Any of you sign up for the investor's update? I did and the few things I got came way after the were already publically known. And I have only gotten 2 or 3. But nothing now for a while. I am sure based on Jacob's email that we will be getting something next week, but if not I may need to consider some other avenues like Guppy did to get my money back. And if they get better later I can then invest in them.
Yes it is low in price now and it may end up being really good later to have this price. But between now and then I may make the money I seek in other avenues. Also, if we do not get anything soon, and everyone decides to sell the price will just go down even further to an even lower price.
It can be looked at in different ways.
DANG! You guys are funny! lol :)
Penny stocks are good and bad. They can be just as shaky as any other stock but because they cost so little they are easy to get high numbers of shares at a low cost. So they are even more appealing to people who do not have that much money. Also, many new companies start up everyday and a good portion of them may not even survive a year. The startup cost alone can take 5 years just to recover the start up costs.
Even Google has shot up and down between 400-500 dollars this last year and a half. There can be luck involved but where you increase your chances of winning is research. Also, the company should be giving out information periodically so that you are always informed of whats going on.
But Guppy is right. To trade with the big boys the rules help provide a safer playing field. And as we have seen in the past few years even CEOs can go to jail. But the unknown and the less control can create more volatility that can drive a stock upwards or backwards at higher percentages more often. One thing you can not ignore is that the lower prices bring lot more people into the game who would normally not be in it which means a lot more emotional trading and with the only intent of making more money because they are broke in the first place.
Personally I do not want to lose like anyone else but I do accept the fact that I can and I play with money that will not bankrupt me. But I do not care if it is stocks or something else I do not like to be played and lied to, and I will expose anyone who does it and will do everything I can to make sure the reputation follows them as well.
Unless something majorly happens in here I will probably have penny stock in here riding the bumpy roller coast for some time to come. Ok, let's see we are almost done with this week. Which leaves only next week to get PR. Let's hope today or Monday. Good luck everyone in this and any other stock you have.
Good news could drive it up and it may just level off somewhere where it takes continuous good news to keep it up. If no news or bad news it will come back down. So lets look at it this way Guppy, you were down which worried you the most, now you have almost recovered that in just a few days. So you are mostly even and you still have 10,000 shares of bfde invested. So really you are in very good shape. If you lose the shares you are back to even, if it does sky rocket to a dollar then that is gain of $10k.
Not too shabby. This stock will not kill me if the company were to go bankrupt but I really want this to be a winner. It will not make me rich by far but it can help me get ahead. I do have a small chunk in the bank that I have been holding off on. I was at one time real close to buying even more and then made my mind up to wait. So I will have something to go on with but I would rather this be the win for me. I spoke highly of this stock last year at a time it was falling pretty good and told many of my friends that this thing was going to grow pretty strong this spring or summer. THey chose to stay away from this stock. So for me it would be like rubbing it in their face.
So BFDE, help me rub it in their faces!
you made a good move still Guppy especially if you have already gotten out of the red. You may be able to purchase again even if there is good news without it costing you as much extra as you have just gained. But at least you know you are making progress.
Find something you can believe in, and do the research. And if if you plan to sink a lot into it, fly out first and check out the company. It is a little late for me but I am looking at plane tickets now to OKC and the darn things are like $400 bucks round trip. Not much compared to how much I am in the red with this stock, but compared to when I went to Florida to see Slayer I only paid $70. Freaken awesome!
But I am preparing for possible trip out around the 12th of April if anyone else is interested. I am not firm on this yet though. I am just starting to look at prices and will not press the button to purchase until after PR or 15 days wait at the longest. I think it will be an interesting trip if I have to take it. Especially being I do not know crap about that area other than the news from the explosion caused by Timothy Mcveigh.
Pretty quiet today so I think I will post something to see what everyone thinks, little off topic but really I am not sure where it should go without creating a whole new board.
Anyways I have noticed a couple new trends in real estate down in Florida where there is actually big $$$ to be made. I just wish I had the million to start my own project. The trend I noticed is actually already being worked by small numbers and these companies are making good $$$ doing it.
If what I thinkhappens, the larger highly valued vacation homes will continue to come down in price. Some are already priced rediculously lower than the original intended price. I say simply this, town homes in Orlando area are going to boom because of demand in the $135k up to $200k price range. 1 year from now, there will be an increase for demand for smaller 1600sq ft single family homes with luxuries similar to the bigger vacation homes like small screened in swimming pool, on lake, etc. In about 3 years the people the salaries should start to catch up in the surrounding cities, and the bigger vacation homes will then be back in demand if northerners have not already jumped on this to boost these housing cost.
Keep your eyes open on these trends, if you notice a company building town homes right now in Orlando area, the demand will make that company grow big time. I think there is a new boom coming in that area. If you want to chat about it let me know via private message or email. I will give you more details as to why I think this and maybe I can find links which demonstrate where I have already started seeing the trends take shape.
I am not saying to just buy into real estate, I am saying watch this area of Orlando and surrounding cities, and get in if you can. The demand is heavy right now and the one location I stopped at was selling faster than they could build.
Personally one day I would like to start my own company in banking, brokerage, real estate, and construction of residential and commercial property down in that area. I am just passing on my thoughts. But for now I am just passing the info on.
I am not sure where to post this but you know even though we are no longer in a housing boom there is really a lot of $$$s that can be and in some cases need to be made. I have a friend who I have been discussing real estate and other investments with for years. He has actually done pretty well with some apartment building he purchased because he got locked in at a really low price prior to the boom and got lucky because the boom create a lot of equity in his buildings. But he does not understand how one trend can affect the market and bring on new trends so he is never one to really act on an idea until it becomes proven.
I have visited Orlando, FL several times this year and noticed a couple of things. During the boom the market was in favor of vacation homes because they yielded higher gains when sold as opposed to housing that was needed for the average person living there. Some people who seen this house climbing in price decided to take a risk, start a second mortgage and buy one of these vacation homes in hopes to make some $$$. Now there is this saturated market down there of vacation homes that hardly anyone wants.
During this time the average worker down there was left out of the loop. And many have even had to move into trailers. I told my friend that who ever cam in here and started building smaller newer homes between $120,000 - $200,000 would be doing these people a favor and while these homes may not make as much profit for each it is still a huge business.
This last time I visited I found a company doing something similar to this, they started building cheaper townhomes targeting the $150k, $165k, and $180k range that even had options for garages but with less floor space. I also recently seen an article I believe on msn.com where the discussion was about the Miami market being the trend towards lower priced homes. Each home only makes about 15% profit but the amount of house needed are great.
Personally I do not want to be a trend follower I want to be a trend setter. One day I hope to have millions to jump on an opportunity like this for developing what is needed. I would also love developing a company known for quality because poor quality was one of the biggest complaints I heard while I was down in Florida.
I wish I had a company to ask for your support and investment in me for a really large project like this but I do not. So I suggest to you to look into this. If you see a new company targeting the lower price homes jump on the opprotunity and invest in them, read articles, go down and visit like I did and take a ride around. You can not get a full picture unless you do this. Many of the home owners took their houses off the market through the realtor in order to be able to lower the price of the house by what they would have had to pay commission on. Some people litterally used black magic markers to make their For Sale by Owner signs.
The more expensive vacation homes are beginning to bottom out now. A house that was targetted at $450k a year or so ago can not be purchased for $300k - $350k. This is a good opportunity for higher salary northerners to begin buying winter and retirement homes down there again at a much lower price. I have even thought about trying to be a match maker for these houses to collect referals if the house close. The referal of course would be a set price and much lower than what the agents were originally charging.
All of you investing in real estate, check this out and then tell me what you think.
Thanks
Thanks again Jacob for everything and your info. I know if you guys are doing everything you can to push forward you are busy and so I will not bother you with like daily calls or anything like that. We are not asking for anything illegal like insider trading information, but something would have been nice.
Ok, you have established yourself as Jacob Paine but do you know who Ringo is?
Thanks Jacob for clarifying some things. I sent emails to your company several times and never got a response back. I have been wondering for some time if you or anyone else from Bedford even looked at these posts.
Obviously we all want to make some money here but we also want something we can believe in. And I think those of us who are here now are the ones who probably believed in your company the most back when we first received info about it. And so at a time like this it seems most frustrating and like a dream breaker.
Quite honestly even if you were losing money but your heart was to become the next Chesepeake Energy I would continue to invest in your company hoping it would help you get to this level. I am not so sure if this is possible with out some lucky finds early on though.
Now I have said some things on here about coming out there. And if I would have found that this is a cool operation I would have been happy, glad to have met everyone, and I would have came back to this board and other investors I know with good information. But it was getting to the point that I wanted to see something with my own two eyes rather than just possible misleading information over the internet. Especially if this whole thing became a bust.
Thanks again
Hey kmx_swing, I am frustrated like many with this stock and I was blowing off steam. But in the past I have seen similar situations where someone outright lies about something and they are able to continue playing up the lie for a long time making it seem more and more convincing. Some people back down immediately when soemthing is not right and some will stay longer. Those who hang on to hope the longest usually are the ones who ignore all the signs and usually lose the most in time and money. It is rare that in cases like these that in the end they work out.
I did mention I would not buy more of this stock, and until now I have not said whether or not I would sell. I was going to sit it out also. I feel like one of the guys mentioned above. But I decided to also move on to something more exciting for investments and easier to follow. I would rather invest in a truthful company that is more actively involved with it's investors even if they fail. I want to find the perfect product or service that I believe I could use, that I can believe in, support it as an investor, and even actively support it by helping get the word out etc.
Right now my expectations are that I will lose everything that I have invested in this company. At least until the company can prove me wrong. Some of my post come off like I am real mad and want to get a mob together at BFDE. I am really a mellow guy but I do believe in accountability. So if these guys deliberately stooped us to steal from us, then I want to go there and let the whole community know what these people are doing. I want to let the press know and who knows maybe they will be investigated. I can then accept my loss as a lesson learned, but it has to be a lesson learned by them also.
You see this is what stinks the most about this situation, if they were serious about being in business and really wanting to make a name for themselves they would be telling us what is going on. They would say "Hey, we had a serious blow out that is going to cost us a lot of money and time to clean up before we could get back on track. But I am starting to think that this was planned all along and who knows, a hole may have never been dug for these guys. They just took the riches they gained off of us, and bought 15 percent stock in another company. Now they have good stock in a real company and we do not. This is worthy of a beating.
I am not so sure Carl Swan should be considered a legend. In a small way around his neck of woods he might be but I did not know his name until within the last year. And it seems he has dealt more with smaller companies. He has not built an empire like Exon or BP.
Has anyone ever thought it to be weird for a start up company having a 25 year old as vice president? How about we get some investors together this spring and all meet there to go have a chat with these guys and tell them how we feel.
The 109 listed investors probably could have owned 15% of this other company had we just put our money on them instead of Bedford Energy.
I think it is in good interest to keep this months of IP logs for those who connected to this board. If there is anyway Ringo One or anyone else can be linked to someone at bedford energy trying to keep the price hyped up, I believe inside trading would apply here. What do you all think, should I ask?
The reason why I think Ringo One is suspicious is because everytime something is mentioned negative and he sees it he waits for one of us to second guess the possibility then responds that things are possitive and that are second guess is probably right, which then keeps us going longer. Go back and look at messages.
Lessons learned, if something does sound right, ask questions and get answers you are comfortable with before buying stock in them. Go with your gut rather than trusting people on a board. While everyone on that board seems to feel like a team they are really out for themselves.
Research, research, research. And if you find a company that sounds good as an investment but you also think they have a product that could be catching and you believe in it, then maybe that company could even be better to invest in a little more than others. If I can sell at $.30 tomorrow I will lose around the same as you Guppy. I did not have as many shares as you, but I bought at higher prices first.
This sucks!
Failing is one thing, deliberately trying to rip me off is another.
Personally I would like to talk to them in person and try to get a feel as to whether or not these guys were deliberately trying to rip me off. I will better be able to read them by the way the respond to my questions and with what answers. Being they were not truthful in the beginning it may be that these guys do not even have any wells and that this was a deliberate act to scam investors. It is up to the investors now to get even if this is the case.
I wonder what Ringo has to say now.
I don't hate you Guppy, you did what I would have. But you were the one who made the call and got to the bottom of this first. This shows that sometimes it may be hard to put yourself out there but it is that type of person who gets ahead. Any one of us could have called. Personally everyday I kept hearing someone Ringo I think say that they were in contact with their guy over there and everything sounded good. This may have been someone who worked there. This could be worth investigating.
Good Freaken work Guppy! I am not sure if I would have remembered that many details from a call like that. You documented it very well. I still want to go find these people now and have a little conversation with them so that I can let off some steam.
They played it perfectly and did so to maximize what they could get out of investors. For some reason something kept telling me to hang in there but internally I felt something was wrong. When something does not feel right, does not sound right, it probably isn't.
We have been stooped. They might have paid Carl Swan just to use his name kind of like Carlton Sheets or Peter Norton to Symantec. This is discusting. Something else I had noticed is that real companies like this have a lot more PR and the stock cost is way lower.
There office better be where they say it is when and if I go fly out there. I do not want to have to be looking for these guys. I will make plans around the 15th if I have not heard anything by then.
I am going to try and look up some public records also on these guys to see how legit each of them are through http://www.ussearch.com.
Not sure if you guys use myspace but in case you hear of anything interesting either on this board about this stock or any others please notify me. My info is as follows:

I am not making any conclusion based on that, just thought I would add it like some of the other links. As a matter of fact I read this back before buying my first shares and did not think much of it then.
I do not think any of us would be here guessing, wishing, suggesting, etc. if we had some PR from Bedford. Especially if it had some numbers.
here is a good one about Carl Swan
http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/f/federal_deposit_insurance_corp/i...
Does not seem like a legendary oil man to me.
I do not think I will get anything back, I have never gotten a response back from them.
I wrote Bedford and told them it was understandable if they needed to keep something secret, but at least give us a date of when we will get the information we desire.
Hmmmm, could be. Here is what I would say if I were to find that out. OK, Carl you fooled me this time and I lost to a pretty good scam. Next time can you fool someone else and let me in on the secret so I can recoupe my money, maybe with a little profit.
Don't take this the wrong way Ringo, but really I do not know you so I am just throwing an idea out there as to a possibility.
Ringo could be the one trying to get as much money back as possible, comes on here to try and get our confidence up so that we want to purchase even more.
Ringo could even be Jacob.
No one really knows but Ringo. Whether or not this company is good or bad I have a feeling we will find out before long. But I think now is the time for me to make my final decision as to not buy any more stock until I know something better. I will not buy into empty promises anymore.
Keep in mind everyone that I am in this until something good or bad happens. I am in the waiting game. But I do not mind posting here the same as others to add to the mix. I find it interesting what we can find out together. I have pretty good patience but this does not stop my mind from wandering in diferrent directions thinking up hypothetical reasons as to why we are not hearing anything. But I would not do this if some news was provided by the company.
Why is the only communication coming from Jacob? Is he like the Prime Minester of Iraq who up to the last minute said they were winning the war and that the US was not invading their territory, but then after seeing him last the very next day the US tanks were rolling through where he filmed.
Well Jacob use to work for Heartland Energy, Inc so I did a search for this company and found this:
http://www.asc.state.al.us/Orders/2002/OV-2002-0018.pdf
This worrieed me a bit but then it really does not say anything definite as to whether this company, was in a real effort to drilling for gas/oil or if was a scam. Not sure how to take this.
Anyone else got a comment about this link?
I did not know they had a blow out until they published that it was under control and taken care of back in January. This is how bad the news is. They may not have even had a blow out but just buying more time. If talking about stuff now could ruin some ongoing deals that is one thing, but to not give any information is just wrong. There should be something to pass on so that we as investors feel like we have some level of communications. Like what happened to the COO, how is employee moral, how is the equipment aspect of the business going...
That is good news but also bad news. Because I know they were having some joint ventures but I also felt they had some on their own. Being partnered also reduces profits to each company. I will just have to wait for whenever this company decides to speak up about their status. It seems in the beginning they spoke up more to get people's interests and now that they have their operating money they need not talk about any possible successes or even failures. When something usually does not sound right, it is that way for a reason. But in the same sense by playing it this way could make this thing a gold mine. At this point in the game though, I am sitting this one out.
Later
Well I am starting to think someone is trying to bring it down. See I would do the same thing, but from what I found out last time if I put an order in for $.45 and the current price is $.31 the mm will buy it for $.31 and the sell it to me for $.45 so there is nothing I can do to help.
it seems someone keeps driving down the price, many hold out, and then at the end someone helps the price back up. probably simpler to do just because there is hardly no movement.
Something else to add, add one time I use to be able to see Bedford Energy as a lease holder for doing business in Ok, but now that does not appear to be the case. Did they lose their license, did they not renew their license, is this normal, or is this a sign something fishy is going on?
That is just too funny!
If it goes that low, I would more than likely do the same. Because at this point for this particular stock it is do or die time.
I noticed gas prices went up even more since I last got gas in my car. Do we know if we are going to hit the prices we hit last year which was rediculous? Man I certainly hope there is at least some news soon to help stabolize the price a little. The 15th would be good to have some news by. Throw us a bone people.
So far not such a good day for the price. But being that there is no good or bad news out, it must just be investors getting shaky. And of course it was just a small purchase at the lower price.
