.10 cents this morning. How much longer can the doors stay open?
I'll get that name on Monday. Its listed in bloomberg, I just can't remember right now.
I did notice the drop to 11cents. My research shows that Steve owns 57% of Saleen stock. Stuggenhaggen (spelling) is second second largest followed by a investment fund, David feine and then the attorney for Saleen.
Curious to see how the shares will be liquidated.
Saleen traded a massive 20k today.
Those 2 blog posts will surely eliminate that 12 million dollar whole their in.
2,000 hits, like the 75k facebook likes? 90% are from Mexico, which leads me to believe they were purchased and are bots.
I doubt anyone will invest another penny with Steve Saleen.
I don't think so either, if they were solely dependent on the car show (which they're not) they would need roughly 143,000 cars at their car show to show up.
Personally, I highly doubt they will get many more investors who are looking to lose money.
Who do you think keeps the $35 entry fee?
1. Steve
2. Molly
3. Board Members
Why anyone would pay $35 to park in the Saleen Automotive parking lot is beyond me.
How do they need to raise for to keep the doors open another qtr?
$35 to join the Saleen car show?
They have a shop.

It looks huge, but in reality the biggest building is a shell.
Any chance I can tell you my name is Steve and you could hand over your money to me?
You'll get the same outcome.
A buyout? Not likely. Ford won't touch them, Chevy and Chrysler want nothing to do with Saleen. This is not my personal opinion, it's apparent because Saleen has no relationships with any of the manufacturers of who's cares they modify.
Tesla for example, had NO IDEA Saleen was developing their own Model S. Not really the best way to try and start a business relationship.
If bought out by Ford, that would most likely terminate the camaro, challenger and the model S.
My money and investors money ended up in the pockets of board members and the Saleen family. Those are not the investments I make.
I'm happy I don't know them or call them my friends. I would be embarrassed if I was.
Agreed, taking cash and throwing into the toilet will be worth more than investing in Saleen.
With the stock dropping every single day since going public, why on earth would you buy more?
I've noticed they've never actually been honest with anyone.
No honesty in reportings
No honesty about the Tesla
No honesty about partnerships
the PR is lies.
Look at their facebook (as mentioned before) with 100 comments coming over 75k fans, this leads me to believe they purchased the fans.
This appears to be nothing more than a get paid quick scheme for the family.
I regret ever investing.
Looks like a Camaro.
Milesblue42,
You're right, Tesla won't be loaning Steve a car. Tesla had no idea about the Saleen Tesla until the PR attempt.
Bankruptcy is almost a sure thing at this point, filing bankruptcy on one entity is not a positive outlook. But we'll see how all this goes as Saleens main entity is out of Florida, from what is looks like being for obvious legal/bankruptcy reasons.
Agreed, starting the week .13 is not the way you want to start. For due report, I wouldn't be surprised if it showed bankruptcy.
When they go BK, what will Molly Saleen do when she can't vacation around the world on other peoples money?
No doubt, if I could buy at .13 and sit at $1.15, I'd be a happy investor. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this is the case.
Saleen, Inc. files bankruptcy, is Saleen Automotive next?

No one will do business with him, as it seems? I don't know Steve, but it looks like he's completely lost with no sense of direction is doing anything possible to keep the doors open.
In reality, how much longer can he operate being nearly 10 million in debt, no viable sales and no real partnerships?
Tesla really has no idea about this Saleen Tesla? That is not really a good sign at all. Assuming so, Saleen &/or customers couldn't rely on Tesla for anything as the Tesla warranty would be void once Saleen plays with the car.
Yea shaky deal at best.
Does he have any relationships with Chevy or Dodge? I know Ford isn't happy with him, nor do they do a lot of business with him.
This is a mess.
And, from research and customer complaints, Saleen honoring and completing warranty work is shaky at best. With the current financial situation of Saleen, will buyers really want to drop that money and have no reassurance that the warranty will be honored.
From my view, I buy a Saleen Tesla and something goes wrong, I have no support from Tesla and will have to rely on Saleen to cover all warranty. That is not something I would feel safe about.
Interested in seeing the final product, also what the price will be. I wouldn't be surprised if it was $140K + range.
Not many people I know will be paying $140k for a Saleen Tesla.
Anyone who has stock in this company should bail. They have shown an impressive downward spiral since the stock went public.
Chalk it up as a loss.
Making 10k per car sold is a pretty good deal, imagine if he sold a lot of cars. Yes, his entire family is on the payroll, sitting back and collecting money, for what?
Must be nice to get paid to travel and play with cars.
According to public record Steve makes $340,000.00 a year as CEO.
Pay Exercised
Mr. Steve Saleen , 65
Chairman, Chief Exec. Officer and Pres
340,000.00
Where can I apply to get 340k a year to do his job?
Since I've been watching Saleen/ Saleen Stock, I can't recall seeing a Saleen car anywhere but at an autoshow. The PR and advertising is terrible.
How can a company sell a product if no one knows about it?
No one is doubting the difficulties of operating a failing business. Look back and you'll see that Saleen was not doing well when he sold the company years ago, and it failed again.
I don't think Saleen can survive, unfortunately.
The Saleen lifestyle is terrible, Molly Saleen on vacation in Hawaii and St. Barts, yet their company is nearly 10 million in debt. Please explain????
Advertising? I couldn't tell you if they advertise because I have not noticed a Saleen ad anywhere.
I don't think he's on this board. lol
We are going to .13 this week
Isn't that a bit obvious? Either he will turn things around or he won't?
I think he will, I know he will. He's getting the right team in order, companies and agencies taking the lead on several projects and a huge unveiling of the Tesla, among other projects.
I know the stock tanked and we're all worried about our money or investment etc. but it'll payoff.
Troll?
Not me, I've been a longtime Saleen supporter and I feel and see things that I don't like.
I invested in this company based on projects and promises that proved to be not true.
Strong marketing? Where is their strong marketing?
Their PR moves are beyond terrible. In all honesty who cares about a relationship with a paint company? Are consumers really racing to Saleen because of the paint they use?
I'm no financial wizard, but if a stock goes from $1.15 to .15 that's usually a sign of a failing company.
