RNAi works soley by binding to specific transcript sequences, forming a complex that ultimately leads to degredation of the mRNA....(pretty much the same net effect as antisense-knocking out useable mRNA levels) CYGX on the other hand has antisense down, aptamer formation, ribozyme activity, and a couple other things in the bag...personally, I believe it to be superior to RNAi (siRNA) but RNAi just happens to be what is hot in science now.
