Despite what your board thinks there's no way to KNOW until there is an actual result. Based on my own DD here combined with the DD from others I clearly like my chances.
I love the effort here. I'm sorry Ram hurt your feelings. Shareholders here are very aware of the company's past and the risks that come with stocks that aren't reporting. We like our odds with where we are in the litigation process. You don't have to agree, but frankly, this board isn't active enough for you to scare anyone.
Guarantee that show would produce more revenue than SFOR's last quarter
You and ram should host a financial talk show
When do you think the revenue shows up then?
Next quarter. If not, next year, if not, year after that
https://www.google.com/amp/s/techcrunch.com/2017/04/27/microsoft-meets-expectations-with-23-6b-in-revenue-azure-revenue-up-93/amp/
Microsoft has been getting paid from azure for multiple quarters....
It's all right in front of you man. I'll keep checking periodically to see how that revenue is working out for you
Are you telling me that the CEO would tell you that there's no revenue coming to his own company and you wouldn't believe him?
Have you emailed Kay yourself?
So you don't believe the financials? The 8k? The emails? Have you emailed Kay yourself? He will tell you.
I pop back in here every few days ago and am just baffled that this is still an argument. The 8k says one time payment, they pick at the wording of it. The financials don't show any new revenue, they say it's probably just a delayed payment, even though Azure is the product that uses the tech and has been out for multiple quarters. Emails from Kay are shown saying it was a one time payment but "those can be faked" but no one takes the time to email him themselves. At this point WBC, just let them believe what they want. You can come back later with the "I told you so's". You won't get through to them no matter how much logic you use.
I find it very interesting.
Maybe it was delayed because of the holiday?
Maybe they settled?
Who knows...
Thanks Ram,
I was obviously familiar with the role Billy Carter played with UOIP but hadn't really taken the time to dig up any information on him. I was very impressed. Ram covered quite a bit in his message but I was able to find some additional information.
He owns a company called Clouding IP that looks to acquire patents that are being infringed on and he has had some big success.
https://www.bizjournals.com/triad/print-edition/2014/03/21/a-troll-or-a-foe-of-trolls.html
In this article, it goes over how he purchased some patents from Symantec and then proceeded to sue Apple, Microsoft, Google and settled with all three. Some cases continue, but Carter says Clouding IP has settled its dispute with the media companies. But he won’t go into detail.
“We’re bound by confidentiality, so I can’t discuss it other than to say we were pleased,” Carter says.
What I find the most interesting in regards to UOIP is that Clouding IP isn't the one who acquired all of the shares and the patent, it was just Carter himself. This is a man with a lot of experience in this area of litigation and he went in with his own money to be involved in this case. That's very encouraging to me. It also provides me a lot of comfort knowing that the financing of this case is in good hands. It should be exciting here pretty soon.
is this sarcasm? lol
The only catalysts moving forward are literally all speculation...
This should be stickied
Lol thank you!
This argument is pointless. Keep the dream alive fellas. I'll be back after the next q
I'll ask you about it after the next q and every q after when it still doesn't show up in the financials. The settlement occurred in January of 2016, what is your reasoning for it not showing up yet?
Do not argue with me until you've emailed Kay and gotten his response
Not to mention the proof is in the fins bud...
Email Kay yourself. He'll tell you. There were multiple responses from him posted on the board. I know one was from Ram and there were a couple others. Including the almighty zpaul. I apologize that I can't spoonfeed you any proof but I highly suggest you take it upon yourself to ask Kay.
the timing of his disappearance is interesting
It has been confirmed multiple times by Mark Kay via several different emails and interviews that there is ZERO revenue coming from Microsoft. The settlement was a one time payment. This was sorted out months ago. They are technically the company's largest but that is because no other customer has come close to the 9.7 million that MSFT paid in the settlement
I was all in on this post until you dropped the Microsoft line. They technically are the largest customer because of that one time payment from the settlement. However, saying that they are the "biggest customer" is very misleading as there is no revenue coming from them at all at this point. I've seen Kay use that line too and I don't want to accuse him of purposely misleading shareholders but that statement makes it very tough to argue
What if they don't settle soon though? I don't think it's fair to say they are close. They could be, but they could also take years. If there isn't a settlement in the next 12 months they are in a lot of trouble.
If they win the preliminary decision, which isn't long, I could definitely see a settlement coming at that point. I just don't think it would be a very lucrative one. Probably something similar to Microsoft if not less. Would help short term but still leaves a huge burn rate problem. I'd equate it to putting a bandaid on a surgery wound.
Bingo. Proof is always in the fins. The company literally writes out the plan. Not sure how that can be misunderstood. I assume a majority of posters just don't read the fins.
Make any joke you want about my name and heritage. You're the one who saw your profits cut in half the last month.
I've seen all the ACS stuff. We'll see how much if any SFOR gets off of this. Seems there's always another reason to push it back.
so youre arguing that it's going to be 14 months instead of 15?
https://www.arelaw.com/images/article/link_pdf-1-1415047685-ARElaw_Understanding_PTAB_Trials101414.pdf
Read the chart on the bottom right of the first page. SFOR just completed that second circle. Please explain how the 14 month timeline is incorrect...this is a standard IPR process.
I agree. I'm sure we'll get something from Kay saying something like "these deals take time, they're complicated, they'll get done beginning of next year"
quick question for the board,
After the last 10Q the price remained well over a penny despite some pretty alarming numbers. The consensus seemed to be that the deals that were coming had not come as of Q 1 so the poor numbers were to be expected and the deals would be announced soon. It is now almost September...where are these deals that were supposed to be coming in the second half of 2017?
I don't want to speak for Ram here but I believe he is referencing a PTAB trial, not a trial for the district court. Most patent lawsuits never see a jury trial in a district court but many do go through the entire PTAB trial in which the judge is the US Patent Office. Typical Timeline for those is no more than 12 months from the time it was instituted.
My message was worded poorly. Institution means the the PTAB decision. A lot of companies try to settle with a lowball offer before they get to the PTAB. UOIP obviously didn't settle and then went on to win the initial IPR rulings. To me, it is a very positive sign because it's been discussed on this board how beneficial it is in trial to have the PTAB on your side. Not to mention it means UOIP doesn't plan on settling for a number much lower than they think they deserve.
I was able to grab some. wish I could've grabbed more though
It sure seemed like it. Now it's like Christmas for anyone with some funds available
Ram has posted a link to all of the court docs several times. It includes the scheduling order and all of the previous updates.
