Stun Pistol Successfully Tested to I.E.C. Cardiac Safety Standard
YOUNGSVILLE, N.C., Mar 29, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ( www.iec.ch)is the leading global organization that prepares and publishes standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. The United States of America is a member of IEC. The IEC establishes safety thresholds for shocks from manufactured equipment. IEC standard 479-2 establishes safety thresholds for shock pulses, occurring for the duration at the voltage and the rate of shock pulses from Law Enforcement Associates model MP1 Stun Pistol(TM) with FMT(TM) Technology.
Law Enforcement Associates Corporation ( LENF ), a surveillance and security technology company, today announced that full power shocks from its MP1 Stun Pistol(TM) have been tested for compliance with IEC safety standard 479-2. The average rms current for seven Stun Pistol(TM) shock circuits tested was just 34.68 milliamperes with the highest rms current value in the sample just 37.15 milliampperes. 37.15 milliamperes is less than 1/26th the ventricular fibrillation threshold established by IEC standard 479-2 for shock pulses of the duration, voltage and repetition rate of the MP1 Stun Pistol(TM) shock pulses.
The tests were conducted by Felper Engineering in Orange, California. Felper Engineering's full reports are posted at www.leacorp.com.
Commenting, Mr. Paul Feldman, President of Law Enforcement Associates, stated "Law Enforcement Associates is proud to introduce to market an electronic stun pistol that conforms to the standard of care and safety of the world's electronics manufacturing industry. FONAR Sells Upright MRI to Imaging Center in Texas; Physician Customer Believes The Upright MRI to be the Most Technologically Advanced MRI in the Marketplace
MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)----FONAR Corporation (NASDAQ-FONR), The MRI Specialist(TM), announced today the recent sale of an Upright(TM) MRI to Victoria MRI, LTD. in Victoria, Texas.
Dr. Paul Hoang, a pain management specialist, and anesthesiologist and a general partner at Victoria MRI, said "We purchased the FONAR Upright(TM) MRI after carefully examining the MRI marketplace. We determined that the FONAR scanner is the most technologically advanced product available. It is a very differentiated product which gives us a diagnostic competitive edge over conventional MRI scanners."
Dr. Hoang continued "Our practice includes many patients with back and neck pain. Often, a recumbent MRI can not clearly identify the etiology for that pain. Our new Upright(TM) MRI will scan these patients in the various standing or sitting weight-bearing positions and scan them in the additional positions of flexion and extension. This will enable us to have a better understanding of the nature of their pain. This information is often critical to a patient's diagnoses and treatment."
Raymond V. Damadian, president and founder of FONAR said, "It's always exciting when a customer grasps the diagnostic advantages of the Upright(TM) MRI with such enthusiasm. We look forward to working with Dr. Hoang and seeing his center grow and prosper."
About FONAR
FONAR was incorporated in 1978, making it the first, oldest and most experienced MRI manufacturer in the industry. FONAR introduced the world's first commercial MRI in 1980, and went public in 1981. Since its inception, we have installed nearly 300 MRI scanners worldwide. FONAR's stellar product line includes the Upright(TM) MRI (also known as the Stand-Up(TM) MRI), the only whole-body MRI that performs Position(TM) imaging (pMRI(TM)) and scans patients in numerous weight-bearing positions, i.e. standing, sitting, in flexion and extension, as well as the conventional lie-down position. The FONAR Upright(TM) MRI often sees the patient's problem that other scanners cannot because they are lie-down only. With over 100,000 patients scanned, the patient-friendly Upright(TM) MRI has a near zero claustrophobic rejection rate by patients. As a FONAR customer states, "If the patient is claustrophobic in this scanner, they'll be claustrophobic in my parking lot." Approximately 85% of patients are scanned sitting while they watch a 42" flat screen TV. Our latest MRI scanner is the FONAR 360(TM), a room-size recumbent scanner that optimizes openness while facilitating physician access to the patient. FONAR is headquartered on Long Island, New York, and has approximately 500 employees.

Another 7200 SNDH bought today at the ask prices. HQNT is sometimes late with dividend delivery to shareholders but we always get them. We are over the announced deadline for delivery of the SNDH now so it could come at any time. Then we may see some real scrambling by the shorts who will have to buy SNDH instead of receiving it. If they can't get enough SNDH shares to meet their obligations the price could go MUCH higher in a hurry.
HomelandSecurityStocks.com Update: States Seek to Define Electric Stun Guns as Lethal Weapons
NEW YORK, Mar 23, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- HomelandSecurityStocks.com - As reported in USA TODAY a growing trend is beginning to sweep across the country as states move to define electric stun devices like the Taser ( TASR ) as lethal weapons. This may have a major impact on sales in the less-than-lethal device category as the appeal of these devices derives from their perceived non-lethal status. If these devices are formally placed in the same category as lethal weapons, their use and sales may be severely limited and this could create a major opening in the market for a device that meets the legal requirements of a truly non-lethal weapon.

Genta Obtains Orphan Drug Designation for C-Myb Antisense (LR3001) in Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., March 15, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Genta Incorporated ( GNTA ) announced today that LR3001, an antisense compound directed against a gene known as c-myb, has received Orphan Drug designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML). Designation as an Orphan Drug, which is intended to facilitate product development, provides eligibility for a seven-year period of market exclusivity after approval, grants and tax credits for research and development, and reduced filing fees for marketing applications.
Genta obtained rights to LR3001 from Temple University in December 2004. The drug has been tested in two Phase 1 clinical trials in patients with myeloid leukemias. Genta plans to pursue further clinical development of LR3001 in patients with both hematologic cancers and solid tumors.
About LR3001
LR3001 is part of Genta's DNA/RNA Medicines program. This program uses drugs that are based on chemical modifications of DNA or RNA to selectively knock out the function of genes that may be involved in cancer cause or progression. LR3001 targets an oncogene known as c-myb, which is a protein that directly binds to cellular DNA. C-myb is believed to regulate the expression of other genes that are involved in the growth and differentiation of primitive cells, including Bcl-2, Bcl-XL, c-myc, cyclin A1, cyclin D1, cdc2, and Cox-2. Over-expression of c-myb blocks differentiation, promotes proliferation, and decreases apoptosis. Potential clinical targets for LR3001 include CML, malignant melanoma, neuroblastoma, and cancers of the breast, pancreas and colon.

Bulldog Technologies Announces RFID and Sensor Network Products; Bulldog Develops Leading Edge Technology For Monitoring, Tracking and Securing Assets in the Supply Chain
RFID Products Round Out Security Offering
RICHMOND, British Columbia, Mar 23, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Bulldog Technologies Inc. ( BLLD ), a leading provider of wireless sensor network applications announced today a product release schedule for three major RFID and sensor network product lines. The new products will broaden an already impressive product range, providing additional security applications and enabling more covert installations.
The addition of the RFID products to the existing BOSS(TM) product line allows Bulldog Technologies to offer a complete one stop shopping to customers for all for their asset tracking, protection and security needs. The product offering is the most complete in the industry, meeting the needs of the supply chain customer at every stage of process. The applications for the RFID products are wide spread; the devices can be used in yard environments for security and positioning requirements; in warehouse applications to detect theft, shrinkage and location; in sensor monitoring networks to detect a change in state be it light, hazmat, humidity temperature or even radiation, just to name a few. "Our products can protect cargo from the point of manufacture, right through the supply chain to point of sale," stated John Cockburn, CEO and President of Bulldog Technologies. "RFID is a solid technology that we believe in and that will allow us to offer solutions to untapped security markets, where we know customers are experiencing a definable pain. Our products will resolve that pain and provide a definable ROI that can not be beat."
The initial product development by Bulldog's engineers introduces a short range semi-active tag that uses backscatter modulation to provide a RFID from 60 feet or less. The tag is credit card sized and can operate for up to 24 months with a coin cell sized internal battery. When mounted on a valuable asset such as a shipping container or a cargo trailer, it can be used for monitoring, tracking or securing the assets contained in the shipping vessel. In addition, Bulldog has developed a proprietary reader infrastructure to support the RFID tags. These tags and readers are scheduled to be deployed in customer field trials over the coming months and are targeted to be used for tracking, monitoring and securing of assets as they move through the supply chain.
The second phase of this product release will include the enhancement of the tags and readers to support the emerging EPC compliance standards, which will allow the interoperability of Bulldog products with other companies' infrastructure. These EPC compliant devices will allow the integration of security and asset management into a single RFID application, and greatly improve the Bulldog customer ROI.
Bulldog plans on rounding out their product offering with the addition of long range active Zigbee RFID/Sensor monitoring tags. These tags will support the open 802.15.4 and Zigbee architectures furthering Bulldog's goal of developing open interoperable products that will give transporters and manufacturers the ability to securely deliver and manage assets on a global scale. The integration of industry standards allows for the development of robust applications that can actively monitor any form of sensor compliant with the EPC, Zigbee, or 802.15.4 standards.
Heetor Wald, CTO for Bulldog Technologies stated, "The Bulldog engineering team is committed to developing leading edge technologies. The integration of EPC compliant tags and readers with the Zigbee sensor network architecture gives Bulldog a product that can provide a secure environment and deliver real-time monitoring and tracking data through a single network infrastructure. Bulldog is the first company to develop a security application with such robust functionality that can be deployed worldwide."

SNDH now at a new high of $2.90 on record day volume. Sure glad I am not an HQNT short now. Who knows how much they will have to pay for SNDH when the dividend is distributed and their brokers start calling them.
SNDH is sure alive today. Over 9100 shares traded so far today which is a new day record (and the day aint over yet).
The real HQNT shareholders know the dividends were all real and were all paid in full even though one or two were not delivered exactly on time. By the way, at the current price of $2.00 and up, this latest dividend in SNDH stock will be the most valuable the company has given us to date.
I would assume HQNT shorts (bashers) are VERY interested in exactly when the SNDH dividend will be distributed. Shorts will then be required to buy SNDH instead of receiving it. With the price of SNDH having risen from about .50 to a high of $2.75 so far, who knows how much the shorts will be paying when their time runs out. DC seems to be playing his hand carefully to keep them guessing.
Bulldog Technologies Granted Patent for Key Wireless Cargo Security Technology; Patent Demonstrates the Market Leading Position That Bulldog Touts in Cargo Security
RICHMOND, British Columbia, Mar 21, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Bulldog Technologies Inc. ( BLLD ), a leading provider of wireless sensor networks and solutions that monitor, track and secure assets in the supply chain, announced today that it has been granted a new patent for a security/tracking device that attaches to the rear locking rods of a cargo container or tractor-trailer by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent outlines a solution which provides continuous feedback on security status to a receiving device, be it a device connected to a monitoring network or a mobile pager type. This unique technology is employed throughout Bulldog's BOSS(TM) portfolio of industry-leading wireless cargo security devices for the supply chain.
"This patent is the main building block of our strategic wireless cargo security portfolio," said Heetor Wald, CTO of Bulldog Technologies. "This will provide Bulldog the platform from which to continue to develop customer and market driven industry leading technologies to monitor, track and secure assets in the supply chain."
The granting of this patent demonstrates the market leading position that Bulldog Technologies Inc. touts in cargo security. The BOSS(TM) line of products are designed not only to deter entry but to wirelessly alert the monitoring station should tampering occur. The product line has been proven to be invaluable in port yards, distribution centers, over the road trucking, retail stores and within the law enforcement community.
"The patent represents that Bulldog has the exclusive right to have a device attached to the locking bars of a container or tractor-trailer, with or without GPS services transmitting security data to a monitoring receiver or mobile pager. The patent is an asset to Bulldog, setting us apart by demonstrating that our technology is truly unique", added John Cockburn, President and CEO of Bulldog Technologies. "This is a significant milestone for Bulldog and its shareholders as we continue to build out our presence throughout the various stages of the cargo supply chain, as it will surely create a barrier of entry for our competitors and keep Bulldog and the BOSS(TM) portfolio of wireless cargo security solutions at the forefront of the cargo security industry."

Bulldog Technologies Ships 1st RFID Tags and Readers to GOLIATH Solutions
New Readers and Tags Part of an Estimated 500 Retail Store Project for 2005
RICHMOND, British Columbia, Mar 17, 2005 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Bulldog Technologies Inc. ( BLLD ), a leading provider of wireless sensor network solutions, announced today that it has shipped the first of many RFID tags and readers to GOLIATH Solutions in support of their long-range marketing compliance project with major retail firms. Estimated project size is 500 stores with each store being outfitted with both readers and tags to aid in the electronic compliance monitoring of in store assets.
"Bulldog's sensor network products, which include long-range tags and readers, are used in the monitoring, tracking and securing of cargo throughout the supply chain," commented Richard Booth, VP Sales of Bulldog Technology. "The GOLIATH project is a natural extension of this technology to the retail floor space. Our continuing project with GOLIATH is not only a solid revenue producer for Bulldog, it is critical to our strategic vision." The delivery of product is the result of the previously announced $1.5 Million dollar contract between Bulldog Technologies Inc. and GOLIATH Solutions.
GOLIATH electronically monitors in-store advertising materials by means of a unique RFID tag attached to any sign, fixture or point of purchase display that a manufacturer or retailer wants to monitor. The tags are wirelessly read several times a day by the in store readers and sent via phone, Internet, or paging service to GOLIATH's central server. The data is dynamically accessible by GOLIATH customers through a secure web site.
"GOLIATH continues to be pleased with the innovation and quality of the technology being developed through the collaborative efforts of the Bulldog and GOLIATH technology team," said Robert Michelson, President and CEO of GOLIATH Solutions.
"These products fit perfectly into Bulldog's product strategy by extending our ability to monitor assets further into the supply chain" stated John Cockburn, President and CEO of Bulldog Technologies. "We are looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship as we support GOLIATH in the requirements for new readers and tags as part of the estimated project of some 500 retail stores during 2005, with additional potential to install 4,000 to 6,000 stores during 2006 and beyond. In our opinion the opportunity for this type of technology and solution is immense and this is only the tip of the opportunity. Allowing the supply chain and retailers to monitor and maximize the utility and ROI of their assets will provide more granularity to management, allowing them to make the right decisions at the right time," he continued.

FONAR Sells Upright MRI to Radiology Center in Maryland; Customer Believes The Upright MRI Will Become the Standard for Ortho-Neuro MRI Applications
MELVILLE, N.Y., Mar 17, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- FONAR Corporation ( FONR ), The MRI Specialist(TM), announced today the sale of an Upright(TM) MRI to Next Generation MRI of Columbia, MD. Shipment and installation of the scanner is expected to occur during the second (calendar) quarter of 2005.
Dr. Glenn Molin, director of Next Generation MRI said, "We purchased the FONAR Upright(TM) MRI because of its advanced MRI applications. The Upright(TM) MRI allows patients to be scanned in various weight-bearing positions such as standing, sitting, flexion and extension, etc., enabling doctors to more clearly see the exact nature of their patients' discomforts. The added information can be critical to their patients' treatment strategies."
Dr. Molin continued, "Intuitively, physicians understand the value of Upright(TM) imaging and attempt to achieve it through the use of X-ray or myelography. Now for the first time, with the FONAR Upright(TM) MRI, we can do Upright(TM) imaging using the exquisite diagnostic capabilities of the MRI. I believe that the Upright(TM) MRI will become the standard for Ortho-Neuro applications."
Dr. Molin attended FONAR's Marketers/Owners Meeting earlier this month in Long Island. Commenting on his experience at this gathering, Dr. Molin remarked, "The FONAR Marketers/Owners Meeting was well-planned and professionally run. The information presented was technologically savvy, but easily understood by all those who attended. The sessions provided tremendous insight into the operations and capabilities of the Upright(TM) MRI, and offered many great ideas on how to effectively market the scanner. I found the meeting extremely beneficial, and I plan to attend next year to share my experiences and gain new ideas."
Raymond V. Damadian, president and founder of FONAR stated, "I am always pleased and gratified to learn of a new customer joining the FONAR family. The sale to Next Generation MRI demonstrates the increased demand we are seeing for the Upright(TM) MRI. Practitioners such as Dr. Molin are fast becoming part of the upright imaging revolution."
About FONAR
FONAR was incorporated in 1978, making it the first, oldest and most experienced MRI manufacturer in the industry. FONAR introduced the world's first commercial MRI in 1980, and went public in 1981. Since its inception, we have installed nearly 300 MRI scanners worldwide. FONAR's stellar product line includes the Upright(TM) MRI (also known as the Stand-Up(TM) MRI), the only whole-body MRI that performs Position(TM) imaging (pMRI(TM)) and scans patients in numerous weight-bearing positions, i.e., standing, sitting, in flexion and extension, as well as the conventional lie-down position.

Enhanced External Counterpulsation Improves Cardiac Output in Heart Failure Patients
Martha Kerr
March 15, 2005 (Orlando) -- Results of the Prospective Evaluation of EECP in Congestive Heart Failure (PEECH) trial, announced here during the American College of Cardiology 2005 Annual Scientific Session, show that enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP) improves symptom status, exercise time, and quality of life compared with optimal pharmacologic treatment alone in patients with heart failure.
Reporting the study results at the meeting, Arthur Feldman, MD, chairman of the department of medicine at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, explained that EECP is a technique that consists of placing a series of inflatable cuffs over the calves and lower and upper thighs. The cuffs rapidly inflate and deflate under high pressure at the onset of diastole and systole, respectively. According to Dr. Feldman, the approach is meant to mimic the hemodynamic properties of the heart's intra-aortic counterpulsation. He said that studies have shown that EECP improves cardiac output and endothelial function in patients with stable angina and in those with heart failure.
To determine whether EECP would improve exercise performance, symptom status, and quality of life, PEECH trial investigators randomized 187 patients with mild to moderate heart failure (New York Heart Association [NYHA] class II-III) to EECP plus optimal medical therapy or optimal medical therapy alone for seven weeks. Patients were followed for another six months. All patients received beta-blockers and either an angiotensin receptor blocker or an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. EECP was administered as 35 one-hour sessions over the course of seven weeks.
The primary end point was the percentage of patients who responded to therapy, defined as at least a minimum 60-second increase in exercise time from baseline to six months or at least a 1.25 mL/min/kg increase in peak VO2 from baseline to six months.
EECP was well-tolerated, Dr. Feldman said. After six months, 35% of EECP patients and 25% of control patients increased their exercise duration by at least 60 seconds, a difference that was statistically significant at P = .016. From baseline to six months, exercise time had increased 25 seconds in the EECP group, whereas it decreased 10 seconds in the control group. Dr. Feldman also reported that NYHA functional class improved 31% compared with 16% in the control group and that EECP patients reported a greater improvement in quality of life. However, there was no significant difference in peak VO2 between the two study groups, Dr. Feldman noted.
The results of the PEECH trial, according to Dr. Feldman, demonstrate that "the addition of a standard regimen of EECP to optimal pharmacologic therapy improves exercise time for at least six months." He and his colleagues suggest that the therapy is a suitable adjunct in patients with stable heart failure receiving optimal medical therapy.
Christopher O'Connor, MD, who moderated the panel during which the PEECH results were announced, commented that "[EECP] could provide another option" in the treatment of heart failure. Further trials may be warranted to determine the therapy's exact role in clinical care.

Two days in a row HQNT has closed at the high of the day now. SNDH also remains above the $2 level. All good for HQNT shareholders.
We have had significant volume in SNDH every day since the Swiss contract was announced. At prices above $2/share this represents real investment dollars coming into the stock. Looks like HQNT shareholders have a pretty valuable dividend coming to them.
SNDH just traded at a new high of $2.75 and on significant volume too. Perhaps the HQNT shorts are already fighting each other for the SNDH shares they need to cover the dividend distribution. Sure glad I am not an HQNT short these days.
Another 6550 shares of SNDH traded today. The bid price has also been raised. The contract announcement last week means SNDH is a real company doing real business now and the trading volume is starting to reflect this.
Highest SNDH volume to date today: 7500 shares traded and back over the $2 level in a hurry when the news came out. Very nice for HQNT shareholders.

More SNDH just bought at $2.50 again today.
Very interesting.
