Fact: Coal generates nearly 50% of the electricity consumed in the United States.

And despite the recent push to adopt clean energy sources, coal is likely going to remain king for the foreseeable future.

But the way in which we conventionally use coal is drastically changing.

You see, the fuel itself is being treated to burn cleaner.

Going forward, all new coal-fired power plants are going to be required to use clean coal technologies. And all existing plants are going to have to be retrofitted.

That will make the cleaning-up of the coal business a multi-billion dollar industry.
