AKC would.
The web host would do the work but EI could or would be asked to provide a disc with the photo. The photo should be done with a hi res digital camera and put on disc NOT down loaded and emailed. The quality is better from the disc in my experience.
I am unsure if its May, I am a publisher to 500,000 homes in the Los Angeles area, we typically work a month ahead for graphics and production to keep up with all the changes from previous clients and new creations from new clients, its nuts let me tell ya when your on a deadline..
OT: I have a deadline for 25,000 homes due up Tuesday and I have 4 clients that need to get ther sh..t together in order to meet the deadline. Talk about the last hour...story of my life..
EI's order to the magazine will go thru various steps, probably 3 to 4 communications from the graphics, QC and stuff. Then plate and film, then set up and print, then coalate, bind, label. Prepared and shipped to USPS for distribution. So ya, May sounds about right......LOLOLLOL
Im a typin fool tonight..
thanks, the DPI resolution on the attached photos must be 18 as many are, we need a 300 dpi photo in that slot.
The Wine Bottle Urn....hmmmmm
tooling once again.
note to self:
Everytime I think of an urn style, I need to consider the business aspect of supply and demand matched against tooling and other costs in order to move forward on any one idea...it must make sense in a market perspective, otherwise its a set up for failure. Hence MLB, Vatican, AKC and Precious Moments are repetitive markets which creates stability in the company. The model for this business must contain this aspect as a rule for determing qualifications for entry into EI.
It sounds funny. But... When you go to a show and walk the booths, you find dozens of booths with all kinds of products and services. 20 years ago I sold Sports Medicine Therapy Products at a boat show and I sold a boat load of Knee Braces... So who knows, it could work...lol The AKC pamphlet. Just hand em out.
But then again, I could sell Ice in Alaska. (so they say)
I go to all kinds of shows through out the year like a lot of folks, sometimes boat, RV, HoMe reModELing lol..
If there is a dog or cat show in my area I will go just to take the fam.. and check it out.
It would be nice to SEE the dots connected first hand...
Have you ordered a Dog Fanciers Mag?
also the Catholic magazine with the EI product on the back cover (Full Page outside position). I definetly want a copy of that mag!!!!!!
Say burn, do you know or perhaps Superbee does. When will AKC put the EI products on their website?http://www.akc.org/index.cfm?nav_area=homeage
I concur with your point of view.
Its like FORD all over again. Taking an existing industry to the next level.

Eternal Image, Inc. (OTC:ETIM.PK), a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and marketing of licensed image caskets and urns, today announced that it plans to ship 1,000 American Kennel Club(TM) (AKC) pet urns in the first 100 days of availability. Distribution begins March 15.
"We are working with dozens of retail and wholesale distributors to coordinate order quantities for initial shipments," said Clint Mytych, CEO of Eternal Image. "Pre-orders through our company, as well as through AKC.com and Cherrybrook.com, have been very encouraging, and we expect that the line will continue to be very well received when retailers have it in-hand."
The AKC urn is crafted from burnished copper and bronze die-cast aluminum. The base has a highly-polished clear coat finish that offers the appearance of wood. The AKC logo is embossed on the face of the metal casing and a photo window has been designed into the top of the urn so that the owner can insert a favorite photo of the pet. On the base are fittings for a customized metallic nameplate provided with the urn.
In addition, the company has entered into a 12 month advertising agreement with Dog Fancy Magazine in order to further promote the line.
Urns can be ordered through the American Kennel Club (www.akc.org) and Cherrybrook (www.Cherrybrook.com) websites. For more information about the AKC urns and/or other Eternal Image products, please visit www.EternalImage.net or call 1-888-6-CASKET.

Simi Valley 1 mile from:
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum
40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, California 93065
Air Force One Pavilion
Upon leaving office, President Reagan stated that one day he hoped he would be able to share Air Force One with the American people by placing it at his Presidential Library. That dream to have this magnificent aircraft here at his Library has finally come true. We are privileged to have this national treasure and honored by the trust the United States Air Force has placed in us to share it with the American people. The new Air Force One Pavilion, which opened on October 24, 2005, celebrates President Reagan’s vision and tells the story of his staggering achievements.
Visitors to the Reagan Library will be able to board the Air Force One that served as the “Flying White House,” for President Reagan and six other U.S. presidents from 1973-2001. The new Air Force One Pavilion celebrates President Reagan’s vision of face-to-face diplomacy and tells the story of his achievements in promoting peace and democracy around the globe. In addition to Air Force One, the Pavilion includes a Johnson-era Marine One and a Presidential motorcade featuring President Reagan’s 1984 parade limousine.

Orlando Agudelo-Botero
Magic – The Jugglers
A One Man Exhibition
Orlando Agudelo-Botero is a true original: Artistically, thematically and stylistically. He follows his own path, unaffected by emerging trends, fads or fashions and that is what makes each new body of works so highly anticipated.
Titled, MAGIC, this most recent group of oils on canvas is outwardly about juggling, but juggling as a metaphor for the balance we all seek in life. The artist depicts juggling in a host of life’s endeavors; family, education, love, logic, emotions, resources, etc. Reflecting the artist’s own inner harmony, these paintings enrich our own landscapes and provide a visual map to the painter’s soul.
In each of these paintings, Orlando’s life philosophy flows out through his art. It is true expression, powerfully rendered with a sense of joy. When speaking of this body of work, Orlando said, “To me these paintings embody the integrity of the creative process … the search, the exploration period, the discovery and finally, the realization.”
In La Familia – Árbol de la Vida, Orlando explores one of his recurring themes that has been with him since childhood … the family. In this painting, the father figure stands along a horizon line, which sweeps gently up a rolling hill and against a bright clear sky. Both are symbolic of the journey ahead of them. He juggles as he stands before his wife and child and one gets the sense that he is entertaining them, as well as juggling or balancing their family dynamics, status and concerns. The mother, holding the child, sits on a stack of books, emphasizing the importance of education, while along with their child; both look up in support of the father. Behind them, a small, gentle, but sturdy tree gives form to the proverbial “Tree of Life.”
In A Cappella, one of his time-revered archetypes makes itself present and the artist responds with devotion. This time, he has distilled its truth providing the canvas with a simple and powerful human form over a mystical dark background, like a candle of bright light in the darkness. Orlando says of these archetypes: “These images appeared in my drawings when I was three years old. They have evolved over the years and I see them as strong, simple expressions of our basic humanness. The circles surrounding the figure … in perfect balance and harmony are projections of love …love we have and the love we give. These archetypal images are a part of me; they are aspects of us. There are times in the studio in which I call them forth … they are essence and an important element in my creative zone. There are times in which I feel they are asking me or even challenging me to transcend and to discover beyond that which I know, that which I have previously established.”
Humanidad is the painting in which the artist reveals his ideology in matters which he feels are needed in the world. During his research for this piece, Orlando spoke to a great number of individuals and asked them the following question: “In your own opinion, what are the three most important elements that our generation should prioritize, in order to create a better world for future generations?” After months of research and personal reflection he decided to create a simple but strong painting depicting a vast landscape with two horizon lines, one in the foreground, tilted upwards representing the present and a second one, in the background, level across the canvas, faintly visible into the future. A central, primitive figure, symbolizing humanity stands with open arms, juggling three large tablets against bright cadmium yellows and gentle moss greens, both colors, he uses to symbolize hope. Each tablet contains a singular word or symbol of the elements which the artist deeply believes are the most important priorities; Love, Education and Science.
In another canvas, Magic, The Tree of Prosperity, the artist begins with a lush, red canvas. A juggler, romantically and lyrically drawn, stands in the center against a horizon line tilting upward, suggesting with optimism the process of life as an uphill journey and subsequently, growth. The juggler’s arms are moving rhythmically as he masterfully keeps twelve objects suspended in sync. Off to one side is a delicately drawn tree bearing the fruits of prosperity while the light along the horizon line suggests the dawning of a new day.
In Equanimity, the artist creates the personification of love and romanticism, expressed with graceful lines and an intimate palette, honoring the universal feminine figure with subdued brilliance. This archetype has been appreciated throughout his career and it has been portrayed observing a great deal of dignity and respect to his subject matter. Two succulent, heart shaped apples, on each side of her, suspended in perfect balance are symbolic of a perfect equilibrium. The horizon behind her is perfectly level and the row of trees arranged together to form a whole is his testimony of structure and organization, his basis for equilibrium and equanimity. Above her, romantically etched into the canvas is a shooting star, which foreshadows good things to come.
In Idealismo, a solitary figure sits and contemplates life, surrounded by a wash of soft, pastel colors. He has created his own environment represented by these colors and that becomes his own reality. By his demeanor we can tell that he is an optimist filled with hope… even euphoria or buoyancy as he playfully juggles his ideals into the air… and contemplates his life and the wonderful possibilities ahead. His new reality will be a direct result of his ideals.
The Magic of Frolicking shows two figures, male and female, performing a playful pas de deux against a passionate, red sky. He leads the dance and juggles the stars for her while she gently provides his balance by reaching out for his feet. Surrounding them are a myriad of stars which encourages their free will and adds dimension to the powerful sky. Below them is a row of trees, which offers perspective, provides the illusion of a horizon line and serves to impart their momentum into the sky.
In the Juggler, one of the first images begun in this body of work, as well as the largest painting of the seventeen canvases, the figure is elongated and supple. His form, not executed according to human anatomy, shows flexibility and agility and suggests the ability to bend without breaking, attributes that are essential of a good juggler. His head, deftly drawn, looking both right and left, as if glancing into the present and future. He juggles fruit: apples and oranges, both metaphors for the different issues in life. Two of these fruits are golden, symbolizing the spiritual elements of our life. As in most of the pieces in this series of paintings, in the lower corner is a tree that represents life and by the colors on the horizon, we can faintly see a rebirth, a dawning, an emerging sun.
Horizonte (Horizon) was created in celebration of the splendor of life. For this purpose, a jubilant human figure is portrayed facing the vastness of the landscape in front (a metaphor for life) and an extended horizon, symbolic of goals, personal growth and new realities to achieve. The palette he chose for this painting is simple, yet eloquent and strong. The clear blue sky is symbolic of the future to come and the Venetian red with accents of moss green are indicative of solidity and optimism. Orlando started this painting on a single 36" X 36" canvas. However, as the concept evolved, more space was needed to achieve his goal and a triptych was born...
Orlando Agudelo-Botero’s most recent body of work, Magic, flows from the mind and soul of an artist whose creative energies illuminate and nourish our own inner being, as well as reflecting the artist’s own rich artistic traditions. These images come from that place which is real, authentic and genuine. Both poetic and philosophical, these works articulate the artist’s fundamental beliefs and provide a new and unique outlook on life’s journey. This group of paintings, in progress for more than two years, is both thought provoking and meaningful. Orlando Agudelo-Botero has painted that which comes naturally to him and in doing so, he reveals his own unique perspective and his ability to see the world through idealistic, yet profound and fresh eyes.

The biggest problem I have right now is that I am falling in love with ETIM..
... and we are not supposed to do that. Rule #1
Perhaps admitting it is the first step.

I intend on buying more next week......LMAO..

IN later years I was the limo driver for Mick Jagger and another time for Lyndsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac during the 97 Tour. It was a pleasure and an awesome unforgettable experience working with them in such close proximity.

Perhaps the emphasis on the football during the segment was a marketing technique in the sales process. (Bait) on a larger level.
I'm in Marketing and advertising, it would seem logical to "cross sell". They need all the amo they can get in order to get the attention of the NFL. If it makes sense to the NFL or if from within the organization they can develope a demand then perhaps the commissioner of the NFL will look at it and so on.

So this is the part where we "Speculate" as they talk about in the school of finance and portfolio's....lol
What are the possible other licensing agreements?
Speculation:
Possibly
#1.The NFL, reason for statement is that they announced MLB at the end of the season and most publicity was in the off season. Therefore by that line of thought the NFL is now in the off season....
"other brand names"
ETIM is part of my budget. I put it up with the utility bills and auto expenses and just decided that if I am going to pay 3.00 a gallon for gas to go to work then might as well make it 4.00 a gallon and keep the dollar for ETIM shares....

Holding on and have a new chin strap for the ride up imho..

Have a wonderful, outstanding, glorious, salatious, deliciously awesome ETiM Weekend!

Have a good weekend.
Thanks for the chart. I think I might print it and enlarge it for a new poster and build an oak wood frame with a matt and scoop in tempered glass and mount it on an a open space in my home. It would be a great piece of Art.

and FYI to anyone that is new or doesn't read alot.
"Nearly 30 funeral homes in this region have requested contact with an EI distributor, and our agreement with Ohio Vault Company paves the way for these businesses to obtain an ongoing supply of our products," said Clint Mytych, president, Eternal Image. "The state of Ohio and the western Pennsylvania region include key metropolitan markets such as Pittsburgh, Erie, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus. Ohio Vault Works will be an excellent presence for us and we are pleased that they have committed to the line."
New blood is the word of the month.
Nice Chart!!!
Wonder what impact the NY Times article will have in the week ahead, after its had a chance to circulate a bit..
LOL
A truely amazing story, I agree.
You know, much of the information we have now that we are involved with something so unique and special has its direct values, it also increases our awareness and has provided information I or we would not have otherwise known. This ETIM experience has added value to areas of my life that were unexpected. I am glad to own the stock, but I am also glad to be a part of.

• Vukovich through the years
• Profile in courage: Vukovich, No. 18

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- There are many funny, sad and heartwarming stories about John Vukovich, as there should be for a man who touched so many lives.
A person who spends 41 years in baseball, on back fields, dugouts, buses, airplanes, restaurants and hotel rooms, is bound to earn tremendous respect and pick up a lifelong friends along the way.
That's what happened with "Vuk," who lost a second battle with cancer and passed away on Thursday at age 59.
"He was a Californian who married a Philly girl and never left," said broadcaster Chris Wheeler, who joined the organization in 1971 and considered Vukovich among his closest friends. "He loved Philadelphia because he kept saying these people are tough. He loved the area for that reason."
Vukovich, a former Phillies player and coach whose ties with the club dated to 1970, when he debuted as a Major Leaguer, was tough, too.
Diagnosed with a brain tumor in May 2001, he appeared to have recovered, proudly returning to the coaching box within two months. After more than five years of relatively good health, doctors discovered that the illness had returned after Vukovich experienced headaches and impaired vision.
In true style, Vukovich kept the news private from even his closest friends, saying everything was going to be fine. Word filtered out when he missed the Winter Meetings in Orlando in December. The family asked for and was granted privacy.
Despite recent optimism, news circulated on Wednesday within the organization that his condition had worsened, and none could hide their extreme sense of loss.
"He was a second father to me," said Greg Casterioto, 30, the Phillies' manager of public relations, likely echoing the sentiments of his generation.
"He was like a brother to me," Wheeler said, echoing the sentiments of his generation.

A passionate man who always listed family first and baseball second (a really close second), Vukovich honed the fielding of a generation of infielders and wasn't afraid to tell players how they should wear the uniform.
The term often heard was "old school."
A fixture in the organization, Vukovich spent 31 of his 41 years in the sport wearing red pinstripes. The most important were the 17 straight -- from 1988-2004 -- that he spent as a Phillies coach, working with six different managers and showing extreme loyalty to each. Vukovich will be remembered this season with a black patch sewn onto Phillies uniforms.
In 2004, he passed former bullpen coach Mike Ryan to become the longest tenured coach in team history. A career .161 hitter over parts of 10 seasons in the Major Leagues, Vukovich often joked that his "second career was much better than the first."
Though the statistics won't lie about the first, Vukovich was the embodiment of a player who survived on sterling defense, personality and heart. He knew so much about the game and how it should be played.
"It would be the greatest second career for a .161 hitter," Wheeler said. "He was a great baseball man. He was a throwback. He felt there was a way to play and wear the uniform and didn't bend."
A third baseman selected by Philadelphia in the January 1966 draft out of American River Junior College in Sacramento, Calif., Vukovich received a $10,000 bonus when he signed hours before the deadline that would've thrown him back into the pool of eligible draftees. That summer, he tooled around his sleepy hometown in a sleek new Dodge Coronet 500, his one indulgence.
"I paid $3,400 cash for it," he later said. "My dad got a new truck."
In the Minors, Vukovich won a league championship at Triple-A Eugene in 1972. He also led his league in fielding by a third baseman four times. With Eugene in 1970, he reached professional highs with 22 homers and 96 RBIs in 138 games.
He made his debut in 1970 and played parts of seven seasons with the Phillies, including the 1980 World Series championship team. He was also a member of the 1975 Reds, who won the World Series that season, and often recalled a story of how he was once pinch-hit for by manager Sparky Anderson in the first inning.
"He loved that story," Casterioto said.
On June 23, 1971, Vukovich played third base and caught the final out of Rick Wise's no-hitter.
He made a seamless transition to coaching after retiring as a player in 1981, beginning with the Cubs in 1982 and serving as a first base, third base and bench coach until leaving after the 1987 season.
While his departure created an opportunity in Philadelphia, the story of why he left is a testament to his loyalty. In fall of 1987, then-Cubs GM Dallas Green, whom Vuk had followed to Chicago, was preparing to name himself manager/GM and wanted Vukovich as his bench coach, with the intention of making Vuk the manager the following season.
Except that a funny thing happened.
"I flew into Chicago at 9 that morning and Dallas told me I was going to manage," Vukovich recalled. "I went to Tribune Tower and met with [CEO] John Madigan. Then we went back to Wrigley Field for a 5 o'clock press conference."
Less than five minutes later, Vukovich was unemployed.
"Dallas called me in and said, 'I resigned,'" Vukovich said. "He wanted me to stay and I said, 'Like hell I will.' I listened to the press conference [of Green's resignation] on the radio going to the airport."
Vukovich flew back to his home in Voorhees, N.J., and eventually landed again in Philadelphia. His coaching role with the Phillies included first base, third base and bench coach, plus coordinating Spring Training and working with the team's infielders. Vukovich got to manage the final nine games of the 1988 season, when Lee Elia was dismissed, and he went 5-4. In 1994, he was a coach for the National League All-Star team.
In 2000, he served as a coach for the MLB All-Star team that traveled to Japan, and in 2004, he was named the winner of the inaugural Dallas Green Special Achievement Award, presented by the Philadelphia chapter of The Baseball Writers Association of America for his coaching tenure.
Vukovich left the field after the 2004 season and became a special assistant to the general manager, working under Ed Wade and Pat Gillick. He and Larry Bowa are the only two men to wear a Phillies uniform at Connie Mack Stadium, Veterans Stadium and Citizens Bank Park.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bonnie Loughran, whom he met at Veterans Stadium; two children, Nicole Stolarick and Vince, and triplet granddaughters, Anna, Lena and Stella Stolarick. Vukovich is also survived by two brothers, Rich and Bill, of California.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in the memory of John Vukovich be sent to: Phillies Charities, Inc., Citizens Bank Park, One Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, PA 19148.
Contributions will be distributed to various charities as designated by the Vukovich family.

• MLB's Dupuy on DirecTV deal: 350K
Major League Baseball and DirecTV reached agreement on Thursday to extend their contract for fans to subscribe to out-of-market Major League games for seven years and partner on a Baseball Channel to be offered as part of the carrier's basic package, that channel to be launched beginning in 2009.
The deal has a window until the opening of the regular season for other providers like In Demand and DISH Network to match DirecTV's offer "at consistent rates and carriage requirements" to also continue offering MLB's Extra Innings package for the next seven years. In Demand and DISH have been a provider of the package in the past.
That means the other providers must match the non-exclusive rate DirecTV is paying MLB for the package, plus offer the new MLB Channel as part of their basic packages, said Bob DuPuy, MLB's president and chief operating officer, during a conference call on Thursday announcing the deal.
"We picked a reasonable amount of time for a decision to be made," DuPuy said. "At the same time, we wanted a fair amount of time so DirecTV would not be handicapped. The Baseball Channel is all part of it. I hope that those fans who have directed their concerns to us over the last several weeks will encourage their cable carriers to now, in fact, enlist in this package."
In the event the other providers do not match, DirecTV will have an exclusive deal for seven years to broadcast by subscription the Extra Innings package and the Baseball Channel as part of its basic package. The contract has been reported to pay MLB $700 million. Chase Carey, president and chief executive of DirecTV, declined to confirm that figure.
Carey did say that the total value of the payment to MLB would decrease if other providers matched and the deal became non-exclusive.
"It works for us on either front," he said. "You're asking what would I prefer between the two? Exclusivity would probably have been the preferred path. But we've reached an accommodation that would work either way for us."
The announcement came after months of negotiations and continues MLB's recent trend of extending broadcast deals well into the next decade.
DuPuy was careful to mention that the new agreement with DirecTV would have no impact on its current broadcast partners, including MLB.com, which offers a subscription package of out-of-market games to its customers via the Internet.
"There will be no impact on FOX, TBS and ESPN for the televising of games or products available on MLB.com," DuPuy said. "All of that will continue unimpeded."
The DirecTV deal has been approved by MLB's executive council, DuPuy said, but is still subject to the collective approval of the owners, who meet again as a group in New York this coming May.
