Bush threatenes Iran...
taken from transcript of President's address
------------
This begins with addressing Iran and Syria. These two regimes are allowing terrorists and insurgents to use their territory to move in and out of Iraq.
Iran is providing material support for attacks on American troops. We will disrupt the attacks on our forces. We will interrupt the flow of support from Iran and Syria. And we will seek out and destroy the networks providing advanced weaponry and training to our enemies in Iraq.
We are also taking other steps to bolster the security of Iraq and protect American interests in the Middle East.
I recently ordered the deployment of an additional carrier strike group to the region.
We will expand intelligence-sharing and deploy Patriot air defense systems to reassure our friends and allies.

GRSR holding up well....
if you consider how other larger solar stocks are taken it on the chin with oil dropping, GRSR is holding up pretty considering.
Looks like the 50 day MA has moved up to .71 or .72, sweet.
GiraSolar (OTC:GRSR)
RECENT EARNINGS
On November 17, 2006, GiraSolar filed with the SEC their earnings for the 9 months ending September 30, 2006. GiraSolar reported total sales revenue of $51,901,980, a gross profit just above $1 million, or 2% of total revenues. For the nine month period the company posted a net loss of ($321,184), or ($0.02) per share.
Revenues consisted of 80% from the sale of solar panels and power products, with the remaining 20% of revenue derived from the buying and selling of poly-silicon to strategic partners.
Ludlow Capital feels the company would have turned a profit and positive EPS for the period if not for associated costs of going and being public in the US. If the company can also reduce the cost of sales and increase their gross profit margin from 2% to say 4% to 5%+ of revenue the company could begin to show strong growth to the bottom line and profitability.
REVENUE PROJECTION
In a recent article interview with SolarForecast, Mr. Wieland Koornstra, the CEO of GiraSolar, B.V. projected $60 to $80 million in revenue for fiscal year 2007. The company expects to book a total of $60 million in total revenues for fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2006. At 6 times sales of projected revenues GRSR could have a valuation of $360 million for fiscal year 2006.

China BioPharma (OTC:CBPC) - BIRD FLU VACCINE TESTING
(has copy of deadly H5N1 virus)
Avian (“Bird Flu”) H5N1 Virus – By February 2004, the avian or “bird” flu spread across 10 countries in Asia and caused dozens of deaths in Thailand and Vietnam. In China, the bird flu affected more than half of all provinces and territories. CBPC stands to be a major player in creating and mass-producing a vaccine for a potential pandemic bird flu outbreak. In June 2006, China Biopharma received a copy of the H5N1 virus (a deadly virus transmitted from bird to human), and has begun animal testing on a vaccine.

Russia cuts oil off from EU
MOSCOW (AFP) - Russian oil exports to Germany and Poland through Belarus were cut in a dispute spotlighting the European Union's vulnerability to tension between Russia and its ex-Soviet neighbours.
EU policymakers began debating ways to reduce dependence on Russia for energy supplies last year, following Moscow's cut-off of gas supplies to Ukraine. A quarter of EU gas needs are met by Russia.

Israel to Strike Iran
Israel has plans for nuclear strike on Iran: paper
LONDON (Reuters) - Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy Iran's uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons, Britain's Sunday Times newspaper said.
Citing what it said were several Israeli military sources, the paper said two Israeli air force squadrons had been training to blow up an enrichment plant in Natanz using low-yield nuclear "bunker busters."

warm weather effecting Flu
was just outside here in NY and it is so warm out, and supposed to be near 70 degrees tomorrow....in Jan? Crazy.
Anyways, i was wondering if the warm weather might be effecting flu outbreaks as the flu spreads as it gets cold. Not from the cold itself mind you, but because more people go indoors, and thus the virus can spread.
So, sure enough, i look at recent release and saw this. Need a cold blast to get some chinese people sick, lol.
-----
Chairman and CEO of China Biopharma, Inc., Peter Wang, stated, "Despite a slow start to the flu vaccination season due to unusually warm weather in China, China Biopharma expects continued deliveries in January. Combined with our other commercial vaccine products, our overall growth remains strong."
For the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2006, China Biopharma expects to complete the delivery of a total of 2 Million doses of flu vaccine, which would generate approximately $6.8 Million in revenues. The Company recognizes revenues upon actual use of its vaccines.

This is big for GRSR - next week
BRUSSELS - The European Commission will call next week for “a new industrial revolution” in the energy sector to boost competition, protect the climate and ensure security of supply, a draft paper from the EU executive showed.
The draft strategy proposals, obtained by Reuters on Thursday before publication on Jan. 10, call for cutting carbon dioxide emissions further, increasing energy from renewable sources and curtailing the powers of large energy companies.

Jan 18 - Democrats to give to green energy.....
Democrats Hope to Take From Oil, Give To Green Energy
House Democrats are crafting an energy package that would roll back billions of dollars worth of oil drilling incentives, raise billions more by boosting federal royalties paid by oil and gas companies for offshore production, and plow the money into new tax breaks for renewable energy sources, congressional sources said yesterday.
Eager to paint themselves as different from the Bush administration and the past Republican majority, Democratic leaders are targeting a manufacturing tax cut in 2004 that they say gave unneeded incentives to the oil industry, Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland said in a briefing yesterday. Hoyer said Democrats are also planning to force oil companies to pay royalties on deepwater Gulf of Mexico tracts leased in 1998 and 1999; the Interior Department has said that the leases inadvertently failed to include provisions for royalty payments once oil prices rose above certain thresholds.
The repeal of the 2004 tax cuts for the oil and gas industry would generate nearly $5 billion, Democratic lawmakers said, quoting estimates by the Joint Committee on Taxation. The royalty payments would yield between $9 billion and $11 billion, Hoyer said.
But energy industry and congressional sources said that the details of the package remain in flux, in part because of disagreements among Democrats over how the revenue would be used and whether to also roll back oil and gas industry incentives in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which was supported by many Democrats.
Democratic leaders said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would introduce the energy package on Jan. 18, toward the end of the "100 hours" of legislative initiatives.
Renewable energy lobbyists said that would set off a feeding frenzy among boosters of hydropower, nuclear, biofuel, geothermal and solar energy. Solar producers, for example, have a proposal to expand and extend tax credits for residential solar installations for eight years, which would cost $400 million.

found a good oil chart
one of breakpoints old ones, but shows that oil needs to hold $58, and especially $57.13 on a technical bases. If it breaks that level it could really head south. Hopefully 4.5% drop in one day may bring insome traders to test the support, but this warm freaky weather has to break. Actually a bit spooky.
