So why are they buying their shares back now?
Thanks for the info.
What is the relationship between KRPF and AZFL? TIA.
What do you mean by that?
Thanks Time. Appreciate the help!
I'm in too. GLTA.
and more...
I hope so. Moving too slow here.
Good point.
And how do you know this?
How so?
Note on health benefits of URBF produce. http://media.wix.com/ugd/35ff10_f9d8f26856b94b978ff54953ac9a47ab.pdf
Montreal, Quebec, Canada - January 28, 2015 - Urban Barns Foods Inc. (OTCQB: URBF)(“Urban
Barns”), an innovative food producer dedicated to growing consistent, healthy and fresh vegetables
year round using its proprietary Cubic FarmingTM method, is pleased to provides its shareholders
with an update on its research and development (R&D) activities at McGill University.
The Biomass Production Laboratory at McGill University, with support from Urban Barns, is paving the way for research in urban agriculture. Recent innovations with Light Emitting Diodes (LED) as a plant energy source, has brought about this new area of research. LED lighting systems have the capability to control wavelengths emitted. This allows for research on the impact of different spec- tral wavelength combinations on plant growth and development. Compared to conventional light- ing techniques when growing tomatoes, an arrangement of red and blue lights has proven to in- crease growth, improve morphology, and suppress plant pathogens.
In February of 2014, Dr. Lefsrud with support from an industry partner, Urban Barns, was awarded a NSERC research grant to develop improved LED lighting systems for their indoor Cubic FarmingTM facility. The Cubic FarmingTM model consists of rotating troughs on which various species are grown, using controlled temperature, humidity, irrigation, and lighting. Results show significantly faster growth than with conventional lighting systems.
“Once implemented at a large scale, this project has the potential to provide high yields of nutri- tious, sustainable, fresh and locally grown food year-round, regardless of regional climate.” Dr. Lefsrud stated.
Research at Macdonald Campus Bioresource Engineering Department has published numerous LED scientific papers, putting the department at the forefront of this quickly evolving industry. This re- search has observed the concentration of ß-carotene and other phytochemicals in the growth cycle of plants, and how plant production of these antioxidants may be increased using LEDs. Specifically, the research has been focused on the impact of red, blue and amber LEDs to increase production and nutritional values. Dr Lefsrud states that “We have been very surprised by the increase in an- thocyanin levels in lettuce with small changes in the ratio of red, blue and amber LEDs”. However as Dr Lefsrud explains “not all plants exhibit the same response to these LED wavelengths and re- search is continuing in the laboratory”.
Benefiting from the Biomass Production Laboratory expertise, the Urban Barns facility in Mirabel, Quebec opened in June 2014 and has begun selling pesticide and GMO-free lettuce to clients in Quebec and Ontario. A Cubic FarmingTM research unit has been assembled on the McGill MacDonald campus to aid in measuring photosynthetic efficiency of horticultural plants and further developing LED technology.
Like I said before. This is an investment. We will see green through organic growth over time. I'm willing to be patient with this one. All others who also know what they own are strong longs as well.
True. Real technology with growing revenues. Only a matter of time.
Agreed
Has anyone tried calling this mysterious CEO that, according to whom one asks, is either a stellar CEO or a crook? Is management of this even accessible?
Can those of you sitting on bids at .0022 (200K and 250K shares) move it up to .0024?? I just bought a milly at .0024. Seriously guys. It's $40 and $50 extra... It won't hurt your wallet. Let's knock them asks out.
Agreed.
No problem fellow URBFer! Wishing us much success here. :)
Bought another milly! Go $$URBF$$ :)
She's not wasting time. She's trying to drive the pps lower to get cheap shares. Let's all make sure to call her and others out every time they make unfounded claims. I've seen how a collection of such sketchy folks can degrade a board.
We're all trying to make money. I just don't agree with their methods. Completely sold their souls to greed.
Everyone knows you're not credible. Please take your shady self somewhere else. You should be ashamed.
Can someone explain to me please why this even matters? This was in 2009 - that's before the company had it's revolutionary cubic farm tech proven nor did they have much of any client base. Two greedy aholes trying to use a promising company to allure people into buying shares is not URBF's problem. This is a common disease (i.e. pump and dump schemes by anyone and their uncles) that companies in OTC land fall victim to. Some companies never recover from it, especially those that cannot prove themselves to be a legitimate company with real revenue-generating products/services. URBF has REAL (and incredibly disruptive) technology with real client base that's growing as we speak, not to mention it being backed by deep deep wallets in the form of Dundee and other whales. Also, don't forget that McGill University (the "Harvard" of Canada) signed up to do 5 years worth of research for the company. Do you guys know how picky academic institutions are (especially high profile schools like McGill) about associating with any other entity whether academic or commercial? For these schools, reputation is EVERYTHING. That should make people realize URBF is legit and is recognized as a serious force to be reckoned with for future of agri-technology. This is world-changing, not just life-changing for investors.
Know what you own. $$URBF$$
And you know this how?
Good. More chance to load up.
True. Will do what I can on my end. Congrats on adding more today. I would if I had more powder.
Good point. Something seems to be brewing.
Patience is the name of the game here. This is an investment - not a quick trade.
Agreed.
Or major revenue streams, paying off remaining CD's, share buyback, no R/S and major increase in pps followed by uplisting. Sorry but I don't subscribe to your limited interpretation of what is possible.
Long here as well!
That's a really good point. Thanks for putting things into context. I'm new to BRWC but excited for its prospects.
I really like your points 3 and 4, especially 4: undervalued at .0075. If I'm not mistaken, UAE whales are tiptop investors. I can't see them investing in something that won't end up with pps in the dollars down the road. Any thoughts?
Thanks! GLTY too!
Oh no worries. Didn't think you were bashing. I was just trying to explain and share my thoughts on the R/S question, which I don't believe to be anything EGYH would consider. It just doesn't make sense given their real potential to skyrocket in pps, planned acquisitions of already-revenue-generating oil well entities, current SS / float, etc.
With a couple of deals locked in (all in the 10's to 100's of millions of dollars in revenue), this will hit dollar land in a hurry IMO. No need for a R/S to eventually uplist.
This will be a game changer for anyone owning shares here IMO.
Great clarification. Which means, upon acquisition, there is immediate revenue streaming in.
As soon as they acquire one or more of those wells, we should be getting a PR. That and/or PR about progress in one of the energy development programs and this should skyrocket. $EGYH$
