Here's what I've been saying for a couple of years now. Provision is in the Point of Sale advertising network business. It is better than pursuing selling each kiosk individually. Selling the kiosk is sort of like the television model where after a certain number of years you have to re-release a new product. I don't think the return is fantastic here.
The advertising network allows for one kiosk to be placed with returning revenue on each kiosk. If they cost $50,000 each and the total advertisements are $5,000 a month (extremely small for all agency, Brand or advertisers) they'll easily make a return after a year. Assuming they get $50,000 a month (still very modest for all advertisers) they will be profiting after a month.
The issue is and has been 1) rolling out the units en masse. 2) financing a roll out of this caliber. Their partner Kodak couldn't do this because they had their own problems. I suspect partnering with Intel will help allow this rollout. Since their IP tech is pretty solid they may even get bought out.
I don't think so. I think Provision's big problems are getting the units on the mass scale. They work awesome but needs to be done on a large scale hence the Kodak partner. They aren't going to sell individual units and I've been saying this for years. It looks like the Intel partnership is the ticket and it just needs to grow.
Daihatsu will need to also grow. But in a time when companies are trying to save money instead of spend it, I don't know if the auto-industry is growing into passenger safety. I think its a no brainer myself.
69! ;)
Lift off!
Awesome to see the dream becoming a reality :)
No, I'm just saying a company could easily pay $30 million to buy them out - which is relatively cheap. Now they're more likely to pay something like $100 million or so for the patent portfolio and other partnerships.
For a private company - sure. For a public traded one? Most likely not. A large cap stock? Even less likely. For a micro-cap stock? I think it's been done ;)
If Provision's Market cap is $2 million and a advertising contract available allows it to generate $20 million in re-occurring revenue yearly then yes it could easily be bought for 5-10x market price.
The company will say that they'll buy the shares at X price, which is usually 5x or 10xx well above the market cap.
Curt mentioned to me that they are going to release some more information regarding the Intel partnership. They anticipate the relationship "growing stronger". All that sounds pretty good. Maybe it is a hint at a buyout?
Good question!
Agreed both are different. One is still in the development and research phase. Provision is an already developed product with potential buyout near term. Intel is associated with it and I suspect we will see heavy involvement throughout the year. It's too bad about last year but it makes sense since their partner Eastman Kodak is bankrupt and didn't rollout their units. If Kodak didn't go bankrupt, I think Provision would have had all their rollouts in place now. Sucks but that's the nature of the beast.
I'm at work and can't grab any right now. Dang.
Sweet stuff! Will be marking :)
Trying to buy at $0.055 and couldn't get any! Wow!

BIG news on Intel/Rite Aid and other partners coming I feel ;)
Patents locking up the 3D kiosk market. Up until now Provision was reliant with its (now bankrupt) partner Eastman Kodak. Very wise move of Intel and Provision to start working together. This means we can see things happening MUCH sooner.
we gotta get to $0.08 today!! :)
PVHO got Gil Amelio (former Apple CEO, on AT&T board of directors) on the advisory board. 2010 Frost & Sullivan Tech of The Year Award. Good stuff ;)
Going to have to board and personal mark here! ;)
