Thanks N7; "In Italy, AIFA has issued a decision to not reimburse VAZKEPA at this time." We don't know why Italy decided not to reimburse. But we also know the door is not fully closed.
IMHO I think it was an economic decision.
Italian GDP:
https://economy-finance.ec.europa.eu/economic-surveillance-eu-economies/italy/economic-forecast-italy_en#:~:text=After%20decelerating%20sharply%20in%20the,growth%20rates%20until%20end%2D2024.
Netherlands GDP:
https://economy-finance.ec.europa.eu/economic-surveillance-eu-economies/netherlands/economic-forecast-netherlands_en. Netherlands has a little better GDP outlook for 2023 than Italy and beyond.
EU Countries were still recovering from the effects of war in Ukraine (Energy sanctions). Perhaps the Netherlands knows that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
Still Amarin was able to score some significant countries; UK, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark (partial), Israel. Only a matter of time and urgency.

N7, Okay thanks. Looks like we wait...
N7, I missed your post on your thoughts on BRAVE for efficacy of Vascepa on prevention of Alzheimers.
Do you think that since DHA apparently didn't work for Alzheimers, then why would EPA work?
Both DHA and EPA are both considered anti-inflammatory.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8961629/#:~:text=In%20fact%2C%20both%20EPA%20and,resolvins%20with%20anti%2Dinflammatory%20properties.
Playing Devils advocate; Why would EPA work better than DHA (which was considered ineffective?).
Our cerebral fluid is; ultrafiltrate of plasma. Plasma contains
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK519007/
Does our Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) contain Omega 3 Fatty acids?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9641984/#:~:text=Ingestion%20of%20omega%2D3%20fatty,tolerated%2C%20and%20risk%2Dfree. "Ingestion of omega-3 fatty acids increases learning, memory, cognitive well-being, and blood flow in the brain. Omega-3 treatments are advantageous, well-tolerated, and risk-free."
Hence; What is the role of Omega 3 Fatty Acids in our CSF?
And the $64k question; By providing a Purified form of EPA into our body's what does that do for our cognitive well-being? How much is actually absorbed into our Cerebral Spinal Fluid?
I'm getting out of my Payscale.
So, as a general board comment; let's focus on the science, not on the board room politics. Let's not pick the fly crap out of someone else's eye when there's actually a telephone pole stuck in ours. As my old preacher used to say.
Oy vey, once all the Delicatessen shops of the world hear about Israel getting on board with Amarin. Then Vascepa should fly off the shelves….
You want a Pastrami sandwich to go along with your Vascepa?
Of course that’s what JZ said too.
Hmmm, so we have the inept Karim Mikhail and POW to thank for securing distribution of Vascepa in Israel? Or could it be that present Amarin Management did most of the ground work?
I did, but he keeps coming back like a cockroach. He doesn’t know when to keep his trap shut.
Yeah, well if Rooney Toon is even invested in Amarin (which is doubtful) and taking Vascepa. He wouldn’t post the endless “negative” diatribe. Every little spec of fly crap and it’s off to the races.
Yeah, just like when a loved one passes, I always remember the good things.
Like to blabber all day about nothing? Did you enjoy your oatmeal this morning at the rest home?
Go patronize some other message board.
Seriously Dude get a life and take the loud mouth Rooney TOON with you.
Here's what the Newswires said;
Earnings Flash (AMRN) AMARIN CORPORATION Reports Q2 Adjusted EPS $0.02, vs. Street Est for Adjusted Loss of $-0.03 Per Share
07:14 AM EDT, 08/02/2023 (MT Newswires) --
AMRN is positive earnings, so shove that up your periscope.
So your grievance list needs to be revised.
I’m still waiting for the $1 stock price as predicted by Tooti-Fruiti….
So glad I put you on ignore. Now I don’t have to read your patronizing posts.
Keep a keen eye on Amarin Management won’t you?
Wow, leave it to ol “ROON the Toon.” Mr negativity hard at work. No surprise here.
People would be surprised at what folks can afford in these countries? Just like China, there’s probably more millionaires in these countries than you could imagine.
Middle class to Upper class will be able to afford Vazkepa.
I feel the deal making at Amarin has improved immensely since Denner has assumed control. First it was UAE and Arab countries, now it’s Korea and Southeast Asia. You never heard about these partnerships under the old regime.
Eddingpharm was under JT and that was prior to Reduce-It results. HLS was also under JTs watch?
I’m liking this new management.
Tomorrow we’ll see if the share price hits a $1 as the “cartoon kid” predicted for stock options. What you say Tat-su-maki?
Really? Be nice. Did you forget your happy pill today?
Alex Denner would pull the rug out from under the BOD, Chairman, Holt, Aaron Berg...the whole shooting match up in smoke?
Solly Challie; This isn't Sunkist and my name isn't Charlie the Tuna. Not buying that angle at all. Total conjecture on your part.
Did he do that with Medco? Does Denner have a track history of doing that? Class?
jasbg; How old is this link? At least the University took the words "Fish Oil" out of it's summary. UW (University) used to have Fish oil plastered in it's opening statement. Looks like they changed. However, all the other publications listed in the article says fish oil, fish oil, fish oil, olive oil? No wait that's Popeye's girlfriend.
Spain will always remind me of Pablo Picasso and his famous work of art "Guernica." Those were different times WWII.
https://www.artisera.com/blogs/expressions/10-facts-about-picassos-famous-painting-guernica-that-you-need-to-know
Touché seve; great comeback!!!
Don’t the Basques speak a Spranko (Spain & France), dialect?
Reminds me of an old western. The wagon train had a number of Basques in the wagon train. Of course the Indian tribe was going to attack the wagon train. So, the Basques saved the day. The Indians attacked the wagons in a narrow canyon with boulders on either side. Thinking they (Indians) had the advantage. They weren’t prepared for what surprise the Basques had in store. In the end the Basques saved the wagon train and they moved into Napa Valley to grow their grapes. You’ll have to watch the movie. It’s been ages ago.
Amarin up 8% premarket. Somebody knows something? Maybe it’s the “Most interesting man in the World?”
I think I’ll have a Dos Equis and a joint, get the day started right…!!
Dos Equis is pretty good. I made a batch for my daughters wedding, it was the first keg to go....
It's all about the yeast. Burp!!
I must admit; you are starting to tone it down a little....just a little. You can do better...!!!
Nah, I'm not gonna block you. I am going to heckle you however whenever I feel the need arises.
Stockboy; People like Kiwi and others just don't get it. It's like any name brand. People will always buy the name brand because they believe in Quality and Reliability.
Would I buy Ryobi when I can afford Milwaukee?
Would I buy Hankook when I afford Michelins?
and most importantly; Would I buy Billy Beer when I can afford Dos Equis?
Vascepa will always have a US presence. Captain has already proven that with his graphs. Vascepa is stabilized in the US. What will make it capture market share is for a Big Pharma to promote the heck out of it. It's called "Marketing." Expose the Generics for what they are.
Did you just look that up? And here I thought you were some TA "anal" yst....like Flysatemysandwich?
Rose; Amarin stock price was $3 before the Reduce-It PR came out. It hit in the $20s before all the shenaningans with Herper, Fartstain and Nissen started. It was in the 17's prior to ADCOM II. After ADCOM II is went over $20.
You mean you didn't consult with Kiwi or the Gen Z crowd before you published this?
Nice job Capt.
Rose; You need to define "Significant." Did Medicines Company show "Significant" sales of it's PCSK9 drug when Novartis bought it for $24 a share?
All the spin is just conjecture. In the right hands Vascepa is a valuable commodity.
Yeah right punk. You're a so called TA expert? My cat could pick better entry and exit points.
Don't forget to stroke ol what's his name? The legend before his time?
Do you need a hug?
I can only speak for myself. I've been beat down enough on this investment.
I really don't need any more help from a charlatan coming on this thread and touting they know it all?
You have your supporters I guess? Those small minded folks who dwell on negativity.
I just want this company to be polished up, made lean and mean and be sold to the highest bidder.
Leave your so called technical BS to those who give a rats.
I can't wait to see the reaction on August 1st. So far your track record hasn't been very accurate.
A lot of innuendos and I told ya so's......
So, you're saying the stock price will be below a $1 on August 1st? If you're right I'll be the first to congratulate you. But, if you're wrong will you stop posting?
Hmmm...? Probably not with an ego like yours?
You mean like this?
So, it's not the Old Rooster and the Young Rooster routine? Would be nice if you chose a side.
Mr Miyagi says: "Danielson, if you stand in middle of road you get squashed like grape."
So, you obviously don't see the positives in the PR either. You seem to thrive on negativity. As you side with this jerk and Pdude as well?
and so why would I need to provide anything technical to combat your idiotness?
So, let me ask the question again so you don't try and go around the May Pole again.
What the frick does the 5M shares vesting have to do with creating shareholder value?
It's not a controlling number of shares, or is it your way of putting a negative spin on an otherwise positive PR?
Because the negative nellies of the world (like yourself) need to be kept in line.
You must either be short or work for a major brokerage house.
Some peoples glasses are half empty, some are half full. I take it yours is half empty.
You seem to enjoy picking fly shit out of a corn cob. You and JR both.
So friggin' what the 5M shares vest on the sale of the company? What does that have to do with todays positive PR about maintaining shareholder value?
Get a life.
Good one CANAM; Had to look him up....Pulp Fiction, the ultimate "Problem Solver."
Really? Stay on topic.
Really? A maker and seller of stents and balloons (Cardis) $1B in sales and the market potential for Vascaepa is valued equal to or less than Cardis?
In the right hands Vascepa would become much more valuable. Just look at the statin market. Just imagine people could actually go off statins if they wanted to.
Apples to Apples; if Amarin were sold for $1.9B that would be approximately $4.75 pps. Ridiculous.
Amarin is worth double that at least.
Apologies; Here's the Real Patrick Holt;
https://www.linkedin.com/in/patrick-holt-0102151/
I can only speak for myself, but if this man can get Amarin to a place where it can be sold then I'm 100% behind him. Life it too short for hanging unto an investment that has been both a joy and a tragedy at the same time.
You flipped like a burger on a grill. Before you were touting the benefits of Vascepa to a lot of folks. Seems you don't like the direction Amarin is taking or has taken. Especially when it comes to Alex Denner. Seems you have a real attitude towards someone who sees value and is trying to sell the company. Alex Denner has been the only person who has given a lot of investors some light at the end of the tunnel.
You'll also have to admit that prior management wasn't doing it's job. And I ask you; where would we have been if Alex Denner wouldn't have won the Proxy fight? Be honest.....!!!
I Googled Patrick Holt and here's what I got; If you can't laugh about it then I don't know?
