That’s interesting, because I am employed in the advanced manufacturing RDI sector and engineers I speak with are very aware of BMG’s. The issues have always been high volume production technologies coming up to speed, materials that are cost effective, and resistance to displace current materials. As Watts pointed out, that last barrier is a big one. Luckily, we have a manufacturing entrepreneur as our CEO driving development and innovation, and finally, sales.

Nanotubes are another discovery material that has had a long cycle to develop production technologies. I am still waiting on elevators to space on cables made of nanotubes.
