But I'm guessing no connection, but where did you see about the big press conference?
Tamaulipas Energy Development promotes 11 priority projects in the sector
Plans range from the use and storage of natural gas, the port of Matamoros, as well as photovoltaic parks in marginalized regions
Victor Hugo Duran
Tampico /28.08.2023 06:21:35
By being established last week as one more entity within the government structure, the Secretariat of Energy Development in Tamaulipas promotes 11 priority projects , focused on natural gas , the development of the port of Matamoros , in addition to taking advantage of photovoltaic energy and Resources that help marginalized communities.
Said strategy was presented by the incumbent José Ramón Silva Arizabalo during the "Impulsa" Forum , organized in Mexico City by civil associations in collaboration with the Chamber of Deputies , held last Saturday, where other entities besides the private initiative gave Learn about some projects focused on innovation within the aforementioned sector.
"Within the administration of Tamaulipas, 11 important projects in the energy field that will transform the state were specified. This consolidates us through the formation of the Secretariat of Energy Development, which by centralizing its services gives us the opportunity to promote many plans, including others with landing intentions ," he stated.
Regarding natural gas, before officials from states such as Campeche, legislators and guests, he showed the natural gas liquefaction plant of New Fortress Energy in collaboration with the CFE. It will allow hydrocarbons to be transported from Altamira to Texas, with 4.1 billion dollars, plus an onshore plan in that municipality.
"This is going to allow us to put ourselves on a par with the big projects that the country receives in the Pacific ," said the official.
He highlighted the Campo Brasil underground storage system and having energy in order to avoid what happened in 2021 when a frost left the supply without. It will make it possible to cover a national security strategy and at the same time it will place Mexico among the countries with the greatest management and development in terms of the aforementioned gas.
It is joined by the relocation of the Reynosa gas pipeline. From this matter, in two months the bidding for its new site will be launched and it contemplates receiving investments with this gas resource.
Another one is to have ready the so-called port of the North that will serve the oil companies with operations in the Gulf of Mexico, including Woodside in the Trión field. In addition, Nearshoring will allow it to be the first port close to the great market that is the United States.
"The entire master plan was modified to bring renewable energy projects closer to it, more conventions focused on other needs of both Texas and Louisiana, cabotage within the country and even being able to export to Europe and Africa. The advance is 15 percent hundred ," said Silva Arizabalo.
To strengthen the vulnerable areas of the state, a photovoltaic park will be built in Tula, it is the most marginalized in our entity but it is located an hour and a half from the capital of San Luis Potosí. The Welfare Gas Stations for fishermen will be encouraged to supply fuel, with Pemex the rescue plan for some Reynosa land is being prepared as a cultural park, while with the organizations Tamer 2050 and Puerto del Norte they will encourage private capital and the headquarters of the Mexican Petroleum Congress in 2024.

Lack of pipelines limits south-southeast Mexico's access to natural gas

Gasmask that is the key question
This is a key statement..
"If we can’t satisfy the increasing demands and improve access, we will continue delaying the economic and social growth of all of the regions that currently lack natural gas and other raw materials, such as in the south and southeast of Mexico."
And Mirage's San Fernando Cactus pipeline project is MASSIVE and can address this need to get natural gas to the south and southeast of Mexico.
As noted in this article: https://www.offshore-technology.com/marketdata/san-fernando-cactus-gas-pipeline-mexico/?cf-view
The 1,609km-long, upcoming San Fernando–Cactus project will be operated by WPF Mexico Pipelines S de RL de CV. According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 8,000 active and developing pipelines worldwide, the onshore gas pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 48 inches, will start in Tamaulipas (Mexico) and ends in Chiapas (Mexico). The San Fernando–Cactus project is expected to commence operations in 2024 and will be owned by Mirage Energy.
Mexico needs to expand the natural gas network to capitalize on nearshoring
Nearshoring is encouraging the arrival of new projects and investments in the country, however, in order to better capitalize on it and allow these benefits to reach lagging communities, mainly in the southeast of the country, the expansion of the gas pipeline network is necessary. in order to facilitate access to this fuel.
In a document it mentions that even though the length of the gas pipeline network increased by more than 50% between 2011 and 2022 , the natural gas transportation infrastructure is still insufficient to guarantee supply in regions such as the south-southeast of the country.
This situation is one of the factors contributing to the industrial deficit and low competitiveness in the region. According to the analysis, the supply of natural gas in Mexico is greater than eight billion cubic feet per day, of which two thousand 203 million come from the production fields in Mexico, either by Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) or private oil companies
Therefore, almost six billion cubic feet per day are imported, that is, Mexico is dependent on gas supplies from abroad, mainly from the United States, which is why there are currently 32 gas entry points on the northern border and in the east of the country.
Due to this, 48.1% of the demand for natural gas in Mexico is concentrated in border entities in the north of the country, such as Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Sonora and Tamaulipas, so these could be the entities of greater benefit from nearshoring .
Mexico has the potential to be one of the main beneficiaries of the relocation of global value chains. However, to take advantage of this opportunity, the country requires competitive energy infrastructure. Despite the fact that between 2011 and 2022 the length of the gas pipeline network increased by more than 50%, the natural gas transportation infrastructure is still insufficient to guarantee supply in certain regions of the country such as the south-southeast, which contributes, in part, to the industrial deficit and the low competitiveness of the region”.

I’m in the Ozarks been occupied, haven’t had time to look into further but looks like all is out there for now.
Things don’t always go positive no doubt. But I tend to think of positivity for my investments and not wish them negativity
I haven’t listened to what AMLO said but pretty alarming from what I read. Imo we’ll see what transpires when the 15 days is up
As always I am rooting for positive developments here. Much has literally put his life into this company

Leaked document fans Pemex CEO exit rumors
Officials of Mexico’s federal oil company, Pemex, have denied the authenticity of a leaked document in which President Andrés Manuel López Obrador orders the replacement of CEO Octavio Romero Oropeza.
According to the document, the leader of union STPRM, Sergio Ayala Salvio, would take over. Romero is rumored to prepare a run for Tabasco governor next year on the ticket of ruling Morena party.
Officials cited by outlets such as El Economista also denied the authenticity of a video in which members of the union read the letter out loud during a meeting.
Yet, local energy news site Energía a Debate reported that anonymous sources confirmed that the Pemex administration is readying a series of financial reports and documents to complete the transfer.
Neither Pemex nor the federal government have issued an official statement on the supposed leadership change, allegedly planned for end-month.
Romero has been head of the company since the beginning of the López Obrador administration in 2018.
During this period, Pemex has experienced several scandals, including a recent series of accidents in the Campeche bay and the handling of its US$111bn debt.
Exactly and price still holding up. Just wondering what other rumors are driving the price
That was in a news article. I thought you meant rumor rumor
What rumors?
Sure is crazy until it gets cleared up. I guess anything is possible since the corruption in Mexico is unbelievable, including at Pemex.
So far the source of all the denials is Pemex. Which as of right now is controlled by Octavio, so I wouldn’t necessarily put much credence in that.
And remember when many of the news outlets said that AMLO had a heart attack? Even he as President had to put out a video to squash those rumors. And even then some said the video was fake.
There were very prominent people including politicians at that ceremony, would simply be amazing if they all got duped.
Anyway until it is cleared up officially by Mexico and I am thinking from AMLO himself, people won’t feel certain either way.
Yeah, but thanks anyway for trying
Thanks!
Now we know the significance of that Adolfo FB post on July 24/25. The appointment of Sergio has been in force since July 24
Can anyone translate the letter in this tweet? It is from AMLO

Good to see the update I posted said project to commence operations in 2024 ..means it is current information
Also hearing that several million dollars worth of pipelayers were sold yesterday. That person happens to have a contract with Pemex to lay 42 inch pipe. Uncertain if Mirage is involved but a good sign nonetheless
I haven't bought much recently, but I still have my boatload from before
