Acer is starting to feel like Dell did when it first first started. Expanding, evolving, and soon to follow increasing revenue.
We are showing a nice trading strength. I know I am fully invested as are many or most of us. This is new interest coming in whether from institution or private. Also, 400k shares now is the same money value as 1,000,000 shares a short time ago when we were at .50. Even though that is not much money still, at all other times before we would have pulled back by now. It's so hard to let down our guard and say this time is the real deal. The truth is that we are the worlds leader in our field with the most talent, connections and knowledge of any other company. As the market realizes who and what WAVX is and that we are growing at over 100%, by the end of next year next year our price multiple will be in the stratosphere. Whether I am writing this to reinforce my own convictions and steady my nerves after investing ludicrous amounts of money and time or just to share my enthusiasm in anticipation of sharing some real joy with all of those that have stuck it out while those around us questioned our sanity, I don't know.
I believe what he is saying is that when you have contracts and a proven stream of future earnings you can use debt instead of equity to raise new capital. We will need money as we grow. It hopefully will not come from issuing new shares. You take a loan, you eventually pay it back, and the shareholders did not have their holdings diluted.
Snackman, as you know, there is no proof of a PP. It can also be someone just taking profits or major shorting in which case it would be nice to see these people burned. The only thing I see today is downward pressure that is taking 7 cents off the price with only 50 k traded so far. It would be nice to go up the same amount on same volume. With things winding down today sellers so far are having their way with us but t would only take one large new buyer to correct this. Ending the day green today is the hope.
I hope there is no PP even though I saw the same pattern. It seems as each time we do the PP it is as if SKS is saying that we are not going higher in the short run. For me it would be a big disappointment.
Companies growing 20% year over year are considered very good. 30% is outstanding, 40% is a story. !00% like our little old Wave is way up there. I always say that because of the first six years that we have been here, we have become jaded. Taken in isolation the last four years have been an amazing growth story.
I love when volume kicks up just a little and the SP jumps. I expect another surge when shorts realize they better cover.
Thanks. I figured if it was released to the general wire we would see a secondary surge of volume.
Where did you see the media advisory? I can't find it on Schwab or Yahoo.
The next step to legitimacy would be for a respectable analyst to initiate coverage. I don't expect it until we are trading at a higher price but I have been surprised before. Todays 8k makes sense without a PR. HP does not want to endanger their relationship with current vendors nor do they want to eat crow until it is absolutely necessary and super obvious. also Wave does not want to wave competition in Dell's face. This was required by law or I believe we would not even have seen this. You can be sure HP and Wave are discussing all options.
We are all guessing at what the reason for the SP rise is. So many choices. The fact that there are so many possibilities is the reason.
Awk, agreed 1000%.eom
Maybe in the UK it is easier to look behind the curtain without fear of the SEC cutting off your head?
Weby, I agree. Many stars are aligning. It can't simply pass us by. We will capture a chunk of this market. I think that the naysayers and even ourselves cannot fathom the incredible task of holding on to the tail of a quickly changing market. Our management team, while sometimes being less than straight with us has gotten around huge obstacles to keep us at the head of the pack. They have transformed this company numerous times. Sitting in our chairs and criticizing is easy especially since all of our nerves are frayed. The truth is that we are lucky to still be in business and in a position to become a major player.
Nice close!eom
Between the Admiral and our new associates, can you say credibility, clout, real player?eom
Wave definitely wants to become a world player and is making some aggressive moves. There is so much that goes on behind the curtain that we have no idea of. Future nice surprises are a certainty. The game has just begun.
This is now a growth stock. It is not an overnight millionaire maker (That will take about two years). We are engaged and growing. The industry has turned our way. The industry is not like a little speed boat making quick turns right and left. It is like an oil tanker which takes an enormous amount of time to change course. There is no viable alternate to Wave at this time. We have seen the difficulty of changing an industry. We have hired the right people to work the Government. We can actually walk in and talk to the top brass. Not many people can say that.
I believe a huge factor has been the failure of Vista. I switched to Windows seven three months ago. It is fantastic. I would not upgrade until 7 arrived. The upgrade choices were tough to make between vista and xp prior to the upgrade. I chose a 7 beta that I will now have to replace. NO ONE WANTED VISTA. Upgrade cycles were disrupted. I see a nice growing year of business. I have no clue whether we will be at 10 or 4 in a year but I can almost say with certainty that my investment should at least double from where it is.As I get older I start to look at the real world of investment and returns. People look for four percent returns. Crazy. Even speculative returns of 20 percent is WOW. That is not why we are all hear. Sit back and relax. I disagree with the analysis posts and consumerism posts. As shown on 60 minutes, Cyber security is on the front of everyones mind.We are in the right space.
I don't understand. Everything in the CC was good except that Dell sales were slower than anticipated. Other than that everything was tremendous. Is this not correct? Upgrades, the key to our future plan doubled. Would anyone rather have three hundred thousand more from Dell eighty five cent sales and flat upgrade numbers?
HI ho, hi ho, its off to schwab I go, I go in hock to buy more stock, hi ho, hi ho, hi ho.
We all must draw our own conclusions on what we heard and what we can interpret. I for one think that if the extra govt contract was thrown in the results would have been exactly where I thought they would be. It is amazing how everyone thinks that Wave is not affected by the economic tidal wave that has capsized so many companies. The fact that our upgrades rose at a 98% level is fantastic. Acer is starting the take off, just like Dell did a year ago. Large pilots, very little chance of a PP if we are not losing money. Except for the rise in expense due to new client needs and the end of the govt contract we would now be positive. We will be in fourth quarter. The question is how much. There is now a safety in this investment that was not present before. Yes, I wanted a huge gain, big surprise, needed vacation, etc but I am now sure that I am holding a long term growth company. Once the share price becomes attached to earnings and if those earnings continue to rise 100% year over year like SKS said today, I am happy.
Is the conference call sign on info posted?
Let's see if we get a nice surge in the last half hour and end up in the green. If we show a profit and a continuing quarter to quarter rise we will start our period of steady SP growth that we have all been waiting for. Good luck to all.
If it appears revenue and profit are continuing to grow at the rate we have seen the upward potential over the next few quarters is dramatically higher than $1.60. That number may be a temporary stopping point for a few weeks but everything points to increasing earnings at an increasing rate. I also don't see the downside under $1.00.
If we get a nice pre close volume and price surge it may be a predictor of Mondays news.
Wave is now costing me extra work.
I feel compelled to go to the bank, get a cashiers check, drive to schwab, get instant credit and buy more. I thought I had made it past temptation, past keeping the secret deposits and purchases from my wife. But no, the lack of reaction to ongoing good news with no price movement has left a buying opportunity that has broken down my resolve. It must be what it is like taking a drink after kicking an addiction. Oh well.
I think tomorrow you will see aftershocks of this announcement. The implications are huge. It means Wave, Dell, seagate etc. continue to embed themselves in the center of the tpm world. It is like a stampede headed in our direction with little old Wave standing right in the middle. We hear the thunder and know it's headed our way. Others just hear the thunder.
My account purchases and times reflect yours pretty closely. I can't believe it looking back. I suspect many of our WAVX fellow crazies have a similar pattern. I also hope that we all sit around a drink one day and laugh about this.
The 9:02 announcment (here on the west coast) would have been more effective in the am. Maybe it will repeat a few times. Not sure how that works.
When I talk about insider trading I mean perhaps a company that is doing business with Wave, like Seagate, maybe apple, maybe someone who knows mobile phones will get Wave mgmt. etc. With all the companies we are dealing with it can't be avoided that some engineer or ad person will come across the fact that their company is doing business with some small (gasp) $1.00 company. Can't be! Let me check it out. Yes, it's true, a buck. Got to buy some. Hey Sam, look at this. We are going to be working with them and they are at a buck. Hey, Uncle jim....etc.
I believe this week will be a very important indication of where we are headed. The action at the end of the week seemed to be different from what we have seen in the past. If volume continues to rise on Monday instead of the usual third day fizz I will take it as confirmation that something has happened behind one of dozens of curtains and people within that hidden realm are buying. These are certainly new buyers. A few were very large purchases. Most or all overhang should be gone.
Unlike many on this board, I do not believe this will be a slow ramp up. If we are perceived to be "the upcoming technology" company of the future we will shoot up, not ramp up. A year ago very few IT managers knew what TPM's were. Now the opposite is true. Overnight we could become the only way to secure the pc. If you do not move your network to the proper security system and you are hacked, look for a new job. The speed of the dissemination of information can make a product an overnight must have. One of our Share Price run ups will not be a false start. We are at the time that it could occur NOW. It would feel just like this past Thursday and Friday. Only this time it would continue on Monday. Sorry to ramble but after ten years I am more than ready to shout "I told you so" from the rooftops.
The big positions seem to have been taken early. Up big on huge early volume. Now the little trades with no volume are nibbling away on tiny volume. At least we know what the bigger money thinks our future is. Hopefully the big buying sporatically comes in during the day. It would be nice to end up around 1.10.
Something is up!
Are we still involved with NBC, Silverlight and the NFL? "Under a deal with General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal, Silverlight is being used to air NFL Sunday night football games. It was also used to deliver Webcasts of the Beijing summer Olympics last year. Netflix Inc. uses Silverlight for its online movie rental service."
Sorry I don't have the link from the Wall Street Journal. If it is still progressing, why would we not still be on board?
Doma, don't be afraid. It won't happen.
The only possible explanation for us to be a gold sponser at the Digital ID show is a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT, one that will move a share price. If we are there just to announce another future direction it would be more than strange and a waste of money. I expect to see something large announced. It must be the new product roll out. The greatest would be the new product roll out with a large partner brought out, such as google or any of the others speculated about in regards to the one password concept. That is my hope. Other than that I agree with all the waste of money banter.
Snackman, absolutely right. Roth is a large respected firm, and they are responsible for setting the price of the PP. They then place their institutional investors into the placement that they set up. Do you think they are interested in making sure investors that they put into their own deals make money? YOu bet.
Maybe we will get a little news to help work through the PP shares hitting the market. Still about two million out there that might hit the market.
No Discount. Very impressive. eom
Nonsense! The fact is that I know many businesses that cannot get money they need in any way. Their businesses are being crippled. Banks are not lending and money is not available elsewhere. Even real estate loans are almost impossible to get. But, here is Wave, getting another 3 mill that we all take for granted. How detached some of you are from the real world. It is unbelievable that they continue to have a source of funds. Not many companies can say that. The largest companies in the country had to get money from the Govt to survive and other household names did not survive. It is in this business environment that Wave just pulled off a minor miracle. Wake up.
