Seabreezing, GREAT POST! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR WORK!
homey, you are welcome. Benzdealer's post has a nice summary of STEW.
SRSR, the best stock of the year!
Homey, I just read the link and it looks like STEW is a major international player and broker, suggesting bigger moneycoming into the stock and more exposure. I think the other posters would be able to add more. I want to again express my thanks to this whole board for the DD, energy, enthusiasm and camaraderie. The greatest board on IHUB by far!
If we hit it big like all of us are hoping, I may take a vacation up in Northern Ontario and look at our properties nd mines. Maybe some of us on the board can make it a big fishing and camping party and Howard can bring the refreshments.
Thanks, Homey, enjoy your posts also.
AAA, thanks for your informative posts. Where can I get a set of those coins which you have on your postings? I would like to get a set for my daughter's graduation. Much appreciated.
Anaheim Ducks rule!
In that Taseko PR in November, it listed the price of niobium as $30/kg. Since one kg is 2.2 pounds, wouldn't that make the price of niobium slightly less than $14/lb.? That would mean that the price of nniobium has doubled in the last five months.
Surfkast, I and most others appreciate your work greatly.
Even if he didn't have a good relationship with his father (I also have never heard anything about that), the fact is that he grew up in a lustrous mining family, and must have absorbed a tremendous amount of knowledge. Furthermore, he has 20 years of his own experience in the industry himself. Finally, he had the good judgment to hire a top geologist, Dr. Cheriton. Add to that a bevy of fine properties and good connections, I don't think we have much to worry about.
Thank you, seabiscuit, excellent and well thought out post.
TechKim, my reading of this is that they are going to continue to hold (withhold) dividends, as they haver been doing in the past year. I am a long-term long and am very disappointed and discouraged at this point.
The only satisfaction I'll get is if I get all my money back plus interest
Cyclone, where can I get those icons? I like the tweety moving its head from side to side. Thanks
Interesting post by military books, but I have a couple of questions. First, why is the USPTO a "non-issue." To me, it seems very much an issue. Second, this post was rather glowing, so why is the stock still considered so risky if all the developments are so positive? To me, the behavior of this stock has defied all logic, common sense and fundamentals. Every time we get good news and our hopes are raised, the share price dashes the hopes.
I lived in Victoria for awhile, the best of Canada! Great weather, great people, great culture. I wonder how much niobium and tantulum lie underneath?
Jim, I hope Scott reads this board and diversifies with the purchase of some tantulum properties as well. Of course, since tantalum is so closely associiated with niobium, we may have enough already.
Time, I think your idea makes a lot of sense but is only a possibility, not a probablility. I think it would be the best alternative for us shareholders.
Lakahuna, the reality is that the stock did not go down to .05 and it seems that every time there is a rally he brings negativity to the board. I don't find his comments to be especially constructive, and this is a very positive board. I was being very sarcastic the other day towards him. We have many positive contributors to this board, with a great deal of highly useful DD and sharing. His motives are suspect.
TA is useful, but FA is the ticket here. I was in China two years ago, and the construction and catchup going on there is incredible. I never saw so many huge skyscrapers in my life as in Shanghai, especially the Pudong area. The national bird is affectionately known as the crane. Steel and cement are the kings, and guess what we have to make the steel more effective, niobium and tantalum. On top of that, our minerals are among the rarest. I believe one of the biggest mistakes an investor here can make is trying to buy at the bid, rather than the ask, and miss out on accumulation.
Spark, good DD. Note the other comment in the same paragraph about the supply of niobium limited to Brazil. What an opportunity for us!
If this works out as we all think it will, how about a celebration, like a fishing party at the lake?
Don't forget tantalum, more than icing on the cake. Forget the gold coins, it's niobium and tantulum coins for me, and then I can visit Howard!
Jim6103, thank you for all your DD and great info. I just want to remind all of our board members that our company is very diversified, with several exciting properties and a variety of metals. While the projections are mainly based on Niobium,, what makes this an especially good investment, in my opinion, is the anount of other metals, both precious and base, that our properties apparently contain, although still not proven up.
Very good post, aimgator.
Notice in the shareholders letter that the buyback is up to 35%. That could mean 1% or less, not a guaranteed 35%. I am a long, but these lettters must be read critically and carefully.
Clip, thanks for the sage advice and warnings. It is nice to have someone on the board who truly cares about others and is so unselfish. Have you ever heard the hit song of the Jonas Brothers, "The Year 3000." I think you are overly optimistic in your projections of only 2-3 years. I have the patience to wait for the next millennium. I genuinely appreciate the balance you give to this board.
Howard, I agree with much of what you say, but I don't spoil my kids, and I set proper and consistent limits. I believe that should apply to grandchildren also. However, I confess to planning to buy my fourteen year old some niobium and tantulum coins for her birthday, but only if lets me invest more in SRSR.
Regarding the comments on education, if we really want to reform our educational system, we have to have a reformation in our values, which I don't see coming. They have been sounding alarms on our educatonal system for at least thirty years, and it is getting progressively worse. Why? Because education is not a value in the U.S. for most people. Celebrity, entertainers, and athletes trump intellectuals every time. A good student is considered a nerd or a bookworm. The prettiest girls go with the football star, not the valedictorian. Teachers are not respected or revered like in China and India. College students are more interested in parties, sports, and getting drunk than in learning. "Sue they neighbor" and "you only judge a book by its cover" are the watchwords. I'll bet most people will not like hearing all this, but it must be said. On a lighter note, Go SRSR! We have a winner here.
euniverse1, good to see you here. May we all prosper!
Thank you, number 1.
Number1, I posted a message over the weekend and posed some questions to you. I would appreciate an answer. thank you.
Pennies, I agree totally. Scott is a class act and a very smart guy. He is in the same boat as we in terms of being a shareholder, albeit with a much larger position. We are in good hands indeed.
Oil Can, you have 4-5 weeks or more. The report will not be out in two weeks, it was anticipated in 4-5 weeks, but that is just an estimate.
The most negative thing for me is that I didn't get in early enough.
Great point, Tony. Scott has all the bases covered. I'm not forgetting, I'm accumulating. I have enjoyed the board today because I am down with the flu and have to stay home. The good DD is cheering me up and stimulating my immune system. Some clever jokes from Howard would be appreciated.
Great DD, starpicker, Jim, cmzio, et al. Have any of you thought of buying paper stocks because of all the paper bags we'll be needing, LOL. On a more serious note, when our reserves are proven up, it would be a good time to alert Bill Serjak, the famous tantalum and niobium analyst mentioned in the article, of what we have. That would be a good job for Brass Bulls.
euniverse1, I have had the same experience with so many reverse splits these last few months. I think it is the chief danger with subpennies, and that's why I am upgrading my portfolio now.
Nmbr1, where is the evidence that things are progressing? I am a long-term long and the stock is stagnating, going lower and lower with decreasing volume. There have been no significant recent PRs. You seem to be always optimistic, but where is the beef? There seems to be a lot of potential, but so far, that's all it is. Otherwise, the stock would not act this way.
