Good thoughts again on pursuing the Asian markets. I know as a business guy that doing business in the US has gotten very difficult and getting worse, with out-of-control regulation and taxation. To be successful you need to look at all options and keep banging on doors to see which one opens.
In the relatively short run (not years in process), the Asian markets may turn out to be the most viable - it would be interesting to hear from the company regarding this.
To put the FDA and "fast track" together seems like a bit of an oxymoron – does that bureaucracy do anything in a speedy way?
But, I like your speculation about pursuing an Asian distribution licensee – now, I think that could truly be done on a fast track timetable.
Let me tell you, you don't want to get caught between a fat-assed government bureaucracy and a bunch of game-playing “lawyers” - it's heads they win and tails you lose.
I don't see this CEO, Missling as a game-playing type. He knows that he has the goods, he has the products that are going to realistically/dramatically change how AD and other brain debilitating diseases are addressed. I don't think he wants or believes that he has to stoop to their disgusting level – much, much more is at stake here!
Lets hope he doesn't have to get into a pissing match with these fools.
Yes, now these government fat-cats are living the good life - all fat, dumb and happy. But, as we have just seen with Justice Scalia that can change in a snap – reality has a way of coming down like a ton of bricks. But, hey, these “powerful” people are really quite invincible aren't they – so no need to rush things. Right?
Thank you Mr Minotaur for that vote of confidence. All of this horse-crap that I see going on all around us poor, well-intentioned investors in this poor, struggling bio-tech is enough to drive one batty.
Our capitalist venture here is indeed very fragile. Too many game-playing punks take way too much for granted and take way too many liberties with the freedoms that they enjoy, as if they still live in mommy and daddy's secure little basement. Unfortunately, there are way too many of these little fools who have the power to control you and me in a very adverse way.
It is truly a jungle out there, so we need to pick our steps wisely.
What has this so-called SEC investigation really accomplished – nothing, but giving rise to more lies about the company and it's potential products – empowering these muck-racking, ambulance-chasing “lawyers” to dredge-up more “clients” - and, enabling more of these short sellers to do their dirty work.
As with most government operations, they do more harm than good. As with all government, their true function is to build their own power, control and wealth – they are not much more than parasites on you and me.
Also, what is the big, fat FDA done for us lately – ZERO!
Thanks for bringing this board back to some cold hard facts that offer this company and it's investors some potential huge rewards for staying the course - its important to keep your eye on the ball.
I read a lot of negativity here the past couple of months and its understandable with all the nasty game playing with this stock – even these muck-racking, ambulance-chasing “lawyers” have gotten in on the nasty game.
The world is in turmoil and this country is in a border-line recession and that's reflected in the overall market. I relieve this is a result of the lack of leadership in this country the past 7 years and the criminal, feckless nature of the punk in the WH is destroying everything that this country is built upon – we need to do a 180, big time!
I'm still holding strong here and hope that 2016 realizes the positives that George continues to point out for this company.
Yes, but what would you expect form a bunch of detrimental, big-government drones with an exceedingly lucrative salary and lavish pension plan – they don't really care. Also, don't they work for the criminal in the WH, so good luck with getting “justice”.
Well, we'll just have to see if anything substantive happens with this SEC investigation. Highly doubtful that anything will – just another over-puffed government agency trying to justify their huge salaries and lucrative retirement plan. Also, isn't the SEC an agency with commissioners appointed by the incompetent/corrupt/criminal regime in the WH? So … good luck with that!
Right-on Jimmy, it's all about free market economics – we are invested in a more and more valuable commodity as the science is proving with each day and with a short supply of shares at these price levels, guess what this big demand is going to do PPS – BOOM UP SHE GOES!
You all wonder why there is so much game playing, manipulation and probably a fair degree of fraud going on with this stock (and many others), including the irresponsible hit pieces from Cramer's slimy crew. Well just look at their messiah – the impetuous punk who has usurped the W.H. and who has risen the art of telling falsehoods and outright lying to a new level. This excrement rolls down hill from the top.
Sounds rather cynical, but I think there's an element of truth here. The CEO's primary allegiance is to his company and its product's success. The life blood of any business is stable funding and I think the CEO will do what is necessary to get that financial stability – if it means placing stock shares into large well funded stable hands at the expense of the little-guy with much more modest means, well so be it. Hence the R/S and up-listing to the NASDAQ to attract large institutions.
As much as we hear and hope for the possibilities of Anavex's products to do wonderful things for humanity, this is still a business and sometimes things get a little messy (as we've seen with small stock holders getting hurt) when driving toward the eventual goal. This is sad for a number of holders and former holders who got shaken out and took a big hit – the realities of business can be cruel at times.
And, its been terrible watching what has been happening to this stock in the past week and the lies spewed by these twisted fools in their hit pieces should be answered for in a big way.
However, the good news for the little guys who are left here is that the R/S cut the share count by 75%, making each share more valuable (supply down), and as more positive data and future catalysts are announced (demand up) I think this thing takes off again like the juggernaut that it was shaping up to be.
Yep, the herd mentality sets in with this cascading down-fall of pps – and, as has been mentioned here before, the big-money-boys have the coin and WILL get their shares as cheaply as possible, at the expense of the little-guys - tough deal short term – staying long/strong through this.
Thanks for this view - we get caught up in the day to day minutiae, but its really invaluable to stop and look at the long range perspective of what we have here and where Missling and company are headed. As you point out, the potential market for this company's products is absolutely mind boggling – 11/7 is another huge step in realizing this.
Amazing – and we were all promised “affordable” health care – what the hell happened.
After what we've seen from Dr Missling the past few months, I think it would be foolish to second guess him, he seems to have a firm hand on the Good-Ship-Anavex and is guiding it toward spectacular success. I think this deal will be no more than a small speed bump, but we're also holding all the good cards here.
OK, my misunderstanding, sorry if I ruffled your feathers.
George, thanks for always bringing us back to the important realities related to this company's business venture – the things that really matter here. The board gets quite cluttered by posts from a number of game-playing numb-nuts on an increasingly regular basis it seems.
Some very good analysis of this Ward piece and exposing it for what it is; a lot of noise – bottom line here, steady as she goes.
Yes, from my experience, the K-I-S-S system is the best way to operate. Lets just hope that these complex “genius'” of the FDA understand our company's simple elegance and let this thing move forward quickly.
Yah man, impressive as hell – Missling, the maestro, is orchestrating a great future here!
The 800lb gorilla in the room is the FDA with its despotic power over life and death of these struggling bio-techs, with studies that take years and millions of dollars to complete, whether necessary or not. As with all government activity, their market interference serves to dramatically drive up costs, which in this case drives up the price of life saving drugs. Lets hope that the FDA plays fair with AVXL.
I must say that there is some really excellent and well thought-out stuff going on with this forum/board. I see a number of truly honest posters here, not too much BS. We're all here to make money, no doubt, but we're also long and strong with this company that is dedicated to relieving some of the scourges of humanity, which I think is a noble thing.
Remember that capitalism is not a bad thing – it is the driver of innovation that brings new drugs (amongst a myriad of other things) to market that make this world a better place.
I know, the feds write the rules, so therefore, it will never work as well as it could or should. But, at least it's there for the little guy to take advantage just a little bit.
Yes, I know there are yearly limits depending on your income, but it doesn't hurt to start now and let your investment grow tax free - that's where a little prior planning works wonders.
Smart man - I hope you get there - I think we all could use a nice windfall.
I think you're correct for short-term (within 1 year), but with a little prior planning and using a Roth makes things soo much easier – and, more profitable.
Another important consideration is having your investment in a Roth-IRA which will shield your hard-earned profits from the ever-present circling vultures of the federal government – these blood-sucking leeches are always there to profit from your success.
You'll get your ten – I'm not on the gov'mnt dole, so I've seen reality!
So true, the market can be your enemy or your friend – I intend to stand pat, definitely not sell and probably average up a little - let the market work for me as a friend.
Ha, I know – this stock is rather happily addicting, want more, more, more – if the actual drug itself has a similar positive effect on Alzheimer's patients (and all indications so far say that it does) it will be a mega-winner for all involved!
Bingo, from where we sit now, I wouldn't get too antsy to sell,
So take a deep breath, kick back, relax, stay alert and enjoy the ride for a spell.
With all the positive demand factors we're talking about (up-list, partnerships, conference data, etc.) and with the 75% diminished share supply, who can accurately predict where this is going in the next 1 to 2 months and beyond, but we're sensing that up up up is definitely in the cards - it all looks pretty good right now!
Yep, with this r/s every share seems more precious and harder to come by – the supply is smaller, so people want to cling onto their shares more tightly – and, with an increasing demand because of this potentially invaluable product, it only means one thing, huge $$$$$$. The invisible hand is at work here!
Right On!
Yes Blake, I hope you're right. I must admit that I was a bit concerned about the R/S (been burned in the past), but if done right, by someone who knows what they're doing it can be a useful tool. He seems to be lining up all his ducks very nicely!
The maestro, Dr Missling, seems to be directing this symphony to perfection. The longs are hitting on all notes, going higher and higher – and well, the shorts are just plain SOL – what I see is masterful so far!
This is the result of what one flaky ditz and a gaggle of game-playing punks can temporarily do to a stock.
My My - who are we to believe here – Missling's science or a braggart's gaming acumen. Place your bets right here folks!
Ok genius, let's hear some words of wisdom from you. Sorry, I forgot that YOU are the reason we're all invested here - you sound like just another gamer trying to scam the system for your sole benefit.
