Sorry to be blunt, but how does twitter spamming help? That is pretty annoying. Like being nagged to death annoying. The short issue has already been acknowledged by management. They are evaluating all available options to unlock value to shareholders which MAY include delisting. Leave management alone and let them focus on their priorities. Kudos to Peter for staying the course and keeping emotions in check. I'm sure the shorts are reading this board and getting a kick out of all the panic. In fact, this is probably adding validation to their tactics and fueling their motivation for them to continue shorting.
Just saw this video on Vancouver's Skytrain.

Glassware anyone? Transportation systems being run on legacy hardware and software.
I had the same thoughts too listening to the presentation. Video gaming portion stretched out way too long. No screens or better case yet, DEMONSTRATE the simplicity of the whole app virtualization process DURING the presentation.
I have to agree with mensplus. They should uplist to TSX. I read somewhere that Pinetree is invested in ANY on the TSX-V too.

iceberg sell order at $7.24 taken out (ANY on TSX-V)
"Anonymous" has been buying boatloads at almost $2 million worth in ANY shares since July 22. No other broker has been a consistent seller. Looks like they are trading small lots again. Thoughts?

Yes for sure. Works for company issued laptops and BOYD. If remote employees needs specialized software to do their jobs, the OS would not matter. In fact, if the offshore location is somewhat permanent, a V3 appliance running Glassware on a local private network at the remote location would probably do the job as well. And because Glassware is supposedly easy to set up and maintain in "clicks", the resident IT guy should be able to take on maintaining the appliance.
Stars are aligning with ANY. I didn't discover ANY through HTFBSN but instead, discovered it by shear luck through eyeballing through ALOT of companies. What I am seeing in ANY is that it is shaping up to become a "superstock". If any of you have read Jesse Stine's book, you'll know that Sphere 3D is hitting almost all the items from the TA and FA checklists.
Seeing a news release about earnings is a huge validation of things to come.
I'm not a hardware guy, but I would think that this would be a possible scenario to have the Glassware technology be included into an Intel chipset. This would standardize the technology across many devices and push for greater adoption of Glassware technology. Some ideas:
* Next evolution of V3 appliances with Glassware integrated
* Ability to use an app from another app ecosystem that isn't available on the host app ecosystem (ie. running iOS or OSX apps on a Windows Phone)
* Ability to use an app that is more fully featured from another app ecosystem
* Glassware as a tool for app developers to publish their apps to multiple vendor ecosystems while developing the app in their preferred development environment. It's an alternative to something like this but done more elegantly on the hardware-level instead of software: http://mobiledevices.about.com/od/mobileappbasics/tp/Top-5-Tools-Multi-Platform-Mobile-App-Development.htm
* Someone on this board mentioned Internet of Things. Ericsson actually put together this video a few years ago:
A few use cases:
* End user requires access to glassware-enabled apps at location with weak or intermittent network connectivity (ie. wifi)
* An executive spends much of his time traveling and requires access to his glassware-enabled apps (ie. flight/airport usage)
* End user is giving a presentation with a glassware-enabled app at a location with unreliable network connectivity
* End user is giving a presentation with a glassware-enabled app at a location with good network connectivity, but requires an offline access backup
* A remote employee is working from a location and requires access to a glassware-enabled app. The network route to the data center is congested
* A consultant requires access to the glassware-enabled app from a client site with a policy prohibiting network connectivity to the server running Glassware
* Many end user requiring access to a glassware-enabled app at the same time in a way that would saturate network bandwidth
* A student does not have internet connectivity from home and requires access to the glassware-enabled app to complete an assignment
From the update:
"The latest IP creation is a culmination of years of miniaturization work with the intent of making Glassware 2.0 completely portable and available offline. "
Sweet, guessed right :) Offline mode!
Bought more again today. We are close to bottom IMO. Pierced bottom BB and RSI is close to 30. Buy when market sentiment is low.
Just bought another small batch this morning.
Take as an opportunity to add more
Nice, he has a Windows Phone
Nice, an independent review
Azure RemoteApp (Glassware competitor) has deficiencies that Glassware addresses:
* No legacy support
* Cannot run on-premise

If this is the case, I really hope Sphere 3D would opt to up-list to TSX instead of de-listing from Canadian exchanges completely. I'm invested in Sphere 3D through the TSX-V.
A perfect opportunity to make some sort of NR before briform so that they have something more to talk about. Perhaps a demo with one of their new unannounced clients? :)

Weird trading activity today. My lowball bid was filled in 100 share increments.

It could also be somewhere in the middle and that not all 32,0000 chromebooks be licensed for Glassware. In this scenario: Only if a specific class requires software that isn't available in the chrome web store (eg. Photoshop, AutoCAD, etc) would it be made available to the student at the cost of software licensing ("the application" and Glassware if by CALs). This cost would be subsidized by the school or paid for by the student as required courseware material.
Will students be able to download and install software on their Chromebook?
No. At this time, Chromebooks do not support software installation. Rather than running traditional software, Chromebooks rely on web applications. Chesterfield County Public Schools will install or make available various educational applications (as a Glassware-enabled application?) from the Chrome web store.

Will students be able to add apps from the Chrome web store?
There are numerous apps and extensions that can be added to Chrome. They are listed under Chesterfield County Schools in the web store. Some apps have a cost and will not be provided by Chesterfield County Public Schools.

Waiting for a pullback to add more shares. I'm at 50% principle and 50% free shares at the moment. I have a core position that I will not sell until much higher. If the share price doesn't pull back in the short term, I will ride my core position up. This will allow me to take emotion out of trading (cycle of greed and despair).
I agree as well. Also, investing 100% of your savings on one stock is a risky endeavour IMO. There are factors that cannot be controlled by a business that can send the share price crashing down (ie. market crashes - they happen with no warning).
Marker insider buying July 3 for ANY:
Trading Date Ticker Insider Volume Average Buy Price Average Sell Price Buy Sell Net
Jul 3/14 ANY 13,800 13,800 $10.789
Hmm the article says RemoteApp's closest competitor may be Glassware, not that RemoteApp is powered by Glassware if I'm not mistaken?
So an IT Director can't also be a technical trader?
I've been thinking exactly that too. Why shares? But then again it's not really alot and the added dilution is negligible.
I'd like to see the look on Jerome Hass' face when he airs on BNN again to talk about the performance of his short recommendation on ANY. :)
$11 on TSX-V (ANY)!
If this isn't a short squeeze, then I'd have to say that this is pretty darn awesome.
Ah that explains it. I had been wondering why the ANY did not perform as well as SPIHF today.
US dollar downward breakout:

I don't see anything either?
It could also be an unannounced Managed Services provider making a recommendation for Glassware.
CCPS Research Paper

There is just so much news about Chromebooks being used in schools. I've seen news releases being churned out everyday about school districts planning to or currently committing to or piloting these devices:
https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=chromebook+school&tbm=nws&tbs=qdr:d
How many of these schools would need to run traditional/legacy applications vs apps to support the school curriculum? We're also going into the summer too, so there is HUGE opportunity for Sphere 3D in the next few months to win business... before the school year starts up again in September.
While Citrix or VMWare offer a competing product, going with one of these two giants would require the cost of licensing, hardware, and hiring an additional FTE (at annual salary $80,000+) to manage the infrastructure and support required to maintain this. This is something that I think most schools won't have in the budget for. Sphere 3D and Glassware is positioned for ease of administration and maintenance that an existing IT resource can just jump into.
I would expect (or would hope) that an uplist to the TSX would be in order. A few companies dual list off the NYSE/NASDAQ and TSX. Off the top of my head, Blackberry and Sierra Wireless.
