Actually it said
"On Aug 27, 2015, the USPTO allowed the last of 10 major Digifonica patents". I would estimate there will be a couple more issued and allowed in the near future however.
You are absolutely correct, Malak and VPLM said 10 NOA's, it's actually better that that, It is eight patented cases and two NOA's, but they both still equal 10!

No worries, it really does not matter in the grand scheme of things. I too enjoy your posts also. GLTY
I guess my definition and yours will have to differ, I believe there are preceding events to call it such. Oh well, no biggie IMO
Not too sure I would call it a doji this week, the last week in August however through the first week in September was close but it never feel enough IMO.
I honestly do not know how to value this, there are far too many variables that have to be considered and even recent examples of deals have no viable business model to compare. Sourcefire was bout for what, 2.7 billion and had 5 million dollars of annual revenue. Whatsapp was picked up for a mere 19 billion and it has never turned a profit, it actually continues to bleed money even though it is approaching 1 billion users. if we value this based upon potential rather than fundamentals, well I guess the only thing I can say is, well maybe I can just show you.
Hey, what do I know, those are the words of communications experts but what do they know anyways!
[img]VoIP is revolutionary in and of itself since its technology has been applied widely throughout the legacy telephony world. In prior years TDM (Time-division multiplexed) lines interconnected voice systems over the planet. Even though telephony experts can make a convincing argument that TDM networking is much more suited to the constraints and peculiarities of voice and video networks, the reality is that applications and equipment to support IP communications have flooded the planet. And in spite of their apparent shortcomings are being deployed widely in connecting phone systems to one another.
When someone makes a phone call they are connecting to a local voice network in order to speak with somebody else. If that local network was not connected to a larger network you would only be able to make a call to other customers in that local network. So that local network must connect to other local phone networks if you wish to speak to anyone outside of that immediate vicinity. In the past the lines
connecting one local phone network to another local phone network were TDM lines of one kind or another. When you have a number of those lines you can rightfully call it a network.
More and more often the lines connecting one local phone network to another local phone network are IP communication lines, and frequently enough that network is simply the Internet.
Let’s start though with VoIP. If you are a Vonage™ customer and you call another Vonage customer you could complete a call only using an IP network. However, if you call a cell phone or land line your call will have to connect with a network using a different type of communications network and you can be certain that your call with their customer will be classified and measured.
Hence:
? Most phone handsets support voice connections via a network technology other than VoIP, e.g.; PSTN, GSM, CDMA, etc.
? The corollary of this is that most local phone networks are delivering voice communications on everything but VoIP
? Telephone networks are increasingly interconnecting voice calls using IP networks, or Voice Over IP (Internet Protocol)
? Virtually all telephony providers are billing and are therefore metering calls that cross between VoIP and other realms of communication
? Because these activities require call classification, metering, and billing virtually all voice operators are using the RBR technology
? A pure VoIP operator that meters and bills is using the RBR technology[/img]
[img]Messaging – SMS, MMS & Twitter
In the early 1980s a technology for sending short messages was described and proposed by some European engineers as part of the GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) specification. GSM has since become the predominant mobile voice communications protocol.
On the surface, the management components of a GSM network mimic those of a PSTN network. The innovation in this messaging protocol was that it was embedded in the control signaling, rather than the voice signaling, of the GSM network.
Control commands are relatively short in duration compared to the length of phone calls. The control pathways in a phone system are busy in short bursts for setting-up and tearing-down calls but otherwise are unoccupied. The control protocol for European phone system is called SS7 (Signalling System #7). The message protocol SMS (Short Message Service) was designed to operate within the short bursts typically used only for control signaling and complied perfectly with SS7 – its host protocol. And since a message doesn’t need to actually connect one caller to another immediately so that they could speak in real time, it was a perfect use of that excess capacity built-in to most phone systems. Messages can be held in queue until the control network has the time to transmit them.
Eventually text messaging caught on to the point that today nearly 80% of mobile subscribers have access to SMS services.
SMS services, as you have just learned, are a component of most mobile phone networks. Those mobile networks meter and bill text messages and very often transmit those text messages to one another via VoIP networks utilizing the RBR technology.
MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) is an extension of SMS where the SMS messaging system is used to transmit the internet locations of pictures, video, and other multimedia content. But it relies on SMS which relies on GSM/VoIP interoperability, which relies upon the RBR technology.
Twitter is a service that enables millions of people to stay in-touch with niche communities of like interests. Twitter messages (tweets) are transmitted via SMS, which utilizes RBR technology.
As you can see the application of the RBR technology is so widespread and so many of the things that all of us in our 21st century world depend upon every day. RBR is a key technology to the interconnection of our planet’s peoples.[/img]

Yes, 5 parents listed, #6 is RBR 2nd child but is a patented case and 7 & 8 both indicate a continuation of but only at NOA stage. Again however that list is still not complete as to what is going on to date.
I could not find that list on their web page as I indicated, it appears it is probably being edited and some form of change is occuring but if you are seeing it, please provide the link again, TIA
VPLM's website never said it had eight patents, what it did say was that they had six granted and two with NOA but you did have to read the content to understand that. BTW, that particular page now only indicates the five parent patents.
VPLM patent page
My list indicates the five parents and then subsequently lists all the relevant child patents and applications below each parent. I provided the relevant parent app/pub number so each person could complete their own DD without confusing any with additional numbers.
If you wish to provide another list with any further numbers, please do. I personally feel it could pose a confusing situation for some.
Mine lists 15, 6 patented, 3 with NOA and 6 pending at various stages.
VPLM's website is not updated and has never included anything that had not seen some form of examiner prosecution.
It's there also, they all are!
It is 100% complete including all the continuation patents with all status current as Friday.

It was granted 13 months ago. So I guess the update is that it is already a patented case. It is on the list.
Technology Centre, short story, it is the USPTO version of quality control...

Yes, I order them by filing date. RBR 4th has not even seen a glimmer of prosecution. He was correct that 3rd child had been dispatched to FDC but then VPLM filed notice to withdraw from issue and filed another RCE.

Unfortunately that is not the case, it would appear there is going to be a decision made shortly (within the next 1-4 weeks IMO) given the recent activity. The transmittal letter you reference was submitted by VPLM/John Carson and accompanies the IDS filings that occured on the same date. What it basically is saying is we are submitting these items for review, the submission was made after prosecution began but before a final decision occured therefore we believe all is good, if the submissions occured after say an NOA occured, they would have to withdraw the application from issue and then submit an RCE to have further examination ccompleted.
Hope that helps!
SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT – LEGAL PROCEEDINGS – VOIP-PAL.COM INC. AS OF JUNE 30, 2015
Pursuant to FASB ASC 450, Voip-Pal.com, Inc. includes the following Disclosure of Litigation:
CASE NO.: A-15-717491-C, was filed in Clark County, Nevada District Court by LOCKSMITH FINANCIAL CORPORATION, INC., a British Columbia entity, against VOIP-PAL.COM, INC., a Nevada corporation, THOMAS E. SAWYER, an individual; EMIL MALAK, an individual; COLIN TUCKER, an individual; EDWIN CANDY, an individual and DENNIS CHANG, an individual. The case alleges that Voip-Pal and its directors wrongfully froze shares that Locksmith had obtained from Voip-Pal “pending the outcome of an investigation by appropriate regulatory bodies….” Locksmith’s complaint was dismissed for failure to state a cause of action by the court on July 7, 2015, and Locksmith was allowed two days to file a new complaint. Locksmith filed a new complaint on July 9, 2015. A hearing to determine whether the new complaint states a cause of action has been scheduled for July 29, 2015. The assessment of Voip-Pal legal counsel, Ryan L. Thomas, is that the likelihood of any liability for Voip-Pal is remote and the amount of such liability, if any, is too uncertain to ascertain at this point in time.
Voip-Pal.com, Inc. filed a case in U.S. federal court for the District of Nevada on July 2, 2015, against LOCKSMITH FINANCIAL CORPORATION, INC., a British Columbia entity; TK INVESTMENT, a British Columbia entity; RICHARD G. KIPPING, an individual, TERRY KWAN, an individual. The complaints include; “Upon information and belief, between May 2012 to January 2014, Defendants, through a series of deceptive debt conversions, stock issuances, and noncash accounting transactions, systematically conspired, schemed, and defrauded Voip-Pal and the shareholders of Voip-Pal of millions of shares of Voip-Pal stock.” The assessment of Voip-Pal legal counsel, Ryan L. Thomas, is that the likelihood of recovery of at least some portion of the stock at issue and some amount of damages is probable. The amount of such recovery is too uncertain to ascertain at this point in time.
Voip-Pal.com, Inc. filed a case in Clark County Nevada court on July 3, 2015, against JOHN YACOUB, an individual. The complaint alleges that Mr. Yacoub “fraudulently and unlawfully acquired and absconded with a confidential contact list of Voip-Pal’s shareholders and directors” and that Mr. Yacoub “wrongfully used and continues to use the confidential information to communicate a constant stream of abusive defamatory emails regarding Voip-Pal, Malak, and Sawyer to the shareholders and directors of Voip-Pal.” The assessment of Voip-Pal legal counsel, Ryan L. Thomas, is that the likelihood of recovery of at least some amount of damages is probable. The amount of such recovery is too uncertain to ascertain at this point in time.
You are wrong on both assumptions...
