not so, I would say it is easier in china than in the US, but it was still looked at carefully by the government...according to French Anderson (further down the article)
Paulness, if you are insinuating that China is using CYGX's technology for the gene therapy trials...then no, that is incorrect.
And waiting
In the words of Ted Knight( I think that was the actor from Caddyshack)...."WELL..... WE'RE WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, I know science but like most scientist, my business acumen is lacking......isn't a company supposed to push the price up of stock by putting out announcement...I've been around enough to understand the buy on rumors sell on news bit, but my question is this....does that only apply to small OTCBB companies, or is that business wide?
nice volume...with no news....hopefully monday....
there was a bottompicks email sent....talks about a big player coming in...but as they also said...they have heard it before...
my guess is the company is about to make an announcement...(just in time)....
has anyone else noticed that the company loves to make announcements on Fridays? I always thought Mondays were better
but that's not new...
30000 at .70?
eightball...not really, never had the malicious intent that you are implying...no anger thrown in...but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
now some people are getting somewhat callous. I tend to agree with Skooby (might I add, that is only the 2nd time I have done so) that the point of the board it to discuss topics related to CYGX....that might entail talking about other companies, albeit at a minimal level. I for one do not enjoy reading personal attacks against anyone (even people that seem to be overzealous).
3.25 was a pump and dump by a scumbag named BigDog...if you were on RB at that time you would have seen it...
CYGX $.12 Sept 02
CYGX $.05 April 03....
we are still a long way off from going back down....if you don't believe the company is going anywhere, adios....
current management.....
I am not a business person.....far from it.....but my feeling is this....management kept this afloat at 5 cents, when other companies would have gone belly up.....now, they are on the verge of something huge....if you don't believe in the management, get out. OR....make it known, but not on some posting site, go to the SHM or some constructive site and state your concerns.....contact the company.....
like I say, not a businessman, just a little ol' scientist
Chadman,
Great post...on point....
everyone else, for those who don't think CYGX will go up, it is pretty easy, sell and move on....
for those that think it will, keep on trucking, enjoy the ride...etc....
we ALL have brains in our head, we can disregard any post we do not like, by the same token, we all can show some courtesy on this board. You can disagree, but keep it non-personal.
as far as CYGX goes, has anyone heard if there has been any more discussion about Phanuel or other countries?
not that dumb, I wonder if they could shoot out multiple (2)sequences, align them together, to make double stranded....should be able to.
RNAi works soley by binding to specific transcript sequences, forming a complex that ultimately leads to degredation of the mRNA....(pretty much the same net effect as antisense-knocking out useable mRNA levels) CYGX on the other hand has antisense down, aptamer formation, ribozyme activity, and a couple other things in the bag...personally, I believe it to be superior to RNAi (siRNA) but RNAi just happens to be what is hot in science now.
another money TV interview.....
I actually agree with Skooby, there are pre-print articles, most journals have them ahead of print, excellent example is PNAS, so everyone calm down...
AND, I agree with Skooby again, getting the word out to as many people as possible is a good thing
AND, I agree with Skooby again, everyone should use their time to promote the stock (albeit I would do it with a tab bit more restraint than Skoob)....
Man, I agreed Three times.....I guess it goes along with the Eagles win, and Favre throwing the INT.
skoob, I have been around cygx, since it was cygs, mike, dell and a handshake.....never has Hogger maligned the company......
I have no problem with looking towards the future....but I also am a realist...with, I would wager, a tad more scientific knowhow than you
Skooby,
you post long, enjoyable essays....similar to the DaVinci Code....full of facts, but embellished somewhat.....but must be taken with a grain of salt. No, I am not attacking the company or you, but people really should do their own DD and divide your coments in half.....
simple answer to your question regarding bacteria growth in different media..environments.....yes, it IS different...Very Envitonment plays a big role in bacterial growth and gene expression....
Thalio,
the OX40(L)was antibody based....the ligand/receptor is upregulated when the T cell gets activated (recognizes the antigen)...and the antibody inhbits OX40's interaction with OX40L...which normally leads to survival of the cell (makes sure they stick around to fight the infection)...if the Ab blocks that interaction (non -specifically) I just thought there would be some complications with a secondary infection.....but this board isn't really the right spot to discuss....CYGX on the other hand...awesome.....
Xenova is interesting, but blocking OX40/OX40L has its disadvantages too....non-specificity, leaving person/rat open to other infections.....
with respect to septic shock, it is the superantigens that lead to the mass overproduction of cytokines, which further propagate the disease in a T cell non antigen specific manner (but for the sci-junkies, in a V-beta specific manner)
I think (hope) CYGX' technology, anti-bacterial work could be instrumental in this facet, knocking out the staph, or whatever bacteria (Strep also has SuperAgs) and they can really help alot of people.
FYI...As a note, the sepsis refered to for S. aureus is really septic shock, and to my understanding results from the release of superantigens that lead to a cytokine explosion that wreaks havoc within the body....doesn't attach to the same receptor as endotoxins.....
New here, long time lurker, but the error rate in translation from RNA to protein is not a mutation....as such, not passed to future bacteria....it is that, an error in producing a protein...next time, may not make the same error.
