Thanks BBB for your posts! I do believe you, and am sticking with my guns on seeing this stock pull through! There are a lot of nasty people out there who like to kick us why we are down... What a shame IMO. GL
Fact: Coal generates nearly 50% of the electricity consumed in the United States.
And despite the recent push to adopt clean energy sources, coal is likely going to remain king for the foreseeable future.
But the way in which we conventionally use coal is drastically changing.
You see, the fuel itself is being treated to burn cleaner.
Going forward, all new coal-fired power plants are going to be required to use clean coal technologies. And all existing plants are going to have to be retrofitted.
That will make the cleaning-up of the coal business a multi-billion dollar industry.
You bet steve. Its crazy what people will do to bring a negative sentiment to this stock. I really hope these people get burned in a bad way! I was just venting last night, and now feel much better. I am a little depressed due to all the rain I have been seeing, keeping me off the golf course lol.
Good morning everyone! I see we are a little green as of now... Hope to see some positive momentum today.
Yeah I guess in the grand scheme of things 321k shares sold is not all that much. I am just perplexed why we aint moving up at this point.

Good Read! CCTC is very much needed.
Could someone clarify why he would get in trouble selling shares after the PPS went up and if that is a legit scenario? I understand selling right after a PR, but if you knew that big news was coming why sell now?
Would the SEC really crack down on him for selling shortly after some major news hit? I hope you are correct EE! I just am not familiar with all the rules and regulations of an insider buying or selling shares... Its just kind of an odd time to be doing it IMO! Thanks.
we shall find out soon enough IMO. If the lawsuit is bogus we should hear about it in some form! In response to the latest selling of shares, I am a little disheartened by the whole thing when news is expected here shortly... Not sure what Dougs motives are, but lets hope the money is being used to help the company in some way! No one likes to see the selling of shares period, but I am still holding even though the picture has become a little darker for me! I really hope we hear something soon because people will begin take their buisness else where. Come on Doug give us the goods...
Lets see today if we can get out of the single digits eh? News is fast approaching! GLTA
3 million in volume... Something is up IMO. What a crazy day here!
Who and why would anyone be selling at this point in the game? This stock is starting to stress me out! I am still long, but damn...
Pretty frustrating right now seeing red! Come on Doug lets go...
Great post Edurk! Very well explained... Good to see the selling pressure subside! Keep posting!
Good to see ya again Edurk! What to do your technicals say?
Nice find! Clean coal tech is growing in the here in the U.S. and abroad! CCTC has the goods at the right time, and can greatly benefit by the increased awareness, and need for CCT.

Clean Coal Technology Means More American Jobs
ACCCE President & CEO Testifies at Kickoff Event for Congressional Coal Caucus
ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At a kick-off event for the Congressional Coal Caucus today, American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity President & CEO Steve Miller testified about the economic benefits provided by coal and clean coal technology. Miller cited several recent ACCCE-sponsored studies that demonstrate the economic advantages of clean coal technology and the importance of affordable electricity.
“By working together, the American coal-fueled electricity industry and its public sector partners can meet the environmental challenges we face, while continuing to provide reliable, low-cost electricity.”
.“Domestically produced coal is the most abundant and affordable means to help satisfy America’s increasing demand for electricity,” said Miller. “By working together, the American coal-fueled electricity industry and its public sector partners can meet the environmental challenges we face, while continuing to provide reliable, low-cost electricity.”
Clean coal technologies would benefit the American economy, according to a recent study by BBC Research and Consulting. The study, released jointly by ACCCE and a coalition of labor groups, estimated the employment and economic benefits from deploying advanced coal-based power plants with carbon capture and storage. The study found that 150,000 permanent jobs would be created by the operating and maintenance of 65,000 megawatts of advanced coal-fueled facilities. Construction of the facilities would create 4.5 million job-years (one job for a one-year period) of employment.
“Coal provides almost half of the electricity we use to run our factories, heat our homes, and grow our economy,” said Miller. “Electricity’s role in providing an enhanced quality of life, including a cleaner environment for all Americans, has never been more apparent or more critical.”
Miller cited a recent study by Eugene M. Trisko that found energy costs are eating up a disproportionately large share of American family budgets. That study found that approximately half of all U.S. households will spend, on average, 20 percent of their after-tax income on energy.

U.S.-China Joint Statement on Energy Security Cooperation
Office of the Spokesman
Washington, DC
May 25, 2010
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The United States and China, as the world's largest producers and consumers of energy, share common interests and responsibilities to ensure energy security and face common challenges. The United States and China pledge to uphold the principles of mutually beneficial cooperation, diversified development, and coordination to ensure energy security; recognize that energy security and clean energy go hand-in-hand; and agree to strengthen cooperation in the areas of stabilizing international energy markets, ensuring diversified energy supply, and a rational and efficient use of energy.
Stabilizing the International Energy Market
The United States and China share a common understanding on maintaining the stability of world energy markets. International energy markets play an important role in meeting energy demand and stabilizing energy supply. Although international energy prices have fluctuated greatly over the past several years, using market mechanisms to meet future energy needs is still the primary and best choice for our two countries.
The United States and China reaffirm the common understanding reached by the Five Party Energy Ministers to establish open, transparent, highly efficient and competitive energy markets, including transparent and effective legal and regulatory frameworks. The two sides have decided to increase transparency of energy markets, work to avoid excessive oil price volatility, continue close cooperation with the IEA and other international organizations, and ensure the safety and stability of international energy markets. The two countries expect to open communication on establishing an energy emergency early-warning system, strengthen supervision of energy markets, and cooperate to prevent manipulation of oil futures markets.
The United States and China reaffirm our G-20 commitment to increase market transparency and market stability by publishing complete, accurate, and timely data on oil production, consumption, refining and stock levels, as appropriate, on a regular basis, ideally monthly.
The United States and China reaffirm our G-20 commitment to rationalize and phase out over the medium term inefficient fossil fuel subsidies that encourage wasteful consumption; and stimulate investment in clean energy, renewables, and energy efficiency and provide financial and technical support for such projects in developing countries.
The United States and China recognize our common interests in improving energy market transparency and market stability, enhancing mutual understanding of national and global energy issues and strengthening bilateral collaboration, seek to establish a working group to make formal arrangements for cooperation between the U.S. Energy Information Administration and China’s National Energy Administration, including information sharing and technical assistance, the collection of energy production data (conventional and unconventional) and end-use consumption data through surveys, short- or medium-term forecasting methods, and strategies for the dissemination and analysis of energy information.
Ensuring Diversified Energy Supply
The United States and China, fully understanding the importance of global energy production, especially the significance of clean energy development, intend to work to ensure safe and stable energy supplies by upholding the principles of relying on domestic energy supplies, encouraging diversified development and strengthening cooperation. The two countries intend to discuss mechanisms that will allow quick communication and coordination in the event of a major energy supply emergency; maintain the stability of energy producing countries; ensure the safety of international energy transportation; and encourage enterprises from both countries to jointly develop oil and gas resources in third countries in order to increase oil and gas supply.
The United States and China have both committed to increasing investment in the energy sector. The United States and China are committed to developing their domestic energy supplies through open markets and broad based competition. Both countries welcome foreign investment to explore and develop these resources.
The United States and China have realized the importance of full development and utilization of domestic unconventional energy resources. As outlined in “The Memorandum of Cooperation on Shale Gas between the U.S. Department of State and China’s National Energy Administration,” the two sides formulated and signed the “U.S.-China Shale Gas Resource Task Force Work Plan between the U.S. Department of State and China’s National Energy Administration.” In order to promote China’s development of shale gas resources, the two sides intend to utilize U.S. experience in developing unconventional gas to cooperate in shale gas resource assessment, technologies of exploration and development and related policies, in accordance with China’s related laws and regulations. Both countries take this opportunity to note engagement in the area of shale gas between the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Trade and Development Agency and China’s National Development and Reform Commission. The two countries announced the 5th U.S.-China Energy Policy Dialogue and the 10th U.S.-China Oil and Gas Industry Forum will be held in September in the United States. The agenda for the Oil and Gas Industry Forum will focus on shale gas development and include a field study visit to U.S. shale gas producing fields.
The United States and China fully understand the importance of clean energy technology in achieving diversified energy supply and ensuring energy security. The two sides reaffirm the common understanding reached in the “Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Cooperation on Climate Change, Energy and Environment,” “The Memorandum of Understanding on the U.S.-China Renewable Energy Partnership,” “The Protocol on the U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center,” and “The Memorandum of Further Cooperation on Nuclear Safety for the Westinghouse AP1000 Nuclear Reactor.” The two sides, based on the principle of “joint research, risk sharing, and enjoying achievements together,” will continue to conduct deep and pragmatic cooperation in joint investment, research and development, production, and promotion in the areas of clean coal, safety and operation of nuclear power (advanced nuclear energy), renewable energy, smart grid, shale gas, advanced bio fuels, and electric vehicles. The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission and China’s National Nuclear Safety Administration, after properly addressing the intellectual property rights protection issue and following the U.S.-China nuclear technology transfer practice, are willing to make concerted efforts to promote technical cooperation on the safety of High Temperature Gas Cooled nuclear reactors.
The United States and China share the view that diversifying the fuel mix in our vehicle fleets is fundamental to both countries' energy security in the decades ahead. Toward that end, the United States and China are committed to the promotion of electric vehicles, advanced vehicle energy saving technologies, and advanced alternative fuel technologies. The two sides reaffirm the importance of their cooperation on the U.S.-China Electric Vehicles Initiative.

Clean Coal Technology & The Clean Coal Power Initiative May 24, 2010
"Clean coal technology" describes a new generation of energy processes that sharply reduce air emissions and other pollutants from coal-burning power plants.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the U.S. Department of Energy conducted a joint program with industry and State agencies to demonstrate the best of these new technologies at scales large enough for companies to make commercial decisions. More than 20 of the technologies tested in the original program achieved commercial success.
The early program, however, was focused on the environmental challenges of the time - primarily concerns over the impact of acid rain on forests and watersheds. In the 21st century, additional environmental concerns have emerged - the potential health impacts of trace emissions of mercury, the effects of microscopic particles on people with respiratory problems, and the potential global climate-altering impact of greenhouse gases.
With coal likely to remain one of the nation's lowest-cost electric power sources for the foreseeable future, the United States has pledged a new commitment to even more advanced clean coal technologies.
Building on the successes of the original program, the new clean coal initiative encompasses a broad spectrum of research and large-scale projects that target today's most pressing environmental challenges.
The Clean Coal Power Initiative is providing government co-financing for new coal technologies that can help utilities cut sulfur, nitrogen and mercury pollutants from power plants. Also, some of the early projects are showing ways to reduce greenhouse emissions by boosting the efficiency by which coal plants convert coal to electricity or other energy forms.
In January of 2003, eight projects were selected under the first round CCPI solicitation, of which two were withdrawn. Of the remaining six projects supported by the first round of the CCPI, two projects are currently in the operational phase, one was discontinued before award, two were discontinued during project development, and one has been completed.
In October of 2004, four projects were selected from the second round CCPI solicitation. One project has since been withdrawn. Of the remaining three projects, one is in the operational phase, and the other two are under development. The two projects under development will demonstrate advanced IGCC technology, while the project in operation is demonstrating a neural-network control process for advanced multi-pollutant controls by means of plant optimization.
A third round CCPI solicitation is underway and is focused on developing projects that utilize carbon sequestration technologies and/or beneficial reuse of carbon dioxide. The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for CCPI Round 3 was released on August 11, 2008. The FOA requested proposals be returned to DOE by January 20, 2009. In July 2009, two projects were selected. One project was awarded and one is in negotiation.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) added an additional $800 million to funding for Round 3. On June 9, 2009 the Department of Energy issued an amendment to the FOA for Round 3 of the CCPI. The purpose of the amendment was to re-open the FOA and provide a second Application Due Date (closing date) of August 24, 2009. The amendment also incorporated special provisions of the Recovery Act.
I am pretty strapped myself Steve, Would love to load up here! Bummer...
Our time will come here with CCTC. Right now its a waiting game like many of you know! Some want results NOW and have no patience... Doug is going to turn this compnay into a clean coal powerhouse in due time! The only questions some might have to ask themselves is:
1. Do you sell now because you cant wait for the goods?
2. Wait for the PR that indicates CCTC is the real deal and sell?
3. Wait for the PR and keep holding for bigger gains when the U.S comes on board, and the OTCBB upgrade happens etc. etc. etc....
My choice is #3 and I am totally cool with my decision. So whats your move, and be COMFORTABLE with it? GLTA
I totally agree! Its going to surprise us IMO. See you all tomorrow morning...
