But we also have snakes... not just the noxious kind like garter snakes, water snakes, king snakes, etc... but the bad boys: copperheads, water moccasins, stump tailed cotton-mouth moccasins, and the occasional timber rattler. I keep a Remington Wingmaster 20 gauge loaded, just inside the door leading to my back deck, and when I get a chance I relieve those vipers of their torturous existence on this earth. So as you can see, there is a limit to "live and let live."
When you put it that way................well, let's just say I see your point, lol. I guess miller fits in there somewhere. Btw, I live near a river bottom and also keep a couple of "bang toys" in convenient locations. Never know when a wolf or coyote might wonder a little too close. We have been seeing more coyotes than usual this spring. Probably due to all the flooding nearby.
Soon the only one's left will be dmiller and a few day traders, and the moderators of course.
Dzr, speaking for myself, I read this board and Jimlur's every day and I could do without all the bickering. I agree that the mods over there delete your posts when they shouldn't, but it seems you have a bone to pick with a few posters over there. Dmiller irritates almost everyone most of time, but for some reason you let him get under your skin more than the others. How about "live and let live"..........maybe by ignoring Dmiller, he will stop baiting. He seems to strive on attention, so why give him attention? Plus, many new investors visit Jimlur's board and I doubt they find the bickering attractive to our investment. Just sayin............
Btw, I'm long IDCC and very seldom sell any shares! As matter of fact, about half of my portfolio is IDCC.
What's with the bigger than usual spread between the bid/ask all morning?
42.32/42.38 isn't such a big spread.......is it?
Thanks! Maybe it's time for a C-section, lol.
M3S, what happens if the decision takes longer than 180 days? Is there any research available on this? Thanks!
I'm hoping for: (X) Reversed and remanded .
Yes, I too would like Dzr to post a link supporting his "facts". I hope he's correct, but need something to back up his post.
It is also a place where when confronted with budget crunches they don't cut education and/or healthcare first.
Just sayin'...
I imagine other facets of Bangalore are not as excellent as their education and healthcare or their residents wouldn't be coming here for jobs. IIRC, the greatness of a country is determined by how many people are trying to cross it's borders. I highly doubt Bangalore has nearly the illegal immigration problem as do we here in the U.S.
Also, just sayin'....
Good point! We may have avoided a snow-ball effect. Scratching my head........it still seemed inappropriate to halt trading!
Imbalance.............Our volume might be a bit higher than normal, but surely doesn't qualify as imbalance.
I'm still trying to understand how all this fits in with the "halt" this morning. It just doesn't make sense!
Apple! This is the only logical answer. IMO
IDCC was halted this morning pending news!
Down $3 or 7% right out of the gate. It seems our PR dept needs to hone their skills a bit.
Joel, good to see you are keeping a close eye on the CAFC. And, I tend to agree that if this was an affirmation it would have been over a long time ago. JMO however.
Ummm, you must have me mixed up with somebody else. I started accumulating IDCC shares in late 2003. IIRC, I bought in the $14-$18 range. Kept adding shares on dips until S/P went above $28. My cost average is about $22. Have not sold any to date.
Data, I think the chart you posted is inaccurate. IIRC, our S/P shot up to around $80 in 1999/2000. Your chart only shows about $40.
Thanks!
Btw, investors appear to be gearing up for a positive CAFC report. We are up almost a buck. We'll see how fast the S/P drops after 11:00 a.m.
DnDodd, just what does FUD stand for? I've seen it used but never understood it's meaning.
I owned ADSX a few years back. IIRC, they designed the micro-chip implant that is used in pets. A little "rice" shaped chip. I think I paid $4-$5 a share back then and sold it for a loss. At that time the CEO was Sullivan......not sure if he is still there.
Yes, I saw that on the news. But, the red flag went up because there wasn't any means of communication within the compound. Apparently the compound was located in a wealthy neighborhood where everybody had internet service or ground-line phones.
Dzr, contrary to your post, they located Bin Laden because there wasn't any phone lines or internet service in the compound. So, in a sense, you are partly correct. This scenario is similar to a scene in "Wizard Of Oz"..........THE WICKED WITCH IS DEAD. IMO, what could be more perfect than if the CAFC were to come out today with a reversal?
Dzr, good job explaining this in easy-to-understand words. It's just hard to accept that everything IDCC does moves like molasses in January. I think it was Loop that mentioned how many investors have passed on waiting for fruition in this stock.
Hello Joel, glad to see you back here posting. Please come around more often.
Re: ending green. Today's recovery has to one of the best I've seen with no real news after the CC. HooRah!
Thanks Glenn! I had not seen this.
Could happen! We're up $2.40 from the low today. Not bad IMO.
On an optimistic note.......we're still six bits higher than we were a week ago.
Sheesh, when are we going to learn? Seems like the stock almost always goes up the day before earnings.........then drops like a rock the day after. Whoa's me!
Nice rise on low volume. +$1.01 on 47,000 shares. Let's just hope IDCC follows suit with decent earnings after the bell.
Sheesh, Wayne Newton is starting to look like Kenny Rogers :)
Jim, I just called and added all of our phone #'s to the list. Better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks Jim. I forgot about the "do not call list". I'll pass it on!
Fish, you are correct........it was from January. My mistake. I'm sure it will be there before months end.
Our dividend already shows in our Ameritrade account.
Sons, do you really think CAFC cares about "unsettling" the markets? I'm hoping we find out as soon as they are ready to release their decision.
Hmmm, Donald Dunner..........where have I heard this name before?
Does anybody know if a Government shutdown will affect CAFC? Just wondering if it delay the already slow process.
I have to agree. I don't know of a company with better fundamentals and potential than IDCC. However, I wish I had heard about PANL before the big run-up. I'll just hang in there with IDCC for at least a few more years.
MSFT and NOK are just patnering....but that doesn't mean that NOK gets the free ride.
Hmmm, I recall a partnership between IDCC & NOK some years ago that didn't bode well for IDCC.
