Exactly! We opened above yesterday's close and they opened below their previous close. The MM's feed off of public reaction. F**N reaction was negative to their 8K; therefore, the MM's opened the next morning at a 50% loss forcing people to sell much lower than they bought, in fear that it would go lower. That's how they make their money. Our 8K had a positive reaction ;therefore, they opened at a higher bid/ask to force people to buy higher and then walk it down to scare people into taking a loss. It's like clock work and people fall for it everytime.JMO!
That's why very few actually make any real money in the pinks, they don't understand how things work. Let them move on and we will get new buyers that actually see the potential here.JMO!
The volume this morning is only from people that were made aware of the 8K. We will get more volume when the company brings it to the attention of public through a PR.
First hour of trading is always wacky, then mostly buys will start coming in. People like to let a stock settle a little in order to determine an entry point.
The people that are getting in today are the ones that have been made aware of the 8K, a PR will bring in more buyers. We should see nice steady increases as things progress.JMO!
Agreed! People don't realize all of the expenses that come with a retail chain vs. a company with very little overhead. Also profits are are very much affected by the average gross margin of their products; unfortunately, grocery stores don't have a huge mark up compared to some items like jewelry and clothing.
About the leasing issue, almost all retailers lease. Even one of the largest retailers in this country, Wal-mart!
Why is everyone argueing about where revenues are now?
This is supposed to be about getting in at ground level and watching the pps grow through mergers and expansion. It appears more and more that many were in this for a quick profit. Also it is very evident that many want this lower than it is for a better entry point, that is why they continue to bash. If they weren't happy with the direction of this company then they would have sold today and moved on, think about it! IGNOR THEM! Obviously the company is trying to move in a direction that will become a win win situation for both companies that are in a stagnet situation. Let the story unfold and see if they come out with any future projected revenues and how the two companies plan on complimenting each other through their efforts. My perspective of the situation is that I see two companies having the ability of cornering a specific market and providing a product that is well ahead and far better than their competition. From this, all I can see is $$$ in the future until I observe something that would cause me to think differently.GLTA!
I agree! I believe the PR on Friday was to prevent a Friday sell-off and to prevent the current shareholders from taking anymore of a loss due to the missed deadline for the 8K, the market just reacted in a very positive way that caused a volume surge and a rise in the PPS. I don't believe the company was trying to be evil and cruel with their tactics. Also if I recall correctly, someone from this board that spoke with the company on Thursday actually requested a Friday PR if they weren't going to release the 8K before close of market on Friday. It's the glass half full or half empty theory, see it as you wish.
Also as I said on Friday, even with the 8K not living up to what we had expected, it's a step that had to be taken in order to move forward with their plans. There are even companies on the big boards with debt, not many that don't have some sort of debt. Hopefully now that we have taken a step back, we can take several steps forward. What's important to me is to see what they have in the works to add value to this stock and what future plans they have to resolve this debt.
They have a product that is selling and as many have mentioned with fuel costs and environment issues I feel they are actually presenting their product at a very key time. It will be very interesting to see who catches on to this product and runs with it.
FYI: These are just my thoughts and they aren't meant to persuade anyone in either direction. I will be holding my position and I also understand that some cannot afford to take these risks. We all have our own agenda and must make the best decission for ourselves.GLTA!
Well even with the bad news of the 8K I am going to wait it out and see how the rest of the story unfolds. Obviously this was a step they had to make in order to move forward with whatever they have planned, I just hope it's only one step back and several steps forward.GLTA!
Have a nice weekend! I will see the future holders on Monday!
I was wondering the same thing. Why go through the trouble? Why not just say an 8K is in the works and play it out as long as you can without actually ever producing one.
IMO-They have been playing with the bid/ask so much to manipulate the buys and sells. Interesting to see what happens when this one gets news.
Strongtower: Would be nice to see you guys in the hunt again, SEC is a tough conference. The BIG 12 have their moments, but this has been a bad year for our conference. It may hurt OU getting the ranking they need to get to the national title game, even if we win the rest and BIG 12 championship. Computer polls have us ranked much lower for this reason; voters are saving us at this moment, hopefully we will continue to impress them. I appreciate your confidence and I will keep my fingers crossed. Good luck at Alabama this weekend, I will keep my eyes on that one!
OT:Strongtower-Got your message, sorry freebie! It does look like we may have a chance, but we aren't counting our chickens yet. We are a good team, but still young and have some things to work on. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out!GLTY!
