Super-bulls set sights on Dow 40,000
A growing group of forecasters see a monster-sized rally just ahead.
<<Louis Navellier, the fund manager and newsletter publisher, is typical of the mega-bulls, advising private clients over the past weekend that their “best buying opportunity in six months” was last Friday. “If you have any cash, invest it right now,” he wrote. "The next few weeks will be phenomenal.”
One prominent analyst who is looking for quite the opposite of a bull move is veteran technician John Murphy. In a note to clients over the weekend, he said a combination of Elliott Wave analysis, the four-year presidential cycle, seasonal trends, weekly and monthly index charts, sector rotations, rising inflation and higher interest rates have persuaded him that the cyclical bull market that started in the spring of 2003 “is just about over.” He added: “The most dangerous time for the market is the autumn of 2005 to the autumn of 2006.">>

it's our tsunami, without the magnitude of human life lost.
<<This is a catastrophic event. The dude should have been in NO or AL or MS yesterday handing out water, food, diapers, etc. If he was eligible for re-election in 2008, he'd have been there yesterday.>>
I couldn't agree more.
I bought on Friday. A hold or should I get rid of it?

I wish everyone in the path of Katrina much good luck.

ELX weekly - watch for a high next week, possibly near 21.79,then a drop into expiration. It's a pattern with like 80-90% certainty:

Lots of calls at $20 and $22.50 for Sept. on ELX. I don't think those are in the money. Lots of puts at $17.50. I think the support at $20 is tested initially after a tag of $21.79 area. The stock should dip towards $19 by expiration if my read is correct.
The peaks usually occur in the first week of the month on ELX.
I agree about the resistance at 25, but there is a wide band of resistance from 20.91-22.35, including the gap at 22.35.
Nope. Not a good idea. My sister needed financial help and, as a teacher, I had no $$ so I gave her a Rolex watch I had from years ago. I told her to sell it. She did the EBAY thing and got the same line - take it off EBAY and sell it to me that way. She sent it off and never got a dime.
Are you moving back into IPII or are you still holding?
You talkin' to me?
are you buying again on dips or are you done with it? IPII
I can't complain about 1.50 profit overnight though. Thanks to you and Zeev for mentioning the stock.
wowzer - i sold IPII too soon!
gracias tech prof.
So now you're going to handle my ELX acct.? lol
Well, I exaggerated, but I tell ya, you've got to learn to eat less as you get older. Otherwise you might as well buy an extra tire at Costco - but not for your car.
Hey, watch that QLGC!
you know what op? I should just give you my QLGC account and let you manage it. You've got Q-karma or somethin'.
yep, with ELX tagging along.
