From BUSINESS WIRE, a great post concerning the addition of Dr. Moe Afaneh, former Walgreen's Executive Pharmacist, to the CBIS team of talent. He appears to be an exceptional human being with motivation focused in a positive direction. Wonderful to learn CBIS has secured his assistance.
Certain statements in the document introducing Dr. Moe Afaneh caught my attention. He was, "...top of his class," and "....Driven by a thirst for knowledge, and determination to become a leader in the industry."
Also, " His steps are similar to most great leaders seen in the early days of the pharmaceutical industry, those who are constantly innovating, adapting, and continuously working quality improvement."
" His constant innovative methods, networking, and working with other medical centers made him one of the most successful pharmacies in Florida."
Dr. Afaneh remarks, " My motivation now is the incredible opportunity I have with the leaders of Cannabis Science."
As Dr. Afaneh continues, "...This is possible through Cannabis Science, and their accomplishments in the Medical Cannabis Industry, especially with their focus on cancer. It's a bit of motivation mixed with a touch of passion to accomplishing things others have not that have positive results for patients."
And lastly, " We didn't used to think that society is ready for Cannabis to go down the throat, now we see great amounts of evidence that patients are ready for this, and other solutions of absorption."
Boy! I'm glad I got into CBIS at five cents. I expect to look back fondly on this thought as we all move along together down a healthier road of life. Thanks for your timely arrival, Dr. Moe Afaneh.

You might be thinking in the right direction. If one takes a comparative perspective concerning two billion shares at seven cents per share then the aggregate value is about 140 million dollars. This would not be an unmanageable sum for many of the Big-Pharma giants to consider. Of course, this is a "high-side" estimate.
Then we have the legal status of current law relative to CBIS, and the green sector, in general.
Of course, it helps to cultivate a perspective concerning why MMJ is illegal in the first place. One hard-hitting authority asserts the issue is all about HEMP, and not MMJ. One finds a little gem about the "hemp-factor" buried in this lengthy video presentation of 2-hours forty-minutes. Fairly sure one gets to the hemp story within the first hour. Also, you may need to scroll through sections with poor sound quality. This tape has plenty of meat on it though. I still need to complete my viewing.
If the entire future of hemp-related products "bit-the-dust" through one act of betrayal, then, it stands to reason the injustice can be rectified by employing the very same democratic process, though now in all fairness, and transparency. Let this be the time to redirect the errors of our past. It takes men and women of courage, and moral backbone to stand tall, and be counted.
Hopefully, the link below will open the proper presentation.

Thanks. It stands as no real surprise that the innately noble instincts, as observed in the mentality and actions of our Democratic forefathers might transfer by way of hearing to our duly elected Congressional Representatives. I'm smiling again. Try it out.You will like it too. If the elephants will carry the gavel of honor, and truth, I will follow.

Louie, many thanks for your informative post with its link to a Dr. Bob interview from October of 2010. The reading is a piece-of-work, but well worth it since the article provides insight into the thinking of Dr. Bob. He is one smart dude, and committed to the cause of truth. After evaluating the information one might begin to understand why CBIS is in no big rush to post claims of definitive results. I feel certain Dr. Bob recognizes the value of appropriate "timing." For me, the impact of viewing the material gave me greater "Peace Of Mind" concerning the intentions, and measure of talent at CBIS.
If anyone has the time, and inclination the link below should open the page.

Great to see this information is available. Extremely grateful for your contribution. People should realize The Silver Tour tape is 2 hours and 40 minutes long so I am taking a break at 1:07 after the testimony by the Florida Congressman from Palm Beach, Jeff Clemens.
Also, a few of the sound tracks are hard to follow due to poor quality, but they can be fast-forwarded through. I am far more hopeful now concerning the positive direction taken to get the facts and history out concerning the medicinal value of MJ legalization. Unreal stance to hold when our war veterans are denied MJ medicine they need due to politics. The Silver Tour is something not to be missed for those seeking the truth. Not everyone wants the truth, for reasons some of us understand. Easy to grasp which way the momentum is moving. It's just a matter of time. I am still a firm believer in the potential of networking to reach the general public. Boy, the moderator sure has a compelling story to tell.
Link below should open the presentation I just watched.

I appreciate the focus of your thinking concerning CBIS in its entirety. I wonder if you were able to view a particular documentary piece about the history of MJ and it's extensive use for medicinal purposes? I found it very informative. You'll need about 48 minutes to evaluate the presentation.
I had not realized MJ was legal, and in popular use until 1942, and especially recommended for asthmatic conditions. Nor was I familiar with the research of Dr. Tod H. Mikuriya from 1990-2004 when he worked for the National Institute of Health. He compiled a compelling list of uses for MJ.
Hopefully, the link below will help you take a look.

Your link to video extremely informative concerning history and function of MJ as a medicinal protocol. Most historical information as presented was NEW to me though I had realized MJ use for medicinal purposes goes back thousands of years. An amazing presentation. A bit frustrated since the tape froze up on me at 15:33. Hoping to see the rest somehow. You seem to have access to fabulous information which should give potential investors in CBIS Peace Of Mind.
I feel any CBIS investors who resist watching the presentation are missing a fantastic opportunity to learn more. Tell me if I have it wrong! Easy to see accomplished academics put the presentation together. This gives me a great deal of hope toward a brighter future for CBIS. I continue to see CBIS as a snowball rolling down an vast slope of damp snow. For those who never rolled snowballs in damp snow, you may not get the analogy. Thanks again.

I hope CBIS will weigh the advantage of moving their operation to Canada where they are less likely to be obstructed by government. At least, have a backup plan to move abroad. That would result in another huge loss for the U.S. economy caused by special interest manipulation, and basic lack of awareness. Many voters would take note. Obama does not appear to be "walking his talk." ....A sad state of affairs at a time of great need.
However, we have come a long way fighting formidable resistance to the acceptance of MJ related products. So maybe this is the time in history to make a breakthrough. The entire "Green" sector is in early infancy. Does America have the capacity to take proper steps to take control as an innovator of this emergent field?
We have all been conditioned to distrust PINKS due to their dicey nature based upon personal experience. This looks like an entirely new ballgame so one needs to put the issue in proper perspective.
How does one get a clear read on actual intentions of the FDA? Recall how the FDA allegedly skewed results in drug trials of Dr. Stanislav Burzynski's antineoplastons by allegedly altering his protocol to achieve ineffective results. It takes work to locate unbiased information. Even Wikipedia has accepted a thumbs-down conclusion about the cancer fighting potential of antineoplastons since they listened to the NIH, and the National Cancer Institute. Those concerns appear to have significant connections with Big Pharma. Don't forget cancer prevention is a trillion dollar industry. On the other hand, the Department of Defense study produced a more positive outlook. Apparently, Defense took an unbiased look, and they must have followed Dr. Burzynski's protocol.
The link below should help you locate a more optimistic outlook about antineoplastons.

Curious, how shady operators apparently get protections against liability under the legalistic umbrella of the Securities Act, Section 27A, and the Securities Act of 1934, Section 21E. Also supported by the Securities Act Of 1995. Often referred to as "The Safe Harbor Statements."
I wish people would comment about this factor, and how it relates to our world of investing.
It looks like the effect of having such sweeping protections results in the vanishing of trillions of dollars worth of assets, over time. Am I missing something, or what?

I still believe "networking" will be the big driver of change propelled by the momentum of internal CBIS dynamics.
One cannot reason with a stone. Some people lack the capacity to evaluate the evolutionary history of humanity, and why MJ derivatives have been relied upon as medicinal cures practically, "forever." Term not intended in an "eternal" sense, but relative to man's brief existence on our planet, which looks like "forever" when measured by a single person's life. People with concealed agendas will remain unable to respond to the medicinal potential of MJ derivatives. Take it easy, Poor Dad, and give these brothers a rest.
I have a bit of insight dating from my early days as a child in respect to why humanity caught on to the use of MJ so soon. My buddy and I walked a long stretch of railroad tracks on the way home from school so we often met the afternoon freight train. We were devilish enough to enjoy taunting the conductor and the burned out looking wino who followed behind in the caboose. OK, to immature kids he may have just been a "very old dude," and not a certified wino, but why did he have a wine bottle in his hands at times? Oh, maybe to throw at us. Sure, we deserved it.
Our favorite ambush site to heft modest pebbles was from a dense patch of tall weeds which exuded a strong fragrant odor. One day, while we were waiting for the train, my buddy said, " Hey, maybe we should smoke it." You can guess what the weeds might have been. We didn't know a single thing about MJ at the time. I nixed his suggestion on the basis of "too risky" to take a leap into the unknown. I get the feeling I must have been a repressed child. My buddy let the thought go saying, "Anything that smells that good can't be too bad." How would our futures have changed had we lit up that early in life? To be sure, we would have been ahead of the curve. And then along comes CBIS.

Just want to share a few thoughts:
This is the most inactive board I've ever seen. Surprising, considering my modest holdings are up 120% since last Fall. Wish I could say the same for my other investments too.
I wanted to watch the CEMEX story unfold since I felt Senor Zambrano demonstrated the creative capacity to make the right moves. In general, I am attracted to the down-to-earth potential of cement, and its related products.
CEMEX did well with the 600,000 million Venezuela settlement, then later hearing reports about Bill Gates loading up. Lately, a series of positive news releases with much stronger financials surfacing. What more could an investor want? Also, they are smart enough to repurchase shares over time as greater prosperity matures. For now, I understand the need to pay-down the debt load.
I see CEMEX as the canary-in-the-mine-shaft relative to the overall health of the global economic recovery. Without CEMEX there will be no viable potential for global recovery. IMO, of course.
CEMEX retains impressive goals in respect to global dominance even though they took a downside hit from the Rinker deal. Just unforeseen "bad-luck-timing" which should heal over time. It looks like Australia is moving toward a healthier growth curve. Not sure if or how it might tie-in with the recent massive precious metals story in Australia. I will attempt to stay on top of progress "down-under."
Share price under ten bucks has to be a plus for new blood.
Mexico is a proud country full of talented people who relish the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to achieve on an impressive scale.

I'm not a doctor either. However, from a pragmatic perspective, results should assess the biochemical status of the tissue area treated. Biopsy should indicate if the treated area contains viable healthy cells in every sense of the word? Any irregularities should be noted, and followed up. Obviously, just my opinion. Not to be mistaken for medical advice.

Apparently, you ignore readily available information since it may not suit your purpose.
A few posts before yours I accessed the link by "Business Wire"
dated August 1, 2011. They clarify the relationship between CBIS and UF4A.
One finds: ..." with Hester-Perez's son's life in question, Hester-Perez chose to augment her son's therapy with cannabis under a state compliant recommendation. As a result, her son saw marked improvement and was able to eliminate approximately 80% of the prescription drugs from his daily regimen."
I noticed a quote attributed to Dr. Bob in the same paper, " Autism stands out amongst medical conditions because there is no medicine to treat it, and the only relating medicine are prescribed for the associated side effects and not Autism itself. Medical marijuana is the only medicine that can treat the Autism and without the horrific side effects of pharmaceuticals."
Also, "Approximately 10 other autistic persons have seen improvements since augmenting their therapy with cannabis therapy within UF4A's case studies. She hopes this will form the basis for official academic research in the future."
Most people realize this information points toward more research and the value of advancing medical MJ protocol.
You are fighting against thousands of years worth of human awareness. Many Americans have the luxury of affording prescription drugs. Let's assume you visited a less affluent country like Mexico, and you hurt your leg, and wanted to reduce pain. If you asked even children or grandmothers and grandfathers they are likely to tell you while flashing a very broad smile, " Take some marijuana, and soak it in alcohol then rub the liquid on after it turns forest green." Why do you think they were smiling?

To manifest an authoritarian leadership which places "The love of money" on a pedestal is contrary to the direction of New Age thinking. It appears to be an evolutionary insult to the current stature of Christian doctrine in process. Interesting to see what changes, if any, 2012 will bring. In the meantime, go CBIS. I know CBIS is in motion, and I think you do too.

As far as "fast tracking" the approval process goes, or any other part of the FDA procedure, I encounter difficulty reading the precise nature of goodwill or true intention buried under Federal rhetoric. Allegations related to the Burzynski story are a prime example of an apparent subversive agenda by regulators.
On one hand, Obama indicates the need to stimulate job growth, but on the other, one finds signs of overt obstructionism. I see the interplay of ideological contention between opposing elements as a profoundly destructive force. Adhering to tenets of ideology naturally exude an impenetrable veneer which prevents any possibility of accord. This is not the same as having a spirited discussion over differences of perspective.
We see a clear example of this when Panetta says, "All options are on the table concerning Iran." While Ron Paul counters to the effect, "Talking should be one of the most basic options of all, but it doesn't appear to be on the table." Strange how we quickly move to, "Nuke the SOB's." Sounds kind-of-like the ghost of Nixon speaking, huh?

Good luck trying to buy under .02 If people were really thinking clearly, they might want to pick up CBIS anywhere in the nickel zone and just let it ride, and see where it goes by the time their children need a college education. As far as I can tell, all the "Green" zone stocks are in their infancy. If my investment style were "flipping" then I might reserve a block just for that.
Several years ago I met a man wearing "Hemp" attire from head to toe. He invited me to check the quality, and I was amazed. My comment: "My gosh, your jeans feel superior in quality to Levis." He smiled softly and said, "That's the point."

Is it absolutely certain CBIS must endure the FDA trials? If so, and Dr. Bob lacks funding then piling on anecdotal cures through self-medicated treatment might produce enough momentum to shift public opinion. We have the timely gift of the "Occupy Movement" with its "99% paradigm" to demonstrate how awareness can be impacted. Don't underestimate the power of networking to transform public opinion. The Vietnam conflict came to a screeching halt due to public opinion by way of networking.
I realize the million dollar FDA fee for drug approval is their way of keeping the action in the hands of the giants. Maybe its time for karmic payback. Is the fee realistic as a fair cost to evaluate topical oils?
I hear you saying we need a visionary philanthropist to step forward. If so, I have no doubt they are already watching. People need to relax and allow the forces of persuasion to build and unfold. A handful of results is a skimpy beginning. I sense the efficacy of the medicine is real.
No offense intended, but I find European consciousness far more progressive. Perhaps, Dr. Bob might have an epiphany and move his MJ oil shop overseas to begin healing the rest of the world while a struggling American economy stands suffocating in the dust watching another foreign venture prosper since our leadership indicates a serious lack of visionary capacity. The Russians, among others, might relish such an opportunity, and make a gesture to subsidize Dr. Bob. Why not? Consider the potential of political power embedded in the "humiliation factor."
Best Wishes
I feel your concerns about FDA trials have legs. However, the overall issue appears to be more complex with numerous factors having influence. I often reflect about the entire "Green" sector in relation to history. Have seen significant change during my lifetime. Cultivating "perspective" may provide comfort for nervous investors. I recall the 60's when law enforcement personnel really didn't know what was going on. Also, recall accounts of unfortunates who were severely punished when the law found a tiny roach in their vehicle. In some cases, an entire life was ruined.
I just finished hours worth of reading about Dr. Burzynski's antineoplaston's protocol, and it's relationship to FDA trials. It appears to be a very emotional topic. Angry bashers attacking Dr. "B", mixed with stories from those who have been cured of cancer. Don't forget, cancer is a trillion dollar industry. Some pointing out how the FDA skewed results toward "ineffective" by altering protocol against advice of doctor "B." Then they try to lock him up for life, and make plans to procure his patent. Doesn't look like friendlies, does it? After spending millions trying to squash the good doctor, surprisingly, his protocol moves to stage three clinical trials. Naysayers emphasize the protocol as synthetic. Good news is it has an organic foundation.
Dr "B's" lab says, "Chemically, the Antineoplastons include peptides, amino acid derivatives and organic acids. They occur naturally in blood and urine and they are reproduced synthetically for medicinal use."
As far as FDA approval goes be aware Bayer has entered the picture with the British concern GW Pharmaceuticals. Other corporate giants are making moves to get their fingers in the pie too. With the unlimited potential for massive corporate profits in the air attitudes appear to be shifting. More political pressure building in the States to remove MJ from schedule one status. Canada close to loosening restrictions since many people see acceptance as a way to undermine Cartel influence. Mexico has decriminalized possession for small amounts of "all drugs" over the last several years until the States jump in, and threaten to halt financing for the so-called "war on drugs." Then Mexico reverses policy. Recently heard Mexico sent a delegation to Washington to plead the same legalization perspective since they too now realize it is a potential strategy to put cartels out of business. One might agree, "The times they are a changin."
As far as blocking the momentum of CBIS: I imagine a snowball positioned on the lip of a vast gradual slope with nothing but damp snow ahead. CBIS represents the snowball. Does one see it in motion or not? Any volunteers want to stand in the way thinking they can halt or turn it back? As a collective of individuals, we have come a long way toward improved common sense. I see CBIS as a very attractive acquisition candidate. Dr. Bob may wish to retain control so he can shape its future as he sees fit. Time will tell.
Networking the issue is on our side as the older fixed-belief electorate continues to depart the scene while the fresh voting power of new blood arrives day by day. I feel we need to learn how to relax while considering the value of "thinking long." To me, finding the "Green" sector bouncing along in penny-land feels like the chance of a lifetime to obtain a taste of prosperity. Why do you think humanity has resorted to medicinal cures based of applications of MJ for thousands of years? From what I gather, our colonial forefathers made room for good ole MJ too. Public opinion will eventually work through the politics, and manipulation of MJ policy. Too late to turn back.

You can start to understand the FDA approval process by light years if you are willing to evaluate the documentary about Dr. Burzynsky who practices medicine in Texas. Essentially, the procedure appears to be preordained by the politics of money, and power. Don't expect fairness. You will understand if you take the time to watch the one hour 48 minute presentation. The part you need to hear the most is toward the end of the tape. Good luck getting there. Just click below.

I find your post of the Burzynski tape an authentic tear jerk-er. I hope people will take the time to watch it. It is hard to grasp the depth of conspiratorial corruption fostered by the FDA and Big Pharma. Unfortunately, this may indicate a bumpy road ahead for CBIS. My hopes are, we are on the cusp of radical change. It may take public outrage on a massive scale for the real truth to be told. The tape speaks clearly. Thanks for having the consciousness, and courage to share it. I had no real background on this issue, but now I do. I will pass it along.

Old News: Some say the term "Underworld-Money-Laundering-Scheme" was coined....
Suddenly see COIN debt listed at 114 million plus. Looks like the cutting edge of a radical awakening to me. I suspect the stench of their numbers can be rendered all the way to Hong Kong. Comes across like unadulterated hogwash. What might the COIN expense records look like? $50,000 for a case of pencils to three-fingers Eddy? $666,000 to "Slick Willie the gimp" who makes a handsome living hanging out in a weather-beaten trailer on the edge of a COIN landfill site passing rancid gas from the effects of an all-night taco binge? Of course, COIN is alleged to be paying $1,000 in overhead for each bottle of the trendy Slick-Willie soul-fortifying elixir so it can be auctioned off for a tax write-down at a Habitat For Humanity fundraiser. Hey, I'll take a case of the toxic-blow for a wooden nickel. Do you think they will take a check from my last Lehman Brothers account?
I don't want to rattle any cages, but if COIN management isn't operating under the apparent legally mandated umbrella called Racketeering then I have no inkling what the term is intended to mean. "Oh, you say the pro-active cons we are compelled to vote for rigged the game in favor of Corporate America?" (Good thing the general populace uses ample fluoride-laced toothpaste to numb their brains to sleep.) "And you say that's an authentic expression of the American Way?" "Boy, I sure get the smell of Democracy in action." But I don't really understand why all those hot-headed protestors are so angry about Wall Street. You say Wall Street is just a symbol for what?
Ecomike, if they did sell seats at the COIN conference November 22 and pass out edibles to the flock Ed is destined to look like a vegetarian Christmas tree before Thanksgiving. They could also offer Slick-Willie "taco-binge shooters" on the side for anyone desiring potent mind alteration. It has to be legal. Everything else seems to be. I'll treat Ed to all the "Slick-Willie sphincter shooters" he can handle. My curious dog asked me about the true meaning of CON-ARTIST with a spicy series of staccato barking I am unable to replicate. But I can always howl at the moon. I feel safe since it is such a good listener.

People have indicated Ed makes 1,000,000 per year. If true, ironic to note that Ed could purchase all OS for less than half of his annual salary. Every shareholder could be swept away in a gesture of finality. Then nobody is left with tangible holdings as a basis for potential legal action. Prospect of BK looks very real. The festering "seeds" for BK were sown way back in the days of the New Jersey catastrophe, a part of the States where WM is considered by many to be overseen by serious gangland interests. Is Ed just a "numb couch potato," an authentic victim, or is he playing the role of activist shill for big profit? Conference call on November 22 has high-drama potential beyond any current TV series if questions are allowed as they normally are. Ed can take the heat. He just needs to prep with a few extra shots of his favorite Irish blend.
