So, any bets that Dr. Gupta mentions Anavex? Probably, a longer shot than the wagering on the least favorite horse in today's Preakness.
tschussmann1, here a release from CNN on May 13:

CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta Reports “The Last Alzheimer’s Patient” For The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper
EPISODE PREMIERES SUNDAY, MAY 19 AT 8PM ET/PT
NEW YORK, NY – (May 13, 2024) – The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, a CNN Original, returns with a groundbreaking look at the latest medical research showing that symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease can be prevented, slowed, and potentially even reversed. “The Last Alzheimer’s Patient” with CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta premieres Sunday, May 19 at 8pm ET/PT on CNN.
In a report spanning five years, Dr. Gupta follows Alzheimer’s patients through their courses of treatment and explains why so many experts are calling it the “most hopeful” era for dementia patients and their loved ones. A practicing neurosurgeon, Dr. Gupta also evaluates the pros and cons of the latest tests designed to measure an individual’s risk for the disease and even undergoes the battery of tests himself, weighing his own risk for the world’s most common neurodegenerative disorder.
“Preventing problems down the road is health care, instead of sick care,” said Dr. Gupta. “Today, getting off the road to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias is so much simpler than we previously thought. The decisions we make every day – to eat healthy, to move more, to learn new skills, and to spend time with loved ones – sounds easy, but the evidence is clear. It can, and it will, lead to better brain health.”
Today, nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. In “The Last Alzheimer’s Patient,” Dr. Gupta also details what viewers can do in their everyday lives that could help drive down their own risk for developing the devastating disease.
The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper is executive produced by Susan Chun.
The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper will stream live for pay TV subscribers via CNN.com, CNN connected TV and mobile apps on Sunday, May 19. “The Last Alzheimer’s Patient” will also be available on demand beginning Monday, May 20 to pay TV subscribers via CNN.com, CNN connected TV and mobile apps, and Cable Operator Platforms. Past episodes of The Whole Story are available to stream on demand now on Max.
The Whole Story is also available as a CNN Audio showcast. Visit CNN.com/audio or listen wherever you get your podcasts.

Thank you, Robot. Sounds as if you know your stuff. Look forward to more of your insight.
Peace,
powerwalker
george, rather than giving me clown sh*t emojis, why don't you answer my question?
sage, I saw that, too. I thought USPO does not publish a patent application until the patent were issued.
If that were correct, very quick issuance though there are prior patents that support the current application.
george, is it an actual patent now or still pending?
Thanks, X, for the info.
All the best to you, X, and may improvement come your way.
Great Derby though my horse ended up #2.
mrp, agree with your suggestion.
FYI - Blarcamesine 😉
Peace,
powerwalker
Thanks, george. I like that the article highlighted the 25.97% short position of AVXL in the opening paragraph.
Article that supports mrp's assertion that Anavex needs to put "the pedal to the metal" before the AI invasion.

george, let him know Anavex short are equal to ~26% of the tradeable stock vs. 25% for GME.
P.S. I believe it was reported that the mabs' brain volume loss was greater than those AD patients without treatment and/or those on the placebos.
Here is what was reported by each company:
-12.93/-4.9 = 2.64
Sorry, Ziggy, I was a little too high in my rounding.
Yes, that is true, but if the lawyers state, "Don't release," almost all CEO''s will not release. Too much personal liability if s/he were wrong.
mrp, the lawyers are the decision makers on when information/data needs to be released to shareholders. As of today, they have not made that decision to release.
Ziggy, here is what we know, but not everyone accepts these facts:
1) The officers and directors know the data, i.e., they can't buy shares during this "quiet period" (length unknown);
2) The EMA has seen a glimpse of the data and asked Anavex to file;
3) Rett results were 3x better than approved competitors' results and will be discussed with agencies, including fda; and,
4) New information on brain volume loss that shows Anavex's blarcamesine is less damaging, if at all, than the mabs' impact and this information might be added to filings in progress.
I believe Tred, Pazzo and ignatius have replied to directly and/or indirectly to some of the bashers over the weekend. The true situation at Anavex can't not be heard amongst all the cacophony around it.
We will know in time ... length unknown.
plex, talk to george for b rain volume details if you aren't aware of them ... which, if you follow this Board, I don't know why you don't!.
Calm down, mrp ... all CAPS ... your BP might explode given your 50+ years of experience.
Have you filed for a drug approval ... and do you know what is involved? If so, please offer yourself as a Toutian replacement plus Director and show Anavex and TGD the way. I vote for you to get $800K annually with one million options at the year's lowest SP with 20 years to exercise! 😉
Please cite the person(s) blaming the fda. Most pro-Anavex don't trust the fda, given its past mabs' approvals on flimsy evidence and rejection of its adu* adcomm.
P.S. pogue, I don't believe you own any Anavex stock (9 years, BUNK!), other than as a negative ownership in a short position.
For those unsure of my opinion of pogue, here it is:
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=174400096
plex, below is a response I sent to a friend who asked "Why is the price so low?":
So, plex, place yourself in Dr. Missling's shoes ... if you were 80-90% completed in your application and this information on brain volume came to your attention as mabs' brain volume disaster is revealed, wouldn't you include these details in your application, which might take some additional time to ensure all the brain volume data is accurate and solid.
One reason the pro-Anavex/TGD posters are not concerned about some undescribed delay as it is strengthening its argument for approval.
Happy Mothers' Day to all!
If poguemahone were not a FUDster, s/he sure acts like one.
Chose who you want to believe: the guy who knows the Anavex data or the one who denigrates him ... and DOES NOT KNOW THE DATA!!!
plex, did you ever hear of Enron?
You and your ilk (pogue, mrp, the 43 FUDsters et al) are "way off base" about TGD.
SMH at the back and forth of you and some of the others, who express bi-polar feelings and thoughts about TGD and Anavex.
mrp, I did not listen to the cc.
Thank you for your remarks and explanation.
Obviously, Roy and you are on the same page. I'm sure you believe $15 is too high if no EMA filing occurs in the next 12 months.
I think it does get filed by the end of September with peer review published as well. Delay with the peer review might be adding details on brain volume data.
If these occur as I cite, SP will be, at least, $50 and probably more if EMA likes what it sees.
Peace, mrp, and enjoy your weekend,
powerwalker
mrp, did he state why $15? Is that for what time period? End of June, July, August, September, 2024, 2025?
One would think that if it goes up ~300% that there were positive news and if so, that news moves it up more than ~300%.
george, 2014 is an agnostic if I remember correctly. He doesn't take off for Christmas, so why would he for the Ascension? 😉
Chris, as to disclosure, if partnerships are based on approval, do they need to be revealed before approval decision is received?
That you have been fired by your handlers, Ziggy.
plex, fda and EMA filings will occur at same time so Anavex doesn’t p/o fda. I’m thinking before Labor Day or thereabouts based on observations of other viewpoints on EMA filing.
Before that though, partnership with Consortium members or other BP will happen after ASM on June 18 but before Labor Day. IMO
Annual Meeting set for June 18.

What is with the new image include in PR? I don't like it.
P.S. The material matter causing the proxy delay might be the ambulance-chasers' lawsuit(s) against Anavex and how it needs to word that disclosure in the proxy and Q2 statement/filing.
JJ, we have not seen the proxy, which was issued on April 4th last year, seven weeks before the ASM. The proxy must be issued no less than 21 days before that meeting. Most companies give themselves, especially small ones, over a month before ASM, so it can gather enough votes to pass its slate of directors and other items being voted on by the shareholders. Thus, for Anavex to meet the May 23rd deadline you espouse is not late, the proxy would need to be filed by tomorrow with only a three-week allowance for shareholder voting, which would be contrary to pass Anavex ASM's and the respective voting.
What is in the works, I don't know if there were anything or not. We might see Q2 numbers next week if there were no material event(s) being considered ... and maybe, an explanation on the proxy/ASM for this year.
No, Joe, those are cicadas!
old*, there have been many posters on this MB that have advocated the same thing for years in different terms before this guy showed up with his "AI" generated type postings.
mrp, your analysis, please?
So, go avxl, by your review marks, this isn't the Anavex MB?
I thought this was the ANAVEX board!
