I'm not an accountant, but I do know enough about numbers to know that they never lie...
...unless...
...you want them to.
From the last 10-Q, etc...
"The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements include the accounts of the Company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Applied DNA Operations Management, Inc., APDN (B.V.I.) Inc. and Applied DNA Sciences Europe Limited. Significant inter-company transactions have been eliminated in consolidation.
Estimates
The preparation of the financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles requires management to make estimates and assumptions that affect certain reported amounts and disclosures. Accordingly, actual results could differ from those estimates."
So I prefer to try to see what exposure APDN is getting and who they are hanging out with, because I think that tells the true tale of what is happening with the company.
But...numbers are good too of course. Provided they are actual, not estimates and assumptions.
