Lexus Nexus Hacked!
Wave to the rescue! this is getting silly........
eom
Weby I bought QCOM in 1992.
I read an article in a Forbes publication called ASAP (i believe)about QCOM and its CDMA technology. I was convinced that CDMA would revolutionize and enhance the wireless industry in a big way. I liked what I read about Irwin Jacobs too.
So, I bought a bunch of shares. A 'bunch of shares' back then didn't require a HUGE capital commitment.
Well, that's what happened. I can say that this single investment takes care of my 'retirement' needs. Funny thing is that I don't need the QCOM investment for my retirement because I have more than enough outside of QCOM.
It really isn't about the money for me. I like to buy early stage investments and see what happens. You can call it gambling if you want. But, it sure has worked for me!
I think WAVX could be another QCOM. Hey, we will know soon enough, right? One never knows.
One thing is for sure though: one cannot win if one doesn't play! Ya gotta be on the gridiron to score the TD!
good luck
Weby in 1993 I never thought QCOM would hit
$100 in less than 10 years. And split along the way.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=QCOM&t=my
So who knows?
All I know is that Intel likes Wave technology a whole lot. And Intel has given the green light. And Intel would NEVER do this unless it had some sort of thumbs up from Mr. Softee.
Like i've been saying: It ain't called Wintel for nuthin'/eom
Doma I think the big clue here is.......................
the FACT that Intel has been strongly endorsing Wave technology in all its next generation gizmos.
IMHO, there in virtually zero probability that Intel would be doing this without "approval" from Mr. Softee.
FWIW......
Berkshires I would luv to see another 10x for............
Q1. That would be a hockey stick. Do you have a reason(s) for that "ten times factor" for Q1?
thanks
P.S. I still like Armp's revenue forecast mode...FWIW.
kant thnx.
Da Deven
could you provide a link to that article? thanks
Da Deven Would you mind providing link to the article
on Craig Werhan?
thnx.
Sheldon....pls read this article carefully.

WTP is comparable to desktops.
well, we all know that Wave is in Intel's next generation desktops.
So, why would Intel go another route with the WTP?
doesn't make sense, does it?
Would anyone care to state (as I do) that......................
Wave technology is in the Intel WTP.
I think it is and I think it is very important.
tia
i wonder what Awk thinks of the Intel WTP?
Looks like Trusted Logic is involved along with Orange and Visa. Trusted Logic is involved in TRUSTZONE.
How does all this tie together?
I am convinced that Wave is involved in the Intel WTP. To what extent, who knows?
any feedback is welcome.
Wave + Trusted Logic + Trustzone... read here:
http://www.wave.com/news/press_archive/04/040722_ARM.html
Now could there be a connection to Intel WTP?
Embassy + Trusted Logic + Intel + Trustzone
too many collaborations going on....
Intel WTP + Embassy + Trusted Logic Read here:
http://www.trusted-logic.fr/2005_press_releases/3gsm_intel.html
i know that Wave Systems and Trusted Logic are collaborators. This is yet another clue.
what do you think?
Sheldon Here is another reason why Embassy
is on the Intel WETP. Pls read this:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/02/17/wireless_trusted_platform/
Article states that the WTIP is using the same config as Intel desktops.
This means Embassy ETS!
Sheldon Thnx for your reply. It sitll sounds like
Wave System technology is in there. Otherwise, Intel has bundled another suite from another company for the WTP offering.
But....I don't see who that other company could be.
Do you know of another company that could supply all those functions in one package? Infineon?
Why would Intel put another suite on their WTP when they are putting Embassy on all their next generation notebooks/desktops etc etc?
That doesn't make sense. I think Embassy is on the Intel WTP. This is the only situation that makes sense.
What do you think?
svenm This Certicom offering uses INTC WTP
it sounds like Wave Systems is in the Intel WTP. When i read the specs on the Intel WTP it sounds like a replay of what they are offering in their next generation desktops/laptops.
Same thing.
IMHO......................
SL here is the pdf on the Intel WTP.
ftp://download.intel.com/design/pca/applicationsprocessors/whitepapers/30086801.pdf
It's got Wave ETS written all over it. I am thinking that our ETS is in this WTP by Intel.
would you agree?
tia
Sheldon do u know if we are in the INTC WTP?
we should be.
tia
doma looks like INTC is all over the map
in this product. I wonder what ETS stands for in this Certicom offering?
any idea?
tia
waverider do you know whether we are in the INTEL WTP?
tia
Doma...the TPMs is in the Schematic Drawing
at the bottom of the schemation u will see Trusted Platform Module(s).
This is really confusing stuff.
Is Wave Systems in the Intel WTP?
thanks
Barge
Pls post your IDF report in entirety.
thanks.
Barge YUP! Like I have been sayin'
it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that when INTC began putting Wave technology on all its next generation gizmos (and plastering it all over their materials!!!)....it was a CLEAR UNEQUIVACAL SIGNAL that Mr. Softee is giving the Green Signal.
It ain't called WINTEL for nuthin'!!!! INTEL AND MR. SOFTEE are connected by every joint from the toe bone to the forehead.
And, of couse, Mike Dell knew that and said, "OK BOYZ....start cranking out this Wave Stuff cause we gotta stay ahead of the pack".
HA HA HA......
C_M Adobe Software seems to be doing OK w/ MSFT
they seem to handle the dangers pretty well.
SO.....maybe we can too.
barge It is a minor miracle that HP is still in
the PC business. There is no reason they should be. IBM figured that out and so will HP.....IMHO.
Ironically, HP needs Wave Systems more than the other way around. I know that may sound preposterous but I think that HP needs to change its culture back to what it used to be with Hewlett and Packard.
In a sense, Wave Systems is closer to the original Hewlett/Packard culture than HP is today.
And so it goes.
barge Great Post! Thanx! hey...I wonder if INTEL
knew anything about this MSFT mandate? Either get your TPMs in your gizmos or forget about the little sticker on your box that says, "Designed for Microsft Windows whatever whatever"!!!
Ha Ha Ha....me thinks Intel knew the landscape and climbed aboard real fast and then INTEL decided on Wave Systems because Mr. Softee selected Wave Systems due to its interoperability/ease of use & political correctness etc etc etc.
Don't try to fight WINTEL on its turf! Wave Systems isn't fighting WINTEL. Wave Systems is facilitating WINTEL.....BUT Wave Systems is also juggling alot of balls and has ALOT OF COALS IN THE FIRE.
I am tellin' ya.....Wave Sysems is proving very agile and adept in traversing the WINTEL jungle and it is also branching out into new markets as an insurance policy.
These guys are SMART.
barge EXCELLENT NEWS! THANK YOU!
Like I've been saying, they don't call it WINTEL for nuthin'!!!
F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.!!!!!
thanks again.
Sheldon, Well...I am commenting now on your EXCELLENT
juxtuposition of variables. Good analysis. Actually, I think that SUNW is gonna be a BIG BIG player in all of this before it is Done.
the cultural affinities between Wave Systems and SUNW are pretty evident.
IMHO......
sheldon You Mean The Wave Virtual Machine (WVM)
is what all of us are really invested in???????????????
THE WAVE VIRTUAL MACHINE!
I like that alot.
wow.
escrow56 Sometimes the trees keep one from
seeing the 'forest'. I hate to make it sound so simple but it ain't called WINTEL for nothin'.
INTEL is sayin' that Wave Systems is the BEST. I ain't no techie so I can't give ya the nitty gritty as to WHY Intel has decided this way. Oh yeah....I know that Wave Systems is Interoperable, Easy to Use, and Robust. I read awk and Doma and Weby and try to understand what they say.......and maybe I understand about 60% of what they say.
BUT WHAT I DO KNOW IS that Intel doesn't do anything without conferring with Mr. Softee in a big ole way. And vice versa. And INTC has charged ahead with Wave Systems because it has to get those TPM's out there in the marketplace....and TPMs are not worth much without the ETS like capabilities that make them user worthy.
So.....INTC wants to get the TPMs out there ahead of the pack and Trusted Computing is taking off. The world needs the digital security that is embodied in the TCG methodology. We live in a very dangerous world. We need to protect our networks and keep our digital boundaries safe. Identity theft is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE thing. Terrorism is a real thing and there are those out there that want to destroy us. Protecting our digital space is VITAL in combatting these dangers and defeating these enemies. Hence, we NEED technologies like Wave Systems if we are to win this war against digital piracy and worse.
MSFT and INTC and DELL are digital behemoths that have decided that the TCG model is CORRECT. They may have slightly different perspectives/variations of what the perfect TCG related model should look like.....BUT these gorillas have now decided that the TCG model is correct and valid. So....they are going ahead with it.
Wave Systems is the ONLY pure......PURE.......TCG investment in the world today. It has devoted EVERYTHING to this dynamic and so it is a SPECTACULARLY LEVERAGED PLAY on the TCG model. If you think the TCG model is gonna explode, then Wave Systems is the most leveraged play on that thought.
INTEL has selected Wave Systems as the 'key manager'. Dell has decided it is going with Wave Systems. Lots of other clues are in the pudding.....NTRU, STM, STX, NSM, ARMHY(Trustzone) etc etc etc...
But Wave Systems is the PURE and ULTRA LEVERAGED PLAY.
May all of us Prosper.
Doma. No, you are RIGHT!
INTEL doesn't do anything without conferring w/ Mr. Softee....PERIOD.
Intel has decided to go with Wave Systems...for whatever reason. Who knows?
And that is probably why Mike Dell has gone ahead with Wave Systems. Dell doesn't do anyting in a slapstick way.
So.....IMHO, Wave Systems is gonna be in MSFT's plans.
How? Who knows? What? Who knows? When? Who knows?......
but Wave Systems is in MSFT's future plans.
IMHO...
Yanmar..There is a reason that it is called WINTEL.
It is because INTEL and Mr. Softee work side-by-side in lockstep. They know each others strategy books inside and out because they write portions of each book for the other.
Intel has selected Wave technology for its 'higher TPM related security management functions.' Why? Because it is interoperable, robust and easy................and Wave is AGNOSTIC (very helpful in the sociopolitical realm).
There is no f'n way INTEL is selecting Wave and putting Wave on all its next generation gizmos without Mr. Softee giving the THUMBS UP.
IMHO......................................
it's that simple. End of discussion. Let's move on.
gokitesurf EXCELLENT POST!
couldn't agree with you more. Q4 #s will not be anything Spectacular. Expectations should be kept low for Q4. Then, qtr after qtr this coming year...the #s will get better and better.
2006 will be VERY VERY GOOD.
2007 will be SPECTACULAR!
i still think Armp's rev. forecast is very very accurate.
Check it OUT!!!
Whitewash
and so it goes.
IMHO...Wave will be on Longhorn(e) IF.....................
Intel has anything do with it!!!!
Oh and BTW......I don't think Mike Dell would be going full speed ahead with Wave Systems unless he thought it was going to be on MSFT's agenda going forward.
IMHO....................
p.s. I wonder why they call int WINTEL?
eammonshute This is very very true.
the privacy loonies are just using that socalled 'privacy' issue in order to keep their capacity to steal intellectual property and to make illegal copies of everything/anything they can.
It is so bogus. But hey......the court system will hear them regardless.
OTOT: vh after receiving scores
of requests by fellow board members to remain and participate, I decided to stay on board. You are FULLY AWARE of this.
pls be evenhanded.....especially in your position.
thank you very much
OT:kevin_s5, in response to your post to me
could u pls provide frelevance to Wave Systems discussion?
How was the INTC/WAVX demos at the IDF? thnx for the STX news. Curious as to how the INTC/WAVX activity went in the other booth(s). thnx
