I live in Los Angeles and anyone who would like to set up a trip to see JB in Danville which is near San Francisco, I would be willing to go up there to meet with him. We would need to set up an appointment with him to do so and that would entail actually speaking with him or getting in touch with him via email. We could collect questions and comments to present to him. We need to grill him on things.
Sloth
I don't have private messaging here but my personal email is islandersloth97@yahoo.com. Something has to be done here because JB is failing us miserably and I'm just fu*king sick of it.
Sloth
Please hook me up too please.

I had communication with Cavit. Things are bumpy but they still may be able to work things out. I know its anything but concrete but I still have hope for us yet.
Go Cavit.
Sloth
Thanks because this if friggin pathetic.
Sloth
We could be done. It sure seems so and others are thinking the same but that's the nature of this beast. This stock never gives you high highs but it gives you really low lows and it's been doing that for years. I'm losing all hope I hate to say. I haven't been able to call JB to help me feel at ease so I'm just spiraling downward into a RDWD/SIVC depression that I've been duped.
Sloth
Someone please post JB's current direct number. I want to make sure I'm calling a current one since nobody here is getting anywhere and nobody has talked to anyone.
This is making me sick. I'm beginning to believe there's not any legit penny stocks out there. I really thought this was a real company but I guess that's how they really suck you in and get you to spend a lot of money. The more real it looks, the bigger and better the scam.
TIA,
Sloth
p.s. does anyone know offhand the number to call for the SEC for investigative purposes and not just a general number? Maybe even a name.
RDWD's last closure I believe that we hold stock in:
MONGOLIAN RESOURCE CORPORATION LTD (MUB)
http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20111003/pdf/421hmlpk4gm66d.pdf
suspended already.
Yes, we could definitely be screwed here. Very dire times here. JB used to love putting out the PRs all the time to get people excited. Now that the business is kind of established, just let the share price dwindle and fade away. He could justify going private in his mind since the public thing just wasn't working and he had "no other choice".
There's rumor of people contacting the SEC about RDWD and JB on other boards.
Very bad times.
Sloth
what's Rob's email address? I can't find it anymore.
Sloth
I'll have to admit I'm getting pretty nervous again about this stock. Being completely silent is never good. If there was good news to report I'm sure JB would be tooting his horn loudly.
This is pretty pathetic. We're nearing the end of ANOTHER year and nothing. We are at rock bottom. No pps improvement, more shares outstanding and holding in companies that are doing terribly now. BOY is at 62 cents now and falling. I don't even remember if we own shares in that or not since we can't get anything from JB.
What a crock,
Sloth
Yep, I can't blame them. We were all saying "this is the year" at this time last year and as I've said over the last 5 years. We are at the absolute bottom of the barrel. Actually, we've absorbed into the wood barrel so we're actually lower than the bottom since we did an RS. I'm starting to hear other boards saying it's a big scam and the evidence is there to prove it if researched. I don't know anymore. I want to believe JB is not that way but it's almost impossible to perform this horribly with so many "good things" going on.
I've had money stolen in another company that put out a bunch of false PRs and now the CEO is being brought up on charges by the SEC but the shareholders will get nothing since there is nothing. There's absolutely nothing stopping these people from misleading investors. These PRs should have to be somehow verified by some third-party watchdog org before released but that's pretty much impossible I know.
I really hope that's not the case here.
Sloth
What a POS. This turd has been doing nothing for the 7 years I've owned it. It's gotta do something regardless of JB unless he's just bullllshiting us on everything.
What a crock,
Sloth
Hi everyone. Just saying hi and it's great to see the new peeps, the new energy and the new enthusiasm. Still unemployed and loving it - lol. First time off in 20 years. Going to Vegas tomorrow for some fun in the sun.
I'm not gonna get too excited until we shed at least one of the zeros or we get confirmation that a fairly good sized share buy back has occurred. I think we are very dependent on getting this large share structure to a reasonable size. I know there's companies that go up dramatically with huge shares outstanding but they are exceptions to the rule.
Cheers,
Sloth
JB doesn't know investor relations. That we know unfortunately. I am still long all my shares and am still expecting big things. I don't post here too often since I was laid off from work and usually only posted while I was at work. Time off is nice but I need to find something new.
Probably won't post too much but I will check in. I will tell all my fellow investors here if I decide to sell my shares. I wouldn't just leave without saying something since many here I've been in contact with for years now.
May we reap huge rewards from this very difficult investment.
Good luck all,
Sloth
Lumik,
You have to love to wager if you're invested in Redwood. It's weird not to refer to the company as S3 anymore. SEIH to SIVC to RDWD. What's next?
I kind of want the Canucks to do it but I'll place a wager.
What should we wager?
Sloth
It's really improving by leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. We really need another big customer and we're off to the races. Our tech works but there's a lot of hesitance on what tech to use since this is brand spanking new ground being treaded upon. Ambient has proven tech and products and it's just a matter of time imo. I think the fact that Duke consists of 100% of all their revenue is disturbing to the investing community. It's a bit disturbing to me but Duke seems to love Ambient and has committed to them through 2015. If Duke uses Ambient in China which they probably will to some extent, it will be a huge upward push in their revenues. Eventually, their fundamentals will be hard to ignore no matter how many customers it has.
GL to all,
Sloth
No, it was this morning. I don't think this stock is gonna take off until their name is incorporated much more into the news of their big customers and partners such as Duke, Itron & Verizon. Of course, some info of them being used in the China smart grid rollout to some degree would put some rocket fuel in there too.
Sloth
I think JB only mentioned buying back 500m. He needs to buy back a sh*tload more than that to get us soaring.
Hey Lumik, congrats on those Canucks last night.
Sloth
Like using all the proceeds from a closed deal to reduce the OS to under 500 million.
Ambient Corporation Reports Second Straight Quarter of Profitability, Increased Revenue
Ambient Corporation (OTCBB: ABTG), a pioneer in the development of smart grid communications infrastructure, today announced financial results for the first quarter of 2011, ended March 31, 2011. For the quarter, Ambient reported $12,006,483 in revenue and a gross profit of $5,205,513, compared to $1,683,925 in revenue and $542,887 in gross profit for the same period in 2010.
The first quarter of 2011 also represents Ambient's second consecutive quarter of profitability, reporting $1.1 million in net income, compared to a $2.4 million loss in 2010. Net cash provided by operating activities for the three months ended March 31, 2011 was $2,067,585.
"The positive performance affords us the opportunity to continue to build our engineering team. While keeping focus on the further enhancement of our core products and on the development of utility applications that we believe will drive the growth in this industry, we will also look to add key positions throughout the organization," said John J. Joyce, President and CEO of Ambient Corporation. "Our backlog at the end of the first quarter was in excess of $50 million. As we fulfill those commitments, we should continue to improve the financial fundamentals of the company, and continue on the path of healthy growth. We believe the outlook for opportunity in 2011 and into 2012 is very exciting."
The Ambient Smart Grid® communications platform provides utilities with a standards-based, two-way communication infrastructure from which to launch current and new smart grid applications. Ambient's smart grid nodes provide a universal architecture that empowers utilities to choose the right applications for different segments of their customer base, while the AmbientNMS® acts as an intelligent information dashboard for network monitoring. Using the platform, utilities instantly gain a level of visibility into their network operations previously unavailable, including basic applications such as outage tracking and energy loss detection.
Operations Highlights
REVENUE. Revenues for the three months ended March 31, 2011 were $12,006,483 compared to $1,683,925 for the corresponding period in 2010. Revenues for each of the 2011 and 2010 periods were attributable to the sales of products and maintenance to our primary customer. Revenues for the 2011 and 2010 periods related to the sales of products totaled $11,972,003 and $1,665,065 respectively. The increase in revenue during the 2011 period reflected an increase in the number of communication nodes delivered.
COST OF GOODS SOLD. Cost of goods sold for the three months ended March 31, 2011 was $6,800,970 compared to $1,141,038 during the corresponding period in 2010. Cost of goods sold included all direct costs related to manufacturing of products and consisted primarily of direct material. Cost of goods sold also included expenses related to the write down of inventory to the lower of cost or market. The increase in cost of goods sold during the 2011 period reflected the increase in production to fill purchase orders placed by our primary customer as discussed above in REVENUES.
GROSS PROFIT. Gross profit for the three months ended March 31, 2011 was $5,205,513 compared to $542,887 for the corresponding period in 2010. The overall gross margins for the 2011 period increased to 43% compared to 32% during the 2010 period. The increase in the gross margin percentage in the three month period ended March 31, 2011 compared to the corresponding period in 2010 was a reflection of the maturing of our product set, an enhanced ability to plan production and scale based on increased lead-time and transparency in the forecasting and purchasing process of our primary customer, and a stable and productive relationship with our contract manufacturer.
A more detailed description of Ambient's business, our results of operations and financial statements are contained in the Annual Report on Form 10-K filed with the SEC on February 23, 2011.

Very Good News Today 5/10/2011
Duke Energy and ENN Group Sign EcoPartnership at U.S. State Department
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton presided over a signing ceremony in which Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) and China-based ENN Group joined forces to form an EcoPartnership with the city of Charlotte, N.C., and the Chinese city of Langfang in Hebei Province.
The EcoPartnership program is administered by the U.S. Department of State and the People's Republic of China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). It focuses on and encourages a wide range of collaborative public-private activities designed to stimulate innovation and sustainable economic development.
This EcoPartnership agreement follows a Jan. 18, 2011, announcement of a Duke Energy and ENN collaboration on the development of green cities in China and the U.S.
The EcoPartnership will focus on cleaner energy generation, smart grid technologies, energy storage and energy efficiency solutions.
Duke Energy and ENN's initial EcoPartnership projects will involve testing of solar power generation, substation and community battery storage capabilities, grid management optimization and energy efficiency initiatives.
The larger EcoPartnership collaboration will be complemented by best-practice sharing at the municipal level. Specifically, the cities of Charlotte and Langfang (which is located approximately 40 miles southeast of Beijing) will collaborate on promoting energy efficiency education and encouraging local community action.
Others may join this EcoPartnership in the future, including universities, additional companies and other public entities.
David Mohler, Duke Energy's chief technology officer, and Dr. Zhongxue Gan, vice chairman and CTO of ENN Group, signed the EcoPartnership agreement in the presence of Secretary Clinton, Assistant Secretary of State Dr. Kerri-Ann Jones and NDRC Minister Zhenhua Xie. Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx and Langfang Mayor Aimin Wang also participated in the signing.
Etrade isn't showing RDWD either on its streamer. eom
NAT, This is it. This is how it is unfortunately. JB cannot and will not open dialog with us. I am invested because I believe the pps will rise despite JB. I am hoping he steps down as CEO and lets someone else with more shareholder understanding take over. I think we're just screwed until that time but I hold all my shares because I think the company has a great business model and will perform well for sharesholders in a couple of years (maybe 5).
Sloth
We have very smart scientists and such. You would think that they could harness all the worlds energy into usable energy and create no negative footprint. I go to the beach a lot and can't understand why there can't be way to create energy from the tide. It never ceases to happen. Solar power is another. If the sun doesn't come up then we have bigger issues to think about. Figure out the technology needed to use those constants.
If I were smart, I would do it. lol
Sloth
I like Duke a lot but I'm sure I'm real happy about that. Love the idea of Nuclear power but there's huge dangers and issues with waste.
I don't care how many times someone tells me something is safe. The stuff is safe if it's done within the known scenarios. When something happens outside of those "known" areas is when all hell breaks loose. Radioactive elements aren't like dam breaking that has terrible ramifications for a period of time. It has ramifications for millions of years and can't be undone. I don't like it.
Sloth
We've completely fell into the weeds in regards to being a reporting company. We are now a "OTC Pink No Information" tier company. We used to be current. This cannot help the pps either. Crazy we guide these companies to the western markets and help them become reporting companies and attract investors yet we are terrible in that respect. I guess our potential clients don't use us an example. Can't help closing deals. JB has failed miserably in maintaining transparency and keeping shareholder value. We will never go up in pps until this changes.

Shareholder Meeting Notes - April 29th, 2011
Thanks to Schoolman91 on Yahoo board.
A total of maybe 8 people there, That were not associated with ABTG ....
A nice chart on wall having to do with node shipments per month... in 2/11 around 3000...
maybe about 2500 total shipped in 1/11 plus 2/11
3/11 they shipped 5,000 nodes in that month alone and expect (unless something strange happens) to be shipping about that amount per month for the rest of the year .
Some of the 2/11 & 3/11 shipments of nodes when to South Carolina .. between those two date between 1000-1300 in SC
Con Ed still owns about 35 million shares but nothing going on with ConEd node wise/smart grid
Now have 70 employees including one doing business on the ground in Europe
No I repeat NO nodes installed in China .. However they are hopefully mentioned by Duke as one of Duke's best vendors...
Possible huge amount of additional business after Progress merger.. more than 900,000 transformers have to be covered ...Rogers to be Chairman of the Board of Duke after merger
Gross margins about 40%
4th generation node in beta testing
of the 35,000 nodes installed less then 100 have been defective (including being dropped during installation)
nothing definite on amount or when on reverse stock split
more $$$ to be spent on educational information about smart grid
Not to mention our 50¢ cup of coffee will be $2.00 and a line around the corner to get it.
Sloth
Although I'm disappointed that they won't file audited financial reports, everything else they mentioned is status quo. Dilution will continue...of course. I'm fairly confident that that's no big shock to almost everyone here. I'm glad they came out and said it. I like honesty even if its bad news. At least, those who hold shares can make a better decision as to whether to buy, sell or hold. The stock has always been risky and I don't think anything in that letter makes it any more or less risky at this point.
Good luck with that decision all,
Sloth
Shareholder meeting is tomorrow too.
Slothh
one to three years before shareholders possibly see a return. Even then, it's still a question mark. The company is doing great. Just don't know if we will as shareholders.
Sloth
Holter, you have a strong right to voice disapproval here as does anyone. I do think we have entered into a new era with all the fundamentals changing for the positive but who knows how long that will take to translate into our wealth. Hopefully, it will happen this year to an extent.
Best of Luck,
Sloth
I would just go back and read their past news. Their numbers are up incredibly and that is due to Duke. Duke has been testing and using Ambient's technology for years now and nobody really even knows about Ambient which is why their pps is really low. They have partnerships with Duke, Verizon, ConEdison, Echelon, Itron, etc. They are tested and proven technology that works with and can be adapted to the current powerlines and electrical grid today. They are ready to go with any utility company worldwide and have the track record to prove it. They're still a very small company with risks involved but I think it could be a very rewarding play. In 5 years, the stock could be worth hundreds of times its current value. That's why I've been buying it weekly over the last year and a half. Don't buy because of me. Do your DD and make your decision. I've made plenty of bad ones myself so I'm in no position to give stock tips.
I know this is a bit off topic but it really isn't since Duke and Ambient are really close and I wouldn't be surprised if Duke acquired Ambient in the not-to-distant future to keep everything in-house.
GL,
Sloth
Jb believes the house should build itself once the foundation is there. He just doesn't understand the market and he never will. The only way we make money is if the pps moves despite his ignorance or someone else take the reins and steers the carriage. I'm actually hoping for both but that JB doesn't leave the company. He's very valuable but he hurts the shareholders due to his ignorance.
Sloth
I'm heavily invested in Ambient Corp which Duke uses as their Nodes for the smart grid. Duke also uses other tech for the smart grid but I've chosen Ambient as the stock that's gonna make me millions. lol I've thought that before.
Anyways, I want to start a position in Duke. They're really working hard to better themselves and do right for their shareholders so I want to be part of that. Dividends cannot be underestimated so I'll probably be tranferring funds over to take a position here. Better days are ahead for Duke.
How can you go wrong with a name like Duke.
Sloth
Absolutely. I don't even have a position here and I wish I did. Just don't have the money right now. If when I do, I think I will start buying. It also has options which is nice since you can write covered calls on your stock but the premium on the options is pretty low but it's an option (no pun intended).
GL,
Sloth
"E" Added To Stock Ticker Symbol
When a company that trades on the OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) becomes delinquent in its reporting obligations with the SEC (for example, it submits a required filing late or in an incomplete form), the letter “E” will be appended at the end of the company’s stock ticker symbol. After the “E” is added, the company is given 30 calendar days (60 calendar days for most foreign companies and domestic banks), known as the “grace period,” to become current in its reports. If the company files complete required reports during the grace period, the “E” will be removed. If the company fails to correct its deficiency, the company’s stock symbol will be removed from trading on the OTCBB.
http://www.sec.gov/answers/eadded.htm
Does the "E" stand for Exciting or Extraordinary?
There's absolutely no need for another reverse split. We have the business now to generate great revenue. If there's someone in the company that's worth their salt when it comes to shareholder value, they will do us right by buying back shares incrementally and give us great value within a couple of years.
AND IS THERE A BETTER TIME THAN NOW TO BUY BACK SHARES? CAN'T GO ANY LOWER.
Sloth
