Amarin stock is doing very well! Have a nice day Marz, you to JL.
I'm a Snow-Flake, wait I'm a Snow-Bird! I'll be coming from New Jersey (15 miles from Amarin) by way of Delray Beach, FL (my Home Away) to Sunny (Rainy?) SF so that I may join in the festivities. (Might be alone.)
Raf, Herper for the first time I've noticed is defending Vascepa! I think he may have become a convert!
KevGee59, I was also a contributing member of the original EPADI. I would personally be pleased with any successful plans to gather the amazingly diverse group of board participants for a celebration of Amarin success. Wherever such an event is scheduled, I will be in attendance!
Whal, you should buy some out-of-the-money Calls for Dec 2018 or Jan 2019 unless you want to go out further. Here's an example:
Buy Dec $15 Call for about $2.25. If stock pops to $22 after Nov AHA, you make $4.75 (210%).
Here's another way to play:
Buy Dec $15 at $2.35, Sell Dec 22 at $.90, Net Cost $1.45. At $22 or higher, you make $5.55 (380%).
One more way:
Buy Dec $13 at $3.10, Sell Nov.2 $15 Call at $1.20, Net Cost $1.90.
-- If price remains stable until Nov 10 AHA Meeting, Nov $15 Call expires
worthless and you still hold Dec $13 Call (with no upward limit). If
stock then goes to $22, you make $9.00 (475%).
-- If price runs up over $15 before Nov. 2 and holds there, you still
gross $2.00 (difference between strike prices).
Commissions do need to be considered as well.
chas, good advice. sds12 - I would heed if you are able to!
sds12, roll out to future expiration date Calls, See Post #144851. You sell the future to buy the one you currently own and improve the share price (strike) you eventually receive. There may also be some extra premium generated from sale of the future Call.
valuearb, you could roll the Jan 2019 5.5 Calls over to Jan 2020 7.0 Calls for just about an even swap. This will eventually get you $7.00/sh instead of $5.50/sh. You could pick up an extra $1.00 if you went to the Jan 2021 7.0 Calls instead. If you have adequate margin, you could also sell naked or covered Puts at $7.00 or $8.00, the risk being that you might have to purchase the stock at these strikes if the stock falls. These are just my thoughts, I offer no opinion. Good luck!
How much in capital funds does Amarin have currently on hand?
Wise and responsible decision RAF. Paying for your child's education is no longer in question. Plenty left to ride on!
BTW, sometimes you've been a pain in the a$$. Congratulations.

Retiredceo, whatever you think of Pyr's investing thesis, you can't fault him for his trading technique. If you want to make money it could serve you well to mimic his actions.
There was also V plus Atorvastatin metabolites. I can't search for it right now but I'll look tomorrow.
Pyrr, just got in and read your response...thanks for the idea. Will look more closely tomorrow, need some rest, driving for Lyft over last year. What the F..., it's a living.
Good luck to you too.......ahh rocker
Don't recall for sure but Sunnyvale is a little North of SFO? I won't mind taking a little detour!
We may have to spend more time in the Bar. Last time I visited Northern CA (SF and Napa), my wife took a side trip to visit Aunt in Laguna Beach. I left her at SFO and drove to Monterey to eat Dungeness on the Bay and visit the Aquarium. Prior time in town they were just starting to build it.
Stayed the night, enjoyed breakfast in a bar on the main drag and headed back north to pick up the "little lady". Great F'in Trip!!. I Shall Return.
Re: Pebble Beach....Never played there but I've done the 17-Mile Drive and it is astonishing!
The earliest Calls to buy would be Nov 16s, I believe the meeting is Nov 10th in Chicago. I'm betting that good results on SEs and TEs will push price immediately.
Kiwi, my advice was meant to keep you calm to give you time to consider but Repero had excellent advice. If you sell 25-30% of your Dec 5 Calls after the dust settles, you can add when the new options come out today or tomorrow. The Calls will be in the issued around the new stock price, 9s, 10s, 11s and 12s for example. They will be priced accordingly. If you believe the price is sustainable, then you can leverage up to the Nov 16 or later Calls and multiply your holdings in this new series.
If you get $10 for your Dec Call 5s, you could maybe buy Nov 16, 2018 Call 15s for $2 and expand your holdings 5 to 1 through the November AHA Conference. More after we see how things develop this week......
Kiwi, sit tight on those options, they will trade $ for $ with the stock. If AMRN moves to $15.00, your options will be worth $10.00. It's only 9/24/2018....you have 3 months to decide how you want to proceed. Just remember, $ for $ with the stock!
Hey Pyrr, I'd really be interested in how you plan to play it from here. My belief was too strong and my timing was too early so I've lost a lot. I had almost nothing left invested in AMRN after all these years. I've used a lot of option trades but I'm a little blind this morning about how to move now to capture some benefit going forward. I've been here since Marine Trial and I can't believe I missed this boat. My brain isn't functioning well enough to plan a strategy at the moment but the options I have left will generate a little capital.
This is a worthy "Top 10 List", you go gozips!
Mrm, just curious why you wouldn't want results AH today?
But you can't buy Puts on TMDI for Insurance.
EPA/AA Ratio of 1.23 to reduce CVD mortality is a tough target. I've been taking 4gm Vascepa daily since approved and my ration stays around 1.27 (just squeaking by). Guess we'll hear more on all this soon as Medical Community gears up for new treatment modality - V.
What???
Just one Tasty, have you gone off your meds? (lol).....
Thanks Sam, but you gotta go to bed and get some rest boy! What are you doing up at this hour?
You care to read the message board? This was already addressed by JL yesterday or Tuesday. I'm not even gonna bother checking which.
Thanks North, appreciate that.
Anyone have an Email address for John Thero?
BB, that is the volume I see on Etrade.
Not really, unfortunately. No way to get there by cheap public transportation. I'm thinking more like downtown Newark, maybe Lincoln Park. That way we can walk to the Ironbound section for some reasonably priced Portuguese style Garlic Shrimp with Sangria for an appetizer!
Results to be announced this coming week (week of Labor Day) will be highlighted by a 27% RRR in Vascepa treated arm of Reduce-It.
Alright....Amen to that...
I think it's probably already been noted that Krumholz is speaking of EPA effects on primary prevention. He may be correct about that. Reduce-It (Vascepa) is a secondary intervention study. Much more will need to be studied before V is used as a primary treatment for CVD.
What did he do, bust into an Amazon warehouse and fence all the electronics? Or perhaps he's the latest winner of the Megamillions Lottery!!!!!!
Tell me about it, Rose. I should have gone to Florida, bought a big house and never ever looked at this board again, LOL.
That is a very sad bit of news, I didn't agree with a good many of his positions but I had the greatest respect for him as an American Hero! God Bless You Senator McCain and RIP.
