Hi Mick,
Doing some more digging and it looks like Rexam is on the acquisition trail:

www.in-pharmatechnologist.com/news/ng.asp?id=83829
Defintiley a growth market.
Good finds.
Also have you noticed the number of hits there are if you searc Traxxec, RFID and Rexam? 99% 3rd party independent as well.
Not as far as I know.
The USP is the way they have addressed adhesion of the RFID tags to plastic. In this way the tag is permananent and thus the pakacking can be re used. The cost benefits for Rexam is an added bonus of the technology.
I think this, the patent, the feasabiltiy study with GalxoSmithKline is why Rexam signed such a long licence and that fact hat the technology was proven in the field.
Also, due to the fact that the TAG stays on the packaging (can't be knocked, washed or pulled off), the implications in healthcare are huge, including clinical trials, not to mention personal security, beauty products etc!
Mick, not sure if you noticed but Traxxec has a global patent on its technology, which is always a good sign and encouraging in my book.

“the day will come when RFID tags are not applied like a label, but are integrated into the material of packaging….The benefits to that is that it will cost less than sticking a label on, and that there is less risk that tags will be damaged, plus, there would be no delay in packaging line speed."
Manufacturing and Service Industries worldwide are on the cusp of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) transformation. Retailers, manufacturers, aerospace, defence, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies have found competitive advantage by intelligently moving the technology forward in to the business strategy playing field.
…………….a report from IC Insights that makes predictions for the worldwide market for RFID chips. The research firm projects the market will grow at an impressive annual rate of 63 percent through 2011, when revenues reach $2.3 billion and units 26.1 billion. Extract from RFID Update Feb 7th 2008
This clear trend led Traxxec Ltd to focus its resources on the application of this enabling technology in the field where they have considerable expertise, the provision of packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical industry, and to establish the best partnerships for the delivery of the best solutions. Challenges also faced the industry in using the tagged label approach……..
"The label technology is just not ready -- 10% to 12% of tags dead on arrival, and 5% to 10% more dying en route to Wal-Mart. These guys have an extra challenge in that the bottles are relatively small compared to large cases, and the FDA is very particular about labels, so they can't just cover anything on the bottle.

The principals of the company have more than twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical packaging and auto-identification industries and to-day are retained as consultants in the commercial exploitation of their IP, assigned to the company and out-licensed to Rexam plc (www.rexam.com). This will be led by recently appointed CEO Mrs Amy Scopes (amy.scopes@traxxec.com).
Development Background
1998 the application of RFID was first presented to the pharmaceutical industry
1999 installed two successful pilot implementations in the UK for evaluation purposes
2001 the application received international recognition at the Barcelona Conference. In his summing-up the conference chairman, Dr Andreas Fischer of PriceWaterhouse Coopers Consulting, made the following statement;
“In our experience every single pharmaceutical company has identified clinical supply as a critical area for immediate process re-design. At the very least companies are establishing formal quarterly meetings between supply planners and clinical to have a view of likely demand over the next six months. At the other extreme companies are looking at ways of implementing modern supply chain concepts such as MRP II and JIT with associated IT support. We have seen at this conference an example of a technology which will be used to better manage inventory throughout the supply chain”
2004 feasibility study carried out for GlaxoSmithKline
2004 FDA directive on RFID
FDA released guidelines for the implementation of RFID as the major technology to combat counterfeit drugs (COMBATING COUNTERFEIT DRUGS A Report of the Food and Drug Administration, Feb 2004
“The adoption and common use of reliable track and trace technology is feasible in 2007, and would help secure the integrity of the drug supply chain by providing an accurate drug "pedigree," which is a secure record documenting the drug was manufactured and distributed under safe and secure conditions………….Radio frequency Identification (RFID) tagging of products by manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers appears to be the most promising approach to reliable product tracking and tracing.
COMBATING COUNTERFEIT DRUGS A Report of the Food and Drug Administration (Extract)
The second significant development has been the move by Wal-Mart to require all of its suppliers to provide RFID tags at the unit level. (RFID Guidelines and Requirements for CII Pharmaceuticals)
“We have a strong belief that RFID (radio frequency identification) will transform the supply chain for both Wal-Mart/SAM’S and our suppliers. Due to that belief, Wal-Mart/SAM’S has stated our expectation to have our Pharmacy Class 2 Narcotic Suppliers utilize RFID on all products no later than March 2004. Your successful participation will spearhead our effort to fully leverage the benefits of RFID.

Traxxec Ltd
Traxxec Ltd is a company incorporated in the UK on the 7th March 2006 specifically to capitalise on its expertise and intellectual property and promote the sales of Radio Frequency enabled products, globally.
The company’s small, focused management team has considerable expertise in providing packaging solutions and developing innovative products in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, where strong relationships have been developed in both the global pharmaceutical industry and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) component sectors over a period of more than twenty years.
As has been stated earlier benefits of the application of RFID technology to this industry sector were identified more than eight years ago and, when presented to the industry, was acknowledged as the best Auto-Id system commercially available. The potential of the technology was demonstrated with two successful pilot implementations in partnership with major multi-national companies. Following on from these pilots a project report was commissioned by a major pharmaceutical company to identify the issues affecting the practical application of RFID technology. The report’s findings highlighted the weaknesses of the current methods of tag application to packaging items and, as a consequence, the management team set out to develop, patent and commercialise fully integrated RFID enabled packing products.
The first such product – a HDPE pharmaceutical grade bottle – has been produced, its intellectual property protected by a patent and has already been sold to clients in the UK and USA.
The following quotation is taken from Pharmaceutical and Medical Packing News, April 2005:
"slap-and-ship" is merely the first of four phases of RFID implementation, and only the final two will bring any benefits to the manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and other products. Slap-and-ship is a problem because it's a process that the warehouse is not designed for, and because it's manual, it creates a bottleneck….. “the day will come when RFID tags are not applied like a label, but are integrated into the material of packaging. "The benefits to that is that it will cost less than sticking a label on, and that there is less risk that tags will be damaged, plus, there would be no delay in packaging line speed."
Pharmaceutical & Medical Packaging News, April 2005
With the advent of the Traxxec/Rexam RFID enabled pill jar, that day has arrived.
Mission Statement
Traxxec is an innovative development company with advocates in Europe and the United States.
Traxxec’s small focused team develops packaging components that leverage technologies, including RFID, in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, health and beauty and other luxury FMCG manufacturers.
Traxxec’s business model is to establish protection of the Intellectual Property of its product line that it then out-licenses to international manufacturing and marketing companies, in return for royalties, consultancy contracts and referrals to end users.
Traxxec’s core competencies, other than product development, include systems design and integration, and technology consultancy delivered to a select customer base that includes its licencees, on a fee for service basis.
Traxxec’s goal is to be recognised as a leader in innovation and integration of auto-id technologies in supply chain and packaging solutions.
Business Concept
Traxxec will provide Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based systems and products to global markets, initially within the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The need for the rapid implementation of RFID by the pharmaceutical industry has been generated by recent initiatives by the Food and Drug Administration (COMBATING COUNTERFEIT DRUGS, Feb 2004) and Walmart (RFID Guidelines and Requirements for CII Pharmaceuticals).
Publication of these initiatives has obligated the pharmaceutical manufactures to deploy RFID based track and trace solutions at an expedited rate. This is therefore a new and emerging market and strong market positions established early by RFID providers will lead to significant earnings growth over the next 5 years, sustainable throughout and beyond the decade.
In addition to successfully piloted integrated systems, the current product range includes HDPE bottles, manufactured with an integral RFID transponder.
This product addresses the twin needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers, required to implement RFID, by providing a solution to ‘tagging of goods’ and the option of using existing packaging processes. Current solutions available to the market are limited to the application of tagged labels necessitating a modification to existing processes, a reduction in efficiency and an increase in cost.
The tagged bottle is a unique product that will be supported as required by the provision of RFID systems design and integration, although the product may be used in conjunction with customers’ existing legacy systems.
The Product has been developed in line with recent guidelines from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Walmart, and other packaging presentations such as blister packs and medical devices are in development.
A strategy of rapid market penetration will be adopted leveraging the extensive knowledge, experience and current networks of the global pharmaceutical industry, using pharmaceutical conferences, journals and trade shows combined with direct marketing to key customer prospects. Advocates will also be sought from groups such as regulators, retailers, and existing vendors of synergistic or complimentary services and systems, in logistics, packaging, and automation.
The company, via its first licensee, aims to achieve at least 1% market share of the global pharmaceutical market for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles, or approximately 800 million bottles per year, within 3-5 years
“the day will come when RFID tags are not applied like a label, but are integrated into the material of packaging….The benefits to that is that it will cost less than sticking a label on, and that there is less risk that tags will be damaged, plus, there would be no delay in packaging line speed."

Mick that's the problem with this stock. No sellers under 95 cents and most won't sell unitl $3 plus due to the reverse.
So the problem it has is no awareness. But if awareness comes, there is no selling pressure so this will move on air.

CRVR - Always believed in it and have been holding a while aklthough a lot less after the reverse.
They just reversed and upset everyone I htink to get rid of the history. New managemnt team in, closed down all operations except for the wholly owned subsidiary Traxxec.
Traxxec has a 15 year exclusice licnece with Rexam Plc who just bought Owens Illinois to become the worlds largest packaging company.
Traxxec prodcuce and develop RFID technology which is to be incorporated into their packaging. The company and technology os pronminent on the Rexam Plc coproate web site and corpoate broichure. All DD holds up and if you google traxxec Rexam RFID, you get all the thrid party ebdorsement and refernce.
No sellers, 33m OS, 3.3m free float. 95% owned and held by management under 144.
My guess is this could be one of those potential stocks that will fly on awareness alone as no selling pressure so buying magnified.
Dowmside,a s no sellers big gap between the bid/ask.
Any thoughts ideas would be welcome on wether worth getting more? I have all the DD to post if you think it would help?

25-Jan-2007 - Packaging giant Rexam has fixed a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip in pharmaceutical bottles in response to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommendations to make use of the technology to track products through the supply chain.
Rexam has teamed up with RFID specialists Traxxec to develop the new tracking and anticounterfeiting system, which allows users to read and write information, such as batch releases, dates, product information and operational details, onto a chip. The firms promise that the fixed tags are 100 per cent reliable and faster to read than conventional bar codes.
The company explains that plastics, at the bottom of the pill containers encapsulate the chip, keeping it away from the dose forms to avoid potential migration of toxic materials. In addition, the chip is on the primary container - in keeping with the FDA's objective of eventually moving toward unit-level tagging of drug products - and kept distance from other chips in the product batch, which should help ensure a reliable read.
"The FDA did not mandate the pharmaceutical industry to use RFID but they identified RFID as 'the most promising technology for implementing electronic track and trace in the drug and supply chain'. They expressed disappointment that the industry did not adapt it more quickly," Patrice Lewko, marketing manager at Rexam, told In-PharmaTechnologist.com.
The market for this type of e-smart technology marketing pharmaceutical packaging is being driven by the need for new clinical trial compliance and brand protection measures, creating a market valued at $18 million in 2005. And it will potentially reach to $464.8 million in 2012, according to a Frost & Sullivan report.
The pharmaceutical industry is particularly sensitive to security issues within the supply chain and therefore potentially has a lot to gain from this track-and-trace technology. Some companies are already adopting RFID for part of their pharmaceutical production and distribution on a widespread basis - Pfizer, for example, is using RFID to track-and-tracesupplies of its erectile dysfunction drug Viagra (sildenafil), which has become a target for counterfeiters.
Despite the reluctance of drug manufacturers to incorporate RFID in their packaging operations, RFID guru Peter Harrop, chairman of the consultancy IDTechEx, told In-PharmaTechnologist.com that he believes the benefits in patience compliance, fighting counterfeits and managing the supply chain will quickly prevail over industry's concern over the technology's costs.
One thought for everyone:
Not sure if this has been picked up but the Traxxec technologfy is specific, hence the patent, becasue they have found the way of fixing tags to bottles permanently. Previously tags were stuck or simply using glue. Not satisfactory especially for healthcare as the tags could be knocked off or just fell off with time. This is hwy RFID has massice potential but to date not taken off as a total solution.
Traxxec's solution permananetly fixes the RFID tag to the bottles and packaing in general so that the bottles can be recycled and the data recorded is specific to bottles - tamper proof if you like- and address the issue.
This is good if you think aboyut all the applciaitns and prodcuts that need to be tagged, especially in healthcare - bottles, products, equipment, even patients but I don't advocate tagging patients permanently!
POD
Totally agree especially about the good topics and content here today.
I for one would like to see some information about the projections and plans with Rexam and also if they intend to use their technology with other companies and products. RFID is not just for bottles and packaging and not exclusive to the Healthcare industry.

I'm in anyone else!
Here's my response from Traxxec. It looks like they are sending out a corporate response to cover all enquiries which is the usual pracice with Corps - a briefing pack if you like.
Dear XXXXXXXX,
Thank you for your enquiry; all of the information you requested (and more)is contained in a reply I sent to another enquirer. Please find my reply to him below:
Reply per pro Mrs Amy Scopes
Dear Mr XXXXXXXX,
I am pleased you have found the website interesting but I am disappointed that you have shown no direct interest in the opportunity the business model offers you with your investment.
On January 6th 2008 you e-mailed the enquiry desk, without any declaration or disclosure of interest, other than to say that you were intrigued that Traxxec had been “acquired” by Medify Solutions. In good faith, a reply was sent to you explaining that Traxxec had not been acquired by Medify Solutions and I confirm that there is no commercial connection with any company, other than Rexam by a patent exclusive license agreement, including Medify or any other companies. Understandably I am not able to comment on any historical company or procedure that this company was not part of.
Traxxec was acquired by CRVR which is the parent. Traxxec is, following re-structure and re-organisation the sole operational activity of CRVR and the existing management team and board were replaced with immediate effect by the Board of Traxxec at the closing of the Medify Business.
Your e-mail sent on 4th March 2008 to which I am replying contains, fundamentally, your opinion of the “protocols” that the company should have followed and, whilst the company is pleased to consider opinion for the betterment of its performance, it is only opinion.
Website To enable a better understanding of the business model the website was specifically written to inform shareholders and prospective investors and to invite enquiry. To that end I think we have achieved our goal.
Your assertion that full bios of all principals of any publicly traded company are included on their web-site is completely without foundation. In our parochial situation there is no mention of the Managing Director of Rexam Pharma who was the executive officer who signed the license agreement nor is there any mention of the legal team who were principal in preparing the agreement. In the case of our development partners, neither of their sites include bios of the managing director and the vice president who signed the confidentiality agreements or letters of intent to commit their employer to work jointly on a development programme and neither do they include bios of the management team or advocates or members of the board, executive or advisory. However, Mrs Scopes will be considering whether to include a short bio in the website.
Founders To my knowledge, there is no mention on the website of a founder. Throughout there is mention of the founders (plural) and this term of reference, as is commonly found with Research and Development companies, is used in its generic definition of those who bring in to being, or establish, to build or establish the foundation of – def. Collins Concise. As such, in the development of the product and in arriving at the agreement with Rexam considerable expertise has been employed. This ranges from test/evaluation facilities such as TWI (www.twi.co.uk) – you will note there are no bios of the principals of the organisation – manufacturing facilities, small, private development companies and consultancies such as Climate Group Holdings, Clinical Mangement Telemetrics and the Centre for Healthcare Innovation and Design. One such consultancy has been retained to fulfil the license agreement Article 8 – TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. As has been mentioned in response to other enquirers, most work carried out in R and D is covered by a Confidentiality Agreement and with Rexam it is Article 9. – CONFIDENTIALITY that states, amongst other specifics, the parties undertake to maintain confidentiality concerning all information relating to this agreement that is not already in the public domain. Of the highest importance, the Patent and license agreement is owned by Traxxec, and hence Columbia River Resources Inc., and covers all the intellectual property pertinent to the finished RFID technology that is supplied to Rexam i.e. – CRVR/Traxxec own the patent on the completed product that uses the combined technologies.
Confidentiality All development work for the Radio Frequency Enabled Bottle has been carried out under such confidentiality. By way of explanation, the drug you buy from a major pharmaceutical company has possibly never been on a facility of that company during its cradle to grave history from drug discovery, through the phases of clinical trials, formulation, packing and distribution. The work has been out-sourced and covered by various agreements, including (possibly) in the early stages, payment by future royalty from sales under license. The product we supplied to a pharmaceutical company in the US was supplied under such terms and conditions and confidentiality; the bottle, ordered and specified by the pharma company, was manufactured in Europe, delivered to a US formulation company who packed the drug in to the primary pack where it was delivered to another contract organisation for packing in patient kits for distribution to patients etc etc. I notice from your e-mail address that you are possibly based on the West Coast where there is a focus on bio-tech and research companies, including our client, all working under similar arrangements and the strictest terms of confidentiality.
RFID Generally, the application of this technology is an integration of software, hardware and systems design and each part of the whole is supplied by an expert in its field – the microchip by, say, Philips, the suitable and robust packaging of the chip by Sokymat, readers by Nordic and software by Germane Systems Ltd. Germane Systems Ltd had been retained by the company to provide the technical assistance and support agreed in the license agreement with Rexam – this is a billable item. This is a systems integration company that has worked in auto-id for the last eight years and previously on projects such as the implementation of software and hardware for the X-ray facility at Schiphol airport. The company also provided the Quality Control and Quality Assurance software for the production of the bottles supplied in the US, Eu and to Rexam.
Amy Scopes Amy was born in St. Asaph, North Wales, UK and is 37 years of age, married with three children. She was the ideal candidate for the position of CEO having previously been employed by CGH in a senior management position and having directly implemented a product licensing agreement to supply the National Pharmaceutical Association with an innovative packaging solution for monitored dosage systems for residential and domiciliary use.
She has been employed by this SME since 1998. During the time she was employed by the company she had direct contact with many of the manufacturing sub-contractors and developers as well as with the technology consultancies giving a continuity of relationship with “the founders”.
Pink Sheets We fully agree with your opinion that the “STOP” category is not beneficial to the Company, and believe it is a poor representation of the potential offered by our Company. The process of upgrading to Current Information is one in which, I am informed, we are actively involved. In truth, the Company expects to upgrade to this category only briefly, before moving to OTCQX.
From your comments it appears you have never been involved in this process, so please allow me to explain the procedures we are currently following. These procedures are fully outlined on the Pink Sheets site, www.pinksheets.com. Initially the Issuer, in this case Traxxec parent company Columbia River Resources Inc, must subscribe to OTCIQ. This is the “Back end” of Pink Sheets and allows the issuer to post information to the Pink Sheets page, and to edit company information. The previous incumbents had not even completed this basic step.
We anticipate that we will be subscribed by Monday next week.
After subscribing to OTCIQ the Issuer is then required, if they wish to upgrade their disclosure category, to complete and post disclosure documents. This document is in final draft stage internally, and will be published as soon as possible. Pink Sheets review this document, along with an Attorney letter supporting the disclosure statement, and either approve the upgrade or request further information.
On completion and approval of the upgrade to Pink Sheets Current Information the Company then has the option of paying a further subscription fee and upgrading to OTC QX, the highest tier of Pink Sheets. This decision will be considered at the appropriate time.
I trust this reply in good faith to essentially an unqualified approach is satisfactory and I repeat the offer in my reply to your e-mail in January that, if you wish to disclose your level of interest in this company and require further, appropriate, confidential information please do not hesitate to contact me.
The level of enquiry is extremely high and this pasted document is virtually a corporate template.
Sincerely,
Marie Mear

Well the rumour is that Cannonball is going to launch a Cannonball motor boat race! Now that would be fun! Imaginme racing arund the Greek islands or from Naples to Sardinia, or first one round Ibiza and Menorca wins!!!
Let you know if I get anything positive but these guys sure have some big plans.

PS. I did hear a rumour which I will put in a separate Post.
Good Morning Bob.
Yes you can update the basic information but the system has changed so no you can't put up the informaiton in 5 minutes.
You now have to apply for the CI status and it is commonn knowledge it costs $3000 charged direclty by Pinks. For this any company can post information satements, PR, financials, updates etc.
But there is a formal applcition which has to be approved by Pink Sheets and there has to be an Attorney letter to verify. So I assume that they are gathering all the information for that process.
I think that the fact they have put up as much information on Pinks as they can already is good. And if, as they say, they are applying for CI, I think it is all good and for only 3/4 in days the information flow and actions so far have been OK.

- Project managed transition to IP network
- Tailored VoIP solution for all sites
- Flexible and low administration costs
Project Managed VoIP transition programmeFollowing the success of implementing this solution for another area and the obvious potential operational savings relating to the obsolete need for TDM Legacy equipment, as well as the operational efficiencies of the telephone system, National Probation Service - Staffordshire Area wish to roll out Convergence Technologies Group's IP solution to all of their sites.
Business Challenge
Convergence prompted the customer to look at their voice and data network to see how operational improvements could be identified. After consultations it was clear a VoIP based solution met their requirements to invest in a flexible, future proof telephone system which could form the platform for creating seamless communication of voice and data between all sites.
The Solution
The Area HQ located in Stafford, forms the pilot site for this IP based solution. A process of consultation identified the existing network and telephone infrastructure across all sites together with business and operational needs. This enabled a tailored long term solution to be delivered. Initial contract value is $42 000.00 for the HQ with 4 additional sites to follow.
The data security specifications of the Home Office require that each central government agency area operate on an independent network. An independent network will be configured and installed based on a managed power over ethernet network switches. From this 5 IP handsets and 70 desk user sets through a new Splicecom Maximiser telephone system will be installed.
Ian Hewitt, the Business Support manager for the Staffordshire Area comments "The development of an I.P. solution was an unknown journey for our organisation, but with effective planning and dedicated support we now look forward to achieving our roll-out programme across Staffordshire with Voice 2 Voice as our partners".
Equipment List
Splicecom Maximiser
