Lol!! Well then, maybe I still am a Unicorn after all. Thanks Josh. What is your take on all this? It seems like a crazy spike to me.
Okay, I am loving that I'm up huge money over the past few days, but I have no understanding why. However, a buck a share on no news is really some pie in the sky.
Cheers, and here is hoping that you are right. My inner self is telling me this is another pump and dump. Maybe I am not a Unicorn after all.
I think you’ll be able to post your wash-rinse-repeat message soon - for the fiftieth time, lol. With no info other than a better financial report and a PR, the pump has been very strong. I imagine the mm’s saw an opportunity.
Still, buying in at these prices is not bad and believe we are on our way within the year. We could get another PR at any time with a big announcement. All of those new machines are for something.
It passed my break even so now really in the green. I bought quite a bit while it was wallowing in the sevens. Whether this is it now or not doesn't matter much to me as I am in it until NASDAQ and beyond.
Lately, yes, but in the days of Apple speculation, I mean when Apple was still in Crucible and the new Apple Watch was coming out, it was like 10-20 million if I remember correctly. When it hit those numbers though, it shot up like a rocket.
I don’t know Watts at all. We have had plenty of bad encounters and disagreements. Plenty!
However, that man has spent a lifetime in the industry and he has my respect. I know that many times he was on the right side of the argument and if I had followed his lead, I’d have ten times the amount of shares that I have today. The bottom line is that I like to keep my mind open to other possibilities. Watts challenges my Unicorn outlook on everything and I need that.
That’s my take, too, but that’s all it is. We have no concrete information to back that up. GLTA
I made no reference to anyone in my post.
I am loaded with LiquidMetal stock. I want to see this succeed, but those that have followed me over the years understand that I don't like to see others being duped. All we know is the press release, and that is highly encouraging to me. I am now reading so much nonsense - anything from supplying the next iPhone frame to Tesla auto bodies. Twitter feed is being replaced with trusted sources of information. It's a free-for-all.
This stock has a potential to make me well over a million, perhaps millions. However, I don't want to do that on the backs of others through misinformation. The prior post I made about Watts cautionary interpretation was met with vile opposition, when in fact, it cannot be disproven. What if the press release just meant that orders were now being fulfilled from prior production that was closed in Lake Forest? My personal opinion is optimistic, but Watts opinion is equally valid.
I sent an email to LiquidMetal asking for clarification on the press release. There was no response. I am sure to now read a thousand reasons why that happened.
I haven't seen this kind of pump for some time. It's exciting until the dump happens, lol. They've come out of the woodwork to turn the cash machine on. Anyway, it beats months of sevens.
Where is the smart money? In the bank or invested in LQMT? That’s what I mean.
The point about the PR is that nobody has asked for clarification. We are all “just supposin’”. Sorry, but I’ve been here for years as a total optimist, a Unicorn if you will. I’ve hated so many of Watts posts that turned out to be correct, lol. He is an expert in this business and his opinions should always be considered.
I’ll write to headquarters tomorrow and see if a reply can be had.
I think it’s his take in the PR posted above rather than continuous improvement measures employed by most manufacturers. It’s a cynical perspective that could be interpreted that way for sure. His take that the production mentioned in the PR could also be current low volume contracts and they are simply reporting that they have now assumed production for those products could also be true.
However, what about all those machines? So you could take that PR to mean that those machines are set up and producing. I get the Otis reference now that he is pointing it out.
The thing is, we’ve seen Lucy pull the football out too many times. I totally understand his perspective. So where is the smart money? Has anybody written to the company for clarification on that PR?I’ve been here speculating on its meaning but failed to ask for that. That’s just stupid on my part.
Not for a high profile company that wants to make a product launch. I think that’s the profile of this announcement.
All we know is the press release above. It seems that there is a NDA in place for a product that is not publicly launched. I suspect this has nothing to do with Apple, but appreciate everyone’s digging to discover the mystery of our undisclosed customer.
No gibberish. See the press release above. We have orders to produce and regularly ship products. Shipments started last month.
Thanks for keeping expectations in check.
Thanks again for the update.
Nor the constant skeptic approach producing seven cents. Investors seem to be holding on to their shares. I believe B2F’s analysis shows positive sentiment. This puppy is drifting up until the next press release, then it’s going to shoot up like a rocket.
Another great day today as we continue to manufacture for an unidentified customer(s). There is no way to twist the press release posted above into something bad. We are now part of a supply chain. With the company not identified, I expect there is an NDA and a pending product launch.
We have been shipping product since July. What great news. Sorry to those that got caught by the surprise PR. To the investors that own shares, you might want to hold on to them. We have no idea when the next press release is coming with stellar news.
I don’t think that my heart could withstand that kind of surprise.
I took that to mean they are working toward other markets, and “orders” to be a recurring order. Perhaps your interpretation is the right one. Either way, good times ahead.
“This is a very nice bullish setup - maintaining the $0.1191 target.”
Thanks again. I am hoping investors are holding on to their shares or buying more at this point.
Yep, we are going to keep inching up on the good news. It’s time to jump back in, and for those already in, to hold ‘em. We now know that we are in production with regular shipments. We are part of a supply chain. The customer was not named indicating an NDA in place and I expect a publicized product launch. They have named all previous customers, so this mystery will be driving us to find out who it is. Somebody will dig this info out at some point, or another press release will come out. Great stuff!!
I've been seeing 4x on the ask than what is being offered for sale. Not many want to jump off at this point. Those asking want bargain prices. After months in the sevens, they just can't seem to pay a few pennies more. When the news breaks with the name of our customer, there will be a lot more demand. Competing for shares is a bad place to be, so better to load up now before the news breaks. As we saw last week, Prof. Li can surprise us at any time.
It looks like a lot of small trades to influence the share price, and thus sentiment. Let the games begin! Oh, right, they started last week right after that awesome press release (see above).
There certainly is a lot of effort to beat the share price down. This excellent surprise press release caught some off their guard. They were expecting maybe something in the third quarter. I knew that one day the cash machine would run dry and wondered who would get caught. Still, the stock is still cheap at these prices and easy to jump on board again. Short interest players - well....
It’s going to be fun to watch this rise. Nasdaq is the goal, and beyond. $30+ billion market, and we sit sweetly in the middle of it.
It’s nothing but good news ahead.
The fact is that this press release is corporate information. Management and the corporation are libel for it's content and accuracy. This is simple to understand -we are in production, products shipped in July, and it is a reoccurring order. There is no goggly gook. I am thankful my eyes can see beauty when a rose is presented for all the world to see. The company has launched.
Level 2 shows buyers want over 400,000 shares, but there are only 100,000 shares available at a higher price (except for one seller with an additional 100,000 at 22 cents). The law of supply and demand - still not enough demand to rocket this up but enough to keep it from falling? When Liquidmetal releases the company or institution name that we are supplying, I hope we see that sixty cents B2F!
It looks like money to be made. Thanks for posting this graphic. Certainly, my sentiment has changed with that press release from last week. I was concerned about the seven cents for months and no communication from management, and then pow, the press release hits. Prof. Li has proven that he doesn't communicate fluff, so that PR has extra meaning for me as a serious telegraph of our company's launch toward NASDAQ (as Prof. Li promised).
Thanks bud, that’s looking good!
How high did this stock go after Prof Li bought in? Around $0.30 cents/share, right? That was just on news of him buying in and becoming CEO. So on this press release, solid news of regular production, the potential should be at least the same. B2F, what’s your take and analysis if you don’t mind?
Medical or automotive.
Is it stamped aluminum Watts?
I thought the groves and trenching patent had to do with how the glass screen fit into the band frame.m, and something about them molded together. I am working from memory here - that’s always dangerous.
I am too busy to research stuff this week, but let me just add that I am doubtful our July sales has anything to do with Apple.
It might have been Clarke, but the elevators was in a technical article that I had read. We will see people on Mars before space elevators, and I suspect that idea will be leap-frogged by the new hybrid ramjet engine and others.
This tells a story at Level 2, asking to buy about a million shares at ten cents and below, and willing to sell are about 100,000 shares around eleven cents. Why there is anybody at all that wants to sell right now is beyond me, but it will be interesting to see how badly people want to jump back in today. Another press release can happen at any time. What a game to watch.

From the press release last week:
That’s interesting, because I am employed in the advanced manufacturing RDI sector and engineers I speak with are very aware of BMG’s. The issues have always been high volume production technologies coming up to speed, materials that are cost effective, and resistance to displace current materials. As Watts pointed out, that last barrier is a big one. Luckily, we have a manufacturing entrepreneur as our CEO driving development and innovation, and finally, sales.
We have arrived according to the press release posted above. Our contract manufacturer is shipping as of July. This is an important milestone and it will start to open more doors.
Nanotubes are another discovery material that has had a long cycle to develop production technologies. I am still waiting on elevators to space on cables made of nanotubes.
No, simply read the press release above. It’s not somebody’s imaginings. It’s official notice from the company we are in production and shipping product since July.
This tack you are on is simply wrong and uninformed.
Good catch on that phrase. I guess that could be.
It could also mean that he trusts his Eontec/Yihao company and contracted suppliers. He has experience with them.
Still, the language in the PR is a concrete communication that contracts are signed, production and shipments made, and they are working toward more.
It seems that the contract came through LiquidMetal and it’s using Eontec/Yihao as the contract manufacturer. So LQMT would receive a good portion of unit sales, not just a royalty. Unfortunately, no customer name, product, unit volume, or expected revenue was published. Given they have named every partner until this PR, there probably is a NDA in place. This could mean that it is a significant product and/or a well-known company. The NDA could mean that the product will have a launch and indicates something significant.
I am surprised this didn’t go higher, but maybe funds are clearing. I truly think this is an important telegraph of the company’s arrival.
LOL!!! Me too!!!
Thanks for giving your honest opinions. They stimulate thought and discourse here, and that's a good thing.
