AWK...re share price...I think that when the new short numbers come out....we are going to see a bump in those numbers. IMHO This is fine....because when SKS is able to announce the next deal....there will be more rocket fuel in the reserves..not to mention ...more eye balls on our stock.
Sincerely,
Jas
Re pp......obviously....I was wrong......the manner in which the share price was walked down reminded me of the pp days. Personally....I think it would be a good idea....for the company to raise additional funds to grow the company. The trick is to do it with the least dilution.
Sincerely
Jas
Wavxmaster...re share price....This "walk down" looks and feels very familiar to me......They've brought it down and will keep it in this area......I think.....we could be seeing the last of the shelf being executed.......we shall see....
Sincerely,
Jas
Expat...nice post....
Sincerely,
Jas
Alea....re today's cnbc interview.....couple of points....
1) As I posted this morning...before the interview....I felt that today was going to be a good day irregardless of whether or not Wave released any news. The simple fact that SKS was being interviewed on the topic of the Obama's initiative in essence made little ole WAVE....THE...company to go to for this tech. This is the impression that IMHO would be left with the investment community.
2) SKS did an AWSOME job at the very limited time he had available to him......it was a nice START. Cyber security will be ONE of the HOTTEST sectors in 2011....and Wave now has a seat at that table in the eyes of the investment community thanks to today's interview. One of the hardest parts over the last few years in regards to being a wavoid has been the absolute disconnect between the accomplishments of the company regarding becoming woven into the security fabric of the next generation of security products and the dismal share price. Hopefully that imbalance will start to correct itself...and today's interview was a good start in opening some of their eyes.....There is more to security than the same old..MacAffees and Symantics of the world.
3)Yesterday's posts......I was somewhat concerned...not confused...but concerned that this was simply going to be a short ploy to hammer this stock. They needed to cover over 7 million shares with a potential huge deadline approaching created by the feds. If you go back to the post I left for AWK yesterday...I did say that IF SKS was successful in discussing certain hot topics...such as Wikileaks/TCG/SEDs...that we would blow through the 5 dollar level......well...that's exactly what happened......btw.....how did Haynes know to ask the question about Wikileaks given his lack of knowledge about TPMs???
In short....(pun intended)....Today was a GREAT day.....It allowed some long suffering Wavoids to take some profits off the table....it created a situation in which millions of shares to be traded over 5 dollars/share......but more importantly...imho....was that Wave was finally brought to the attention of the general investment community....and CLOAKED by the Obama Administration initative for secure IDs.....not too shabby!
Sincerely,
Jas
Go...with all due respect....IF SKS talks about Trusted Computing and the FEDS initiatives.....WAVE THEN BECOMES THE LEAD COMPANY FOR THE MOVEMENT!!! imho
Sincerely,
Jas
DRM...re news....For SKS to get a platform to talk about Trusted Computing IS news......Whether or not they are able to release anything today is another question. The number of eyes that will look for the FIRST time at Wave is worth a great deal....imho
Sincerely,
Jas
Awk....I really don't believe in coincidences....CNBC interviewing SKS on the SAME day that we present to Needham.....Maybe SKS is ready to FINALLY start thumping our Wave chest in regards to where Wave's technology is positioned in this entire Cybersecurity debate.....won't that be a nice change
Sincerely,
Jas
Yes he did....but not before he made a killing because he was tipped off to the article....The shorts are truly caught in a tough bind......it's now or never for them and I don't put anything past them. Now....having said this...over the long term...will it matter...of course not. Wave will succeed or fail based on their revenue growth.....no argument about that point.
Sincerely,
Jas
Awk....thanks for the heads up......call me paranoid......but I've got a gut feeling that the shorts are going to use this segment to drive us down......it's like their version of Custer's last stand......If SKS talks about the NSA/Wikileaks and the financial instituion that lost their hard drive and now is in danger to have sensitive data exposed on the internet....then we will BLOW through 5 dollars/share and never look back!!! But I just can't get away from this nagging feeling....remember when Anthony at Pacific came onto SI a few days before that Barrons piece.
Sincerely,
Jas
Given the recent stock action...last 15 minutes...one wonders if this is a SHORT plant to say something negative about the company......interesting timing if it's us tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Jas
oknpv...re last year's presentation....We saw an impressive move after the presentation. This year's story is even MORE impressive especially in light of the Wikileak scandal ....not to mention that in addition to the Auto company...Pwc has become the largest TPM user on the planet...powered by Wave. On top of this ....you add potential government mandates for TPM SED usage....and you begin to paint a very interesting picture for these institutional investors.
Sincerely,
Jas
Mumstheworld....Just out of curiosity.....why before close of tomorrow....instead of over the next couple of weeks?
Sincerely,
Jas
Re Share price....I think that those individuals who believe that the share price will follow increased revenues are missing the boat. Lets assume that Wave was a pharma company. They receive FDA approval for a new drug....and the market pushes the stock price higher simply based on potential future earnings. Wave received their version of an FDA approval back in Sept. when the NSA gave their stamp of approval to the tech of Trusted Computing. For those who are willing to do a little DD can quickly understand the HUGE ramifications of what went down in Sept. The video links that AWK posted over the weekend are a treasure trove of information for those who are willing to scratch below the surface.....imho
Sincerely,
Jas
EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH THIS VIDEO.....imho
Wavedreamer...re Trusted Computing....What is really FRUSTRATING is that when you know about the topic than your CIO ;-(
Sincerely,
Jas
Expat.....Another way of going about this discussion is to concentrate on the PC OEMs......Yesterday....Dell acquired Secureworks. This is in addition to Perot services that they acquired a year or two ago. HP acquired EDS a few years ago. There is a trend developing within this sector....PC OEMs are becoming a complete shop sort to speak. These companies (divisions) have clients who they will simply steer into the products of their parents......That's one of the reasons why I believe that the fact that we now have MULTIPLE PC OEMs shipping SEDs in LARGE volumes is a very important development.
Sincerely,
Jas
Waveytrain...re Expanded Auto deal....I believe that there are some out there who do not completely understand the significance of the recent disclosure. Here are my bullet points:
1) Wave's products work as advertised.....The company in question had nearly a year to evaluate the quality and value proposition of Wave's products. They did NOT have to proceed with the second phase of the original contract.....ie the second 30k units. The fact that they not only decided to proceed with the second phase...but to INCREASE the size and speed of which the order will be executed is VERY significant!
2) Multiple PC vendors......If one reads the first paragraph....it becomes very evident that there are at least two DIFFERENT pc OEMs supplying laptops to the Auto company. This again is rather SIGNIFICANT..........We now have a second PC OEM who is now comfortable supplying SEDs to their client. Remember that during the last CC...SKS mentioned that there was a European company who wanted SEDs but the PC OEM in question was unable to provide the laptops equipped with SEDs,
3) Cash.....Wave will receive a nice check in early Q1 which will go straight into Wave's cash reserves. This will open up interesting potentials for the usage of that cash.....imho
4) There has to be some sort of integrator working with the Auto company. imho.....If I'm correct...then this provides an interesting lab experiment for the Integrator in question. If successfully rolled out.....one would have to believe that SEDs and Wave's products could get a nice bump from this integrator on other projects.
Sincerely,
Jas
TKC....They have just become the LARGEST deployment of SEDs on the face of the planet. More importantly....the company in question has at least TWO different PC OEMs supplying the laptops equipped with SEDs.
Sincerely,
Jas
Pep...Dell just purchased a security consulting firm. Therefore....they provide another internal channel for Wave's products to come into the market place.....IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
Good morning Taxi,
Thanks for posting that article....one of the important points inthe article IMHO is that of DEVICE AUTHENTICATION.......TPM activations will help in this endeavour.
Sincerely,
Jas
DIG...RE YOUR BULLISHNESS.....You don't have to say that....I know you are. Those that think otherwise don't understand and comprehend your commentary,,,,,,don't worry about what they think! You and Telstarjohn bring a very grounded way of looking at the business which is and should be very welcomed to Wave investors.
Sincerely,
Jas
Dig....I agree with your assessment that Wave will be re-investing into growing their business. Where I would disagree with you somewhat revolves around the speed at which Trusted Computing will start to move in 2011. I think the recent revelations of Wikileaks ( regarding the files they removed from a hard drive obtained from a Bank of America device) will create a sense of urgency within the corporate world. Everyone has seen the dramatic effect this story had on the recent share price of Bank of America. Additionally.....The NSA/Feds will START to get serious about re-vamping the nation's cyber security. Finally....I would not be surprised to see another PC OEM sign a bundling deal ala Dell in 2011. If any of these comes into the realm of reality in 2011....the share price will not be in the single digits for too long...IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
Good morning Toro.....Happy New Year!!!....re your numbers....I'd like to add the following...
According to the transcripts from last Q CC Wave has closed a deal with a financial institution based in the South East that has not shown up yet in any sort of significant manner. Additionally.....there was the Lenovo client in Europe that had ordered SEDs but Lenovo was unable to deliver them.....that deal still exists and should go through as soon as Lenovo is able to supply their client with the SEDs.....Obviously....none of this revenue has shown up. Therefore.....IF Wave is unable to close ANY further deals in 2011 and their Lis. revenues from Dell remain consistent with 2010....then I would suggest that your numbers are on the lower side Having said this.....I'm in the camp that believes that SKS will re-invest the money coming in to bulk up the company to meet the increasing business opportunities. Forgo short term profitability for long term dominance!
Sincerely,
Jas
Re Thibadeau.....makes one wonder about the true value of the patents that Wave acquired
Sincerely
Jas
Mig....re selling shares....There is NOTHING wrong with taking a little profit off the table. You don't need to explain yourself to anyone! We've been through a heck of a ride the past 13 or so years....... having said that......I sincerely believe that we are at the cusp of going ballistic.........FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Ramsey.....I just read your post from this morning......I've been thinking the same thing all day. The term Partners refers to PC OEMs....nobody else imho. I believe the first deal was Dell.......the follow on deal has to be by a different PC OEM.....based on the term "PC OEM PARTNERS" I would suggest that this development is rather SIGNIFICANT for obvious reasons!!!
Sincerely,
Jas
Re expanded auto deal.....
1) VALIDATION of the technology
2) VALIDATION of the service Wave provided
3) VALIDATION of the VALUE of the SED and ERAS
4) MONEY...MONEY....MONEY....Wave receives 8 million dollars in Jan..2011
Sincerely,
Jas
Wavemaster....Re Nov/Dec....I also believe that something significant took place in Dec......Whether we are able to hear about it by years end or early jan......who knows. However...IF Wave is in a position to release news....my money would be either Tues or Wed,,,,,
The fact that we have been up rather significantly over the past 3 weeks or so and have held onto most of the gains in the face of NO news and increasing shorts is impressive to say the least.
Here's a theory...what if the increase in share price is simply the "Market" simply beginning to think about the following......Close to 450 million TPMs have been shipped and less than 100K (prior to PWC) have been activated....WHY DO THE PC OEMS CONTINUE TO SHIP A PRODUCT THAT NOBODY APPEARS TO BE USING?? Maybe they have read some of the NSA materials
Sincerely,
Jas
Matt....re Motley Fool....I seriously doubt that today's action and the mention of Wave (with one star...mind you) had anything to do with eachother...imho. I think there is a greater chance that one of the potential contracts SKS mentioned in his last CC...may have in fact......CLOSED........
Sincerely,
Jas
Ex Pat....Re USDA....I don't believe these computers have SEDs....It sounds like this is simply software encryption....FWIW. The feds have been talking about Data at rest protection for the past 4 years...unfortunately....SEDs weren't ready at that time. That situation is rapidly changing.
Sincerely,
Jas
X point....got ya.......let's not get too far ahead of the curve....how about another auto sized contract first
Sincerely
Jas
Point.....re 3 million military....this number only represents the dod and not the entire federal government. Those of us who believe the numbers that sks gave us represent the total federal opportunity in front of wave.
Sincerely
Jas
Oknpv....Re Auto maker....I don't necessarily disagree with your point. I agree that when the info gets out as to WHY the auto maker and PWC are rolling out Trusted Computing solutions...the share price WILL appreciate from current levels. My only point is that to CURRENT investors.....whether the Auto maker turns out to be F or GM....will not make a huge difference in regards to the share price.
Sincerely,
Jas
Pointandfigure...re Auto company....Whether it's GM or F....it's not going to make a significant difference in our shareprice....it's already baked in......What is of MORE importance is the payment of the next installment due at the end of Dec. This would SIGNAL to the market that the technology is being implemented well enough to continue with the contract....IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
24601...send me a pm with your email info
Sincerely,
Jas
Ronle....Im not sure I see the connection......My post was simply saying that the fundamentals will drive the future share price....nothing more or nothing less....
Sincerely,
Jas
Re stock price...While the recent action has been interesting...lets not loose too much sleep over these moves.....WE ARE AT THE VERY START OF THE TRUSTED COMPUTING REVOLUTION.
Sincerely,
Jas
CSL...thanks for your recent post. It's another dot that suggests that Trusted Computing is begining to gain traction. Yesterday's Samsung announcement in which they linked their product with Wave's Trusted drive manager was interesting....normally it's Wave linking the big boys to their PRs...and here was a rather significant company linking themselves to little old Wave Just maybe...the tide is beginning to change.
Sincerely,
Jas
Expat.....Be very careful.....you're in danger of being called a WAVOID !
Sincerely,
Jas
