in an effort to promote harmony and peace throughout this board (and to NOT have it end up like RagingBull), how about we all refrain from the 'I spoke to Frank" conversations..and just let the official company Press Releases speak for themselves?
I only say this as one who has been in QBID for 4 years, and have seen it all and heard it all from Frank over that time.
thank you.
dave
well..it sorta goes without saying that Frank need to get his #@)$ together and become a FULLY REPORTING COMPANY. What a concept, eh?
Ya know..my gut always tells me that ANY company that's on the pinks and NOT reporting has SOMETHING TO HIDE. I'd rather see a company be fully reporting, REPORTING THEIR LOSES, and being honest.
it's not an apples to apples comparison, but look at Amazon.com. How many years did they struggle before making a profit??? At least I KNEW what they were doing.
Getting a signal on air, and getting subscribers and advertisers has to happen. BUT, the investing commmuinty just isn't going to take QBID seriously until it plays along with everyone else and starts REPORTING. It's pretty inexcuseable after 5 years. Frankly. It's bullshit.
Synosphere Expands Intellectual Property Portfolio
March 18, 2004 09:04:00 AM ET
PHOENIX, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Synosphere, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of iBIZ Technology Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: IBZT), a developer of innovative PDA technologies, announced today it has filed two new patent applications and two new word marks expanding its intellectual property portfolio.
Both applications are for new and upcoming products, currently in development, that expand the feature set of handheld computers and smart phones. The first application relates to a family of PDA productivity accessories and the second to a unique PDA multimedia accessory. Further details shall be released next quarter.
"These new patent applications shall help protect our future products when they are released to market. Patents, when granted, help create barriers to market entry and product licensing opportunities," said Bryan Scott, CEO of Synosphere. "We are excited about all of our products that are in development and look forward to their future release."
In addition, Synosphere has filed two word marks in order to protect brand identity. One of the word marks is for the Blue Dock (TM), a PDA docking station, currently in development, that allows a PDA to function as a primary computing platform in a desktop environment, without the need for an additional workstation or laptop. Further details regarding the second word mark shall be released next quarter.

I don't have time to go into the past 4-5 years. Maybe someone else does ;)
Suffice it to say that we've been told the launch is emminent many times...that 'new fiber optic cables' were being put in place in the 'new studio' (which turned out to be not true)...and let's not talk about the stock prinitng presses...this thing is WAY WAY diluted, and there hasn't even been a dime of revenue/profit yet...and on and on and on....
there's just a lot of stories of broken promises over the past 5 years, so many of us are gun shy.
That being said...I reallylike what seems to be real progress the past few months, and that's why I've stuck around and bought more shares here and there.
IBZT..nice jump today...
nice 26% boost today..
I'm a staunch non-believer :)
JM isn't a bad guy (for a right wing republican..LOLOL). He's been seriously involved with QBID as long as I have, and even had meetings with Frank. He's also been lied to by Frank and put through the same BS/launch-in-90 days/ wringers that many of longs of 4+ years have.
The rhetoric got out of control, I'm guessing. I haven't heard from him in a while.
nontheless...let's all just contain ourselves. Personally, FOR ME AND ONLY ME, if QBID does NOT launch this time around as promised..I will consider the gloves to be taken off. For now, I'll behave, and stay as cautiously optomistic as I can...after all, most of my shares are at .0001 :)
yeah..I'm kinda glad it's holding 25-27...but, I sure was hoping to buy some more UNDER .002 at some point :)
and example...btw...Watching Queer Eye the other night...there was an ad for an online 'gay travel' website. VERY tastefully done, and definetly aimed at their target audience.
I can imagine travel and cooking shows. Talk shows. Theater reviews. Hell..even coverage of the Gay Rodeo...The possiblities truly are endless. Who knows...maybe even the animator types will jump in...Imagine a version of 'The Simpsons" with gay charactors :)
It's really a matter of programming. Gay TV is a viable concept, and a highly marketable one. If the right people get involved and the right content is developed...the sky's the limit.
there's no telling. If it were ME...I'd be trying to buy or license existing content, as well as finding independant producer/director types to create shows for broadcast.
I'd also be putting a team of producer/directors together to create original content. But, my guess is that there's probably enough content available to get started. And, one the signal is available, and people start subscribing..and ADVERTISING STARTS LINING UP, getting other people to start producing content shouldn't be too hard of a problem.
The challange, I think, is for people to find a way to create content that's gay-oriented, but NOT offensive (for lack of a better word at this point) to the straight community.
There's been enough penetration (no pun intended) by the gay community into the straight market on TV/Cable to help 'educate' straights that all gays aren't just 'sex obsessed deviants and pervrets'. Of course, there will alwasy be a share of bible-thumping boneheads that never will accept anything 'gay', but I really do believe that MOST of america just doesn't give a damn.
If TNN creates quality content with quality adversiting, it will sell.
I think there's problably a lot of content available that the 'straight' world isn't awarre of (that's NOT porn). I also think with the advent of shows like Queer Eye and Queer As Folk, TV execs are finding ways to create programs for that target audience.
It's all marketing. Find the niche, create the programming for that niche. BET..Animal Planet, TLC, History Channel...it's the joy of Cable/Satellite.
I'm not gay..I don't have any idea how you would program for a gay TV station. But..it's a huge market, and I'm sure SOMEONE will figure it out. May or may not be TNN.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Benton County (search), home to Oregon State University (search), will become the state's second county to begin issuing marriage licenses to gay couples.
The county follows in the footsteps of Multnomah County (search), Oregon's most populous, which has issued over 2,200 licenses to gay couples since March 3.
Licenses will be available in Benton County starting March 24, County Commissioner Linda Modrell said Tuesday.
Benton County, about an hour's drive from Portland, is home to Corvallis, known as one of the state's more liberal cities.
Gov. Ted Kulongoski, a Democrat, had urged other counties not to follow in Multnomah County's lead.
"[Kulongoski] continues to believe that counties should comply with Oregon statutes," said Mary Ellen Glynn, a spokeswoman for the governor. "It's disruptive to the state to have some counties obeying the law and others not doing that."
The motion was passed by county commissioners by a 2-1 vote.
Modrell said the decision was partly based on a nonbinding opinion issued last week by Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers (search), which said a ban on gay marriage probably violates Oregon's constitution, although existing state law also prohibits the practice.
The issue, legal observers have said, is likely to wind up being decided by the state's highest court.
"If the attorney general believes it is likely to be deemed unconstitutional, and if the other opinions out there believe the law is likely to be unconstitutional, it is just as unconstitutional today as it will be next week, next month and next year," Modrell told The Associated Press Tuesday.
Modrell said she is expecting the county to face a lawsuit filed by opponents of gay marriage.
Scott Heiser, district attorney in Benton County, said he will not prosecute county officials for issuing same-sex licenses.
Gay rights groups hailed the decision, and said they expected other Oregon counties to follow suit.
"This is a moment where real leaders are stepping forward," said Roey Thorpe, the executive director of Basic Rights Oregon, a group that has been most instrumental in the gay marriage debate.
"People understand that this is an historic moment, and they have an ability to make a difference and take a public position against discrimination."
Anti-gay marriage groups denounced Benton County's actions, and dismissed the vote as pure politics.
"We would call it using the sacred institution of marriage as a political tool," said Tim Nashif, the spokesman for the Defense of Marriage Coalition, which has already filed a lawsuit against Multnomah County. "They're not making decisions just for Benton County, they are making it for the entire state."
San Francisco started issuing same-sex licenses about a month ago, but the California Supreme Court on Thursday ordered a halt. Officials in communities in New York and New Jersey were also ordered to stop.
That made Portland, in Multnomah County, the last resort for many couples.
Judith Angelo and her partner, Dee Shedlow, were on an airplane heading west when they heard San Francisco had ended its monthlong wedding spree. So they headed to Portland.
"I spent six hours on the phone rearranging flight plans and hotels," said Angelo, who lives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
The couple joined dozens of gay men and lesbians from around the nation Monday in applying for marriage licenses in Multnomah County. Of the roughly 30 couples standing in line when the marriage office opened, almost all were from outside the area.
Some couples feared they had wasted a trip. Oregon's attorney general issued a nonbinding opinion Friday that gay marriage is illegal under current state law, and Gov. Kulongoski asked the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners to halt the practice. But the board decided Monday to continue issuing the licenses.
Tony Clemente and Gary Jeroy of Bloomfield, Mich., almost decided not to come to the marriage license office but changed their minds at the last minute.
"This is so exciting," Clemente said as hugged his partner of 31 years. "TV cameras are here and I'm crying my eyes out like a fool."
man..you're opening a huge can of worms.
Just suffice it to say that many of us here have been around for4-5 years when Frank first tried to get this off the ground. We've been through a number of 'launch attempts', all to no avail. We've watched the stock printing press go completely out of control (like..7 billion or so shares now).
yet...we're still here...still having faith that America is indeed ready for a gay-oriented channel...
sigh...ignorance is bliss sometimes ;)
gawd..I hope so. It's been a LOOONG wait.
that caught my eye as well. Why didn't it say 'Triangle Television" or "TTN"??

21st Century Technologies, Inc. Officials Enjoy Warm Reception In Washington
LAS VEGAS, March 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Returning from a successful trip to Washington, D.C. packed with nearly two-dozen high level meetings, officials from 21st Century Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:TFCT) are finalizing its efforts for federal procurement. Company officials were impressed with the level of enthusiasm they received from elected officials. "Once they saw our product demonstration, officials were wondering aloud how such technology hasn't been utilized in multiple safety and leak prevention applications," reminisced Kevin Romney, general manager of 21st Century. "They were awed by its simplicity, easy application and seal power."
Jim Branch, president of Trident Industries, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of 21st Century, accompanied Romney on the trip. Both provided product demonstrations of the ProMag and SeaPatch sealing devices to elected officials from Nevada and Texas as well as to congressional leaders in the transportation and homeland security sectors.
The company's Washington team has obviously worked hard to introduce key decision makers to patch technology products. "Key officials had already been briefed on the capability of our products, but were sold after they applied the patch, were shocked by the loud application and amazed at the sealing power," Branch said, adding that he's confident that the federal government will purchase products to mitigate environmental spills and protect our homeland through various government procurement processes.
ProMag (for land-based applications) and SeaPatch (for marine uses) devices are magnetic patches capable of sealing any type of leak to include size. The devices have been successfully used on large and small circular punctures, jagged tears, even bullet holes -- to overt disasters that are natural, accidental or caused by acts of terror.
As a symbol of their reliability and functionality, SeaPatch and ProMag magnetic-powered quick seal devices have been type-approved by the American Bureau of Shipping and are used during emergency response training at the Department of Transportation's Emergency Response School in Pueblo, Colorado, the Louisiana Emergency Response Training Center and the Texas Engineering Extension Service.

If it works out, I won't be working for long :)
welcome aboard :) There's a number of us LONGS in here (4 years for me), and a whole bunch of newbies. Just hang around, and you'll figure us all out :)
Just don'tpoke JMHollen with a stick. He's grumpy LOLOLOOL.
dave
yeah..you'd think with that many buys at big volumes, the price would go up a whole bunch...
we'll see what tomorrow brings...or maybe an end-of-day run.
At least it didn't TANK too badly :)
a few interesting dips to .0029 today..MM's having a feild day :)
thanks Jim.
Don't remember which other board I was reading that said something about financials...I can't keep track of all of them anymore :)
something seems to have woken TFCT up this am.
and thinking about it more....yeah..but really read it, NOTHING new, really, other than that QBID is now 'contracted" with NTI. So, maybe he finally wrote a check...
and, of course, the 'soft launch' is now going to happen "by the middle of May 2004". Notice the lack of a specific date???
now..the 'Sponsorship Program..." That sounds familiar...wasn't there something like this a few years back????? Do you remember (or have the old PR laying around)?
Also..I LOVE the new wording in the Safe Harbour statement. THAT took a lot of thought...especially this:
"Triangle Multi-Media's ability to execute its business model and strategic plans".
oh well..it's something..and it's positive...and I'll stay positive about it...
.and the market is responding a little bit.. Still don't think it's gonna break .005 till AFTER the signal is up on the bird..
dg
I heard there was a bad financial report today, and that's why the drop. Anyone find anythng?
yeah..it's interesting...Though..now the soft launch is "mid-may"...a slight pushback.
Anyone know how I can get the satellite coordinates?
nice to have you around...Yeah..ya gotta ignore the stuff on RB for the most part.
Those of us who've been around for a while tend to be the most 'jaded' about the rumors, etc...But..we're STILL here, eh??
:) We'll see what happens. $$$$ is all that matters.
hell of a rumor :) I'd certianly be happy...
well..this last time, I'm giving Frank the benifit of the doubt (til monday, anyway). He does seem to be gathering a valid and respectful team of individuals together to get the show on the road.
But.. if he's going to keep talking to people on the phone KNOWING they're going to post info back online....well..he knows better than that.
I'm truly hoping that the SEC is indeed watching VERY VERY closely, as well as the usual 'scam buster' types. If he tries to pull another one on us (as he's done so often the past 4 years), the clamps will close
However, if he's playing it straight, then we could indeed be on our way, and our very patient wait will FINALLY pay off.
ROTFLMAO :) Eyah...the less he talks, the better :)
interesting run at the end of the day, eh? Of course, the goofs on Raging Bull are going bonkers..sheesh..can't even keep up with them.
fine by me..I'll just be able to buy at .001 on monday after the tankage.
I just don't think Franks is EVER going to learn how much damage his little 'leaks' cause him...sheeesh.
maybe it would be best if you just don't post anything about conversations you have with Frank, and we just let his actions speak for themselves.
no hard feelings, and no apology from you is necessary. Your input is always valuable here nonetheless.
IBZT moving on larger than normal volumes
CYRO..wow..I've been using their gear for years...never thought to check out their stock price...Pretty darned low if ya ask me.
nice to see that Karma works.
interesting that QBID is the ony stock on that list that they guy DIDN'T put a target price on...
