I agree sunny...
Only God and Dr. Hayward and his cohorts and buddies know what will happen.
It would just be nice to know fairly soon if APDN is going to let us eat the carrot they've been dangling in front of our faces all this time. Or if they are going to continue to hold it out there to coax us along for a few more years...
I for one am getting hungry, and need to know if I should go looking for something else to eat or not. And to heck with whatever might be on the computer or TV at the time!
Good morning to you johnsyn...
yep..timing is very important in regards to a lot of things in life, and unfortunately we don't always end up doing the right thing at the right time.
Like just the other day I was trying to figure out how much I would have to pay in taxes if I sold some of my APDN shares, but because I waited and didn't sell any, I no longer have to worry about that. lol
C'est la vie...
I'm sure there are other reasons for the drop that only the privileged are privy to.
One thing for sure though...watching the price drop as much as it has these past few days has been way more sickening than that man regurgitating a rat video of johnsyn's. lol
Now why in the world would you even think I'd be doing a search for a man regurgitating a rat? lol
8-P
Thanks for the link though...I don't know how that guy ended up with a rat in his stomach, but it's a good thing he took that pill containing rat poison to kill it, or who knows what damage it may have done.
I think APDN needs to swallow one of those to get the rats out of their system. lol
That is exactly right...same type of people involved.
They are all milking us dry, and when they have squeezed everything they can from us, then it's off to the slaughter house we go.
Or maybe a better analogy would be Dr Hayward is like Mrs. Tweedy from the animated movie, Chicken Run. Except she has more personality.
Just calling it like I see it.
We don't know what is going on with the company. They can't tell us because of the secretive nature of their business.
All we know for sure is that the officers of the company are treating us investors like the lowly taxpayers we are. Typical penny stock shenanigans like lining their pockets with large pay raises and bonuses while the company operates at a huge loss each and every quarter.
Welcome aboard! lol
Yeah...my Bahamas condo dream went up in smoke too.
Bright side from the last few days is...
...its only money. lol
It would make my stomach feel better if it did.
P.S.
Got your messages. I was too late to edit the actual message or I would have. Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow as always.
Evidently APDN is doing their version of the limbo...
"How low can you go? How low can you go?"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limbo_(dance)
btw - this should be APDN's theme song for the day. (Hope it doesn't end up being for the week/month/year...)
That's what I was thinking.
Maybe I'll buy me a plane ticket, go to the meeting, and pack a couple of extra shoes to throw in case I don't like what I hear. lol
I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Hayward borrowed one of the pope's plexiglas shields to do his speaking behind. lol
They aren't in the mix, except on the purest and tiniest of speculations.
I think that's an excellant plan. Probably best to wait until it falls below .05 again though, and catch it on it's next swing up from there.
Terren Piezer is big money guy behind Crede. Crede financed APDN. Crede facilitates joint ventures between their portfolio companies and industry players.
I love that word "players". lol
As always...I don't know what to think...
But, if I were GSK and was going to partner up with APDN, I would want some assurance that they were going to be around for awhile.
In comes Crede to say we're backing these guys. And Crede's website states "Majority of our portfolio companies do their follow-on financing with Crede.", so to me that says that if they need to, they will provide more capital to keep APDN going until APDN can stand on their own, and I'm sure they said that same thing to GSK if there were any talks between APDN and GSK.
In fact, Dr. Hayward mentioned in his conference call "Now, on November 29, we announced around the financing with the New York City based, a credited institutional investor, Crede. The terms of the $7.5 million financing were the best in our history. The improvement in our balance sheet eliminated the going concern comment form our auditors for the first time in our history, and has been powered our ability to respond to the opportunities that your management team sees in program." (Thanks to johnsyn for providing the 400 or less words from the transcripts. )
Getting rid of the statement that says "we might not be around much longer if we don't generate some cash soon" is a huge deal in my opinion. And would be to any large company looking to partner up or use APDN's technology.
lol..I'm not saying anything...just putting coincidental information out there is all...
Crede invests 7.5 million in APDN at end of last year, beginning of this year...
Joint ventures between their portfolio companies (which APDN is now one of) and "industry players" (which I would say GSK could be classified as one of those)just happens to be Crede's "thing". (And lets give Crede a little credit, as 600 million invested in companies since 2009 is nothing to sneeze at in my opinion.)
Then Sierra comes out of nowhere with her prediction about a joint venture between APDN and GSK...
and then APDN's stock price tumbles like a snowball down a very steep hill after extremely disappointing financials, which tells me that not many people believe in that rumor. lol
OK...I guess I am back. Those folks at APDN are ticking me off. lol
One more twig for the Glaxo Joint Venture Rumor "fire"...
http://sierraworldequityreview.blogspot.com/2013/02/priceless-ingredientfinancing.html
"HEADLINE: Priceless Ingredient_Financing_ GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) To Ink Joint Venture With Fledgling Applied DNA Sciences Inc. (APDN)"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terren_Peizer
"Terren S. Peizer, chronicled by the LA Times as a financial prodigy,[1] and often called the "Zelig of Wall Street"[2] is currently the Chairman of a Los Angeles-based investment company, Crede Capital Group (CCG). Since its inception in June 2009 to December 2011, CCG has provided companies with capital commitments and funding in excess of $600 million. Peizer’s Crede Capital Group often invests in companies and then works with the companies to build a bigger business and company. In the third quarter of 2011, after investing $15 million into a portfolio company, Crede Capital then orchestrated a Joint Venture (JV) with The People's Republic of China's Communist Youth League (China Youth Goyor Technology (Beijing) Co., LTD.). China Youth League ("CYL") is a youth movement of The People's Republic of China that plays a vital role in the development of China."

"Crede (Latin): To believe with strong conviction based on careful thought and analysis.
Family Office located in Los Angeles, New York and Beijing.
Provides capital in U. S., Canadian, European, Australian and Asian markets directly to small-cap public companies with market capitalizations below $2 billion.
Since its 2009 inception, Crede has completed approximately 55 transactions committing in excess of $600 Million in capital. Transactions range from $5 Million to $50 Million.
Many portfolio companies have been cited by leading financial publications(Reuters, Bloomberg etc.).
Passive investor - does not seek Board seats or control positions.
Crede is not a hedge fund and does not accept capital from outside parties; captive capital.
Crede is focused on life sciences, healthcare, energy, natural resources, media, social media, technology and special situations.
Majority of our portfolio companies do their follow-on financing with Crede.
We arrange and structure Joint Ventures with industry players for our portfolio companies."
Will do DS.
BTW - how did you know my real name was John Boy?!
OK...I'll keep that in mind Sheppardess.
Thanks apdn1... I'm not back though...just visiting for the day.
Good to hear from all of you.
C'mon APDN - show us what you got!!
Thanks Wishful...you've been doing a great job with your DD for the group.
I'm trying to stay out of the speculating game with APDN, but evidently the draw is too great now and then.
I am resigned to the fact that I am either going to become a millionaire with this stock, or become quite a bit poorer. There will be no in between. Not for me.
Currently, I am more concerned with how long I have to wait to find out the outcome, versus what the outcome will actually end up being.
Have fun always everyone!
Hey DS..
There are definitely some dumb azzes out there, whether it is GSK or us, remains to be seen. lol
Since APDN mentioned your name sake along with Pharma, here's an interesting article about using dna as a data storage device in deep space...
http://www.centauri-dreams.org/?p=26262
no connections with APDN that I know of, but the good Dr. was the one who mentioned space. Where would they (APDN) be going with that?
Thanks johnsyn, but you've all been doing a great job. Kudos to Wishful, yip, deep space, yourself, etc.
Well...back to the shadows for me.
GLTA!!
Yep...that's what I thought. She pulls Glaxo out of thin air, and by the strangest coincidence, there just happens to be a guy who worked there who is now involved with a financial firm that has connections with APDN.
And maybe that was the thread she found to make her prediction...Mr. Brown might not have anything to do with anything between Glaxo and APDN...
As always...we will just have to wait and see.
LOL...you were right.
Hello all...just wanted to pop in to add fuel to the Glaxo rumor.
If you look at the link yip provided and click on any of the publication or patent numbers...
http://assignments.uspto.gov/assignments/q?db=pat&qt=asne&reel=&frame=&pat=&pub=&asnr=&asnri=&asne=applied+dna+sciences&asnei=&asns=
...you will see that Etico Capital, LLC is listed as an assignor/assignee on every one of them.
If you look at Etico Capitol's website's management group...
http://eticocapital.com/management-team.html
...you will see they have 5 managers, and one of them is a gentleman by the name of Jamaal Brown. If you look at his profile...
http://eticocapital.com/jamaal-brown.html
...you will see that he was an Associate at GlaxoSmithKline.
Now what are the odds that there isn't a connection between APDN and GSK, when out of the 5 managers for Etico Capital, (a company who is obviously very tight with APDN as you don't assign your patents/applications to someone else to hold onto for a couple of years unless you trust them implicitly.), 4 of those guys have been in the investment and capital funding arena for years and years, and only one of those guys is a relative newcomer to the financial industry and he just happened to work at GlaxoSmithKline within the last few years? Granted, he graduated from Wharton, so there really might not be any connection at all.
(From Wikipedia - "Wharton is widely considered to be one of the world's best business schools. Both Business Week and Financial Times have consistently ranked Wharton among the world's top institutions for business education.[4] Its undergraduate program has been ranked no. 1 in the United States by the U.S. News and World Report since the rankings' inception. Wharton's MBA program has been ranked the best in the world by the Financial Times from 2000 to 2009 and again in 2011, tied with London Business School.[5] In addition, Wharton usually receives the highest reputation scores from academics and recruiters.[6]")
But me thinks the odds that there isn't a connection would be pretty low based on how many companies there are out there that Jamaal Brown could have worked for prior to joining up with Etico. If there isn't a connection of some type between Glaxo/Etico/APDN, then Disney is right, and it is indeed a small, small world afterall.
Yeah....we don't care much for shiddy people on here.
I'll check back in a year or two to see who is still around. By then, most of us will probably be living in Ecuador, or some tropical island without internet access, but who knows.
Have fun always Deep Space (and all)!
I need to get back to work....and....besides...my work here is done.
Peace Out Everyone!
Don't be silly, Silly. Oh...wait...you can't help but be silly, because you are Silly.
I already posted what I found yesterday, yesterday. It involves a "Lord of the Flies", Gordon Gecko bunch of wannabees who are college level student members of the McIntyre Investment Institute.
From what I can tell looking through my little keyhole, these "kids" are offspring of the elusive, elite rich folks we keep talking about. They are grooming themselves (and being groomed no doubt) to become the next movers and shakers of the financial world.
Because of who they are, or rather, who they are children of, they have access to people we only wish we did. Like, Dr. James Hayward himself of all people.
You can do further researching yourself, but the group just added APDN to their portfolio in October of this year, and here is a memo from my new BFF Robert Sampson as to why they added them as a long position. Their main interest with APDN is in regards to counterfeit currency.
https://collab.itc.virginia.edu/access/content/group/dff17973-f012-465d-9e73-a05fa4456644/Research/Memos/MII%20Memos/Archive/Long/APDN%20-%20Robert%20Sampson%20_Fall%202011%20MII%20Election_.pdf
Please note that Rob mentions Dr. James Hayward several times, but in his summary, he specifically calls him Jim Hayward, as if the two know each other pretty well. (Keep in mind that Rob Sampson's hometown is Stonybrook, NY)
From the memo:
"How It Plays Out
? An increasing counterfeiting rate of 10,000% over the past 20 years has caused an increased unmet demand in forensic-quality anticounterfeiting solutions that will result in a dramatic increase in revenues.
? Jim Hayward should continue to be able to attract investor attention and secure additional funding. As with all nano-caps, there is additional
risk in terms of financing, however, currently their long-term financing prospects appear to be strong.
? APDN will continue to grow strongly YOY as key customers (central governments) utilize DNA forensic grade services. I expect
growth to abruptly increase in 2013 due to predicted time horizons from smaller, already existing central government
contracts (DOD, Bank of England). I expect revenues to multiply many times over given the nano-cap nature of the company
and the likely market.
Risks / What Signs Would Indicate We Are Wrong? Other Considerations?
? ADNAS executive board members leave. This would represent lack of insider confidence since current members are pledged to
commit their funds for many years.
? ADNAS is unable to retain the services of Jim Hayward or Ming-Hwa Liang (Chief Technology Officer). These two individuals
represent the backbone of the company.Applied DNA Sciences Inc (APDN) Memo
? A new technology emerges that is effective not only the forensic level, but also at the everyday level. This is extremely unlikely,
as my VAR contacts have discussed all foreseeable technologies with me, with a 10-year horizon."

Gekko grew up on Long Island...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stony_Brook,_New_York
Stony Brook is a hamlet (unincorporated community and census-designated place) located in the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York, which is on the North Shore of Long Island.
Coincidence??? I think NOT! LOL
Actually, I found some info yesterday that has me thinking that APDN might just turn out to be our key for that door.
For the first time since the mandate, I was truly excited about owning shares of APDN when I went to bed last night. So much so, that I woke up around 1am and couldn't get back to sleep for awhile. LOL
Wishful...you are providing great articles/info as always. Thank you for them.
Your "pretty scary" comment is exactly what I have been feeling with some of the information I have found. I haven't posted a lot of things because they only hint at the bigger picture, and there isn't a clear view as to what is actually going on.
In essence, I feel like I'm at a door, but it's locked and I don't have a key. I can see through the keyhole, but all it's telling me is that I'm obviously in some kind of a barn looking out at the land of the elite super rich, and ain't nobody on the other side opening up that door for me, no matter how loudly I pound on it. LOL
Thank you for that info L&L.
Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what is in this next financial report of APDN's, and what affect it has on the stock price.
Enjoy!
I'm being boring, and perhaps obnoxious with this, but here's a good example of the type of who knows who I look for...
I don't remember what I was looking for, but I came across this link with Applied DNA Sciences mentioned in it...
https://collab.itc.virginia.edu/wiki/mii/Associates.html
There wasn't a whole lot of info, just names like...
Matt Robertson (Coach, Applied DNA Sciences)
at the bottom of the page was a reference to MII, which I found was the McIntire Investment Institute.
http://orgs.comm.virginia.edu/mii/website/index.html
The McIntire Investment Institute (MII) is an entirely student-run long-short equity fund with a portfolio currently valued at approximately $580,000. Founded in 1994 by an endowment established by John Griffin, the Institute operates as a nonprofit organization under the McIntire Foundation.
Investment Philosophy
The Institute strives to achieve real capital appreciation through a variant perception of the market. MII believes this variant perception is gained by focusing on the key drivers of value for our investment ideas and establishing credibility with our research through exhaustive VAR (value-added research). VAR involves contacting stakeholders (including customers, suppliers, competitors, company insiders, and experts) to better understand the business we are analyzing. In short, our strategy is to long companies with a sustainable competitive advantage and short companies with unsustainable business models.
(I translated the info to mean it is a bunch of probably pretty smart, rich kids playing stock market with over half a million of other people's money. (Basically rich kids in training to be richer adults.)
One of those kids is Robert Sampson...
https://collab.itc.virginia.edu/wiki/mii/Managers.html
Robert Sampson, Vice President (rds5av@virginia.edu)
Hometown: Stony Brook, NY
Year: 4th
Major(s)/Minor: Biology (Pre-Med)
Favorite Book(s): 1984, The Great Gatsby, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Lord of the Flies, More Money Than God
Interests: Cello, Fencing, Immunology/Pathology Research, Start-ups, International Culture, Global Health, Weightlifting
MII Presentations: Baidu (short), Cadence Pharmaceuticals (long), EMC (long), Cal-Maine Foods (long), Applied DNA Sciences (long)
Rob did a presentation on going long with Applied DNA Sciences, and the group agreed and purchased over 15 thousand bucks worth of shares of APDN on Oct. 12th of this year.
https://collab.itc.virginia.edu/access/content/group/dff17973-f012-465d-9e73-a05fa4456644/Portfolio.pdf
Now ol' Rob just happens to be from Stonybrook, NY, his major is biology, and if either of those is a coincidence and not related to APDN in any way, shape, or form, I would eat my hat if I wore one.
So my guess is Rob is a rich kid of a rich adult who knows someone else in Stonybrook who really does know what is going at our most nearest and dearest penny stock company - and as a result is long APDN.
IMO
My apologies for not showing the proper excitement and distracting everyone today with my 10 share offers...
I'm not an accountant, but I do know enough about numbers to know that they never lie...
...unless...
...you want them to.
From the last 10-Q, etc...
"The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements include the accounts of the Company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Applied DNA Operations Management, Inc., APDN (B.V.I.) Inc. and Applied DNA Sciences Europe Limited. Significant inter-company transactions have been eliminated in consolidation.
Estimates
The preparation of the financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles requires management to make estimates and assumptions that affect certain reported amounts and disclosures. Accordingly, actual results could differ from those estimates."
So I prefer to try to see what exposure APDN is getting and who they are hanging out with, because I think that tells the true tale of what is happening with the company.
But...numbers are good too of course. Provided they are actual, not estimates and assumptions.
Don't get me wrong, I still think there are deep, dark intentions behind the whole War on Counterfeits, dna marking, etc., and our buddy Dr. Hayward is way deep in the murky depths I'm sure. lol
Sorry....I get called that a lot.
But I still say he is in it for himself and the money, not for any concern over people who have helped his company continue up to this point.
