oops, let me put my teeth back in.... that there would be Azz Hat to you, "All that's" or all that is... or whiskey tango foxtrot where in the hades are my teeth Jethro...
Richinjun: Couldn't agree more. You don't want to piss off the regulator. All's thats needed is to get the word out. I try and tell everyone I can. I told two people I work with about "V" even showed them my new pills.... :D)
They're really cute, they have VASCEPA imprinted on the sides. When I opened my first bottle last night I took a whiff, man it smelled just like caviar or close to it. Smelled like Salmon almost like when you clean a fresh caught fish and there's a lot of eggs inside. Kind of earthy.
Say, maybe I'll call Andrew Zimmer "Food Network" and tell him to look into Vascepa.
Hey Doc; thanks for the calming effect... folks need to calm down, Amarin is not going away, even if they have to dilute or issue bonds they will make it...
On a side note: What are the symptoms of dry eyes.... duh? Although I've been to my Optometrist many times over the years, the subject of dry eye syndrom has never been talked about. I'll see my eye doctor on 11/4 and talk about it then. I know when I get a full blown exam (i.e eye dilation, ) The doctor uses a device to measure eye pressure and checks the Retina for defects. "Too bad they don't have a machine to check peoples brains for defects".... :D). Oh wait that's called a TV set, the networks can tell an entire populations brain function by how many folks are tuned into the Kardassians... Just kidding, back to reality.
As you may surmise I live & work in a desert environment. My eyes do have a tendency to get dry & irritated. Seems I'm always rubbing my eyes and digging all those little toe jams (dried secretions) that build-up in the corners. I don't often tear-up, (only at weddings and funerals). Anyway for the past several months, I have noticed some dryness, I don't use eye drops, although I carry a small bottle with me. It's weird, yesterday (evening) when I received my Vascepa in the mail, I took two with dinner. Today I took two more with breakfast a fat girl (burrito) and a cup of coffee. Right now it's 1:00 PM MST, now the weird part, I haven't rubbed my eyes at all today, they seem moister than usual, just an observation, perhaps based on my awareness from reading your messages about DES. I'll keep everyone posted. I get my blood work done 11/4, week from Monday.
Until then take care, thanks for all your posts... seriously
Nice message Johnnie: One correction; Instead of approved for 1 million people I'm assuming you meant Marine? Marine group has approx. 4 million Americans with TGs in the 500 mg/dl, range, correct?
Darn, I didn't think being a Political Activist could be so much fun. And to think I used to beat up people carrying Protest signs in the 60's & 70's during Vietnam War....
Go Amarin..... :D)
The more people in the pool the better, as long as someone doesn't go potty while I'm in it...
Mikey, Mikey, Mikey..... what day is it, huh, c'mon Mikey what day is it??? Hump Day says Mikey, Booyah says the Camel....
So, where is this Mikey Letter? Author, author.... :D)
"Amarin to the Moon Alice" there, I put something related to Amarin in my message. I approve this message, thank you, thank you very much...
Elvis
Okay Ranjo; thanks. eom
Thanks Yoshi; good job putting this together. I can't open it at work due to network oversight... not allowed.... I'll view it when I get home tonight.
Thanks Ranjo: I like your Native American angle, didn't realize it affected 33% of Papago, T'Odham. Since we both live in AZ I was wanting to gather some data on Type 2 Diabetes and the positive affects Vascepa would have on fighting this disease. I understand genetics plays a part, but preventive medication like Vascepa is the key for now. I will pass this on to our US Representatives and Senators McCain and Flake. I work with a number of Navajo's at Palo Verde and I'll pass along this information to them as well, so, they can tell their family and friends. I know there have been related work (studies) I just can't find the time to puill everything together. Any assistance would be fantastic. Thanks, Nuke
go seek: Can I sign the petition twice? I have several email accounts and can use a different name... FWIW,
I can go by the name of Dr. Swanson. Heck they do it in Russia during election with tour buses.....
Nuke
Zum: Where is your draft letter? TIA
Nuke
go seek; I signed your petition, it showed I was #273. I'm assuming that's how many have signed so far. Thanks for doing this. GLTA, Nuke
Now to get a copy of Zumantu's letter. TIA
Hi Zum: Definite kick in the pants today. However, if I can be a sample of one. My Doctor prescribed Vascepa off-label, this was yesterday. If there is a silver lining to any of this it is the forward thinking of Doctors who are cognizant of Vascepa. If and I say if, Amarin can continue to market the drug effectively, then shouldn't we get a major market share of the Marine Market and beyond? Particularly with the Patents Amarin has. Also word of mouth travels fast these days with the internet. Screw BP they may try and low ball Amarin, we'll know more by 7 PM tonight.
Hope springs eternal, the FDA sucks (IMHO), when a drug like Qsymia can be approved with all of it's shortcomings, then the game was fixed.
Alright already.... I guess it's "Dog pile on ol Nuke day" Great the market is open on Monday, Columbus Day. So, no honoring the Great Explorer huh? Me bad, I was thinking since the Gubmint is shut down and or having a Holiday and there's a Parade in town, I assumed (A$$ out of U and Me) that the market was closed sorry.....
Make that Monday then for a hamburger today....
With that I agree, the mystery "PUT" buyer, the reporter at Bloomberg who got it from a friend of a friend.....
What a novel that would make, huh? I'm wondering, it would have had to be communicated prior to Thursday, perhaps even on Wednesday night because Mystery Man bought the Puts on Thursday? email or phone both methods can be searched.
Now, if it was under the covers operation then this can't be traced.... maybe it was a "Ménage à trois" FDA leak, Bloomberg Reporter and Mystery person all went to Harvard or grade school together? Met for dinner and drinks, let me tell you what I've got... etc.
Oops, me bad market is closed on Monday.... Tuesday then. I'll gladly buy Amarin on Tuesday for a hamburger today...
Keeping it humorous folks, you'll look back on this week and say wow, "I made it through the tough times and it has made me stronger for it."
Wimpy
KC: I agree with your points. I'm hoping the ADCOM is not comprised of Academicians, but those who are practicing physicians and or clinicians. Anyone with a lick of common sense can see the benefits of approving Vascepa.
With Declan Dugan, Harold Bays and Steve Ketchum representing Amarin. I feel confident that we will be "Victorius", "Courage is fear holding on a minute longer." George S. Patton.
http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/g/georgespa104742.html#uzC2ORTQUsYPxVmg.99or
FDA had no choice, they don't work weekends especially now during Gubmint shutdown. Heck the 200 year old Clock in the Capitol can't even get wound because there's no employees to wind it... hehe.
So, when was the FDA supposed to release these documents? They said they were going to provide them two business days prior to the ADCOM. It's not the FDA's fault, it's the system itself that has evolved into a system of trading based upon "Darwin's Law of Natural Selection" Because we have a "Free" market system that is regulated somewhat by the SEC. "When the Cats away the mice will play" is my theory. No one was watching the hen house or has been for what two weeks now?
Go seek: agree goes to at least $6 on Monday. Has to back fill all those who bought yesterday which drove PPS up to 7.15. I sincerely hope that there is a Class action lawsuit from this and that I get a piece of mail stating such. I'd personally love to see Michael Bloomberg get his Keester reamed over this.
So What?..... :D)... get it? What-a-lane?
How pure is Epadel? Is it 97% pure?
Ukrainians want all the fat and all of the meat BTW... Wow, a CV event by age 50? I can believe it. Their life styles are like anything goes...
Sad story about CV awareness. My Father-in-law (Wife's Dad) had a stroke, the family didn't realize it and waited essentially all day before calling the ambulance because the father was incoherant. By the time the ambulance arrived and Anatoly was looked at in ER he had missed the 4 hour window for full recovery. Needless to say it wasn't pretty after that. He was sent home and was bed ridden until he passed away. If he was here in the US things would be different.
Thanks Zum, Atlas, Jesse & WJenkins.
So, Let me ask a couple questions; There appears to be 11 panel members, not counting the Chairperson (Vacant). Because the Industry Rep Mads Rasmussen cannot vote, that leaves ten (10) possible votes at ADCOM.
Q1: In the event of a tie 5 for, 5 against, who casts the deciding vote?
Q2: Not counting votes, but reading today's messages, we can count on perhaps two (2) votes for acceptance; V. Bittner and E. Seely since these are the two with the cardio experience. How do you suppose the others will vote? Has anyone done DD on the other panel members?
So, theoretically, there are eight (8) voting panel members so if there was a split here 4 for, 4 against that would possibly mean a 6 to 4 decision? I'm hoping for a "Unanimous Decision." If only Muhammed Ali were on the panel. He'd float like a butterfly, sting like a Bee. What's wrong with you chump...Vascepa is good stuff man, here have some...
Today is an awesome show put on by Wall Street and the market thugs, trying to scare folks.... because of how AMRN has recovered speaks volumes (no pun intended) and the volume traded is also spectacular... those 10,000 Puts are a drop in the bucket and was orchestrated ( I have no proof), marvelous show Wall Street, "Author, author."
Steady T, I don't understand, could you please provide more clarity? I thought AMRN was up 4% today and going higher pre & post ADCOM. What are your true thoughts?
Could you also provide some type of Facts that back up your "Opinion?" I'm a sucker for facts I tell you.....
Thanks, your humbleness, Nuke
Wow, Steady T, I don't know where you've been but I can tell you have a lot of wisdom about trading stocks. Especially about AMRN. Yes, Amarin could go to a sub-penny, what ever that means....????? Does that mean less than .01, like .0099999?
I will be watching for your posts, because I believe you.....
Keep up the good work.
Nuke
Excellent work Zum. So you are the John Capello in the letter? Funny, I Googled John Capello and unless your the famous John Capello the Psychic - Mentalist then I didn't see the connection unitl.....wait...it's coming to me now...I get it... I saw Vascepa in a vision. and Yes, ADCOM meeting ended and everyone was cheering. The doctors ran out of the ADCOM yelling Vascepa, Vascepa, Vascepa, three cheers for Vascepa. Do you happen to have any psychic predictions on ADCOM outcome? :D)
GLTA
Thanks jessie for all your posts, you are the torch bearer here...
Funny thing happened on the way to work today. One of the guy's I ride with went to see his doctor. He said he was given a Rx of generic Lipitpr by his doctor he said. Just to keep the pipes clean. I asked him what his cholesterol levels were and he said about 100 mg/dl. I told him about V and yada, yada.... Strange how a statin can be prescribed for someone with low Cholesterol levels just as a preventive medication.
My friend said he was on Crestor but that gave him painful joints and such so his doc switched him to generic lipitor.
I will work on my friend since we ride together and get him to come over from the "Dark Side." Vascepa.... good, Statins..... bad...
FWIW, I'm scheduled for my 2nd visit for Dr. Ravi Shankarvishnuparabhabakan sometime this month. If he tries to put me on a statin I will refuse and will ask to be reassigned to a new PCP if he doesn't give me a Rx to "V" We'll see the results of my diet and exercise change....yeah right, just give me the meds doc and see you in 6 months....
You're not far off Zum; Because of the Tsunami and damage to Fukushima Nuclear Facility, radioactive materials were released into the sea. Perhaps this scared the beejeebers out of the Japanese and they are going to red meat. Perhaps? Maybe it's the cost of fish has gone up so much. I'll paint this picture for you, what's cheaper to feed your family with Pork Chops or Salmon?
I can buy Pork for about $1.10 per lb. compared to $8 - $9 per lb. for Salmon or Halibut. Plus how many ways can you cook fish that the family will eat? What fish taco's? Broiled or grilled is the best way since there's no added fats. Did I ever tell you about the typical Russian or Ukrainina diet? More about this later. Amarin, I beleive is doing a part of it's Reduce-It clinicals using Ukrainians? Only rumor I can't confirm, it will be interesting to see the results.
Vascepa will be a big hit in Japan when Amarin taps into that market.
Hey GTG; So, what happened to selling all of Amarins Office furniture? Darn, I was hoping to get a good deal on you know one of those "L" shaped fake rosewood desks with the Red stain.
Now, can you describe to me what is a Snakeoil Cam? Is this a throwback to "Jake the Snake Prudehomme?" He sold a line of SnakeOil Cams for the hobbyist Dragster market. Or maybe it was Don the Mongoose Garlits? Or maybe it was "Jake the Snake Plummer?"
So, do you really think Amarin is heading for that "Last Round-up?"
Thanks Pardner, appreciate the heads-up.....
Nuke
Hi Jesse,
For once, I do take exception to your comment; "I know the readers on this board are mainly here for the money, and do not really have much interest in the science,"
I'm an engineer and an investor, yes, money is the main driver, but, health is important to me too. I'm seeing my PCP next month October so, hopefully I can convince him to prescribe me Vascepa. I'm very anxious to get started on it. Believe me, I'm not a pill pusher and don't like taking unnecessary medications. FWIW, I'm not on any prescription medication currently and don't necessarily want to be on any, but, if Vascepa is as good as what you folks are saying then it can't hurt me to have a "Preventive" med, like taking a "One-a-Day."
Wow, IHUB took me off the single post per day limit, thanks IHub....
"Love you man"
Nuke
Just curious GTG; Now why would Amarin collapse? Please let me know, I'm really a scared investor and don't want to lose all my money in this company if you think we're going to collapse, please help me...please? I want to understand the stock market. Will you teach me? So, is Fish oil like what you get from cooking a Lake Trout in tin foil on the grill?
Also, if you see our mutual friend Briggs, could you ask him to send me his sales reps phone number for that "Snake Oil" he keeps talking about? Somehow, my IHub message was deleted yesterday....
BTW, what is BK? Is the BK some type of Indoor swap meet? Or possibly BK = Burger King? Does Burger King sell Snake Oil do you think? Every time I go in there their menu's always changing. Today it's Avocados, the next day bacon double cheese with Ranch, on Friday's it's Fish sandwiches with Bacon Habanero Mayo....
So many choices, so little time.
Thank you, your buddy,
Nuke
So, where did you hear about MTRN & LQMT rumor? TIA
So, Bio Bill what is really the purpose of the ADCOMM?
It looks to be assembled to discuss AMR102 and its use with Statins (Safety & Efficacy).
It also appears that the committee is comprised of Endocrinologists and something other than Cardiology.
So, what is the outcome we are looking for if it's not for off-label use of Vascepa? TIA.
Should see 4000 scripts next week. Yellow and others, where can a layman find these script numbers? NRx and refills? Good post btw.... refills is a key factor. Should be a good script week next week.
Jesse: loved your piece on that woman with Scleroderma? Keep us posted. Says alot about you and you helping those in need. How's your mood, still feeling euphoric regardless of all the noise around you?
Wow, Thanks London, these are great results. Sometimes I can't tell when Jesse is joking or not, these numbers look to be in-line, maybe they're a tad lower than what they should be? Like any medication doesn't it depend upon the person themselves? Like their diets, how active they are? They're metabolism? etc...
The twitter numbers:
cholesterol - 207 - 154 reduced by 25.6%
Trigs: 254 - 154 reduced by 39.4%
LDL: 111 - 79 reduced by 28.8%
This is still awesome results and without a statin too...
Question for Bio, aka Williams.... Your message about pain control. You mentioned the combination of "aspirin/Tylenol/ibuprofen/EPA mix, maybe the equivalent of 10 mg Morphine IV "over the counter".
Man, I want some of that.... will it cause dependence (addiction)? I think anything that creates that type of euphoria has it's downsides. But, it does show that Vascepa is quite the "utility Drug" that most of us hope it will become.
Good grief! Insiders made good on every promise they've ever made and met every target they've ever set. If it wasn't for the fantastic move to Go it alone back in December, imagine where Amarin would be now. Now that AstraZeneca has shown it's hand and made the first (wrong) move. They were too weak in the knees to get into a bidding war with a "Best in Class" prescription drug like VASCEPA. Vascepa will turn the drug market on it's ear. Vascepa will not only take over the EPA market, they will eat into the Statin space as well. Then don't forget all the other ailments Vascepa will be prescribed for once they get Anchor approval and subsequently the off-label market. I really feel fortunate to own Amarin stock at this moment. Some who apparently sold their positions made out, but in the long run they would do much better if they bought Amarin at these levels and let it run.... as there is tremendous upside coming. The market will see that attempts to undermine Amarin is futile and will throw in the towel. Either your with us or against us, as my good buddy George Bush (GW) said.
GLTA,
Nuke
Thanks Injun and Jesse, your Posts are very how should I say.... insightful, enlightend and full of promise. This helps those of us who are constantly bombarded by negativity and only leads one to believe in VASCEPA all the more. The tide is turning, soon even those against Vascepa will be won over.. Remember the "HOPI Curse"...
Good morning Jesse and all good people. I have a friend at work who suffers from Macular Degeneration (Eye). Apparently his retina tears because of the fluid in his eyes becomes more viscous, creating a pulling effect on his retina essentially tearing the retina away from the back of the eye. Not a good situation.
Does anyone have any sites besides the Dry Eye study which I forwarded him from BioChica, thanks Bio.... Beautiful family by the way. :D)
Thanks everyone, just goes to show you today's trading, those who sold @ 7.05 this AM, are very sad right about now. That's why I never, never set stops and I've never gone short on any stock I've owned. I know, not very savvy stock trading but hey, I only had a sixth grade edumacation....
GLTA,
Cool Hand Nuke
Happy Mothers Day.... There my one post for the day and an awesome post it is....
GLTA and make sure you call your Mothers today and take your spouse out for dinner.....
Cool Hand Nuke
Ajax, okay, I'll blow my one post for the day. Your figures are incorrect and your trying to blow smoke. $60M would @ $15 would have meant JZ sold 4m shares of Amarin stock. He's never owned 4m shares of Amarin stock. Care to re-calculate or? Pulling figures out if thin air is ridiculous.
Okay, so, JZ sold some shares @ $15 so big deal. Do you think Jamie Dimon, Jack Welsh, Bill Gates sent a message when they received stock options worth $billions and then turned around and sold them. How about Golden parachutes?
You got nothing on JZ so let's put down the hash pipe.
Good morning Alternatepatel; Okay, so I use my one post limit to respond to your post. IMHO, Vascepa has nothing to worry about from Zetia itself; I went to http://www.drugs.com/sfx/zetia-side-effects.html. The following were side effects warnings for the Consumer. Applies to ezetimibe: oral tablet
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking ezetimibe (the active ingredient contained in Zetia) hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:
unusual muscle weakness, tenderness, or pain;
nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
chest pain;
pancreatitis (severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back, nausea and vomiting, fast heart rate); or
fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash.
Less serious side effects of ezetimibe may include:
numbness or tingly feeling;
mild stomach pain, diarrhea;
tired feeling;
headache;
dizziness;
depressed mood;
runny or stuffy nose, cold symptoms;
joint pain, back pain; or
cough.
This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. I do have an uneasy feeling about MERCKs Marketing prowess however. If the old adage that good salesman can sell ice cubes to Eskimos. Then this could affect Vascepa sales. Once people start a medication prescribed by their "trusted" physician, it's hard to switch the patients back or change their meds if they're not having any of these side effects.
Don't forget things don't remain constant. Scripts will continue to increase. $20 million per week by mid year is more likely.
