White House Considers Strategies To Reduce Economic Hit If Border Is Shutdown
OAN Newsroom
UPDATED 1:04 PM PT — Wednesday, April 3, 2019
The Trump administration is considering keeping truck lanes open to alleviate economic setback if President Trump shuts down the southern border.
During an interview Wednesday, White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow said the administration is reviewing strategies to ensure trade is not interrupted. The trade representative said he has advised President Trump about the issue, but also said the president’s threat shows how serious he is about border security.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen suggested the administration is considering military resources to help with the crisis. She made the comment ahead of her trip to El Paso Wednesday.
Meanwhile, President Trump doubled down on his threat to close the U.S. -Mexico border in a recent tweet. He warned that if no action was taken, large sections or maybe the entire southern border would be closed.
Donald J. Trump
?
@realDonaldTrump
Congress must get together and immediately eliminate the loopholes at the Border! If no action, Border, or large sections of Border, will close. This is a National Emergency!
While the president hasn’t followed through on his threat, drivers at the southern border are already feeling the impact of the Trump administration’s efforts to handle the surge of Central American migrants entering the U.S.
“It’s been several days that the threats the President of the United States is making have been coming true, and it’s affecting third parties,” said truck driver Jose Cota. “In this case the manufacturing industry, transportation companies, and directly — and most strongly — on the operators, the drivers.”

This comes after hundreds of agents, who screen cargo at the border, were reassigned to immigration duties. Senior Homeland Security officials said the move was to blame for the slowing of legal crossings at ports of entry.
On Tuesday, Mexico’s foreign minister — Marcelo Ebrard — acknowledged the slow down was becoming a problem, but said a complete shutdown of the border is not expected.
“If we are not able to restore this very soon, this is going to economically cost both countries, because we are talking about one of the borders that has the most flow between countries,” stated Ebrard.
Meanwhile, the head of Homeland Security compared the situation at the border to a “Category 5 hurricane” disaster. Kirstjen Nielsen made the comment during an emergency conference call with cabinet members Tuesday night. She reportedly added that 900,000 people are coming to the U.S. this year “without any legal right to stay.”

How May I Close the Border? Let Me Count the Ways.
By Ted Noel
With the recent admission by Jeh Johnson that there actually is a crisis at the border, it seems even more likely that the spate of lawsuits against the president's emergency declaration will fail. But that has no effect on the multitudes attempting to scale the ramparts and overwhelm the United States. The Democrats in Congress will be of no help whatever, so President Trump is left with a single ally: himself.
That leaves open the question of what options he has. Article 2, Section 2 of the Constitution makes him the commander in chief of our military forces. But before we fix bayonets against a horde of mothers, there are other actions Donald Trump can take based on Article 2, Section 1. He is the chief executive, and all executive power is vested in him. Not in Congress. Not in some administrative agency. In him.
It is indisputable that if the government of Mexico were to enforce its own laws, we wouldn't be having this problem. But El Presidente López is no fan of Donald Trump and is quite happy to let these economic migrants be a thorn in Donald's side. So he sits on his hands and does nothing of substance.
While the president of Mexico has been purposefully idle, our president has not. He has been a whirlwind of activity on a host of fronts. Of particular importance, he has spent two-plus years keeping the promises he made on the campaign trail. He moved our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He browbeat NATO countries into paying their contractual share. And he cemented his support of Israel by recognizing the Golan Heights as Israeli. Finally, in the center of the Mexico question, he delivered the USMCA trade deal.
In short, "Promises Made, Promises Kept" is more than a slogan. It's reality for everyone, including El Presidente, to see. By now, López must know that Donald Trump's favorite book is Sun Tzu's classic treatise, The Art of War. A quick search of it yields multiple principles, with a few ideally suited for this situation.
"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting."
"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt."
"Supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting."
"The greatest victory is that which requires no battle."
Let's see how Donald Trump might go forward. Remember, he has already made it clear that he doesn't make idle threats. China has already had to deal with him.
If we remember that every element of border security is under Trump's command, and that we have a true invasion underway, then it is clear that every tool in the military's arsenal is properly available to deal with this problem. But I'd bet that those are late in the list. The first is much simpler.
The U.S. is Mexico's largest trading partner. As a courtesy, most trucks bringing goods from Mexico to the U.S. are functionally waved through the border check points. That doesn't need to be the case. If our inspectors were to be just a bit more careful, an awful lot of goods would back up in a hurry. Yes, it would pinch some of our businesses that source in Mexico, but the pain would be far worse on the south side. The price of guacamole would go up, but hey, I'll have Italian tonight instead.
Just this little bit of pressure might be enough to get El Presidente's attention. But if it's not, then we simply take the inspections up to detailed levels for every truck. That will ring some phones in Mexico City. And I bet one phone in D.C. would ring very quickly. Mexico cannot survive if we do detailed inspections of all goods coming north. And El Presidente has enough problems without this making them worse.
I would take bets that it won't get any worse than this. Mexico could stop the caravans overnight. Donald Trump will simply supply the motivation. But let's suppose that El Presidente gets his jockeys in a wad about being pushed around. Instead of helping, he lets the cartels loose on the border. Donald Trump now has a shooting war on his hands, and the job of being commander in chief requires that he win it. Overnight, we'd have a major military presence on the border.
Will soldiers fire on barefoot Maria and little Juan Carlos? Not likely. But there are other ways. In the Rio Grande valley, a few patrol fireboats would be enough. Any vessel that left the Mexican side would be driven back with a fire hose. Anyone foolish enough to try to ford the river in a shallow spot would have a similar problem. And the Army Corps of Engineers could dredge the shallow spots, making them unsafe to ford. Not a shot fired!
Because we have a policy that one foot in the U.S. grants you the right to legal process, it will be necessary to prevent feet from arriving. For that, we have Israel's example to imitate. When Hezb'allah was actively invading from Lebanon, Israel set up a "buffer zone" inside Lebanon to protect itself. There's no reason we can't do the same.
The U.S. is being invaded. Mexico is acting as a hostile power abetting the invasion. We have every right to go into Mexico and set up a buffer zone. It can be as shallow as a mile; it would prevent migrants from ever entering the U.S. If they are apprehended in the buffer, they can be loaded on Chinooks and taken back to points south. Our courts would never see them. No more measles, tuberculosis, and swine flu would be flooding into the U.S.
Do I think the president will go this far? He would be fully within his job description to do so. But I would bet that a small amount of inspection squeeze would get El Presidente's attention. He would understand the Donald Trump does not bluff, and the weapon pointed directly at him is far bigger than he can handle. He would melt like an ice cream cone on a Miami summer sidewalk.
"Promises Made, Promises Kept" is not just a slogan. It's the most powerful tool of international diplomacy ever invented. Donald Trump's hole cards are aces. He's not afraid to go "all in" when it matters . Swamp critters see the strength and won't push hard. It's not worth it to them, but it is to us.

Behind and beyond the Mueller Investigation
By Rick Hayes
Had Hillary Clinton done what she was supposed to do and won the 2016 presidential election, the American people would never have known about the "dossier," the FISA court, Christopher Steele, or Carter Page.
Hillary and Hillary alone had to win, but she didn't, and so a true conspiracy to overthrow a duly elected President of The United States commenced. By deciding to take part in the coup attempt, senior members in the FBI and DoJ risked going to prison for up to 20 years according to 18 U.S. Code §?2385 -- advocating the overthrow of government. But not even a deep hatred for Trump would have been enough incentive for them to consider such a thing.
The stakes had to be nosebleed high to present to the FISA court a stack of paper filled with unverified stories and salacious hit pieces that would have eliminated it as serious evidence by any legitimate district attorney. It was given the exotic name "dossier" but in reality, all it amounted to was 35 pages of obvious fiction accepted by the FISA court not once but four times based on FBI approvals.
So why was it so imperative that Hillary had to be the next president that the DNC threw fellow Democrat candidate Bernie Sanders under the bus? That the FBI would admit that she committed several crimes with her private server but chose not to indict her? And that a two-year-long careless investigation hoax and worldwide embarrassment was allowed to happen?
It wasn't about who Trump was -- it was all about what Trump promised. It was about the survivability of the swamp.
From the very start, the Obama presidency focused on crushing conservative thought and detaching the country from the Constitution. Undermining the 2nd Amendment with Fast and Furious, forcing Americans to purchase a product they didn't want with ObamaCare and preventing conservatives from forming support networks by unleashing the power of the IRS against them. His policies greatly increased the number of Americans on food stamps and doubled the national debt to $20 trillion. And for this, the propaganda media labeled him the greatest president ever because, in their anti-American world, he was. So it was no surprise that Obama sided with America's sworn enemies by brokering the disastrous one-sided Iran Deal and assisting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
The swamp had to make sure the American people never found out about the little and big names behind the hundreds of crimes committed in order to advance Obama's and the media's anti-American agenda.
And as president, Hillary would do just that. She would make sure the changes made by the Obama administration in dismantling American values would continue, and the illegal tactics used would remain buried. For this accommodation, Hillary would now be able to accelerate the unabated flow of cash from all corners of the globe into the Clinton Foundation coffers.
It was a sweet deal, but it all ended the moment when Trump hit 270 electoral votes. And as we know, Hell froze over, pigs began to fly, and Trump entered the Oval Office, and for the first time in their political careers, Obama, Clinton, and members of the swamp contemplated the real possibility of prosecution.
And since that reality could never be allowed to happen, it was all hands on deck and the start of the unthinkable -- an actual political coup attempt against the President of The United States that included the most massive hoax investigation ever perpetrated on the American people.
The fly in the ointment, and the one factor not considered by the swamp intelligentsia, was the makeup of the person of Trump. For one, the conspirators never imagined a person could withstand a two-year barrage of 24/7 fake negative news coverage along with a slew of "America be damned," political obstructions via Congress. They never figured that a person like Trump existed. A man with the stamina of someone 40 years younger, who brought to Washington the assets he acquired as a businessman in the rough and tumble city of New York as well as the command of the TV audience he gained by his many years as a television host.
On March 22, 2019, the bottom fell out of the last vestiges of the coverup as Mueller handed his report absent any proof of Trump/Russian collusion to new Attorney General William Barr. But only part of the most insidious abuse of power in Americas' history had been dealt with.
History shows us that what goes unpunished becomes emboldened and multiplies. If this country truly wants to recover, to gain some semblance of normalcy and reclaim the rule of law, then it is imperative that all the conspirators involved in this shocking and despicable grab for power must be held accountable. President Trump stated, "This must never happen to another President." the only way to ensure that hope is to seek prosecution. To punish those involved.
This time the coup attempt was non-violent -- the next time it might be very different.

Ratings for CNN and MSNBC continuing to crash, as viewers migrate to Fox News prime time
By Thomas Lifson
Karma has come calling at CNN and MSNBC, the avid broadcast-promoters of the Russia hoax. Viewers who deserted the conspiracy theorists after it turned out that Mueller reported no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia are staying away and — even worse! — migrating to Fox News.
Mike Brest writes at the Daily Caller:
BC primetime host Rachel Maddow brought in her worst weekly ratings of the year last week, following the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
News broke of Robert Mueller submitting his conclusion to Attorney General William Barr shortly before the close of business on Friday, March 22. Last week's television ratings were the first full week of coverage since the conclusion of the investigation into whether or not the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials.
Throughout the week, Maddow averaged 2,458,000 viewers with 392,000 people in the key age demographic 25-54, both of which mark yearly lows for the liberal television host, according to Nielsen Media Research. The week before she averaged 2,716,000 viewers with 479,000 in the demo.
What makes this especially painful for Maddow, who rode the hoax to become the top-rated host in all of cable news at times, is that the ratings decline actually got worse after the exposure of the hoax first broke:
Further, Maddow lost half a million viewers from the Monday before the report was concluded to the Monday after (last Monday). Her ratings proceeded to drop another 200,000 viewers the next day
Meanwhile, things are, if anything, even worse at CNN. Ryan Saavedra reports the abject humiliation of the cable news pioneer at the Daily Wire:
Fox News' Tucker Carlson absolutely dominated CNN last week, beating their entire prime time line up combined in total viewers by over 1,000,000 viewers — and CNN is not handling the news well.
CNN's entire prime time line up garnered 2,474,000 total viewers compared to Carlson's 3,475,000 total viewers.
Ratings from Nielsen Media Research for 03/25-03/29:
· FOX News Tucker Carlson: 3,475,000 total viewers; 625,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
· CNN Cooper: 810,000 total viewers; 203,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
· CNN Cuomo: 875,000 total viewers; 217,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
· CNN Lemon: 789,000 total viewers; 228,000 viewers in the 25-54 age demographic
There is nobody, other than President Trump, whom CNN and MSNBC hate more than Tucker. He relentlessly mocks them, and last week, he exposed CNN's slavish obedience to the DNC.
The culpability of these two cable news networks in promoting a hoax, employing former intelligence officials — John Brennan at CNN and James Clapper at MSNBC — to pretend to offer inside intelligence data convicting President Trump of treason, is serious. Lee Smith, in a long and thoughtful article at Tablet Magazine, calls it "an extinction level event." If they were independent businesses, it might be, but both are owned by huge, wealthy conglomerates that have many other business lines to generate cash and can use the influence ownership of a cable news network provides to protect and enhance those other businesses. Neither is likely to go the way of the dinosaurs, much though they deserve that fate.

Russia's been in Venezuela less than two weeks and already it's threatening to attack Colombia
By Monica Showalter
Less than two weeks ago, Russia shifted the balance of power in Venezuela, sending in 100 crack troops, ostensibly to repair Russian-made military aircraft damaged in Venezuela's massive blackout.
According to the Washington Post:
Two planeloads of roughly 100 Russian military personnel landed in Venezuela. The stated reason for their arrival was to help service Venezuela’s Russian-purchased S-300 air defense systems, which may have been damaged amid the country’s increasingly frequent blackouts. The news followed earlier reports of Russian mercenaries or private military contractors already operating as security for the embattled regime.
Venezuela's neighbors, including the U.S., and Venezuela's own people expressed deep dismay, because it appeared that Russia would be propping up Venezuela's brutal failed socialist regime to ensure that Venezuela's democrats could never dislodge dictator Nicolas Maduro. It appeared to be a replay of what the Putin regime did in Syria to prop up its ally, dictator Bashar al-Asad, as this strong piece by Annika Hernroth-Tothstein at the Daily Beast argued. Russia nevertheless downplayed the the whole thing, and National Security Advisor John Bolton's warning, calling Russia's dispatch of troops to Venezuela "a direct threat to international peace and security in the region" came and went without much notice.
Well, now we get the truth about Russia's real mission. One of Russia's ambassadors passed on a letter from Russia's equivalent of the Senate to Colombia's Senate, warning the neighbor to not dare violate Venezuelan airspace, or there would be hell to pay. If you can read Spanish, here is El Tiempo of Bogota's report. Here is a Google translation of what the Russians said:
The communication, signed by the Russian ambassador in Bogotá, Sergei Koshkin, and dated March 28, explicitly states that any type of incursion into Venezuela, which is supported by the countries that have supported the opposition to the regime of Nicolás Maduro -As is the case of Colombia- will be interpreted by Moscow as a threat to peace and international security.
"The illegitimate use of military force against Venezuela by other states that support the opposition will be interpreted by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation only as an act of aggression against a sovereign State and a threat to international peace and security, "reads the communication signed by the ambassador.
Colombia read that as the unprovoked threat it was, according to El Tiempo:
For [Colombia's legislative president, Alejandro] Chacón, the communication is "extremely serious and important", since the Constitution provides (in its articles 173 and 212) that it is the Senate that must approve the passage of foreign troops and any declaration of war that Colombia makes.
"It is a warning to Congress, because finally we are the ones who allow the government whether or not any kind of military intervention is made in foreign territory, clearly a direct threat to the State of Colombia, that is why we are confirming why direct to the Capitol and not through diplomatic channels, "Chacón told EL TIEMPO.
Is it a threat? Only the way 'nice house you have there, be a shame if anything should happen to it is. It came out of the blue, given that there were no threats of any kind from Colombia at all. What's more, as the Colombian legislator said, it targeted the right people. Most important, it was completely unprovoked. There has been zero rhetoric out of Colombia about militarily intervening in Venezuela, despite the fact that more than a million refugees from Venezuela have poured into that country, with the latest news that they are now breaking down the Maduro dictatorship's border barriers intended to pen them in, and flooding into Colombia, a crisis for Colombia that all by itself is a casis belli.
It did seem, as Colombia Reports's Adriaan Anselma notes, to have some brutally opportunistic timing, too, apparently a bid to drive a deeper wedge with Colombia's top ally, the U.S.
Days after US President Donald Trump publicly humiliated his Colombian counterpart, President Ivan Duque on Tuesday was forced to defend his government against Russian claims he sought to provoke civil war in Venezuela.
(I've argued that President Trump dropped the ball on that one, Colombia's alliance in this Venezuelan crisis is very important and their conservative leader should not be publicly humiliated.) What's more, this isn't all Russia has done. It seems to have the propaganda machinery out, seeking to take down opponents of Venezuela's democrats through Twitter. This one stuck out for me - note the writer's ties to the Russian propaganda press and lockstep adherence to the party line and she falsely (and pretty ineffectually) tries to smear Ricardo Hausmann, a top official with democratic President Juan Guaido's interim government.
They've also wheeled out the propaganda to direct to us, as I noted in this piece here. What's striking about all of this is how blitzkrieg-swift they are being. They move fast, the way nations at war do.
Their mission? Propping up Maduro. And with this vile and unprovoked letter threatening Colombia, they are playing for keeps.

Jim Acosta doing his best to prove Trump is right about CNN as 'fake news'
By Monica Showalter
See also Thomas Lifson's Christianne Amanpour doing her best to prove Trump is right about CNN as ‘enemy of the people’
CNN has been accused repeatedly by President Trump of being 'fake news.'
And he couldn't be more correct, given that CNN's coverage of the border crisis, which not too long ago was characterized by a drumbeat of reports debunking any crisis, is now all about reporting that yes, indeed, there is a crisis.
Breitbart News's Joel Pollak points out the startling U-turn in CNN's coverage:
Remember that? Remember the CNN drumbeat of "not a crisis" and "no emergency at the border"? They're singing a different tune now, as demonstrated by this report from Chris Cuomo:
But here is what CNN had been reporting and commentating on in lockstep coverage:
There is no national emergency at the border
Jorge Ramos: Border threat' is a 'presidential tantrum'
David Gergen: There's No Border Emergency, It's A Fake And Everybody Knows It
CNN’s Alisyn Camerota to GOP Rep. Sean Duffy: You’re Declaring an ‘Emergency’ for What You Don’t Know'
Don Lemon Blasts Donald Trump’s Emergency ‘Non-Crisis At The Border’
And here is leading CNN newsman, Acosta himself covering what he claims are the facts of the matter:
Trump to claim 'crisis' in border wall pitch
Trump claims emergency, Dems say not so fast
Trump responds to Acosta's claim of ‘concocting’ a national emergency
CNN’s Acosta Confirms Walled Part of the Border Is Crisis-Free
CNN was also suppressing news reports it was getting. Remember this incident, when CNN suppressed a local San Diego reporter from KUSI from going on the air to report that yes, there was a border crisis based on the opinions of his Border Patrol sources? Here's The Hill's report again:
A San Diego television station on Thursday said that CNN had asked for a "local view" and then "declined to hear from us" after past reports from the station showed that a border wall was effective.
A CNN spokesperson pushed back on KUSI's claim on Friday, calling it a "non story" since the network ultimately didn't book any reporters from stations in the San Diego area.
CNN called the incident "a non-story." Actually, it was the story, and not just because CNN got negative coverage for its suppression - it's actually the story that CNN is belatedly reporting right now.
Now it's possible to argue that Acosta's CNN colleagues above are polemicists. That's true, but real commentators don't match in lockstep views the way these people did. They obviously were getting talking points, not news. Tucker Carlson has reported many such incidents of CNN taking orders from its political masters in the Democratic Party, such as this time here.
But Acosta's role is news. And he claims to be a hard-edged newsman.
The fact that so many of his reports emphasized that 'there is no crisis at the border' when in fact there was, suggests that Acosta doesn't actually know how to report the news. His credibility is shot, because the data about huge waves of border crossings on the way was out there, just from reading Immigration and Customs Enforcement press releases. You use data to start your story and fill it out with details later. Acosta apparently doesn't know this. Yet he still could have managed to get the story right if he paid attention to the news of the November caravan, which drew massive press coverage and served to encourage more illegal entries to the U.S. That was a dinner triangle to illegal immigrants as word got out that crossing the border was now riskless. It happened. Acosta missed every last warning from that, too.
What we have here is a guy who doesn't know his stuff. Among the White House press corps denizens, quite a few correspondents think CNN's Jim Acosta is just stupid.
But the recent switcheroo in CNN's news coverage suggests there's more to it than just a low IQ here, there's a failure to report news, which is Acosta's very stock in trade. Is there anything worse than a newsman who knows less than his viewers?
He should be embarrased as hell. He's been caught reporting a long-running fake news story when he could have had the true one, given the data lying all around him, and if he were smart, might have even been motivated to report it despite his political inclinations given that anyone with brains could see that a border crisis was rapidly coming down the pike whether he liked it or not. Yet he didn't even have that kind of wiliness to look ahead and do it.
His credibility as a newsman is shot. He's nothing but a narrative boy, doing the bidding of his Democratic Party masters. Fake news is the only thing to call him because there's nothing believable about him.

The Blatant Left
By Ed Rosalie
The entire Trump collusion debacle was played out to the max even though everyone in the media, every Democratic politician, everyone in Hollywood, and even Robert Mueller knew there was no evidence at all indicating any connection between Trump and Russia. But the lie was carried forward for over two years in the hope that somehow, some way, some random shard of lethal evidence could be found to discredit Trump and lead to his being tossed out of office. The rabidity of TDS is relentless, to the point that some of its zealots are turning on Mueller for not providing the desired outcome, and subsequent schemes for Trump’s destruction are already being aggressively pursued.
The only collusion was by government officials and the media in a coordinated coup to bring down the President of the United States solely because they resented and disliked him for beating Hillary. To repeat: it was not an investigation for collusion – it was an attempted coup, carried out right here in our country. The weapons? The press and most media embedded with the Democrats and Mueller’s entire team composed of Hillary supporting, Trump hating Democratic lawyers. Everyone was salivating at the thought of destroying this presidency. A few on the other side quietly wonder: if Mueller knew pretty much from the beginning that Trump did not collude, why did it take two years for the ‘investigation’ to wrap up? Is March, 2019 a safe enough distance from the 2018 November elections to avoid suspicion?
Almost as frightening as the Left’s overt attack on our democracy and its traditions is everyone else’s seeming aversion to seeking revenge or even accountability. Memories are short; the Left knows this. Thus, this complacency helps stoke the furnace that powers the Left to continue to grow more and more blatant, believing -- not incorrectly -- that they can pretty much foster any scam with no need for doing it with any semblance of a clandestine manner.
The key word here is blatant, and that is scary on many levels. The left has no fear, thus it doesn’t need to operate in the dark, because it knows those who are not with them do not have the same focus. The Left knows that negative impacts and even shock at their blatancy is diluted for those rubes on the other side who are more focused with living their lives, caring for their families, and keeping their heads above water. Those others don’t have time to spend their lives plotting and scheming and obsessing over how to undermine and overthrow those who do not agree with them politically. That stuff takes time. Thus negative impacts are quickly diminished by personal responsibility; there’s just no time for reverse-activism. The Left is very much aware that limited outcries and aversion to retaliation will amount to zero consequences.
The Left is neither shy nor inhibited nor possessed of a conscience. Knowing down deep inside that getting Trump on collusion was not quite a sure bet, the Left’s storm troopers figured that if the charge was levied continually, the misinformed would at least hop on the bandwagon and at worst vote against any and all Republicans. At first glance, a line from Phil Ochs’ “Crucifixion” comes to mind: “Truth becomes a tragedy limping from the light.” But that’s not accurate here; today it’s scarier: In present-day America, truth is mortally wounded in full light by the Left’s quest for power, while blatant lies contemptuously take the stage, infect, and mislead (via the media) a huge number of the citizenry. The result is damage to the country on many fronts apart from just the political.
Owing to the short memories of those not on the Left, a highlight reel:
Go back to Michael Brown travesty: “Hands up – don’t shoot.” An obvious lie perpetuated by the left-wing media resulting in horrible looting and riots, property destruction and injured police. No apologies, no consequences.
Has there ever been an election where Republicans claim there were uncounted or misplaced votes that favor their candidates, as seems to happen with almost laughable regularity on the other side whenever they lose?
Hillary Clinton sold 20% of our uranium to Russia. Hello…?
We had the caravan of illegals attempting to storm our borders, but the Left said it wasn’t so and sang their usual ‘the border is fine’ song.
Brett Kavanaugh was crucified at his hearing because of the accusations of a dippy, so-called “professor” who repeatedly tripped over her own statements but was ardently declared credible by the Left.
Conservatives on college campuses must hide their opinions rather than face consequences in the form of hateful backlash, social exile, academic penalty, or even violence.
At random events across the country, or on a regular basis in Portland, masked Antifa is permitted to harass and attack any and all whom they consider enemies, damage buildings, and burn cars, while the police are told to stand down.
A group of Catholic high school students were branded racists basically for not being intimidated by and running away from a wacko fringe group who was cursing and taunting them.
Michael Savage has been pretty much, if not entirely ejected from his very popular podium as a radio talk show host because the powers on the Left couldn’t bear his no-holds-barred, unfiltered questioning and revelations of their anti-American endeavors.
Janine Pirro was suspended from her popular Saturday night show for pointing out that an obviously sharia-compliant congresswoman is sharia compliant.
The governor of Virginia, a doctor himself, is actually okay with killing babies once they are born if that’s what the mother wants to do. But humanist that he is, he does want the babies to be made comfortable before they are killed.
Sanctuary cities routinely release brutal criminals into the public, and while the dire statistics are irrefutable, nothing is acknowledged and nothing is done to alter the present pattern.
And then we come to the Smollet case. The grand jury indicted him on 16 counts after the police spent thousands of hours proving that his claim was an idiotic hoax. Result: all charges suddenly dropped, record cleared and sealed away, police ordered to not speak of it. His punishment consisted of filling some envelopes for Jesse Jackson and a small fine. His other friends? The Obamas. Hmmm.
The actions of the Left are reminiscent of the Middle Ages and most dictators: use the ignorance or lethargy of the masses to keep them inert and diminish any threat they might offer. Today, the Left uses or manipulates the civility and personal responsibility of those not with them to insure their own invincibility while its own well-armed miscreants blatantly and indomitably strut their stuff in full view, fully aware that they can pretty much do as they wish. …and woe to those who warrant their ire or oppose them in any way.
