Ot Since Rockitt and myself have been made co-captains and seem to have gained the reputations as beer drinkers , I feel it is time to have a peace "pow wow" and to invite Teecee to join bulldzr in helping to hold up the bar!! I recommend this as it appears that we are now all getting along, are on the same page and Tecee is not opposed to strong drink;therefore we can all get together and really work for a better Idcc and a more civil board.
I know that Rtd is keeping up with Ms R's games and perhaps he is at the games today. Between Rtd and Bulldz, we will know what happened in today's games. Good luck Rachel. tucker
Bulldozer, Ot I have watched Ms Rachel play. She knows the game and she has the skills. A homerun to win the game is fantastic!!!! Give her my congratulations and good luck in the next game. tucker
rtd, OT when you and cls have pancakes at I-Hop give me a call. If I had known that you were going to watch Rachel play , I would have tagged along. I saw her play once! 3 hits ,2 stolen base runners thrown out and she does have a outstanding personality. Maybe she should consider University of Alabama!tucker
Bulldzr, do not pay any attention to the "Poison Pill" per share. There are so many "Kings Xs" involved that it is virtually meaningless and the company can be sold , taken over, etc., as long as it is friendly and management and the board agrees. They would not be held to the Poison Pill price!tucker
Jimmy, OT , You are certainly welcome to meet with our group at Bonnie's. Since you have had such good luck with your investment , I would imagine that the group would let you buy a round of drinks!!!
We would like to see all of the posters visit us at Bonnie's and it is hoped that the Houston 100 club will soon meet! Thank you for your kind words and the best of luck "in your investing". Tucker
Bulldzr, ot I am going to become very tired holding your coat, but I have some relief. Rtd has volunteered to help!! Your Friend and Supporter!tucker
Jim, I agree that Campagna helped to fill the barn, but does he have to now run off with all the Hay!!? I give the man a lot of credit;however,he has been more than amply rewarded for his risk taken with Idcc as he continues to run his textile and dry cleaning interests. I have been an investor in this stock since General Hilsman. We have had the key to the vault, in my opinion, many times, but have not been unable to unlock it. Maybe it will be unlocked at this time.tucker
Teecee, I really do not understand your post where you say "you might actually learn something" as I certainly do not beleive that one should disrupt a meeting just to state his position. From what I have read it might have done the person some good to be "carried out on a strecter".tucker
GreedAintBad, thanks for the reply and your "Take" on the person raising a "ruckus" and how Harry handled himself. Sometimes these "little men" can handle themselves quite well and place 2 or 3 guick hits before someone can blink. Hicks might even be a golden gloves champion. We have Rockitt in our Houston Cabal that we can send to the next meeting. He knows all of the "nelson holds"tucker
Ghs1949, thanks for the information as to the individual that security almost threw out. Sounds like he was more of a hinderance than a help in getting things changed! I did not recognize the name. Just curious! tucker
Rockitt, OT glad to see that you have come out of hiding and have raised your head. Were you at the meeting and were you the person that security almost threw out? We have control of the situation at Bonnies'!! tucker
Postyle', do you or, possibly, m6 know if the person who was almost thrown out by security is a member or poster on this board? tucker
Ken, I will be watching to see if Corp-buyer or yourself is right. All he said was a few words about F4's. I hope that a bunch do not hit the deck shortly after the ASM closes , but after good news in the past, something that appears to be stupid kills the rally! That seems to be what has taken place several times in the past. Tucker Only my opinion and observations
Joel, I believe that Reagan's statement: "Trust but verify" applies to Idcc management. Tucker
Chartex, why oh why would you not think that Harry would be selling now! It appears to me that management will be selling because it did not receive the yes vote and it wants to teach the shareholders who really is boss and that the shareholders are only a necessary evil to be tolerated. My opinion only! tucker
jmspaesq, I agree that Data Rox is a good guy and that he has no hidden agenda. I have met the man at Bonnies' and I have followed his posts. He comes across to me as a "savvy investor",knows what he is talking about and has done his due diligence as to the wireless industry. In my opinion , he is someone to listen to and his posts are most factual.tucker
Ken, I think inserting the word "greed" certainly was taking a shot at management;however, in my mind, I would rather have not seen the word in an announcement even though here in Houston ,because of Enron and several other Houston companies the use of the
"G" word has earned a place in every day language.tucker
jmspaisq, I am aware of the control number and voting is not now a worry for me.
As for calling the company at this time , I have not done so. In fact, the last time I talked to Tilden , it was over options and the conversation was less than satisfactory. I have a long time ago learned to not listen to propaganda as it is a total waste of time! tucker
mschere', no, it would not be Idcc's fault if my broker is at fault, but when my wife owns Idcc, I have a personal account and a Ira account and the company sends me an "IMPORTANT REMINDER" letter as to only one account when we have received no proxy materials on any of our accounts then I think that it is sloppy work whan I do not receive the necessary materials to vote for all three accounts. I do not want to start an argument over some damn election as it would never end. Lets just hope that the stock price continues to rise and we all can
make a few bucks . tucker
Witchhollow, I might be wrong when I said other institutions would follow Heartland's lead. However, when Heartland used the word"greed" it was bound to cause some of the other intitutions holding Idcc stock that had not yet voted to think over the situation carefully. As for Heartland being a "Bellwether",I have no information that would make me think such of it! tucker
Ams13sag, I do not believe that there is a chance that the "yes" vote will be successful because I expect that the institutions will follow Heartland's lead and also vote no;,therefore ,I expect the option "no" vote to win by a big margin.
I did receive an "IMPORTANT REMINDER" from the company to vote and it wanted a yes vote. The fact that I received the letter , in my opinion , tells me that the company feels its position is not carrying and it is pushing for votes.
I am less than pleased as it has been difficult just to get to vote. I have yet to get my Annual Reports or proxy material for 3 accounts and it has been difficult to understand just why materials and reports have not been sent to me. Perhaps it is my broker's fault, but it appears to be a poor way to run a company whoseever fault it is! tucker
ams13sag, a dime is too much to put in the fumd . Put me in for 2cents! I do not need a receipt as I will not need it for tax purposes.tucker
Ams13sag, I believe that the company has handled this "options thing" in such a way as to reflect management's ability in running the company.I agree with you "time to dump the insiders and to put the company up for sale"! tucker
tc, nobody is ganging up. I do not need initials to describe you. I know the difference between a mouse and a man.tucker
teecee, no guilt complex. Just "call out" people who overload the verbiage!!tucker
teecee, always using the needle. Someday you will find someone who uses an icepick!!! tucker
bulldzr, I have said my piece. Idcc sent me or posted no real reasons why it really wants the options. I voted no and I am awaiting the result. So I do not know the why of the statements on the board about being quiet today. It has been said and now we are waiting to hear the results. Simple as that!!tucker
Revlis, It appears that I should have applied the "Cuttlefish"analogy to IDcc's option plans rather than to yourself. Now, just maybe, I can excape by creating my own ink cloud and disappear! tucker
revlis, you confuse the issue by putting out a lot of ink.It reminds me of the cuttle fish that squirts out a cloud of ink and then excapes through its own cloud.tucker
revlis, I just read the part of the letter that was left out in your earlier post that you received from the company. I received the same letter. No mention of 5 million and my question is : Why not use the options already available?tucker
Chartex, you forgot to mention that Halliburton has moved its
Headquarters to Houston and to be sure to thank GWB for the new jobs. I/3 of the Houston work force will soon be in Iraq using Idcc technology when they use their cell phones!
revlis, thanks for the editing. I have no doubt that everybody knows what I was writing about. Since it was not meant to be a legal brief, I do not feel that my words needed any "polishing"
tucker
Jim, if it was a personal number of Colson's ,then I agree with you. If it was a business number associated with Idcc, then I agree with Mickey! tucker
Loop, "we probably earned some royalty this morning" and about a "pending patent." Just what are you talking about? Does it mean money in my pocket? Will I have enough to buy Matt a drink or two at Bonnie's? Today I receive my proxy for one account and have sent it in. I noticed as to #2 that the options themselves were not mentioned. It would have been nice if in bold letters that management stated it wanted 5 million more! I just love big numbers and I hate to see them not mentioned. tucker
Mickey, Mr Colson was just following the company line. It is not smart to give the shareholders any information that might give them some guidance. Now someone on this board will post that if you do not like management ==sell.tucker
tc , I am not going to the ASM but if I did I would follow your suggestion and wear the sign . If Tilden did the kicking,
he might find himself on his A-ss. Tucker
Jim, thanks for the information. I guess if one has 3 accounts then he must have 3 control numbers. It might not be Idcc's fault that people are not timely receiving proxy material, but if it is, we can take Witchhollow's advice to Loop which was if you do not like management - sue the the company or sell your stock. ///////Both thoughts ,in my opinion represent less than mature thinking!tucker
chartex, thanks for the voting information, particularly obtaining the control number from my broker. tucker
corp_buyer, thanks for the link. If I do not receive my proxy material today ,I will vote on the internet! tucker
Jim, I called my Broker today and asked him to check why I have not received my proxy information and voting material. He did not know. As you know , my broker is in Austin Texas and I live in Houston. I feel a need to vote even though I do not think that it will change the situation as it now stands , but I do want management to know that to get options it has to produce and give the shareholders more information and guidance!!tucker
