My grandson has a Gibson. Several years ago, the Gibson and two other guitars were stolen in a break in,

6 years later he was in a pawn shop and saw his Gibson. He asked owner/manager if he could have a closer look at it.
His full name was clearly visible.

He told the owner the story, pointed out his name and showed his Photo ID.

The owner returned the Gibson, with no complaint.--My grandson didn't call the police.

The moral of the story:
