Not according to the most messages on this website. Developers need big multiple screens. They can not do development on iPhones.
Read their posts. In schools 75% are using PC - and this is a good indication for the future trends. Anyway we should have MAC version as well.
I've Gogled this question, here are some developers answers:
"Mac OS and Windows, which is more suit for programming?"
------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not either Windows/Mac fanboy or hater. Some of my friends said that most professional programmers tend to use Mac to code, because its UNIX-based, has UNIX command line whatsoever.
However, in my programming class, and actually in my school Computer Science Department, nearly 75% my classmates are using Windows. Also, I hardly see my instructors use Mac when do the program. I don't know if they use their Macbook at home or not, but well...
So, is it true that Mac has more advantages comparing to Windows when it comes down to do programming? or vice versa? If so, then what advantages? ...

Unless you're going to be doing IOS or Java development you'll probably want a machine that can run windows. Microsoft has a lot of good development tools that are windows only such as Visual Studio. Most work places have windows machines for the programmers.
Macs have nothing special for development. The main IDE for OSX is Xcode which is laughable compared to Visual Studio. I'm assuming for school work you're probably using Java or python both which have plenty of IDEs that are on both Mac and Windows. The only real advantage macs have is they can be used for IOS development. So unless you have an iPhone and want to make some apps I wouldn't get a Mac.
I prefer using a PC because I can use more monitors and the hardware is a lot faster. Programming on just a laptop is frustrating.
I know people that use Macbook Pros because they want a laptop and like the hardware, but they put windows on them and do most of their development using windows unless they are doing a simple website or something."

You can see some other developers answers, they're very similar to this one.
No he didn't surprised me. As you can see from previous post, I've asked him specific questions and he gave me his answers.
Yes, that was his answer to my question:
"I wonder, if the new PR firm would advise to place G2 add on this forum, considering they have 170K members?
http://www.webdeveloper.com/ "
His answer:"We're about to reach out to web developers. Probably the week after next."
Prior to that I've emailed to him: "Hopefully we'll get good news on the CC and the 'roof top shouting' will start next week."
Steve: "Your timing is correct. We are ramping up both PR and marketing now."
CHART: Bollinger Bands are indicating: Grossly Oversold
The same chart formation has happened twice for the last year. Last March down to $0.60 and by May the stock went to $0.95 and proceeded to $2.79 by August. The second time in last September - down to $1.60 and by October to $2.93. Both times the downturn has been very brief.
Interesting to see that with all this sell off Chakin Money Flow(CMF)is about to become positive. It was negative since last November. What it means is that the buying volume is much higher than the selling.
I can't think of any reason for the company to be holding off the mass market. Hopefully it's because they're working now with a few large clients.
I've got a reply on this one: We're about to reach out to web developers. Probably the week after next.
Yes, I'm.
IMO Steve is wisely avoiding Obama healthcare disaster and is starting slow to make sure they're ready for the thousands developers and other clients.
As he's promised to us, Clipstream will start slow and then we'll get the vertical part of the hockey stick.
I would like to wait at least till the end of January to make a judgment about his marketing abilities.
As it's been stated, they're getting a new agency to start ramping up marketing.
Please keep a list of questions for next Tuesday.
Some have worried about massive retail investors dumping their shares. I don't see it's happening.
Partly, thanks to this forum, the small investor is getting good information here.
I've emailed to Steve about some concerns raised here and also asked if he is ready to start the heavy promotion next week. Here is his response:
'It's a fair criticism. To some extent, we've delayed any marketing or PR until the product was more usable (we replaced the Dec. 4th version with a much better version on Dec. 24), but we had expected more press by now.
We've gone through two PR companies that have been ineffective and are looking to hire a third.
Your timing is correct. We are ramping up both PR and marketing now."
It looks like Destiny is now ready to shoot from the rooftops.
The new logo (really awesome!) just has replaced old logos on all web pages and all graphics have been updated. Have you noticed that all play buttons also has the logo symbol. It's an excellent strategic marketing move to have the logo symbol on all Clipstream products.
So the glitches are removed and the marketing is ready. Hopefully we'll get good news on CC and the 'roof top shouting' will start next week.
Mike,
Steve has stated that if he will do financing, it will be done in a way that would benefit the shareholders. He's the biggest shareholder.
The only reason he would do financing (also per Steve)is to purchase our own server. With our own server the net profit from G2 will be over 90%. But I'm sure you already know all this.
This is a very important message posted by Van on BIG STOCKS in response to streamingeagle's request. I'm reposting it here for those who hasn't seen it.

A quick summary:
From the naked shorts point of view, they wait for the company to either go bankrupt or do a financing to cover. They don't want to cover in the market because that pushes the price of their collateral up.
Notice how DSNY hasn't done any financing in years?..in fact they bought back stock (IMO) thinking it would make it even harder for shorts to cover.
A Nasdaq listing would force them to cover and I don't expect DSNY to raise any money until/if they get NASDAQ listing.
Another thing the shorts are concerned about is a $3 share price. At $3, with a Nasdaq listing, DSNY becomes marginable and some people will use margin to buy more Destiny. That's the last thing a short would want to see.
A NASDAQ listing brings in a much bigger and deeper pocket crowd, institutions. So many funds cant touch a OTCBB stock. They (funds) also dont panic when a short flashes a large offer for sale (driving the price down).
Bottom line...IMO the naked short IS an institution and they have been able to manipulate the market (flashing big offers etc) because right now the bulk of the shares are owned by retail investors. If DSNY gets NASDAQ listing, institutions come in and the naked short can no longer play his games.

The way it works:
- FINRA members have to declare their short positions and they can't naked short. The declared number is the short through FINRA members. (the number that every one sees listed)
- non US brokerages, who aren't members of FINRA don't have to declare short positions. They also "fail to deliver" stock all the time. The US brokerage buys a share, but it isn't delivered within three days.
The US broker has the right to buy-in the seller, but they don't, because they get to keep their own client's money and collect interest on it until the trade completes. The buyer doesn't realize he only has an IOU in the account as the system allows them to sell the IOU as if it is a real share.
These phantom shares create extra supply the holds the share price down below where it normally would be because the implied market cap. is real shares plus phantom shares times the share price.
If the phantom shares weren't there, the share price would probably be higher.
It is my opinion that we still have A LOT of phantom shares (fails to deliver) from a decade ago.(read my post about the $35M proposed financing).
The motivation to close these trades and finally buy real shares to deliver is that they have to put up ever increasing levels of collateral as the share price rises. In the short term, it makes sense for them to try to keep a lid on the stock so their collateral doesn't rise, but in the long term, it makes more sense for them to try to cover their position.

"DSNY is about to drive a stake through the heart of its tormentor..."
Great bottom line to macnqueso summary.
My guess is that CSTI has realized that "the water IS boiling" and already started covering.
For weeks we've seen it boxing the stock with 100 shares bid/ask. This late afternoon the landscape drastically changed.
After the reverse split announcement CSTI has been on the bid for 10 to 50 thousands of shares, constantly increasing it's bid.
"The frog is now realizing that the water IS boiling.. "
Very funny and accurately describing the situation, Van!
The estimate is that we have about 5M shorted shares.
What a squeeze it should create with only 10M float.
No wonder CSTI put a 50K bid.
The less shares we'd have - THE LARGER THE SQUEEZE will get!!!
What a smart move by Destiny.
Cheers!
We can use a huge short squeeze...
Make sense to me. This will get us to NASDQ quick. The share would go up and then they can split to add liquidity. Norelco is loosing!
Thanks for the scoop, grubstake.
I wondered why Sony's engineers are coming to Destiny in January. Steve has mentioned it recently.
This is probably the BIG reason why.
Your find may have ended the pps slide down today.
This would be another good question to ask on Tuesday.
At least one investor here have tested the latest update and said it works fine now.
Someone also has mentioned a couple times that in personal emails Steve has confirmed that update is done and they don't have any issues now, except some users forgot their password and such.
It's not only what Steve says. It is evidenced by the video, which was posted by VL39.
"Biggest problem in video distribution is transcoding"
Now it makes sense to me. Thanks, JFM.
vl, Clipstream IS Destiny's solution.
Yes, CC.
You're right. It was meant Spark Network by Sprint.
Google's VP9 is a very good news for Clipstream.
From Steve:
This is good news for us. The dominant format is H.264 which is only around 62%. Google is pushing Web M which is around 55%.
This is the new version of Web M, so Google will be taking market share away from H.264.
What it means is that the market is completely fragmented and that our single solution saves transcoding costs.
Google is a big believe in Javascript and our Javascript player fits perfectly into their model. They aren't looking to get rich off of their video format - they are just wishing something cross platform existed.
There is no limit to how high we can go and we can go to 4 K. We are already at 960, which is way higher than most formats. The only problem is that the higher quality requires more CPU and bandwidth and older devices won't support it. On the other hand, the new Spring network is going to support bandwidths of 15 times what we need for our HD quality.
I'm happy to contribute somewhat, macnqueso. There are a lot of excellent info posted here and I've learned much from many of you. I very much agree with your assessment "so this play is greatly de-risked... making the risk-reward quite favorable..."
ztockings, I've started investing in Destiny in the spring of 2012 and have been adding to my position ever since then. Perhaps I've been away for a while and missed your message about the watermarking.
Starkd,
Come to think about it, we actually don't know what kind and if any offers Steve is already getting now.
Just as we had no idea that he's been offered millions for the Watermarking.
Pepsiman, you where right. It did come from today's email. The exact quote is: "We also expect to hire senior staff to help expand the business". I've read it as 'planning to hire'.
Also re: 'The European patent close.'
It is my understanding that's the indication Steve has received from the European patent office.
Steve's replied that the European patent is close. They also expect to hire senior staff to help expand the business.
From Steve:
We see MPE as a $40 million opportunity, so we're only ten percent into it. New revenues are almost 100% margin as the system is completely automated. We think that the current stock price is less than MPE is worth. The major record labels (EMI, UMG, Warner, Sony and 1,000 independents) trust us with their crown jewels, their intellectual property when it is in pre-release mode, the most vulnerable time for them.
We have three granted patents, with our first one referenced by Google, MPE, Cisco, etc. as prior art for their own patents. We've been offered millions of dollars to sell the second patent, which is the most advanced watermarking system in the world. We also have seven pending patents for Clipstream.
Our competition for Clipstream is:
Flash: doesn't play on mobile or TV's https://my.clipstream.com/flashstrat.php
H.264: only 62% and being phased out for H.265 which is 0%
Web M: 55%
The market is wide open and people are begging for a solution to the cross platform issue. Currently, the industry spends $5 billion converting and hosting and they don't have to spend that with Clipstream.
We have launched a cloud service which uses our base technology and Encoding.com, zencoder, etc. are in a way competitors to this service, but they are also potential customers. They use Flash, H.264, Web M, etc. and we can sell them our technology. These competing services have to convert and use content delivery networks.
We expect great things in 2014 and expect our shareholders will see increased value by the end of the year.
Just facts, indeed!
Touché!!!
CC, I'm heavily invested in DSNY for well over a year.
Always enjoy reading your messages. They are ALWAYS very accurate, knowledgeable and clear. Thank you for posting!
