2010 because I think we'll still have a pretty good team next year so I don't want your guys to interfere with that! <g>
The game is an 8PM start on Sat. Sorry, you'll have to read about it Sun. morning when you get up. ;)
Thanks, EZ. Yep, this week is the big one. Hoping for a win but whatever happens, happens. No matter what, it's been & will still be a great season! Besides, the Buckeyes are just plain nuts, right? <g>
Thanks & congrats on your big win also! Saw some of your game afterwards - what was he, like 29 of 32 passing? That's incredible. Maybe he'll be the cover this week too!
I'm still a little hoarse this morning. Got home yesterday afternoon & took a 2 hr. nap. Lol! I guess these weekends take a little more out of me each year but it's still worth it.
Thank you, ksquared. Certainly as a MI fan, you watched the best half but personally, I thought the second half was much, much better! <g> It was a great day in Happy Valley and a super weekend also. Looking forward to this weekend @ the Horseshoe but I'll watch this one from the comfort of my home.
P.S. Go Blue in 2010! <g>
Uh oh. Colt McCoy on the cover of this week's SI. How superstitious are you?

Pleasure, of course! Going to the game. <g>
Don't I know it. I'm hoping that I can finally put this joke to rest:
A guy is in a bar with his dog, watching the Penn State vs. Michigan game. The Lions surprisingly manage to get a field goal and the dog barks repeatedly. The bartender looks at the dog in awe. After a while the Lions score a touchdown and the dog does flips and dances across the bar. Then, the bartender looks at the guy and says, "Man, that's amazing. What does your dog do when Penn State beats Michigan?" The guy replied, "I dunno, I've only had him 9 years."
Lol! Yeah, forget the politics. Btw, I'll be leaving early today for S.C. so in case I forget, best of luck tomorrow! Hopefully, we'll both be still unbeaten come Sunday when I return home.
Well, I just got my 2nd cup so it's a little easier now. <g>
Yep. Wow, you made me really work the eyes this morning - lots to read. Thank you! <g>
Penn State would never, ever have a Thurs. night game @ home. State College is literally in the middle of nowhere. Fans have to travel hrs. to get there - it's not like they can leave work a little early & be @ the stadium by 7.
Let's face it, those teams (home team) playing on Thurs. night usually don't draw as well (particularly TV) and need the revenue.
These Thursday night games have been killers this year. Another unbeaten bites the dust.
I don't know how these guys pushing 400 lbs. can move let alone run.
No contest, I'll take Joe. <g>
Hey there, ksquared. No, I hadn't seen that article. Thanks. It's been 12 years since we beat your team - that's long enough! <g>
Yeah, I'll be there on Sat. However, if I'm wearing a white t-shirt it'll be on top of a winter coat! I just hate to be cold. ;) Hopefully, we'll be "bouncing" many times to "Zombie Nation" just to keep warm:
Oops. I forgot you were here. Bear was never very nice to Joe. I still have nightmares watching the '79 Sugar Bowl & Joe trying to run 4 straight times up the middle from the Ala. 1 yd. line & being stopped each time! Lol!
That may have been the only year we were ever ranked #1 "during" a season.
Seriously tho, I could see an upset there. You'd think that Tenn. pride has to kick in @ some point, especially @ home.
Let's face it, no one is safe this year. It's going to be amazing if anyone remains unbeaten - just too many really good teams out there & even the have-nots are proving the "on any given weekend" thingy.
Simple gameplan - just keep the ball out of the Vol's offensive hands & let the defense win it. ;)
You guys beat Ala. on the 25th & you will sure make my list! <g>
I would have absolutely no respect for you if you hadn't said that. <g>
You watch, we'll both probably blow it & it'll be Utah & Boise State for all the marbles!
I just looked up our history. We've met 5 times with PSU winning 3 of them. We lost to you guys @ State College & beat you @ your house and we're 2-1 on a neutral field (bowls).
May as well make that 4 of 6. <g>
Hey, I was at that game! Lol! Didn't remember what it did for you. <g>
HOOK EM HORNS & WE ARE PENN STATE! Works for me Hoagie. <g>
Mock BCS standings (Week 7)
Team Avg.
1. Texas .990
2. Alabama .959
3. Penn State .885
4. USC .758
5. Texas Tech .726
6. Oklahoma .714
7. Oklahoma State .712
8. Florida .662
9. Utah .638
10. Georgia .612
11. Ohio State .591
12. BYU .573
These numbers are produced by a calculation of point values from the coaches' poll, the Harris Interactive poll, and five computer ratings (Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley, Massey and Sagarin). The best and worst computer ratings for each team are eliminated. A sixth computer rating (Wolfe) is part of the BCS formula but is not yet being published.
Maybe Auburn will hire him as their offensive coordinator. ;)
I know what you mean.
Did you know that your win on Sat. was the largest # of points(45) scored against a #1 team since 1981? Of course, I'm telling you this because the record is 48 & the holder is PSU. Pitt (and Dan Marino) was ranked #1 going into the last game of the season & we were somewhere in the top 10. The game was @ Pitt Stadium. Pitt jumped to a 14 pt. early lead in the 1st quarter and I thought it was all over. However, we scored 48 unanswered points - final score PSU 48, Pitt 14. What a game - I remember it like it was yesterday! <g>
I have a feeling that our game will be closer than that (MI is still MI) and your "win" will be much larger. Mizzou has no defense.
Maybe we should encourage KK to send that link to the MI A.D. <g>
Btw, right now PSU is a 24 pt. favorite over MI Sat. I never thought I'd se that in my lifetime! Texas by 6 over Mizzou.
Tommy Bowden fired today by Clemson:

The top 3 are the same - it differs from then on.
Yep. Btw, isn't it interesting how different the 2 polls are this week - they had been running pretty close.
From your lips...... <g>
Lol! I think the students already believe that!
It also hurts that we don't play 2 of the teams having pretty good years so far - Northwestern & Minn.
It's politics. There's a huge (yet silent) internal fight going on between Paterno & the University President, Spanier. It seems the Pres. doesn't not like the idea that he's only the second most important man on campus. ;)
And we were both right. <g>
I actually thought of that sympathy factor also. Of course, if we lose a game it's all a moot point anyway.
I just checked the 10 day & there's only 1 day of rain middle of the week. The leaves are peaking also - great time of the year. Hopefully next Sat. will be just as nice for the MI. game @ State College. Those metal bleachers are just brutal if it's cold & damp! <g>
Heading out for the day - have a great one.
Yep, we both need to win them all. There are just too many really good 1 loss teams out there. Penn State's advantage is the fact that they do not have a conference championship game - unfortunately, that fuels the schedule argument too. Three undefeated teams @ the end of the year & The Nits will be odd man out, for sure.
Not sure if you saw it but they showed Joe walking with a cane before the game. It's the first time I thought he really looked his age. Very sad picture.
Mornin' Hoagie. I think we're both sitting pretty good right now. You guys certainly have a murderous schedule coming up but from what I saw yesterday, Texas should win 'em. We need to win @ the Horseshoe in 2 weeks.
My top 5:
1. Texas
2. Alabama
3. Penn State (schedule bug-a-boo)
4. Texas tech
5. Florida
It'll be interesting to see how far the Cowboys move up. Definitely Top 10. The Big 12 is awesome this year.
