Oil and Gasoline prices vrs being FULLY INVESTED...
Everyone seems to miss same two facts about oil prices... Industrial use of oil is a factor in the pricing of product but not it's profitability... Energy prices are part of the products produced and are global in thier application... Oil prices are the same worldwide,, therefore the price of oil is almost a non issue because all product produced contains the same amount of petroleum product...Polyesters are an example and competitive pricing of product is influenced by labor and not raw materials... China costs are the same for raw materials from oil as are the costs here at home... Auto use from the cost per gallon has actually come down on a miles per gallon cost... My Corvette gets 32 miles per gallon on the highway at 65 MPH... And it is not considered an economy car... Mandated MPG efficacy have reduced driving cost over the years even when including the increased price of gasoline.. Oil prices are not the political football as once portrayed because the rise in oil prices have not caused the economic discrepancy as once thought... If product costs contain the same components worldwide that ingredient (oil) has no effect on it's profitability...Try buying tee shirts at Walmart and you will find manufacturing from 3'rd world that even China can't compete with... These 3'rd world producers lack natural resources as basic as water...Oil in this case is a cost of materials common to all producers and the products final price is it's fixed price raw materials plus it's manufacturing process with labor being the highest variable... As for what percentage to be invested... I am close to being 100% invested and over 70% is now in oil related stocks...The value of my positions will continue to have high betas but as long as Wall Street analysis continue to base thier projections on below $40.00 oil I feel confident that my positions real earnings will exceed any projections... hank

22.03.05 09:59 DNO NABRAJAH-5 DRILLING UPDATE andre børsmeldinger
Nabrajah # 5 has now reached the basement level. In the
interval immediately above basement (Kholan) and in the
basement itself, strong indications of hydrocarbons have
been observed while drilling. The well will be deepened
further into basement before running electrical logs.
Following further evaluations of the observations so far
and evaluation of the electrical logs, a test program for
the well will be decided.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nabrajah-5 in Block 43 Yemen has top Qishn target 1.5 km
south of the Nabrajah # 4 discovery. As previously reported
preliminary results from logging indicated that the Qishn
S1A sand contains hydrocarbon in thin sand beds with
relatively poor reservoir quality. The Qishn S2 sand is
water bearing. Interesting hydrocarbon indications and log
responses were also observed in the Saar formation
carbonates. This zone is producing oil in the neighboring
blocks 10 and 14.
An additional well objective was to appraise the gas
discovery in Nabrajah # 2. If gas is proved in basement in
Nabrajah # 5 the well is planned to be completed as a gas
producer. The gas will be utilized on the Nabrajah Field to
replace diesel to run generators. This has potential
savings on operating costs and for comparison the current
annual diesel consumption on Tasour Field in the range of
USD 5 million.
As of this morning Nabrajah # 5 has reached a depth of
2.775 meters, which is some 125 meters into basement. In
the Kholan interval immediately above basement strong
hydrocarbon indications were observed during drilling.
Preliminary evaluations confirm the presence of heavier
components, which indicates oil. Further evaluations as
well as testing would be required to confirm the nature of
these hydrocarbons and if the hydrocarbons are movable.
Strong hydrocarbon indications have also been observed
while drilling the fractured section in the basement, which
is the interval carrying the movable hydrocarobons in the
basement within the area. The latest successful basement
wells in the neighboring blocks have been capable of
producing oil in the range of 800 - 10000 bopd.
The forward plan is to drill further into the basement
interval and to run electrical logs. Following further
evaluations of the observations so far and evaluation of
the electrical logs, a test program for the well will be
decided.

Grifco International Signs LOI to Acquire Coil Tubing Company
Grifco International, Inc.Friday, March 18, 2005
Grifco International has signed a letter of intent to acquire a Texas-based coil tubing company. The acquisition candidate concentrates on four categories of coil tubing applications: thru tubing fishing, thru tubing work over, coil tubing drilling, and pipeline clean out.
The acquisition candidate recently developed a jetting tool to clean down hole well bores, a market estimated to exceed $100 million per year. The patented jetting tool is capable of removing barium, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, cement, coke tar, filter cake and iron sulfides from the bores of oil wells. During the process of developing and improving the jetting tool, the company created a "Jet Motor."
The patent-pending Jet Motor design was crafted without elastomers, making it unique among down hole motors on the market today. The tool is short, an advantage in thru tubing operation. Additionally, most motors have a temperature range which affect operation; the Jet Motor is not affected by the heat associated with down hole operation.
The acquisition candidate manufactures a Rotating Tool (mechanically induced rotation which provides rotational alignment to reduce or eliminate the need to work the tool, thus reducing pipe stress and fatigue. The tool maximizes acceleration to a jarring device either in the up or down stroke. Additionally, the company manufactures an energy-storing device in which stored energy is released instantaneously, accelerating the velocity of the string above the jarring mechanism, intensifying the impact in the hole.
The worldwide thru tubing motor industry exceeds $500 million annually. Grifco International estimates the addition of the product line will increase revenue in the first year of operation by as much as $20 million.
"At this time, GFCI has elected to forego naming the acquisition candidate until the due diligence process on inventory, assets, and technology is complete and the definitive acquisition agreement is signed. The due diligence process should be completed and the definitive agreement signed within sixty days," said Jim Dial, President and CEO of Grifco International

February Production and Yemen drilling update from DNO
Posted Tuesday, March 15, 2005
DNO achieved an oil production of 14.426 BOPD in February.
Preliminary results from evaluation of electrical logs indicate that the Tasour # 17 encountered non-movable hydrocarbons at Qishn level.
February production:
The February oil production for Norway and Yemen was as follows (BOPD):
--------------February--------- Year to date
Norway------- 1.904---------------- 1.614
Yemen -------12.522 --------------12.660
Total-------- 14.426-------------- 14.274
The production in February increased by 285 BOPD compared to January. The increase is mainly caused by higher production from Glitne which is due to that the gas compressor problem was resolved towards the end of January. An oil production of 14.274 BOPD for the first two months is in line with DNO's expectations.
Tasour # 17 preliminary drilling results:
Tasour # 17 was drilled on a separate structure east of the main Tasour Field. The well was drilled to a total depth of 1.904 meters. Hydrocarbon shows were observed during drilling the Qishn S1A level, however preliminary evaluation of electrical logs indicate that the hydrocarbons are non-movable. The forward plan is to further investigate the preliminary evaluation results with respect to the prospectivety of the eastern area of the Tasour Field. DNO is also currently undertaking a regional study on deeper targets, including basement potential, and subsequent to this Tasour # 17 may be re-entered. The well will therefore be suspended and preserved as a possible future drilling location. The rig will now be moved to Block 53 to drill two infill / development wells on the Sharyoof Field. Thereafter the rig will return to Block 32 to drill one Tasour development well and one exploration well within Block 32.....hank

Another announcement and another failure to soak up all the stock for sale... When will all learn and when will someone find information about this now $0.00 to $5,000,000.00 run rate per quarter oil services company with earnings created prior to having any office or facilities,,,This instant earnings company now has a new twist...To announce now that a $100,000,000 potential exists with the new company acquired with out any sales...If this will continue to be thier standard PR....And to help us understand an address and Telephone number of each new division would be a start...IF not a utility bill or or fed ex bill from thier 6000 item mail order facility... GM news...
This is a number that gives one thought...
At current stock prices Harley Davidson has a higher market value than GM... This was reported by Dave Faber on CNBC this morning... I do believe Debt was subtracted from market value on both to reach this figure.... The only other time that I saw such a market fluke was when Priceline was giving stock to the airlines for the ability to sell thier tickets,,, At that time Pricelines stock was worth more than the total market value of the top five airlines in size... Today Priceline's stock is still worth more than the combined value of the top 5.... And pricelines stock is selling at only 5% of its high... Food for thought or a reason why I believe self serving wall street research is just that...Hank
PS.. AOL at one time was worth more than the top 5 broadcasting companies...
ACRG...
Has always had more than $10.00 per share in revs.. That was the knock because of low PM%... Profit margins have marginally improved during the last 4 years but sales have more than doubled during the same period...ACRG's key was that per store sales always exceeded industry growth by 6% to 9%... Because of this ACRG's sales were increasing when market statistics were falling...High Rev's per share with profitability are a rarety in most BB's....ACRG traded at 3.85 yesterday only 0.01 below it's all time high and is my largest position even after selling 1/3 earlier this year for tax purposes... Trading vrs. Hold...
In my investment world I use three different investment accounts at the same time...
Each account has what I would consider anchor stocks...
My first account is basic in it's goal.. Make as much long term money as possible... Long term here is the goal and most positions are held for years, not months and it is a margin account... I will use a short fund as a hedge If I really do not like the market,,, This account rarely has more than 12 stocks and 15 is the most that I can remember... Four stocks make up 60% of the portfolio...They are NVR,,ACRG,,XOM and BR...They are all three year or longer holds... The others are FRGB,,NARA,,IMH,,FBR,,which have been held less than two years and new in the last year ALY,,TGIS,,LNDNF,,HMNRF,,WTOTF and NKRSF...Stocks in this account are held and usually when a new idea is found the least performing stock goes except for FBR,, It is my favorite brokerage firm and pays a hefty div...In the past our years aprox. 40 names have appeared in this account..
The second and third are sector trading accounts... One is for banks and the other is oil,,,One sector never seems to do well when the other is,,, I sometimes will buy others but not as a rule..If I am as now trading oils ,,,the bank portfolio has it's cash transfered to oil and if necessary the other way around....It has only been a couple of months or so since I started lighten up banks...Yes some banks remain but they are mostly reminder positions...
In the trading account I keep no more than 15 positions and have three or four that make up over half of the account... I will trade names that I hold in the first account... Trading is fun and over a period of time my first account always seems to win...But if I was not trading my good ideas would be farther apart...
I think trying to manage and stay aware of more than 20 or 25 companies is impossible and I still believe in NEVER average down an investment....The second is that in this internet world every stock is only 1 press release away from a 50% markdown..
At presant IMH is probally the next to go if I can replace not only the stock but also the div.. I think it is the best REIT in the country..
OT..
Political talk and investment actually go together...When politics control investments the ability to make profits diminish almost as bad as when we have Democrats in power...Any thing that exposes political control is appealing as today after the new bankrupcy law was passed some asked about public credit advisors...
GFCI to buy 500,000 shares...
Could be this was a typo,,, It could of been 5000 shares and they went to lunch instead...
ALY,,CPE,,ACRG...
Today I became humble...
ALY has given all BUT 1.00 back,,, CPE is now a breakeven,,, ACRG which never goes down did so today... Today I bought SOSA at 7.92 and sold when the purchase was confirmed..CPE,, I watched go up,up,almost all day from it's low and at the close only 0.25 above the low... ALY bought 3 times below 5.00 only seeming to step on my own foot...Downdrafts are always unplesant and Quality upgrades are incouraged....Protections of ones positions is stupid...
BLMC which I used as a example of value for which I have had an OPEN buy order 2000 @ 44.50,,,Never traded but had an offer
of 45.. To cheap to buy,,, Today opened @52 and traded as high as 63... closed at 59.00...what could of been... couldof/wouldof/shouldof...
What a shame...
LUPE...1,687,169 shares traded,, closed at 56.25 Swed
LUDNF 4138 @ $8.40 Plenty of arb potential for the MM
You got to love the numbers and the arb has always been close...Started buying at 47.75 and have added almost daily since... It's for real and have posted the web site here several times...I guess it got lost with all the GFCI hype... I actually like it better than DNO...
Get yoursef another broker... ARB's are worldwide..
DNO...
If you use limits the norwegian stocks are very liquid... Generally unless listed the pinks are good for 5000 share markets using MM markets... On thier markets there is plenty of arb room and The size offshore is much greater than OTCBB...
Not to sound ...
If I found any others that I like,,, they would be in the portfolio... Targets and projections are like beauty...It's in the eyes.......................
IT's like grandkids...Investments,,, ALL should be loved...
I also bought STO and a new issue ISE today but they are probally too boring to you.. Tomorrow I will buy SOSA,,ALY and NHY...I only use Brown for my trades and no problem..
