Ahura Scientific Introduces TruScan Material Identity Verification System
Advanced Analytics and Rugged, Handheld Design Provide Powerful New Solution for Pharmaceutical and Industrial Raw Material Inspection
Wilmington, MA —January 23, 2007— Ahura Scientific, Inc. today announced the availability of TruScan, the latest in the company’s line of handheld chemical analyzers.
TruScan is a rugged handheld system for rapid, accurate material identity verification, offering incomparable ease of operation in a tough, lightweight form factor. TruScan was designed to meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturing operations, both in highly regulated environments and more flexible operations.
Increasing regulatory and liability pressures, variable batch sizes in more adaptive manufacturing environments, and the prevailing drive toward lean manufacturing are having tremendous impact on the cost and logistics of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Companies are actively seeking tools that enable them to meet the new production demands and financial objectives of their operations, while at the same time adhering to quality, regulatory and safety requirements.
Designed with these critical requirements in mind, TruScan provides a robust, effective and highly accurate solution for Material Identity Verification at point of acceptance, point of release, or even point of sale. Using Raman spectroscopy, TruScan quickly determines if the material in question is chemically authentic. TruScan can be used for a variety of sample types, including incoming raw materials, intermediates and finished product. Raman spectroscopy’s ease of sampling makes TruScan ideal for non-contact use on double-bagged actives or excipients, materials in glass vials or bottles, or final product in blister packages.
“As with Ahura’s earlier products, we worked very closely with leaders in the pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturing industries to develop a product that truly meets – and exceeds – their technical and operational requirements,” said Daryoosh Vakhshoori, founder and president of Ahura Scientific, Inc. “TruScan was designed to take the guess work out of material identity verification and we’re delighted with the enthusiasm the market is already showing for this radical new approach.”
Key features of the TruScan material identity verification system include:
Handheld – Weighing less than 4 pounds (1.8 kg), TruScan can be used on the loading dock, in the warehouse, at the distributor, or wherever rapid material verification is required.
Ease of use – TruScan’s intuitive user interface and managed workflow minimize user error and ensure even novice users are quickly up and running.
Rapid results – TruScan quickly analyzes a substance in question and provides an immediate decision on its validity, typically within 30 seconds. Further, TruScan’s point-and-shoot operation enables sampling through packaging, such as double-bagged pharmaceutical ingredients in a drum or tablets in blister packaging. This avoids contamination, eliminates operator exposure to potentially hazardous materials, and further speeds the sampling process.
Managed workflow – TruScan’s embedded workflow software ensures the correct Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or method is followed for each sample, backed by three levels of password-protected user authorization. The built-in bar code reader minimizes transcription errors.
Ruggedness – TruScan is derived from military requirements for toughness. Extensive and demanding vibration and drop tests, as well as operation in extreme temperatures and humidity, were an integral part of the product development process.
Validation and regulatory compliance - TruScan has been designed for use in 21 CFR Part 11-compliant environments, and has UL and CE certification. It has built-in self-test diagnostics, including system checks at the start of every measurement, and system calibration to NIST and ASTM standards.
Optional TruScan snap-on accessories include a vial holder, universal tablet holder and the FlexProbe fiber-optic extension.
Industry Recognition
Ahura Scientific has been recognized with many awards for innovation and industrial design, including a 2006 R&D 100 Award from R&D Magazine recognizing the top 100 most technically significant products of the year. No, no, no High C!
"You are really saying that they planned to fire JG even before they hired him. Maybe just to get MP off the hook,WOW!!"
Where the hell did you get that?
The dumping of the rent-a-box in Rockville and the resignation (for whatever reason) of JG is absolutely no excuse for not filing on time.
They didn't file on time because they didn't want to file on time. It's that plain and simple.
LOL High C!!!! You have an accuse for everything! But next time can you start your excuse with the word "sure", I like it when you use that word.
"...the person who was responsible for its completion was either fired/or quit before completing same, actually leaving no one to complete the filing."
Who JG?
Is that your excuse? The move (and loss of JG) was such a last minute decision that it caused a delay in filing? How incompetent would that be when the move had allegedly been planned for years?
Nope HC, the correct way to reason such events is to ask yourself what advantage would it give the fat cats to delay filing, then work backward.
So Crow, why is it that this "squeaky clean" Scamco which has always filed on time suddenly chose to delay/withhold information to shareholders?
Maybe they haven't had enough time to move "product" before they release last quarter numbers?
It's very bad news if the filings don't show significant (at least about a 1000) Valimed sales after a huge 38% discount offer.
Maybe they can take the existing Valimed units in the boneyard, upgrade them with the UV pulse lasers and create a oil & gas detector with (only) a 150 meter stand-off capability for airborne operations.
Valimed can fly.
No! Tell me it isn't true! LOL
Are you sure Sanddollar? eom
LOL!!!
"...we ordered the UV “pulse laser” necessary for us to move forward with developing chemical detection capability from substantial distances. While this purchase allows a standoff distance of only about 150 meters...
ONLY about 150 meters? It sounds like he's apologizing! And now it's under an inch!! Too funny!
Oops, sorry "HC" (know I know how you got your alias "Hich C" LOL), I addressed the wrong poster. Thought it was Cappy.
"I occasionally give credence to some of your posts, but this one tells me you are really scrambling.
To go back 5 1/2 years to ridicule another company shows a definite weakness in position."
That first sentence sounds almost exactly like my last comment to you! Right back at me huh? LOL AFA going back 5 1/2 years, well... hindsight is 20/20 as they say. Is it relevant to look at what you claim was "another company"?
Absolutely since CDEX is simply a reorganization of that "other company" and most all the inside players then are still playing today, the only difference is they've been shuffled around a bit. The scamco shuffle.
Does going back 5 1/5 years make the post irrelevant? No way, in fact, aren't some of your posts "going back" many years too? Yes would be (TM- Ontheedge) the answer.
"In a later post: now you make fun of a sensible move, which should have been made from the beginning, except the hopeful contacts were generally in the DC area and money was still tight, and the move of individuals before success may have looked foolish, and premature."
Wrong Capmike, I'm not making fun of the move. I agree that their corporate location initially had promise of establishing contacts in the DC area. I think they've had enough time to establish whatever contacts could have been made and it's now time to trim the fat and tighten the belt.
What I find nonsensical is how the article glorifies the merits of the move, how the move has allowed CDEX to establish valuable resources.
The Tucson lab has always been CDEX's only truly active location and those resources have already been well established (or should have been) prior to the recent move. In other words the PR is mostly fluff. Don't go getting all "wowed" for goodness sakes!
"Now Cdex acts as if it intends to be a legitimate company, and your past description of mail drop is no longer applicable, and it seems to be eating at you."
LOL! CDEx is now acting as if it intends to be a legitimate company? LOL So what have they been up to this point? Illegitimate? Nahhhhh, you gotta be kidding'?! When did you determine this revelation? Shirley (TM-you) after you invested your nest egg?
The so-called mailbox-drop is gone. Good deal. Smart move. End of story. Don't make anyhting out of it other than that, but heck, if it pleases you that it may be "eating at me" I'll go along with it for your benefit! LOL
"It also seems as if another company is using Cdex's potential reputation to seek other companies by issuing their own Pr's re/ Cdex."
Now I'll agree with that.
~out to do stuff (TM- Stock)
Simply more CDEx BS. Unbelievable!!!!!
"The company’s move to Tucson triggers a need for locally sourced professional services, and TREO’s BusinessLINC program has proven to be a perfect match to assist CDEX in identifying those services."
LOL!!!!
Suddenly, after abandoning their Rockville rent-a-space, they have a need for new services at the only real business location they ever had?
Too funny!!!!
"I continue to hold my entire position (underwater, but never owned more, never had more dollars at risk)."
Not too smart falling in love with a sub-penny Scamco.
"Next week, for the first time in CDEX history, the company will be operated from the same location as the lab, and the company will have Tim Shriver as interim CEO."
So. Irrelevent.
"This means, for the very first time EVER, the CEO's name is on the issued patents and the patent applications."
So. Irrelevent.
Yawn... very weak and desperate sounding argument. No need to comment further. The fact that you allowed your "life savings" (TM- Capnmike) to dwindle away in a penny Scamco establishes your investment savvy more than any of your advertising rhetoric.
End of story.
Doesn't this just make you sick!
Landmines To Be Detected On Capitol Hill
Market Wire, September, 2000
U.S. Capitol Police officers are preparing for an unusual event this week as a revolutionary breakthrough in landmine detection technology is demonstrated on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol. On Wednesday, September 13 at 1:30 p.m., officers will bury samples of the most common landmine explosives, TNT, PETN and RDX for a new device, called ELF (Eliminate Landmines Forever), to discover and identify. ELF was developed by Loch Harris, Inc. after nearly five years of research and development. Following successful testing in Croatia, the ELF technology has now been proven ready for international deployment. (five years, right when Sandia published their research on the technology and Blair, Poteet and Cauthen were reportedly working closely with the lab.)
Every year, 26,000 innocent people are killed or maimed by land mines each year, with nearly 10,000 of these victims being children. U.S. Representative Ron Klink (D-PA), sponsor of the demonstration, issued a letter recently urging his colleagues in the House of Representatives to get involved in the efforts to find a solution. "I urge you to attend this demonstration of a technology that could help save the lives of countless people around the world." www.house.gov/apps/list/press/pa04_klink/elf.html
Loch Harris CEO Rodney Boone says while governments work to ban the use and production of landmines, resources must be allocated eliminate existing mines. "According to the American Red Cross there are more than 110 million landmines in over 80 countries," said Boone. "Many of these landmines exist in regions where mine fields are unmapped and have been indiscriminately placed...every 22 minutes, an innocent civilian dies from a landmine explosion. ELF will save lives from deadly landmines and restore communities in Mozambique, Cambodia, Vietnam and other affected countries around the world!"
Frank Gaffney, Director for the Center for Security Policy, says the situation in the Balkans is critical. "What you have here is the systematic, indiscriminate extermination of innocent people in the Balkans." Frank Jakovac, a humanitarian and Croatian-American, added that U.S. support is important to the success of landmine removal. "As Americans, we have an obligation to utilize our resources to help solve many of the world's critical issues. Once again, American technology (ELF) is there to help solve this potentially catastrophic world problem."
ELF combines X-ray and florescent technologies in a portable device to identify landmines and recognize the type of explosive materials. It can reach out to three meters and several feet underneath soil or water. Currently, mine sweepers probe the earth, inch by inch, with metal rods looking for landmines. In Croatia, where landmines have claimed tens of thousands of lives, authorities estimate it will take 100 years to eliminate all of the landmines in its countryside. Utilizing ELF technology, professional landmine personnel state they could significantly reduce the quantity of landmines in less than five years. ELF will be demonstrated at the "Triangle" on the southeast, House side of the U.S. Capitol, Wednesday, September 13 at 1:30 p.m. EDT. All media and interested parties are encouraged to attend.

I still believe that the landmine crisis trumps the counterfeir drug crisis, the bad booze crisais, the liquid med checker (wrong drug crisis) and the meth detector for the speed freak crisis.
How any honest investor can still take these scamsters for their word is beyond my comprehension. Of course. there are some that don't give a sheet about who gets caught holding the bag, they are only interested in making a buck, ("watch the volume").

Hey Paige, I'm not going to touch that one! LOL
Yep, I sure do. I wonder how Mr. Beans is doing.
Kires, look for arloco, not "lori".
Now here's a good one. Sorry Paige, I think Closer has surpassed your Big Bertha analogy with one of the most opposite meaning ones yet:
"...YOU and I know the CDEX TECHNOLOGY has a chance to be successful IF all the stars can ever "get in line", and the stock is still trading despite longtime naysayers doing as much as they can to disrupt and terminate..........whether it's VALIMED, or the METH gun, or "maybe" OIL and GAS exploration that the "other" Robert is so high on..."
Hint: the chances of all the stars lining up "would be" (TM- Ontheedge) ZERO! (*)
On a side note, could an oil and gas detector be the next golden widget? I'm starting to hear mention of it just like the way the meth gun was slowly weaved into the dreamscape.
Can CDEx help mitigate our national oil crisis with a oil detector?
Could it save lives by bring our Boys home?
After all, isn't there more money in finding oil then saving speed freaks- altruism be damned?
But wait, will the detector have to be within an inch of the ground to work?
Stay tuned! (TM- Msbuffyz- not Closer)
(*) No Xeno, we're not going to get into a discussion of whether the universe is open or closed! LOL
OT: Beaniebabies, just visited a home construction site in Montecito, CA (Santa Barbara). It's the most expensive in the US- 200+ million and only a 18,0000 sq. foot structure.
I think the owner wants it to be the next Hearst's Castle.
The owner: the Taiwanese inventor of beaniebabies.
I watched a recent episode of NCIS. When checking for trace explosives they didn't look on the guys zipper, they turned his front pockets inside-out, swiped a sample, sprayed it with an indicator and bingo.
My, my, my... I see our resident CDEx stock promoter, capnmike, has started the advertsing campaign again. That's a good sign that CDEx has received a cash influx from their newly authorized product. Advertisers no se trabajan por gratis.
"The good news is that the meth gun has actually detected meth" LOL!!!!
That one still kills me. They seem surprised! What a cool concept, this product actually works. HEY, it actually detected that large pile of crystals!!!
It reminds me of the technical specifications on the PS3 brochure intoduced 4 years ago. Now that was funny!
IMO, if the meth gun cannot operate consistently with a significant stand-off distance/scan footprint it will be dismissed like it was by the Army and Navy. It will end up in the boneyard with the ELF, EM-1, VAMMP, PS3, Counterfeit Drug Detector, The Booze Buster and Valimed (Oops! forgot, I'm still giving Valimed till the next SEC report, but it's not looking good right now)
How long did Sonny-boy work for CDEx?
My research has uncovered an uncanny association between CDEx and Proctor and Gamble.
"It's kind of like a new Tide" said Mr. Bagely
LOL!! Xeno, Do you think Capnmike is wowed by those old projects where Poteet and Cauthen were "on the team" or do you think capnmike believes that shareholders/investors are all idiots?
Tang! They still make that stuff?
I use to drink it when I was going to be an astronaut. LOL
WHAT??? Don't let an ego get in the way of 47K! Tell her to take the deal and for Andy to shut up and play.
She's the vocals, not him.
To keep this on topic I'll have to add that the band can invest 20K into CDEX. LOL
Paige, yes it does to me. If a foreign substance interfers with the spectral region of interest and alters the fingerprint the test result should be "not validated".
However, that has nothing to do with whether the sample is sterile or non-sterile. The sample could still be either.
A "validated" result does not imply the sample is sterile and a "not validated" result does not imply the sample is non-sterile.
Valimed doesn't know.
The introduction of a foreign substance causing non-sterility may or may not fluoresce at all, or may not fluoresce in the spectral ROI thereby altering the fingerprint.
Believe me, if Valimed could determine sterility it would be advertised in no uncertain terms so there would be absolutely NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!!! ##$@@##**&&^!! (TM- Closer)
What was described to you was a scenario where Valimed may unknowingly not validate a sample as a result of non-sterility.
I doubt it Sanddollar, not with so much promise of a future pump-n-dump with the much anticipated news about the meth gun.
Our CDEx stock promoter has been working too hard keeping readers abreast of all the news about the meth crisis.
I can't see such hard work dying on the vine.
I still think the landmine crisis was much bigger.
Hmmm... it just goes to show you that a crisis and a Loch/CDEX concept product can have absolutely nothing to do with each other... except to make insiders money of course.
High C, first time I heard that story. Were you curious why Blair didn't give the same explanation as in the PR? It was stated that Griffin resigned because he didn't want to make the move to the Tucson facility. Why is the answer to your question now selective information?
"I believe Griffin's leaving was a surprise to most of CDEX.
I say that because as I posted at the time when that news came out,I was shocked, and I placed a call to Chuck Foster's cell phone # which he had given me at The March SHM.
I asked him why Griffin left and he stated that he had just hung up from talking to Jerry Blair about that same subject. When I asked him if Griffin left because he had lost faith in CDEX,he immediately pulled the selective information bit."
The only thing that I conclude is the PR did not give the TRUE reason for Griffin's departure.
What's wrong with these people? Why can't they ever get their stories straight! It reminds me of Ontheedge making up his ridiculously convoluted (and funny) accuses for Poteet, MP and company.
According to Ontheedge, it was unknown that x-rays could flouresce explosives until discovered by the CDEx technical staff.
According to "wpoteet", ELF and EM-1 were the exact same tech platform, the only difference was the EM-1 contained Timmy's tweaked optics package.
Question: How did ELF work if CDEX didn't yet discover that x-rays fluoresce explosives? LOL
"... The truly unique aspect of CDEX's work is the discovery (not found by any other research group until CDEX revealed it) that certain co-existing materials that are detectable by x-ray fluorescence are present in all explosives manufactured by all countries in existing landmines."
-Ontheedge01

But wait there's more (for you Paige)....
" Valimed does not differentiate between sterility and non-sterility, nor does it claim to do so diddy."
I don't think Paige new what Big Bertha was Xeno! LOL Didn't one of them explode whilst being fired, killing the whole crew?
This company has developed ScenTrak(TM) and has a R&D grant from Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA)
http://cogniscentinc.com/
It is called "latent marketing" (TM- d4diddy). They were advertsing a concept product using a mock-up model for the purpose of selling PP shares and thwarting lawsuits.
Unbelievable! If CDEX can't sell a product which they have been actively marketing for four years, what are the chances of funding the development of a new product, then successfully marketing that product in one of these areas?:
Possible Product Applications of CDEX’s Technologies:
- Oil & gas exploration
- Standoff biological and chemical detection in an open-air environment (When has CDEX tested a single biological agent)
- Head Vent Monitoring and Characterization in Waste Drums (LOL!! What would be the expense of developing a XRF for waste drum characterization? Hint: It would have to operated at about 2 Million eV. How many would they sell?)
-Monitoring Radioactive Waste (Geiger counters are dirt cheap these days. They monitor radiation levels.)
-Monitoring Plasma Chambers of Chipmakers for contaminants
(Do they mean the infamous VAMMP? The technology successfully developed, patented and commercially licensed by Sandia? The technology that MP continued to advertise while at CDEX until the Sandia patent was granted, then it suddenly was never spoken of again much like the "waiting-in-the- queue, Army tests and the active martketing of the PS3?)
In Fact, if you read this article posted by Cappy, you'll notice some disturbing similarities between CDEX and SulphCo:
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0CYH/is_20_5/ai_79086365
To answer my original question, the chances are near zero IMO. Right now they needed to authorize another 50 million shares to continue their current business model which doesn't seem to be performing as expected, or at least as advertised by CDEX stock promoters.
I

Crow.
"Or do you still believe he was working for them.LOL"
It's a fact he (MP) was hired by Boone and Baker after the inception of CDEX, a Nevada Corporation.
Not an opinion Harry, a documented fact.
The question is how long had MP been working for the Boyz prior to that date? Back when he was Rod's golf partner and touting Loch/ELF as p4316 on RB.
Merely a small sampling Xeno. eom
Todo en la familia. eom
... or continue to bolster the rumor about a hostile take over as described by Jenn. Maybe it didn't pick up enough steam and needs a little push. It appears from Jenn's post that MP suggested it without commiting to actually saying it. Step two to a successful rumor would be to get those tweety birds chattering about it thru the mill works. And get it to Raiderman! LOL
So typical. Your DD wouldn't be complete without asking yourself, how would the successful placement of that rumor benefit the insiders?
I say BS, when has the self serving MP ever said anything that shareholders could sink their teeth into?
Unknown senior DC lawyer.
Sell like hotcakes.
Two (2) meters.
One photon.
VAMMP.
No obstacles to overcome in development.
Strategic investment of a life time.
Army contract without being registered with the CCC.
Testing under ice.
Waiting in the queue.
Marketing of the PS3.
5:1 reverse split to prevent hostile take over.
Remember the rumor that the spin-off would be 1:1? Problee to prevent shareholders with frayed nerves from being pushed over the edge?
Then what happen? Rumors, staged internal fighting, leaks about the lawsuit, attempted career assassinations and when it was all over it was a 1:9 R/S.
THEN... CDEx 1:5 R/S their 200 million authorized shares TO PREVENT AN ALLEGED HOSTILE TAKE OVER! LOL Mi culo.
Gee, CDEX authorizing 200 million shares sure made me think shareholders would get more than they did. Guess I was wrong.
So a 1:1 spin-off turns out to be a 1:45 for shareholders. Nice and slow, that's the way to do it, nice and slow.
So, how would such a rumor benefit MP, Stewrat and company?
That's the question.
"...so the paper work got lost. Big deal."
My baby brother ripped up the records.
My dog ate it.
"HARI, it is a fact that .10 cent shares were sold to Dawn and others, BUTTTT"
Sure, he sold some shares for ten cents, bigg deal... blah, blah, blah
Geez High C, you are the Mother of all MP apoligists. Unbelieveable!! LOL
Sanddollar, did you catch any of Orangecat's posts? It looks like there were some interesting allegations.
Law suits in Madison?
Maybe lmorovan archived them on his website.
lmorovan?
AND... ya'd think at least one of those 13 employees and 6 managers would answer the phone when ya call the lab! LOL
I can't believe Harry would believe such nonsense!
