Thank you for your opinion! I value it and it is good to hear management has such confidence!
I feel your pain… my biggest investment over the years has been FCEL. I suffered through 2 reverse splits, but kept adding… having watched it go down from over $10/share prior to the reverse splits to under $0.25/share AFTER the reverse splits. At one point, despite all my averaging down, I was down 97% on paper for at that time over $20,000 invested. Then, it appeared Biden was going to win… and all of the sudden, fuel cell stocks caught fire. I start selling increments as it passed $3.00. Then sold more around $5.50… then more around $8… then bought some back on a dip back to $5.00… then sold more at $10.00 and $13.00… bought back at $8… sold more again at $13 and $16… and $22… my highest sale was at $28.61. Then it all came back to Earth. And I bought more back… anyhow, I now have over 4000 shares… about 600 less than when I started selling. And with all my profits, I now have 150 share of RKT around $22, 100 share of SFT at about $10, 340 shares of GBTC at a cost average around $23 and 85 shares of MARA at a cost average of $21. All from proceeds of selling FCEL on its run up and I only have 500 shares or so less than I did. If I had put those into more LWLG I would be elated. But it had been stuck in a range since I had bought it, so I hadn’t been paying as close attention to it.
Also, all of my holdings are in my Roth IRA… so tax free!
So with the recent technological developments LWLG has made, does anyone think we are a buyout candidate, and if so, any price predictions? Whether management has said we are not for sale would be irrelevant… good management of a small company like this should always have a price, no matter how absurdly high it might be.
I wish I had that kind of money! Kind of dwarfs my now 190 shares that I am thrilled to have! Just a small investor trying to build some wealth so I can comfortably retire in 23 years when I am approaching 70.
Awesome, thank you!
Definitely good to know! Maybe they have been selling more this morning? I sold my shares on Monday @ $12.03. 2 days too soon. But, I bought them back plus additional shares with the same funds @ $9.98 this morning. Maybe a little too soon? Anyhow, I loved the “free shares” of this gem!
By the way, I initially bought my shares about 19 months ago @ $0.75, so I have done quite well with this investment!
Thanks raf. One question. Are there ways to access weekly prescriptions from other countries? Especially once we launch in the E.U.?
Well, I do my best. I wish I lived in a place where I could buy an electric car, but no way to charge it where I currently live. So I plan on my next car being a hybrid. I do get about 36 mpg on my current car, and it isn’t a hybrid. I recycle everything I can. I set my thermostat right now in the summer (I live in central Florida) at 78 at night and up it to 83 during the day while I am at work. Turn it down to 76 when I cook though. In the winter I usually have the heat at 65 during the day and up it to 71 when I am home. Those are some of the things I do to try and best minimize my carbon consumption. I wish I lived in a place where I could install solar panels… maybe once I get a single-family home again I will be able to do that.
Warming of the oceans is the reason for the melting of the polar ice caps. Why are the oceans warming? Because the climate is warming due to the greenhouse gas emissions humans have created more and more of since the beginning of the industrial revolution and our use of fossil fuels. That might be a fifth grade explanation of it, but it is 100% factual whether you choose to believe it or not.
Totally agree... However, Du’s decision did have an immediate impact on the share price, from which we have yet to recover. Covid is the main reason for that, but you have to admit the immediate 70% drop when Du’s decision was announced was 100% “Du” to that decision.
Any idea if the Reddit group WallStreetBets is behind the move up today? If so, we could be in for a fun ride!!
Thank you for that info... it sounds lole my basic interpretation I explained while at work is correct.
Thank you for that info! Unfortunately it looks like the pharmacies were replenished with the next batch from Hikma... but it also shows they don’t have a built-up, steady supply yet either.
But again, this all goes back to the point I have been trying to make regarding why one gets so much more attention than the other... one is highly contagious... one is not.
I was not aware of what happened to Nick O’Leary (grandson of Jack Nicklaus). Michael Ojo had just come back after battling Covid and last I heard, it was believed to have been a heart issue he developed BECAUSE of Covid. But I will read the articles too... just saw what is says in the link. Ojo was a most wonderful person, with a generous heart and infectious smile. He will be greatly missed.
But CVD takes many, many years to develop, and our lifestyles tremendously contribute to it. The only way lur lifestyle contributes to Covid is because we are a social species and like to interact with others. Plus, Covid kills in a matter or weeks, not years or decades like CVD. Comparing them is really apples and oranges. JMO
I do not claim to be an expert... what is the difference then between a “pandemic” and an “epidemic”? I had always thought pandemic was something contagious, while epidemic was something that was not. Please help me understand the difference. I am not trying to create a false narrative, and AMRN is my 2nd largest holding in my portfolio, so I am all for the success of Vascepa!
I don’t disagree with that. But my point is it is an individual choice how those things are handled and not contagious. With Covid, you can make all the right choices and protect yourself, but carelessness and negligence one time by one person can pass it onto you. That is my point as to why Covid is worse. But there is also much greater opportunities for Vascepa to fight CVD than anything else out there... AND it could help people suffering from Covid too!
COVID... many people that develop CVD mostly do it by choice (diet, lack of exercise), while some it is hereditary. You can get Covid because you step into an empty elevator that an infected person stepped out of one floor above you and had coughed or sneezed while inside it, completely unbeknownst to you. CVD also develops and kills over time. Covid kills you in mere weeks.
You have to consider it was ONLY tested for people on statins, not on its own (which I think it should be) regarding Reducie-It. Also, I would rather have a celebrity that takes it doing the endorsement... and we already signed one years ago, Rick Harrison star of the show Pawn Stars. He has been used in print ads, but it would be great if he was used in a television ad as well.
CVD is not contagious, so it should be considered a global epidemic. COVID is contagious, so it is a pandemic. At least that is how I would interpret things.
You are very correct about that!
Okay... maybe the rise will be coming on my next renewal then. ??
Well that is my educated guess. We are able to sell/market it, so why not? Start filling the pharmacies with it so it is available right away. Or be ready to ship it to any pharmacy that needs it.
Common sense would lead nobody to be surprised by such. At least to me.
No I have not... at least not that I can tell... granted, a few months ago I switched my car insurance to State Farm who my Homeowners insurance is with, and by doing that, my Homeowners insurance went down about $450/yr.
The one aspect my opinion differs is that we can sell right now to anyone that desires it and is willing to pay on their own until pricing is set for those that want the government to pay for it. Granted, that number is probably quite low. But do to the need and importance of this drug, I think negotiations will move fairly quickly, especially once and agreement is reached in Germany, most others will probably pay the same or very similar amounts.
Completely disagree. If that was the case, we would have gone up a lot when his coming retirement was announced... we went down a little.
Weird how approval in Great Britain has had more of an impact on share price than the entire EU. Doesn’t make sense to me.
Cool... thank you!
Thank you to each and every one of you!
Ditto!!! I 2nd the post I am responding to!
I would agree with Kiwi... if the decision is reversed, an immediate $10 jump in share price would occur.
You need to send that information right away to Amarin.
Does anyone have an e-mail address to contact Carlos at?
Interesting!! He has been negative on us about 95% of the time over the years! Maybe he will invite Few on his show???
Thank you... it has started updating now. Hope the conference call was good!
Thank you!
Thank you!
