My point exactly! We could go back and forth everyday. Btw, we still have not given back the $6 from Friday. I doubt we will. You got shares?
Look again.........we're up 44 cents with 100,000 shares trading after 20 minutes.
I feel those tho entities are stiil lurking around and perhaps have already made an "arrangement" with our Flea.
In your opinion, what kind of arrangement was made and who is "our flea" ?
Good to see you post again, Bill. Until now, I never thought I'd like IDCC to be bought. But after watching Nortel bring in 3 times the starting bid, it's obvious IDCC just can't turn their patents into the profits expected by most shareholders. JMHO
Good post Loop. I was wondering the same as you. Why would any credit be given to IDCC management? Actually, the Nortel auction provided a sales tool for IDCC.
Just came back from a ride on the Harley...........and I gotta say.........IDCC is looking better and better by the minute. I'm almost thinking maybe if we are going see maximum ROI we should put our patents on the block. It's becoming obvious to me that management isn't capable of monetizing our IP to it's fullest potential.
I'm sure I'll hear feedback.......but can anyone argue the point? Give me a break, Nortel is worth $4.5 Billion..........We've gotta be worth far north of this. JMO
Someone mentioned $200 per share..........I agree!!!!!!!
$41.02
Thanks Postyle! These videos were helpful.
Sons, how will this Pico Chip affect the bottom line for IDCC? I looked around the web and couldn't anything.
It's a rumor alright.............started by you!!!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Just surprised that we're up on a down market day. Pretty decent volume too!
Ok, I'll bite..............why are we up a buck today?
Thanks for the link, Sons. That was a refreshing read..........even during this "waiting" period. I have to think that a decision will come any day now.
For some reason I can't get the CAFC site to load. Anyone else?
I agree, if Nokia got such a great deal, then why is their S/P down more than 4% so far today?
Owning shares of IDCC for the past 6 years is very similar to a horse & buggy following a carrot dangling about one foot in front of the horse. JMO
Hey Joel, we're all keeping a watchful eye on IDCC.............but hey, you gotta sleep. I noticed your last post at about 3:00 a.m. and your first post this morning at about 6:00 a.m. Btw, I'm sure most here appreciate your contribution to the forum. Keep up the good work, but get some sleep too :)
It's nice to see IDCC get off to a decent start this morning. Up almost 2.5% early on.
As a very long term shareholder I am aware of the Company's shortcomings; I don't need to hear them shouted from the mountaintop.
Yep, I've only been invested for about 6 years and agree that we don't need to hear this from mountain tops, but I think it's a good thing for mgmt to hear it. Or maybe it's even better for mgmt to hear us hear it.
I posted the other day that I thought Espy's rambling dialogue, broadcast as it was to everybody that wanted to hear it, did more to damage the shareprice than anything Clontz or Merritt had to say.
You might be correct about the affect on S/P, but as a shareholder I'd rather hear the hard facts as told by Espy, than to keep repeatedly hearing "sugar-coated" comments from Merritt and Clontz. To me, Espy said it the way it is. Of course this is JMO.
Jim so sell your shares and stop the incessant complaining. You do what you want with your shares for the good of your family. But the dogging isn't helping.
Sheesh, that's pretty harsh treatment for someone who has devoted many years to running IDCC forums. Come on M3S, chill a little........maybe go make some bricks.
Thanks Ron! I couldn't agree more.
Good point, but they get paid no matter how the stock performs. Shareholders only get paid if the stock performs well.
I think that is a one dimensional, simplistic argument used to further your agenda.
I don't have an agenda......just a desire to see our investment in IDCC grow to it's potential. Btw, Mr. Espy isn't just an average investor, IIRC he owns several hundred thousand shares. I believe he is one of the largest individual shareholders of IDCC so IMO what he says carries some clout. Whether you like it or not, he does make sense.
I do too. But it is a personal decision.
Sooooo, apparently you and I have more faith in IDCC's future than does upper mngt???
I think I answered that already. Diversification.
Sure you did, but stop and think about how many shareholders on this forum are over-weighted with IDCC (including me). If investors believe in this company why not hold shares until fruition........or at least until "perceived" fruition?
And yes, I understand a lot of guys here trade IDCC regularly.
Dndodd, maybe I heard it wrong from Espy and Clontz, but it seemed like Clontz almost agreed with Espy that management (except one) bought shares on the open market. Plus, most of management sold a lot their option shares.
Question: why would a financial professional advise against buying common shares?
ASM: Just listened to the complete meeting.
I must say the most interesting part was listening to Mr. Espy. He presented a lot issues that concern investors and I wasn't very impressed with Clontz's response. Apparently upper management is confident in their "business plan", but not enough to buy shares of IDCC on the open market. And, why is it that by the time IDCC signs someone for 2g, 3g is already being marketed? I have to agree that the perspective of upper management might be way different if they owned shares outright.
Just my 2 cents!
Thanks Squinge. I finally got it to open by using Adobe Flash.
Webcast: Ok, I went to IDCC's site and registered, then I received the email confirmation. Now what? There was no link to access the webcast. I use a Imac......maybe the webcast is only formatted for Windows. Anybody having this problem?
Btw, I know the webcast doesn't start until 11:00 EDT, but I want to be ready.
I agree Joel. I've heard this "cancer" scare referenced in the same danger levels of drinking coffee. Maybe 20 years from now they will have enough data to determine how cell phones affect our health.
Do you own shares of Nokia too?
Nope, never have. I did, however, own a few shares of ERICY for a short time back in 2004 or 2005.
GoodBuddy, maybe you should leave well enough alone. Postyle hasn't done anything to warrant this over here OR on Jimlur's board. Face it.......you made a mistake. We all do!
Postyle, the way I read the chart is that IDCC has fewer relevant patents than QCOM, but IDCC patents are more relevant. Am I reading this correctly? Tia
Anybody seen Mickey? I kind of miss his commentary. He must be playing Bridge........or is it Cribbage?
IMO, the s/p will slowly spiral down until we hear a CAFC decision or other relevant news such as re-signing LG. Now, your turn!
The market is only up half a point while IDCC is up almost 3 points. And, yes I was aware the s/p was up before announcing webcast. Maybe you would be so kind as to explain the 3 point rise!
I find it hard to believe that announcing a webcast of the ASM would create a S/P bump of $1.50. Especially on low volume!
Hmmm, we're up a buck in early trading with average volume. Someone might be hopeful of a CAFC decision today. Let's hope so!
By the way, "just saying" (definition .... a term coined to be used at the end of something insulting or offensive to take the heat off you when you say it.) Use of the term really doesn't get you off the hook if that's the purpose. Just saying..... mo. .. nic
Thanks Nic, for defining "just sayin" for me. I was unaware of that definition. From now on I'll just end my posts with "IMO". Take care! IMO
