You got that right, Poche. Looks like we are up a buck and change so far according to MSN. Let's hope trend continues.

Come on now, this rapid decline can stop anytime! Sheesh.........
Loop, once again you have explained it superbly. Thanks!
1. A poster should NOT post or advocate one course of action and do another. (That is the honesty expectation)
You are absolutely right, unfortunately we'll never know who's speaking with a forked tongue.
I can speak for myself and possibly many others here. For me, I don't wait for the CAFC on a daily basis just so I can hit the sell button. I simply want closure with NOK. I'm sure most here are frustrated with the delays by Nokia over the past years...........so, come on Nokia.........let's get on with it and move forward. Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking, but IDCC isn't the only one benefitting from the outcome. I believe Nokia will benefit also.
I agree. Most here who are not closely monitoring the CAFC have probably already sold a large portion and will buy back in on a positive decision, or they are primarily option players (we probably have more of those here than longs realize) and have there position hedged.
There is way to much money involved for everyone for us not to expect honesty, frankness, and some degree of openness from our fellow posters here, imo.
First off, I'm long and don't trade. That said, I fully agree with the first part of your post and fully disagree with the last part. IMO, even though we all share the common interest in success for IDCC......it's no one's business how each individual investor makes (or loses) money on their investment. I know a few here have disclosed their trading techniques and use of options and this is fine. But, it should not be expected. As stated, this is JMO.
Thanks Fish. Hopefully we won't have to check CAFC much longer!
With a PE of 13, many of us think IDCC is undervalued right now without Nokia. It's my understanding that we should currently be in the $60-$70 range if Wallstreet would allow us a fair PE. Besides, there are many other irons in the fire such as LG renewal and possibly signing Motorola and Sony/Ericssen(SP).
Thanks Sons. I'll bookmark the site.
Nic, sure, I'll call CAFC everyday until it's over. Do you have the number? Tia
Did anybody check CAFC?
Thanks Postyle. I didn't see the other video.
Not sure if this was posted here. If so, maybe Jim could delete it. IDCC booth demo.
+1........no doubt about it! Rmarchma is one of five members I have bookmarked. Thanks Ron.
That's one way to look at it, Bob. However it'd be nice to roll the clock ahead a few months!
Ouch..............WTH is going on? Talk about a falling knife!
A while back someone here said this stock isn't for the meek or weak..........damn he's right!
I think many people still underestimate the Chinese market and all that will occur as they continue to develop rapidly.
Yes Badger, but unfortunately many people also know the Chinese to be pirates of technology.
I hear ya, Jim. Btw, HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY. That is quite a feat in this free-spirited society. I just celebrated our 28th.
Even though IDCC is contractually bound to silence regarding terms, I think shareholders should have access to some financials. It's a shame that our executives have to be tight-lipped.
2. Last week's drop in share price of IDC of $10 where shorts an mm's were running the price down to cover their positions.
I kind of thought the drop was due to a shortfall in next quarters revenue projections. I think they projected $70 million vs $95 million this past quarter. Granted.....it was also an opportunity for shorts to cover, but I'm not sure MM's were running the price down just so shorts could cover. JMO
I admit, right after the orals, I too though there would be a quick settlement. However, as time passes I have changed my thinking. After reading past decisions from CAFC, it seems like the speedy decisions usually confirm ITC's original decision. Hopefully the longer this goes, the better it will be for us long-suffering longs. Nokia has gotten away with theft for long enough..........at least this is my opinion.
So, I gather from posts the last couple days that the longer CAFC takes should be more to the advantage of IDCC. Is this a fair statement? I think we approaching one month so far.
You got that right. $47 isn't bad considering what's coming down the pike. Let's all step back and take some deep breaths and move on from here.............a couple stiff cocktails wouldn't hurt either.
Shorts need much more volume and may soon need to chase the price up to find available stock.
Hmmm, I'd think today would be perfect for short covering. Can't imagine IDCC going much lower.
Merritt says they are holding out for more money on LG deal. Says we could break a deal right now for lower amount.
Amazing!!!!!!! IDCC has traded almost 2 million shares in the first hour. This could be a wild day. Buckle your seatbelt!
Phew, we're up $4 off our lows this morning. Just heard Merritt say IDCC has signed 12 new licenses in past 18 months. I don't recall that many. Does anyone have a list from the past 18 months? Tia
Thank you!
Hey Nic, do you know what time the CC is tomorrow? Also, a phone # would be great. Tia
Thanks for the thumbnail strategy. I guess I just wasn't ready for this right before earnings. I'm holdings my shares at least until I retire sometime in 2015.
So I see that was a big mistake so I'll watch it and maybe get some more at a lower price and see how good I can do in catching the falling knife. mo. .. nic
Hmmm, I always thought a short squeeze was suppose to go the other direction!
I'm damn glad I don't use stops. Looks like we've rebounded from the low. This is the type of action I'd expect last Friday (options).
Ouch! What's up with the $2 hit on IDCC? I know the market is down, but not this much.
I had a 428 Mach One Cobra Jet way back in 1969[Candle Apple Red with Hood Pins].
Um, I don't get it! You worked for Mopar, but bought a Ford..........I was always a GM guy, but I realized that Mopar had an advantage in muscle cars. One word: Hemi
In my later years I have switched over to Mopar products. I love my Hemi Truck and the wife loves her Caravan.
I'd bet a dollar to a donut that M3S will pick the green one, lol.
Thanks for posting the "rare earths" links. I bookmarked them and will keep an eye on this. It looks promising for sure.
O.T.
I live in Michigan, but don't/won't get a pension. I do have a 401k. I'd be willing to support no taxing of pensions as long as it's not a pension that was recently paid for by taxpayers.....such as the case with General Motors. Seems a little unfair that U.S. taxpayers that don't get pensions should have to pay for others pensions.
Heck Nic, I had to cash in all my baseball cards to scrape up enough cash to buy my 50 shares of IDCC. I am hoping tovar least double my $$. I was almost going to donate to sperm bank for more cash, but then realized the world would not be ready for anymore people with such high intelligence as I posses. Take care and have a nice weekend.
You got it right, Nic..........I'm one of those rich guys!
We use to buy liquid smoke for marinating steak before grilling. Not sure if liquid smoke is still made.......have not seen it for sale in quite awhile. IIRC, it worked very well on steaks or ribs.
