EXCEL- That, my friend, was an EXCELLENT article. In fact, that's the best bit of news I've read recently regarding broadband. I recommend that everyone read that article and ponder it's implications to NV. Thanks Colonel.

Hey Scott...good to see you around. I see that porschy has answered some of your questions. I'll attempt to add a few things I was able to gather from a recent conversation with John.
First of all, I asked him why were using a pump firm instead of FH as I was a little leary of that myself. He explained to me that Elite's role in this was to get the word out to the street whereas FH's responsibility was to handle all media relations. We must first get the story out to the street and the media will FOLLOW. As the street learns our story, we will begin to see new buyers coming into our stock which will of course have a positive effect on our share price. Once this happens, the media will look at NV as being more credible and that is when they will want more information for stories in major publications etc. Let me point out though that it's not the increase in pps that will add credibility. It will be the information they put out that causes the higher pps that will give it to them. John stated that to try and go for the media before telling our story to the street would be backwards from the way it is normally done. He confirmed to me that NV is indeed ready to tell the story and that Elite would be the vehicle by which it is done. Dodi will NOT be calling individual investors by phone. Rather, she will focus her efforts on setting up meetings with broker/dealers, institutions etc. She will also send mailers, fax blitzes etc.
I pointed out to him the fact that we were told at the annual shareholders meeting that NV was ready to tell the story and that I had a hard time believing him when he says we are ready now. He responded by saying there were some issues with Blevins/Shepphard that they found out about very shortly after the meeting that put the brakes on the media campaign but would not elaborate on those issues (I believe out of respect for B&S). I believe him when he says that.
There have been false starts from this company in the past. I believe NV is now ready to start this up in earnest but with their past track record it is a wait and see for me. However, when speaking with John, I really get the impression that it's for real this time. Time will tell and I suspect that since Dodi is already familiar with our story it will only be a matter of weeks rather than months before we begin to see the fruits of her labor.
As for the meetings, I tend to agree somewhat as it relates to going and getting the same information meeting after meeting. However, by meeting management in person, an investor is able to not only hear what is being said, they are also able to read body language which is much more useful when trying to determine what kind of a person each of them is and whether you think they're being honest.
Overall, I feel pretty comfortable about this investment. Much better now then in the recent past. I have been a critic concerning management's credibility and the many false starts but after speaking with John, those fears have subsided. It is now up to them to keep it that way by following through with what they say they are going to do. Time will tell. Best regards, Elder.
Everything seems to be fine Matt although I can no longer see how many people have me on ignore. I was up to 21. Best, Elder.
Brady- I guess pandora's box may not have been very fitting. LOL
That's pretty cool IOWN. Glad you finally shared. LOL
The new IR firm has warrants ranging from .75 to 2.25. Sounds like incentive to me.
2001 Laws Cost Taxpayers $733 Billion
Jim Burns, CNSNews.com

http://www.newsmax.com
There's a Republican in the White House, the U.S. House is still run by the GOP and the country is in a recession, but that didn't stop Congress and the president last year from passing 136 laws that will cost taxpayers $733 billion – more money than ever before.
The two most expensive bills signed into law were the National Defense Authorization Act, which calls for $276 million in mandatory spending over five years, and the education law known as the "No Child Left Behind Act," which will cost taxpayers $135 billion over the next five years.
The House Republican Study Committee (RSC) has totaled the costs of all the legislation passed during the first half of the 107th Congress, the first time it has ever undertaken such a task, according to RSC executive director Neil Bradley.
"One of the goals that we set out in doing this, this year, was to begin compiling figures every year, so we can begin to compare whether we are spending or proposing to spend more of the taxpayers' money or less," said Bradley.
Another expensive item is the "Railroad Retirement Act," which will cost taxpayers almost $14 billion over five years.
The study was broken down into three major categories: mandatory spending, authorizations and appropriations.
"Mandatory spending is the spending that is re-occurring, that once Congress begins it, it doesn't end until Congress affirmatively chooses to do something about it. This is spending that will continue for now until Congress decides to change those programs," Bradley said.
The study found that the appropriations bills approach $733 billion in 2001, a historic high, according to Bradley. About $45 billion is a direct result of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, he said, but the total is "well in excess of the levels we prescribed back in 1997 when we had a Balanced Budget Act."
Bush and Teddy Kennedy, Two of a Kind?
"President Bush had proposed fairly substantial increases in education spending, and Congress, in particular the Senate, led by Senator Kennedy, proposed even further increases.
"Ultimately, most of those increases were included in the final bill that was signed into law," said Bradley.
Bradley also predicts, after looking at President Bush's proposed budget for the coming fiscal year, that appropriations will climb even higher.
Taxpayers Forced Into Socialized Medicine
"There are a lot of proposals to increase mandatory spending on things like prescription drugs. Also, the farm bill, which would increase the mandatory spending line. But it remains to be seen what sort of authorizations [Congress] will take up this year," said Bradley.
"Certainly, we will do another defense authorization bill, and our members believe and with good reason that that will be more than the previous year," he added.
Congress last year also passed the "African Elephant Conservation Act" and the "Rhino and Tiger Conservation Act," two items that will cost $15 million combined.
Bradley said bills such as those are "passed generally on Tuesday afternoons before members really get back into town. They usually pass under the suspension calendar, which means there are no amendments or constrained time for debate and very little discussion or fanfare."
Congress also passed 22 bills during the first session that renamed post offices and other federal property.
Pete Sepp, vice president of National Taxpayers Union, said the study showed "just how massive our federal government has become" and should "give people pause."
"The other dirty secret is, of course, that the federal government spends more than twice that amount [$733 billion] every year anyway. It means that a lot of federal spending goes on without a great deal of pause to evaluate it."
Sepp added that "there are so many programs on automatic pilot that get authorized once and sometimes every five or ten years. And they just continue on without even a peep."

January 2000: Kathleen Robertson of Austin Texas was awarded
$780,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping
over a toddler who was running amuck inside a furniture store.
The owners of the store were understandably surprised at the
verdict, considering the misbehaving little !@#$% was Ms.
Robertson's son.
OT: Looking forward to the meeting as well. Also looking forward to putting faces to the names. I guess we'll know porschy when we see him. He claims to be a Tom Sellek look alike. We'll just have to see about that. LOL
Howdy colonel! I noticed you said something about posting pictures on this board. Is there a website that allows you to upload pics that's free.

Colonel- I'll have to take a pass on the bribe although if you can come with with some vintage 2002 kool-aid I may be interested in that.
Looking at the numbers, there's no way for me to win unless the score totals up to EXACTLY 45. Can I change? LOL

Good to hear bugger. It's nice to have peace (so to speak) about a speculative investment. Best, Elder.
porschy- you've pretty well eliminated the possibility of the timer switch being the problem. Have you tried the spin cycle with no load (no clothes)? Your problem may be the heater (thermal overload) that could be tripping the motor. Do you hear a squealing sound that might indicate trouble with the motor bearings? Another thing...you've eliminated the possibility of it being the door switch. The fact that it runs for two to three minutes suggests that your control circuit is fine. I tend to think (without the benefit of putting a meter on anything) that it is either a problem with the motor overheating AND/OR the coupling that connects the motor to the transmission could be crooked causing the motor to operate under stress which would cause it to draw higher amps than normal. Try it without the clothes and see if it'll run for longer than when you have clothes in it. Also when you do this use the minimum amount of water possible. If it runs for longer than when it has a load then the motor MAY BE drawing too many amps. I don't suppose you have a clamp on ampmeter do you? Best, Elder.
kneefeye- good to have you aboard. Hopefully we'll soon feel more like the stripling warriors who conquered all they met without injury! Best, Elder.
mydogjet- I know a little bit about Nephi. And you?
E_MAIL from JH. Just FYI...
John,
I understand that you guys will be meeting with brokers to hopefully sell them on NV. I'm curious to know what the strategy is at this point. In particular, what will be the selling point other than Drs. Greaves and Propps involvement? Thanks.
Michael
Michael,
Probably the most compelling component of our technology is the timing. Our solution to an existing problem, the last mile bottleneck, is an invitation to the big dance. Once that is communicated, those that are new to our stock either recognize that the upside potential outweighs the downside potential or they wait for more validation. We believe that starting this exposure process now will make it easier to hit the road running when we have all the engineering specifics that we can use to back up our claims. We really are in the right place at the right time, we simply need to produce the finished prototype.
John
ONEBGG- You're correct on the power dropout being hazardous. Putting in a separate line would definitely be beneficial when looking at it from that standpoint but my point was that the iron shouldn't affect the PC. BTW, how much does a UPS cost?
Sir Dinkmeister- first of all let's have a look at your iron. The typical iron usually draws around 1200 watts. At 120 volts this looks a lot like 10 amps. Typically a circuit breaker for a receptacle is rated at 15 amps using 14/2. Code allows you to load up a breaker to 80% of its max so with the iron you're at 66% which leaves only 12% (2 amps.) However, if you're not popping a breaker I wouldn't worry about separating your iron from everything else as your iron may have a lower power rating.
Now, as for the flickering lights, TYPICALLY the lighting is put on a 20 amp breaker using 12/2 or 3. So in this case putting the iron on a separate breaker wouldn't do much good in solving that problem.
As for your computer, it uses very little in the way of actual power. The main thing you want to protect your computer from is voltage spikes. Your iron isn't causing a spike in the voltage. If anything it may cause a temporary drop in the voltage so in my opinion, putting your computer on a separate circuit isn't necessary because as I stated earlier, your lighting is on a separate circuit and it still flickers. That tells me that whatever the iron is doing, it's feeding back clear through to the main bus that you plug your breakers into.
Take my opinion with a grain of salt as I don't claim that the buck stops here. This is just what I know from my own experience. My iron does the exact same thing but I'm not worried about it in the least! Have a good one Dink. Best, Elder.
PS- If anyone knows something I don't, feel free to put in your 2 cents. :)
Hello premier- I got directed to this board by Excel. I tend to duck hunt a little too much (thank goodness the season is almost over)and saltwater fishing is right around the corner. Glad to have found this board. Thanks for the welcome. Best regards, Elder.
I always heard it like this: No questions are dumb. Only some of the people asking it are.
PB, there's nothing wrong with having a pretty little set of hands although may I suggest that you find a nice love chatroom with people of the female persuasion before discussing anything else of this nature. :)
Shaolin- where is their site and is there a message board? LOL
ONEBGG- I thought PETA was People Eating Tasty Animals. Man, you learn something new everyday. ;)
Very good Excel. It's nice to have a little reminder now and then. :)
Hey guys. I was an Electrician for 12 years before starting my own building maintenance company. Feel free to ask any questions, simple or complex, about any aspect of electricity in your home or anywhere else. Lord knows I'll be asking when it comes to just about everything else. Best regards, Elder.
CHANGES TO DALLAS MEETING After speaking with John, it has been decided that Saturday, February 23 would be better for the presentation in Dallas. The time is set for 3 PM. Anyone interested should contact me at ElderWolf@msn.com Please include your name, I-Hub alias, and how many will be coming with you. Best, Michael Wolf
MEETING IN DALLAS WITH NVEI
has been tentatively scheduled for February 22nd. It's been scheduled tentatively dependant upon investor interest. If you will be able to make it for sure, e-mail me at elderwolf@msn.com and let me know. Also let me know how many you will bring with you.
Twister- it is my opinion that management has not *knowingly* mislead us. I believe they have given their best estimates using what information they had at the time. They need to give us some good hard data, the kind we can sink our teeth into. If this doesn't happen IN JANUARY then we will likely see the beginnings of a selloff that will continue slowly until such a time as the "cloak and dagger" way of operating a company comes to a screeching halt. Many assume that the technology works and will have no problems but I have yet to see anything in the way of concrete data that proves this beyond a doubt. That's just business. It's dangerous to assume anything but that's what our management would have us do. Taking ANYONE'S word on ANYTHING in the world of business is not smart at all. I don't care who's involved in this tech. If they haven't said anything other than "I'm excited to be working on this technology" then I question the validity of the tech itself. How about an endorsement Ray? It couldn't take that long to pull Propp off of what he's doing to write some kind of a watered down report with a STRONG endorsement!! It sure would go a long way to restoring the fragile investor confidence NV suffers from at this time!!! You were willing to take the heat for no PR's in December. Are you willing to do the same in January? February? Come on Ray. How about taking care of the people who have supported you for so long! Best, Elder.
Twister- as hard as I've tried, I cannot find anything in your post to disagree with. Right now is definitely not the time to be buying. The downward slide will pick back up where it left off a couple of months ago in my opinion. Management has been stringing us along for some time now and many are sick of it. I look for a selloff in the not too distant future unless management quits the BS and tells us what the he!! is going on. I have my own personal timelines and milestones that I'm looking for and will sell once it becomes apparent those will go by the wayside along with the rest of the other promises. This thing is going under a quarter and there's not a he!! of a lot we can do about it. Best, Elder.
E-mail correspondence with John Howell:
The words are EXACT. Nothing changed except that I put this in order.
*****************************************************************
Hello John! At the presentation in San Diego, you put out the following timelines:
1) Theory Modeling: aug. - sept. 2001
2) Simulation: sept. - oct. 2001
3) Prototype System Design: nov.2001 - feb. 2002
4) Prototype Implementation: dec.2001 - feb. 2002
5) Carrier Trials: march - july 2002
6) Design Review: jan. 2002 forward
7) Gen 1 Asiic Development: dec. 2001 forward
Are we now on step 4 (prototype implementation)? Is in-house testing a part of this step? Will New Visual be revising any of these timelines? It is my opinion that it is VERY important that investors are kept abreast of any possible delays so that we are not left wondering what is going on at any given time.
Keep up the good work John.
Thank you,
Michael Wolf
Michael,
The timelines are a slowly moving tartget and have been revised in various ways for each presentation. The Salem timeline page has just been printed and has some adjustments to reflect the best estimates. We are not at all interested in suggesting timelines as a form of appeasment and if adjustments are warranted, we will make them without apology.
John
John,
I wasn't asking for an apology. I was asking for a revision of the timelines if available. I have a good bit of my hard earned money tied up and I have also lured 9 others into this stock. They made their decision to buy on my word and will do the same on the sell side. They have been asking me about the status for a few weeks now so in order to help calm them I decided to write a simple e-mail to the person responsible for IR. If you are not interested in answering my question I hope that you can direct me to someone who is. And if you are not at all interested in suggesting timelines as a form of appeasement then I wonder why you put them out in the first place!
Michael
Michael,
Sorry if my response was inconsiderate of your question, it was not intended that way. In general the timelines have not shifted much. In future documents we will refrain from including the timeline page to avoid confusion. While the list you have reproduced addresses items that must be completed before the final product hits the shelf, the manner in which they may drift one way or the other will not substantially affect the final completion date. For example, if we shift the carrier trials to accommodate either a specific carrier or a specific product, that does not mean that the testing has not yielded the results to allow us to move forward on the final product. The carrier trials are more for public relations than for substance.
I appreciate your involvement in our company and your consistent communication. I also appreciate that you feel a responsibility to those who have trusted you to be shareholders. I share that feeling and am determined to do my best to insure that neither you nor your friends are ultimately disappointed.
John
John,
Thank you for your response. I'm not concerned in the least about a little PR. I realize that you have things going on at this time that prevent you from disclosing information that you'd otherwise be more than willing to share. Press releases are a natural result of progress made by the company and I do not expect you to release one to satisfy the short term expectations of shareholders. I focus more on results and will likely check in from time to time to see how things are coming along. It's just my nature as I have a company of my own and I like to know what's going on at all times. Whether the timelines shift one way or the other is of little concern as long as I am kept informed of any major delays. I will stick with this company due to many factors one of which is your ability to shoot straight as FD allows now as well as in the past. You do a lot for the little you get in return and I appreciate it. I believe you will be rewarded!
Kind regards,
Michael
Michael,
I genuinely appreciate your desire to keep current on any changes that are made. As with any business, we try our best to balance current information with best guess estimates for milestones. We are not always accurate on our guesses. Does that make us wrong? I believe that those who have dialed into our process will recognize the inexactness of the science of guessing and will be tolerant of adjustments. Unfortunately we currently have only one thing for our investors to focus on and that is monitored hour by hour. What is perceived as the most important elements of our future, announcements of white papers, field trials, alliances, etc., are really only outward manifestations of our focus. We will develop a product and it will solve a problem in the last mile. It will be adopted by players within the telco industry. To get there is often circuitous with complex dynamics that appear to be delays but often are strategic adjustments. Carrier trials are an example. The date of those trials is somewhat academic, but that is not what the shareholders perceive. However, because of the many political implications of those trials, we will offer a wide window of future dates to avoid being caught in a vise. In so doing, we frustrate those who have specific agendas for performance.
I need to go to a conference call, so will need to conclude this later.
John
