? If they were humdingers, surely you must remember them (or he does).
No, I've never heard the expression "Far%en thru Silk" -- far percenten through silk? What does it mean and what bearing does it have on cdex or the sh'mtg?
How many sh'holders were at the meeting?
"Allocated" is another wonderful word. It does not mean sold or presold or any other term of art misleading the public (including potential pp'ers) into thinking this fiscal year is going to be noteworthy and full of revenues.
"We have now ordered all of the major components for 115 Units, allocated for both the national and international markets."
The synonym for "available" is not "sold."
Pouligny's distribution contacts have their work cut out for them ... or Pouligny himveryownself does.
I like seeing the day's activity at the head of the page. Good addition, whoever did it.
I don't think clozer is at all puzzled.
He made his killing once and understands relationships and "plans" that others refuse to acknowledge.
I hope ~kidd is still writing his book.
I know, crow ... but would whitemanfromtown resort to a cheap trick like dadoc's?
In any case, I'm going to be very interested to see what kind of success that midEast distributor channel has in "placing" ValiMed. I'm sure we'll get a PR with every one. Maybe there'll even be other distributor "partnerships" announced with northern Europe or the British Isles as the targets, now that southern Europe and the middle east have been penetrated. After that, Germany and central Europe and finally Russia and China!
The flagged "map" at the next sh'mtg will have to be huge, just HUGE!!!
a delayed edit ...
"crow ... it seems there are no incoming dollars, sales dollars, in those contracts."
Should have written ...
"it seems there are no incoming dollars, sales dollars, in the BAXA contract and none as a result of the sundry "partnership" arrangements that are now in place."
Otherwise, no changes in my opinion.
I have said repeatedly that the VALIMED is of SOME use. It no doubt does what it can. Which ain't enough to justify its cost.
Which is why it's being given away?
crow ... it seems there are no incoming dollars, sales dollars, in those contracts. Bigg pricetag on those blue machines that are still being tested.
Testing can go on for years ... just as loch/cdex has gone on for years. Everyone's looking for a better mousetrap, and I'm sure pharmacists are no different when it comes to their area of expertise.
The distributor partnerships being set up are for ... what? A machine that has promise but not much else (besides capnmike's "brave" report and some different colored flags on a map at a sh'mtg) to recommend it? Or are they being used primarily for their PR value?
Why does everyone (me included) keep coming back to product sales as some sort of benchmark? Can't anyone see the bright future of this remarkable product?
ELF and vammp were going to change life as we know it on planet Earth, too. Not to mention incredible edible cotton seeds and lunar pumps (that worked as well with moonlight as sunlight to recharge them).
Oh wait ... I guess Cardinal understands what's in the future and could be the white knight that makes an offer to buy the company lock stock and loaded meth gun and then the real fun will begin. I'm sure Cardinal's offer would start a bidding war. What in the world is holding them up?
"Just be patient, shareholders ... the wait will be worth it."
(c) and (tm) malcaby circa 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and for the foreseeable future.
Wash, rinse, repeat ... plus ca change.
Here ya go, capnmike ...
to add to your cache of important things to consider (though I'm sure you've already researched his background).
http://center.spoke.com/info/p8Hc07j/PascalPouligny
You're really wound up today, whitemanfromtown.
Something bothering you?
wmft ... somehow I don't think capnmike needs your permission to post whatever he decides to. He can answer my question if he wants to ... or not, as he chooses.
And just how does that answer my questions to you?
My questions had to do with your opinion that publishing the study results was brave and courageous and with what iyo made the study itself "stunning."
If you're going to spend any time replying to a post of mine to you, in this case a post asking you a question about something you stated in a post of yours, please try not to drift away. I'm perfectly capable of looking up patents and patent aps myself.
This is the second time you've posted this (your) opinion, capnmike:
"The courageousness and professionalism of the University of Michigan team cannot be understated in my opinion. Clearly, they understand the importance of CDEX technology applications, and exhibit extraordinary professional bravery in publishing this stunning study."
So I will ask you again (since you might not have seen my first request for elucidation):
What is the "extraordinary professional bravery" they've exhibited by publishing the results of this study? And what makes the study "stunning"?
All in your view, of course.
You prolly ought to stop using that word 'cabal' wmft. Not smart.
I gather Pouligny wasn't at the sh'mtg ... why not, I wonder? I gather no one present asked abot him. He's obviously the best thing to have happened to the company in a long time.
Oh wait, I can guess why he wasn't there -- prolly out telling more of his contacts about Valimed and the meth thing -- maybe next he'll be selling a crossover device: a "being developed" point and shoot "gun" that can validate pharmacy compounds, no technical expertise required (except for being able to read "OK" or "Not OK"). Idiot proof.
I wonder how Malc met him and persuaded him to work for the company. Enquiring minds want to know.
Absolutely, what does "production cycle" really mean?
The meaning of 'is' is ...
And flags scattered all over a map ... give me a break. Remarkable how effectively MP used visual aids, like pushpins on a WWII world map to show "fronts" and deployed troops, to impress the few people in attendance at the sh'mtg.
Pascal Pouligny must be a WWII history buff. "Colonel, remember, don't tell the men what they don't need to know."
Translation to CDEX: "Malc, don't be sucked into giving precise answers to awkward questions. All you need to do is rely on me to lead the international marketing charge and things will work out just fine. I've got all the contacts you never could have gotten on your own. All you have to do is make the damned things work according to the claims on the box. You can do that, cantcha? If so, I'll take care of the rest of it.
"Oh and btw, about your payments to me for services rendered ..."
sorry, mike ... I'm still working on that axis tilt thingee. Widely was absolutely no help.
The silence from Tucson is deafening.
Maybe the sh'holder mtg attendees were told to wait til the weekend before communicating with bb readers. Maybe so much was discussed and it was such good news that a leak before trading closes for the week would be counterproductive. For instance, maybe Cardinal has made an offer for the company and that shouldn't be leaked til it's accepted by MP and presented to sh'holders for a vote.
On the other hand, maybe the mtg was cancelled at the last minute so there's nothing to report.
Or maybe the mtg was brief, attendees weren't allowed to ask any questions, were read a brief statement by the CEO (that all is well) and told to go home.
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'll be looking forward to whatever first-hand reports come out of the sh'holders mtg.
capnmike ...
"The courageousness and professionalism of the University of Michigan team cannot be understated in my opinion. Clearly, they understand the importance of CDEX technology applications, and exhibit extraordinary professional bravery in publishing this stunning study."
IYO, why do they "exhibit extraordinary professional bravery in publishing this stunning study"?
And what is stunning about it?
This?

Federman & Sherwood Announces That a Securities Class Action Lawsuit Was Filed Against Tag-It Pacific, Inc.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 16, 2005, the class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California against Tag-It Pacific, Inc. (Amex: TAG). The complaint alleges violations of federal securities laws, Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5, including allegations of issuing a series of material misrepresentations to the market which had the effect of artificially inflating the market price. The class period is from November 14, 2003 through August 12, 2005.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So is it possible/reasonable to infer that Mr. DeLuca has had some experience with class action suits?
Still seems to be a GE link! Unless I'm not looking at the right place in it?
I'm missing something, diddy ...
the links you gave went to a GE bunch of stuff ...
and whose good acting job?
btw, where did Pouligny come from, any idea? I mean what company pre=CDEX? I doubt his background is in zippers!
2 kits?
Maybe only 1, and if Hammersmith & CC pharmacies are in different locations (I don't know) they'll share it.
I'll be the picture of decorum, crow ...
I promised Dan no more funny names referring to other posters.
Who was it who said, "Jus' da facks, ma'am"? That's what I'll deal in (as I always have) with no nasty asides.
Oh, I almost forgot: here's the conclusion of the much touted Mott study:
Conclusion: A tabletop EPS device demonstrated acceptable sensitivity and specificity for validating the identity and concentrations of selected high-risk i.v. medications compounded for pediatric patients. The device may help prevent clinically important medication errors caused by inaccurate compounding.
The [ValiMed] device demonstrated acceptable sensitivity ...
The device may help prevent ...
Hardly worthy of a standing ovation.
Back after my two-week enforced hiatus. And plus ca change, I see.
First there was a Jan 23 PR announcing a "partnership cooperation" with the Imperial College Healthcare Trust, specifically with Hammersmith and Charing Cross hospitals in GB.
Then an April 7 PR announcing a "business partnership relationship" with Virtus for the mid east.
Then yesterday April 9 the one announcing a "business partnership agreement" with Grifols for Spain, Portugal and Italy.
CDEX has been busy.
But I don't see any mention of sales in any of the PRs, just "partnerships".
What does it all mean?
For starters, my guess is CDEX couldn't get any of their brand new hospital "partners" to actually buy a Valimed unit after the TX Children's/BAXA abortion. Remember the PR about that (August 2006)?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We feel privileged to add Texas Children’s Hospital to our growing list of internationally recognized healthcare organizations that are using [sic] ValiMed." said Jim Griffin, President and CEO of CDEX Inc. “Texas Children’s recognizes the value of ValiMed and has purchased multiple ValiMed units for use across their hospital pharmacy compounding, medication dispensing, and return verification processes.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And as it turned out, TX Children's wasn't "using" Valimed at all except for the purpose of testing the product.
As the Dir of Pharmacy at TX Children's said, "The company ... wasn't ready to provide us the product we had understood they would be providing. ... I have been reviewing other technology improvements that could add value to the systems currently in place."
So the PR was entirely misleading since TX Children's didn't "recognize the value of Valimed" at all, and not only that, they were misled about what they would get for their purchase, the purpose of which purchase was to test the Valimed "system" to see if it met any needs that weren't being met with other safety devices they were already using.
The answer was no, it did not.
But Malc has made sure that wasn't the end of the story.
He hired Pascal Pouligny!
Pouligny clearly must have great contacts and has now "delivered" to various hospitals the Valimed wizard for trialing/testing and, gosh, even big time distributors are on board. All with "partnership agreements", "partnership relationships" and "partnership cooperations" in place (but of course no terms given). All announced just before and as the sh'holder mtg took place.
Let's put a finer point on it: Have the new "partner" hospitals actually BOUGHT the Valimed system?
No.
After BAXA and the TX debacle, has the CDEX MO been to give them away?
Apparently.
Fact: Hammersmith & Charing Cross hospitals did not purchase the one unit they received. It was given to them free.
First would come testing protocols and then actual testing. These things take time, obviously, and I think it's safe to say H&CC will not compromise their reputation, will be thorough, as they see what Valimed actually does and explore possibilities of what it is supposed to do.
Kinda like TX Children's.
So, as tmucc and crow have opined/figured out, is Monsieur Pouligny simply offloading the wherehouse supply they're stuck with, and at the same time pursuing distributors with a vengeance? Bringing out old PRs and citing places like Hammersmith and Charing Cross as enthusiastic "owners" and "users" and perhaps even "supporters" of the system?
Will we ever be told by CDEX what the outcome of H&CC's testing actually demonstrated? Fat chance. We weren't advised of TX Children's evaluation, after all.
And in the midst of all this terrific activity and PR flurry, the pps languishes and MP files a Form 4.
http://sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1173738/000121465908000798/xslF345X02/f4880f4_ex.xml
Y-O-Y would Malc do that? Anyone able to think of a reason?
you noticed, too, tmucc?
You and the other shills are really cranked up about something with regards to CDEX.
The game's afoot.
Oh I sleep very well at night, capnwow. Far better than you, I imagine.
Whatever makes you think I work?
bye bye, wmft. See ya' round the quad.
"Nothing to say to me?"
Then why did you keep your post going?
If you'd really had nothing to say to me, you wouldn't have even replied at all ... that's your style when you're caught falling to earth and your parachute hasn't opened.
Tell me just one little thing, wmft ... what company do you work for and what do you do for them? I imagine I already know, but maybe you'll confirm.
Why don't you answer the questions about cdex I've asked you not once but twice, whiteman?
That way you'll at least be on topic.
Imagine that, your posts have disappeared, whitmanfromdowntown.
edit ... well, only the last one. Want to keep this up?
crow ... I think I was right. He really is dumb.
Honestly, wmft aka moonie, you chose the wrong person's post to include as "evidence'! Poor saigon was, as you can guess, a casualty of 'Nam, one of the walking wounded. Everyone who was anyone knew that.
I note you never did identify RIP, so I assume you still have no idea who he was. Here's a hint: he thought he could get away with it, thought he could bring that company down by his posts. Sadly, for him, he lost his gamble and was made BK.
Any more posts you'd like to produce?
